Speaker 1:Peter Sudan receives big ten freshman of the year. Michigan State men's soccer midfielder Peter Sudan was named Big Ten freshman of the year on Thursday when the All Big Ten awards were announced. The native of West Springs, Illinois becomes just the fifth Spartan to ever win the Big Ten freshman of the year award and the first since Jonathan Stout in 2022. Sudan was tied for the team lead in total points with 10 scoring three goals, including the biggest, the winner against number three, Indiana. He added a team high four assists to cap a standout opening season in green and white.
