Good morning and welcome to WKNC's Eye on the Triangle. I'm your host Ellie Feaga. Happy November everyone for however you choose to celebrate it. I am personally an early adopter of Christmas music. I know some others are adamant about finishing out the fall season and giving Thanksgiving it's due time, which I completely respect. Personally, I don't mind blending the two holiday seasons together. But however you choose to enjoy your November, whether that's horror movies or holiday movies, candy canes or candy corn. Please bear with me for one more alliterative device pumpkin spice or peppermint mocha, or maybe you're not into any of it and just want your regular coffee. But whatever you choose, I wish you a great November. Football is nearing an end while basketball is just getting warmed up. The Technician provides comments on stars from both the men's and women's teams Pack women's basketball guard Aziaha James is the projected shining star for this season. Coach Moore put Aziaha in in the fourth quarter, and she certainly made the best of this opportunity when she ultimately took over the court and led the pack into overtime. As brilliant as she was as a sophomore. We are anxious to see what Aziaha does this season as a more seasoned Junior after taking a year to progress and practice as a true leader for the pack. The Technician has comments from both Aziaha James and DJ Burns in an interview from November 2nd, so be sure to check that out if you want to know more about the upcoming season. Next up for my lovers of live music and theater the Rialto Raleigh's oldest theater originally opened in 1936 has officially reopened in full swing after 20 years. New owner Hayes Permar revamped the theater but maintained the classic look of the place. They started slowly opening with speakers, movies, and stand up comedy acts. Now they are fully open for live music as of this past weekend, many musical artists started playing at the Rialto including a favorite folk singer in Fiddler of mine Alison Krauss. But Permar is specially excited to host a variety of local Raleigh artists. Also in the next coming months they will be broadcasting classic Christmas movies for visitors to view in the theater. I'm hoping that in the coming month we may get to learn more about the progression of the Rialto. As this is a topic I expect to be very popular with our fans of Raleigh's local music scene. So stay tuned for that. I'm hoping we might get to speak with Hayes sometime soon. Lastly, we're going to take a look at the weather for this week. North Carolina you finally had me fooled after last week, I thought it might actually be fall now but once again, it looks like it's going to warm up this week. Temperatures appear to be climbing daily, possibly reaching a high of 80 on Thursday. As an out of Stater. This is certainly not what I think of when I think of November but then again, maybe it's the early Christmas music going to my head and I bet any super fans of State going into Wake Forest this weekend for the football game will be pleased to have some more warm weather. And that is all for me as always triangle listeners thank you so much for tuning in. This has been Ellie Feaga with Eye on the Triangle and you are listening to 88.1 WKNC HD-1 Raleigh
