Well, hello everyone. Thank you for tuning in for another episode of the estherpreneur podcast. My name is Edna Harding, and I'm nothing but a messenger of life, hope and truth. And so I wanted to say welcome, welcome, welcome. Um, if you're new here, in this podcast, we talk about business, mindset, finances, relationships, body, spirit, soul, work, leadership, all. It's pretty much business and life God's way. And so if this is the kind of stuff that you like to hear about, you are in the right place. And I wanted to share something today that I thought was so.
Edna Harding [00:01:16]:
Because I was going, looking through my journal, as always, and I was looking at, like, things I wrote and when. When was this? This is when I was 30 years old. So this is back in 2014, guys. I wrote that my mom said that when she was pregnant with me at five months old, she put the Bible on her stomach and would read the Bible day and night to me. So since I was being formed in my mother's womb, my mom was reading the word of God over me and day and night, I felt like that played a part in, in my hunger for the things of God, for the word of God. Like, I just love to learn about God and it's not like a religious thing because I'm trying to earn God's power or earn God's favor. I just like it's interest interesting to me, right? And so today we're going to talk about that. The power of decreeing the word of God not just over yourselves, but over other people.
Edna Harding [00:02:13]:
And I truly believe that none of the words, when you decree the word of God, even over your family members, over your spouse, over your partner, even over enemies, it will bear fruit because his words never fall to the ground. So let me just open up in prayer and we can get started. Dear Lord, I just thank you for my brothers and sisters who are watching this. I thank you, Lord God, that your hand is upon their hearts, your hand is upon their mind, your hand is upon their life, and that you will speak to them through me, because it's not me speaking, but you, oh God. So, Holy Spirit, take over my tongue, take over my mind, take over my heart, take over all of me, and let it be you who increase in my life right now so that it's all of you and not me. In Jesus name. Amen. All right, so I wanted to read 1st Job 22:28, where it says, you will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you, and the light will shine on your ways.
Edna Harding [00:03:09]:
So what I want to start off with is a decree isn't a casual statement, okay? It's a bold declaration made with authority. In biblical times, kings would issue decrees to establish laws. And what people don't understand is when you decree God's word, we're not just speaking our own opinions, we're actually aligning our mouths with the authority of the word of God. Which is who? Jesus Christ. I don't think you realize if you look at my Bible, I feel so bad that it's, you know, it's falling apart. But, like, I mean, I would highlight a bunch of stuff. I would read it out loud, especially, you know, when you're being tormented into my day and night and yours, when all hell is breaking loose, when you're going through, like, the job season galore and it just never ends. It just keeps going and going and going.
Edna Harding [00:03:56]:
You have nothing left except the word of God. I'm not even joking. It should be the first thing you go after. But a lot of times, like, when you have no human solution and you have no hope at all, and there's just like, everything is like, you go this way, you lose. You go that way, you lose. You go this way, you lose. Everywhere you go, it's lose. And your only hope is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Edna Harding [00:04:18]:
This is when the word of God becomes so real to you. I. I did a video a long time ago on my YouTube channel, and you could probably find it back in 2016 or something where I had a. A vision. It's called thank you, Holy Spirit. It was a. It's the one about the Holy Spirit. In fact, I want you to watch that video because there is me sharing, like, my encounter with Jesus when I was on a rowboat.
Edna Harding [00:04:43]:
And long story short, I didn't want him to leave the rowboat. It's very. A lot longer than this. I'm just giving cutting to this part. And he stood up and I remember I was crying. I didn't want him to leave because I was having so much fun. With him. And I was holding on to his.
Edna Harding [00:04:57]:
His body, you know, his legs, like, super tight. And I was like, don't go, you know, like a kid. Like a kid doesn't want someone to go. Holding on super tight. I was crying and I heard him say, I would never leave you. I will never forsake you or something. I will never leave you. I'm always.
Edna Harding [00:05:12]:
It's. It's been a while, so you just have to watch that video. I forgot what he said, but whatever I said in that video, that's what he said. And I think, I will never leave you. I'm always here. Or something like that. I'm always here for you. And then when I opened up my eyes, it was my Bible.
Edna Harding [00:05:26]:
And. And I was so beautiful. It was before all. All hell broke loose. I mean, it was already breaking loose, but it was like the worst. And this is what I cling to because every time I read the word of God, it reminds me of Jesus. It reminds me that he's there with me in the boat in the storm. And I don't know who needs to hear this, but I just want you to know that he's in the boat with you.
Edna Harding [00:05:47]:
Even though you don't see him, he. He's there. All you gotta do is open up your Bible. You know that. I know people like to use Bible app, but there's something about getting the word of God, the Bible and opening it up and reading it for yourself. Because, I don't know, it's just something like, you know, when I. When I need a hug, I'll just hug my Bible. I'll just hug my Bible like this or I'll kiss my Bible.
Edna Harding [00:06:09]:
It's like, I love you, I love you, I love you. Like, it's just something. I don't know. I know it sounds so, like, weird and kiddyish, but it really means a lot to me. And so I wanted to say that. That, you know, when we're speaking the word of God, we're speaking God's word. And it comes with a lot of backing. Like, it's not just like, hello.
Edna Harding [00:06:29]:
Like, it doesn't. It's. It's not meaningless. It's meaningful. Okay, so I want to talk about three reasons why this matters. Number one, when you decree, you align with God's will. So when you speak Scripture, you're echoing the promises of God. So you're saying, let it be on earth as it is in heaven.
Edna Harding [00:06:48]:
So whatever God's decree, you have to align in agreement. So it's kind of like, this is the law of the land. This is what the king wants for to happen. And you have to remind the, like the trespassers or the robbers or those people who are stealing from you or robbing you or abusing you that, hey, this is a law. You're breaking the law. And then you allow the angelic host and the ministering angels to deal with the consequences for the folks that are taking advantage of you. And the problem is, I think the reason why we don't. We don't seem to get.
Edna Harding [00:07:23]:
What do you call it, the attacks don't stop is because we don't know how to fight. And people think you fight it with carnal things, but you actually fight it with the word of God. And, you know, it's so funny. I'm just going to fast forward. You know the reason why I found out. I was like, okay, at the end of the. In Revelations talks about there's going to be a last, like, millennial war, and it's going to be Jesus and I guess his army, I believe it's. Some of them are believers.
Edna Harding [00:07:47]:
I think they're all believers. And then you have Devil and his army, and they're gonna fight. And at the end, Jesus wins. We all know this. Like, and then. And then the devil goes to hell for the rest of his days. And I remember something. I finally put two and two together.
Edna Harding [00:08:02]:
I'm like, okay, wait a minute. Jesus defeats the enemy in revelation. Jesus is the word of God. So why do I have to wait till the end of days to defeat the enemy? If Jesus is the word of God and Jesus defeats the word the devil in. In the Satan at the end, that means that the word of God defeats Satan even now, right? He's the same yesterday and today and tomorrow. And so I got this revelation a long time ago, and I would just. Whenever I would experience, like, really tough battles, I would just find promises that. That, that basically reminded me, hey, this has already been won.
Edna Harding [00:08:41]:
This is the decree. This is a promise, and I will speak it out loud. And sooner or later, the enemy gives up. I mean, he doesn't give up right away, but eventually he gives up and he has to lose. And I have to ring the ding, ding bell and be like, oh, you won again. All right, number two, your words shape your world. Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of your tongue. And when you speak the word, it releases life into dead situations.
Edna Harding [00:09:04]:
So this could be your business, your family, your finances, your health, guard your tongue. Speak life and not death. And I know sometimes they're like, well, yeah, you could say all they want, but the facts is the facts. It's like, well, the facts isn't the truth, okay? Because the facts can change, right? For example, I could be in Dallas today and I could be Dallas in Houston tomorrow or Colorado tomorrow. The facts just change. The truth never change. And let me tell you, the truth never changes, okay? So it's kind of like the grass, the. The sky or gravity.
Edna Harding [00:09:34]:
I can't think of an example. There are nine planets. Is it nine planets or 10 planets? I don't know. But that doesn't change. That's the fact. There are nine, ten planets, whatever the real number is, okay? That is a truth. You cannot change that. Like the Earth is round.
Edna Harding [00:09:46]:
You cannot change that. Facts can change, okay? But truth cannot change. Does that make sense? So this. What better word to line up with the truth? That doesn't change. That is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. And number three, faith is activated by your voice. Romans 10:17 says, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. So when you decree the word aloud, you not only release it into the atmosphere, but you build yourself up.
Edna Harding [00:10:14]:
You build your faith by hearing it again and again and again. Remember, without faith, you don't please God. And so a lot of times, you know, and so simple, right? Like only God, only Christians or Jesus, the real Christians, like, has this thing where all you gotta do is believe. That simple. You don't have to earn it. You don't have to work for it. You have to believe and you have to obey. Okay? Thank you, Holy Spirit.
Edna Harding [00:10:39]:
You can't just believe. You have to obey his instructions, right? And so what I love about this, it's so simple. We just have to believe the word of God. And that's all we need to do. And if he gives you instruction, you obey. Then you're all set, you know? Pretty simple, right? And so today, I just want you guys to make this decree because I truly believe that as you speak, speak this. The angelic hosts and the ministering angels, we will. We will, will help you, okay? Get out of this funk.
Edna Harding [00:11:07]:
Because whatever funk you're in, I see it in the spirit. It's delusional. It's like it's not real, okay? It's. It's a smoke and mirrors, okay? It doesn't exist, okay? The enemy's just trying to lie to you and make you think it's. You're. You lost. But you didn't. You're.
Edna Harding [00:11:20]:
You're still God is. Is bigger than the enemy. Okay? Do not limit God based on your circumstance, based on your eyes, based on see, based on what you touch, feel, and hear, but base it on what? The truth of the Word of God. Okay. All right, so let's go ahead and decree this. I decree that I am the head and not the tail. Above only and not beneath. Deuteronomy 28:13.
Edna Harding [00:11:45]:
I have the mind of Christ. Come on. No weapon form against me shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17. Psalms 5:12. God's favor surrounds me like a shield. You know what, guys? I really challenge you to meditate on the Word of God day and night. Memorize the Word of God because you don't know.
Edna Harding [00:12:03]:
In the last of the last days, you don't know, they might get rid of the Bible. And can you imagine? You know, Americans, we are so free that we could read the Bible whatever we want, but there are a lot of countries out there who cannot read the Bible. And so, like, a lot of them, memorize the Word of God because it's going to keep you alive. And I truly believe that we're coming into a season, maybe not right now, maybe in the future, that we have to know the Word of God for ourselves, right? I can do all things through Christ who strengthened me. He is my shield and my great reward. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He anoint my head with oil.
Edna Harding [00:12:36]:
My cup overflows. Surely goodness and merchant shall follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. For the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So, like you could witness to people without looking at the Word of God. I challenge you, my friends.
Edna Harding [00:12:54]:
In fact, I implore you. Is that even a word? To meditate on the Word day and night and memorize the Word so that when you need it in the future, in the near future. Because times if you have to pay attention to the science, you got to look around and pay attention to the rumors of wars, the famine in the land. Everything that you're seeing in this world, Mother against father, you know, just sin. Like. Like Gamora, like, we just talked about this with a friend of mine. Like we're living in the Gomorrah days, okay? The Sodom and Gomorrah days. Like darkness is no longer hiding itself.
Edna Harding [00:13:28]:
It's all. All in your face. And if you do not know the Word of God. You will be deceived, my friends. You will be deceived. And the last thing you want is to wake up one day on the other side of hell and be like, oh, gosh, I thought I was following God, but I definitely was not because I am now here, right? And I make a joke about it, but it's not a joke. Like, this is serious, guys. If you have never received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, this is the time.
Edna Harding [00:13:54]:
And it's not an insurance policy, but it's a wisdom policy, okay? Like, why would you. Why would you take the chance and following all these other religions that has all these complicated things that there's no proof, right? It's. It's all workspace and. And mind you, okay? And here's the thing, right? I hate it when people's like, well, just, this is the truth. This is the way. This is the life. I promise you, if you really dug deep and you really seeked and understood all the different religions, all the different gods and all these things, you're going to do your research and find out that the one true God is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, okay? The Bible is the most accurate thing in the world, okay? Like, out of all the, you know, scriptures, the Bible is accurate. There's so much scientific facts, so much proof, Even the things that they mention back then, they wouldn't have known would exist back then until now.
Edna Harding [00:14:50]:
Okay? There's so many things, so much stuff. But the point is, do your digging. I know Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I am not even going to question it. I'm not even going to defend it because I just know I don't need to convince anybody, okay? I know where I'm going. I know that my father knows me and I know him and that I am loved by the blood of Jesus and by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the heaven, Holy Spirit and the heavenly host. Like, I am protected. But you I'm concerned about.
Edna Harding [00:15:19]:
If you don't know where you're going to be, please, please, please, I want you to connect with me, okay? You know, we don't have to do it over here. We could do it privately, okay? And I would love to share the gospel with you. The true gospel. Not the gospel, the fake gospel, the real gospel. The gospel.
Edna Harding [00:15:42]:
The real gospel that Jesus preached, the real gospel that the disciples died for. Not this wishy washy, okay, you know, Kumbaya type of gospel. I'm talking about the real gospel. The gospel that's gonna, that's gonna make you crucify your flesh, die to yourself and follow Jesus no matter what the cost. Because you know, at the end of this, this is not about you. This is about souls for the kingdom of God, okay? This is the inheritance that Jesus Christ died for, that he prayed for. And the Lord wants to rescue as many people as he can from the, from the gates of Hades, right? From the things that the enemy has put plan. And the only way for that to happen is if you hear the truth.
Edna Harding [00:16:24]:
So even if you don't accept Jesus, right? Even if you just take the moment to ask someone, you know, that knows God, or if, if you go to church one day or maybe, you know, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you. You don't even know the Holy Spirit, but ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you who he is. Ask him to visit you. I don't care, just inquire, you know, it doesn't hurt to ask questions. It doesn't hurt to seek the truth. And that's what I did. That's what I did. For a while I was like, well, this guy can't be real because this is.
Edna Harding [00:16:55]:
And this happened, I started questioning it. But then I realized there's so many things. I have so many things, like I said, journals and journals and journals of like going on this quest. And I was, for example, I have my foot in the world and I would put in the church and I never really went all in until like I said, like in my early 20s, after I got married, when my, my first husband. But I say this to say like, nothing is impossible for God and He loves you so much. And he. If, if you, especially if you don't know God, you ask him for a sign, he'll give you a sign. Trust me.
Edna Harding [00:17:28]:
He loves you. He cares for you. He doesn't want anyone to perish. And even if you hate God, even if you despise God, even if you, you know, you cuss at God, all these things, he loves you. What kind of God loves you for you? Because no other God will love you for you. Every other God. You have to earn it. You have to earn his love.
Edna Harding [00:17:47]:
Our God, the Lord Jesus Christ, our my Savior, my friend. He's my best friend. He loves me. He died for me. And he loves you and he died for you. And it's not like, it's not like when you Think of like, oh, died on the cross, rose again the third day. Like, it becomes so cliche, but there's power in that. The reason why he died is he wanted to restore the relationship with the Father.
Edna Harding [00:18:13]:
When Adam and Eve sinned, it separated us from the love of God, which means we couldn't have access to God anymore because God and sin cannot last. And so what Jesus did is he became the lamb that was sacrificed, like back in the olden days, so that we can have oneness with the Father once again. That's what he wants. He just wants your heart. He just wants a relationship with you. What kind of God, what other gods want that? Just a relationship with you? Every other God, they want you to sacrifice your hand, you know, eat blood and do all these things. God just wants your heart. Come on now, who doesn't want that? And if you speak to any true believer, because I know there's some fake believers, any true Christians out there, they will tell you that our God is faithful.
Edna Harding [00:18:58]:
