BEYOND LOGIC

One is obligated to drink on Purim until he does not know the difference between “Cursed is Haman and blessed is Mordechai.” (Talmud, Megilla 7b)

Our sages teach that Moshiach will come when we are “unaware.” (Sanhedrin 97a) However, this is not a contradiction, G-d forbid, to thinking, learning, and increasing our awareness about Moshiach and the Redemption.
This means that after we learn and know about Moshiach, our understanding must affect us so deeply that we go beyond the bounds of reason and self-awareness. One way of doing this is by experiencing simple joy. Such joy takes a person beyond his self-aware state.
