Kasra Dash: Hi so today I’m joining with James and today’s video is on outsourced B2B lead generation. What’s the benefits of business owners outsourcing their lead generation.
James Dooley: I think number one the benefit is you are hiring an expert and they will have experience in not just your industry but in multiple different industries. They might have worked on a campaign for another law firm in Edinburgh and you’re a law firm in Manchester so they already have data to say what works. They know which campaigns work and which lead generation models work and which backlinks work for SEO so they can apply that expertise to your campaign.
Kasra Dash: For me the biggest one is a lot of business owners are experts in their trade not in marketing. If I need a roof doing I hire a roofer not a plumber so with lead generation I want to outsource to a B2B specialist who does it day in and day out. They know whether SEO PPC Facebook ads YouTube ads or organic social media works in that industry and if they don’t you’ve chosen the wrong outsourced provider. Always check case studies and testimonials and see what they’ve done for similar businesses. The good thing is if they’re not good you can cut the contract. When you hire in house you risk waiting 12 months to find out they weren’t the right person. A PPC specialist might not understand negative keywords. An outsourced agency with relevant experience already knows what to exclude like careers and jobs if they’ve worked with a legal firm before. If they don’t prove themselves each month they’re gone. Outsourcing gives you more control. You can use two or three agencies and make them compete. I would always outsource because they’re the experts.
Kasra Dash: When looking for an outsourced B2B lead generation company what matters with SEO PPC or social media because some only do PPC and might not have tested others. What’s your thoughts.
James Dooley: First I would look at what has previously worked for myself. Even at the start of a business I’d look at whether the past five leads came from SEO Facebook ads PPC or whatever. If it was SEO I’d hire an SEO expert. If you’re a locksmith Facebook ads won’t work because people won’t scroll they’ll phone someone so PPC works better. In some cases SEO works better. I would also look at what works for competitors. If all competitors are doing PPC then hire PPC. Then I would ask whether they’ve done it before and whether they have case studies. If they’ve only done PPC in finance they might still work for carpet cleaning but you need to vet the crossover.
Kasra Dash: Another big one is making certain they look at your website and give real feedback. If they say your design isn’t good enough or your buttons need changing or your sales copy needs adjustments you need to listen. If traffic arrives and the site doesn’t convert you lose money. Some outsourced agencies like fatrank.com might build a brand new site dedicated to your most profitable service. They dig deep into where you make money whether wet rooms for plumbers or flat roofing for roofers. They build sites around those niches and long term it saves money and time. You avoid payroll holiday pay and sickness pay. You outsource B2B lead generation to a professional outfit and if at any point you don’t get ROI you cut the contract. At fatrank.com we guarantee ROI. If you don’t get ROI you don’t pay.
