This podcast is designed to give English students extra practice by discussing events, history, culture and language.
What do you do every day? What do you do every morning? What time do you eat breakfast and go to school? These questions are about your daily routine. Your daily routine is all the things you do each morning, each day and each week. Everyone’s daily routine is different. Some children do homework after school. Some children do homework after dinner. Some children read books in the evening, and some children watch TV with their mom or dad.
Listen to Jack’s daily routine and answer the questions.
This is Jack. He is 10 years old.
He lives with his mom. His dad does not live with them.
They are a small family. Just Jack, his mom, and their cat, Muffin.
His mom works a lot. She is very busy.
He helps her every day. He does some jobs at home.
He wakes up at 6:30 in the morning.
He makes his bed. He brushes his teeth and washes his face.
Then, he helps his mom in the kitchen.
He makes toast and eggs. Sometimes he feeds Muffin.
At 7:30, he goes to school. He walks with his friend Max.
School starts at 8:00. He studies English, math, and science.
He likes English a lot. At 12:00, he eats lunch at school.
After school, he comes home at 3:30.
His mom is still at work. He does his homework.
Then, he cleans the table and takes out the trash.
At 6:00, his mom comes home. They eat dinner together.
He helps wash the dishes. Then he takes a shower at 8:00. He reads a book in his bed, and he goes to bed at 9:00.
His day is a little different. He helps more because it is just him and his mom.
But he feels good. Jack and his mom are a good team. He knows he makes his mom’s day a little better.
