The new CMS Hub Starter package is set to challenge WordPress and also allows you to personalise your site to your contacts. At a price point that will make WordPress shudder HubSpot CMS Hub Starter lets you have up to 15 web pages and make them super personal to the user. 
Welcoming the visitor onto a landing with their name is sure to get their attention and you can direct users dependant on their place in the lifecycle stage, whether a prospect, subscriber, customer or evangelist they will appreciate the customisation.

Hello, and welcome to another podcast with me, Jen Roberts. Today. I wanted to take a few moments just to talk about HubSpot's new release, CMS hub stuff. This new package is aimed at taking over or having a challenge at WordPress's big dominance in the current marketplace. We're all really used to jumping on WordPress, uh, at that certain level of, of business where we have.

All of the tools at our disposal to create a website that we want. Um, and we can design and have it bespoken have our own bespoke theme. There's nothing really, that's challenged. It. We've had a few CMS that have come around the likes of drew Powell, Joomla decks, but now HubSpot has kind of rewritten that rule.

Now HubSpot's tools were brilliant. The whole CMS that they've had before the, uh, professional and the enterprise levels are brilliant with tools like the drag and drop editor, advanced menus website themes, content delivery network. You'll see CDN 99% measured uptime, a design manager, custom domains, but.

There are this high price bracket. And a lot of our clients who were just needing a website to get started, we're finding that it was out of that price range. So this new package has come in at such a, such a small price point that now it's this consideration that people can take what press has been around for years.

Everybody knows it everybody's used to it. So from a developer's point of view, they're probably going to want to stick with WordPress. But the HubSpot CMS is actually still built on PHP. And it's a language that any developer who's currently been building in WordPress can understand and use. So that reduces the problems between, um, finding certain developers that use certain platforms.

There is a small level of education that's needed and a bit of training, but once you've got the fundamental. Then it's easy to build on top of. There are loads of great tools with HubSpot CMS. Not only is it it's built right in to HubSpot, so you can make use of everything that the CRM has to offer.

Imagine landing on a page, landing on a website and the whole of that website. Depending on your user's position in their life cycle stage. So a life cycle stage is what your customer or prospect will go through, turning them from a, basically a subscriber, somebody who just interested in, in content that you're putting out right through to a customer or an evangelist, somebody who is going to praise about your company and, and, and promote your.

So certain positions like a customer, for example, shouldn't see the same things on your website that a prospect or a subscriber does because they're already a customer. They already purchased services from you or products from you. So really you want to upsell or cross sell, whereas a new lead or a new potential customer wants to see everything that relates to them.

And the more we know the more we store in the CRM, the more we can change on the website, we can be super personalized. Hey James, or, uh, how we can help your company. We can show this on the website. We can hide things. We can display forms, or if we know who they are, we can hide the forms and just give them access to gated content, because we know who they are.

There's no point in getting them to fill out forms. So having a, having a CMS that is directly talking to your CRM has huge potentials in your marketing operations. There's so many avenues that this can take. We've all seen the flags they're on top of most websites, the flags that let us know or get us to choose which language of the website we want to.

Not really, this is lazy using the same principles we could know either through the CMS or through, let's say an IP of the user where this user is based and change the information based on their location. So if somebody is in France or Spain, they're going to see different content to somebody who is in England.

This is super powerful, but not the only tool this CMS has. You can get your developers to change things with the website while your marketing department, or you are making updates to the content. The two can work together. And remember, this is a SAS based system. So SAS means system as a service. That means you don't have to worry about your hosting.

You don't have to worry about keeping that updated. So. Is this something that you should jump onto? Is this something that you should use over WordPress? Let's put it another way. What are we doing? Well, our website is currently hosted on a WordPress CMS. Are we changing? Yes, we're changing because it gives us so much more flexibility.

And with this price point, it makes it much more affordable. WordPress is free or is it WordPress? The actual system itself is free. Then you need a good hosting platform. Then you need to purchase an SSL. Then you might need some better delivery networks to speed up the website. Then you need to make sure that the website is maintained and updated.

Then you might need to buy some dedicated plugins to do certain things. So all of a sudden, it's not as free as we first thought it was. Now the drawbacks with this new product, there's bound to be some drawbacks. And there are, they're not going to give everything to you at this price. They're not going to let you have all of the tools that everything that you want to do with it.

This is very much a starter package. The main floor that we see is you're only allowed a roundabout 15 pages. Now 15 pages is going to get eaten up very, very quickly. Blog is separate to that. So the blog is an add on that's fine, but you imagine you've got. 10 services. You've got an about page, a contact page terms and conditions, cookies.

All of a sudden those 15 can be eaten up, but a lot of companies are still going to be within it. So it's a great starting block for a lot of countries. So in short, yes, this is something you should consider. If you are moving to a new website, if you're setting up a new website, then put it into the mix.

If you are looking at updating your website, definitely put it in the mix. If you've been using WordPress, if you're happy with WordPress, if you've had a huge amount of customization done to your current website, then probably don't. If you're operating an e-commerce website that has had a lot of customization, then again, probably don't move.

It's probably not a good fit, but for everybody else, take a look. If you want to demo.
