There is no shortage of stories about people working 2nd jobs. The latest is from a Lending Club survey that reports almost half of employed consumers have some other form of supplemental income.
An important part of this story: it’s not just low-income or those who are cash-strapped doing extra work. Those earning over $100,000 are more likely to be growing supplemental income.
Fortune Magazine called this Overemployment.
Is it?
It’s true some need to make ends meet—but the media can make it sound like economic hardship is everywhere. I know for a fact that many of our clients are property owners, consultants, or have several businesses outside of their 9 to 5.
One path to wealth is multiple sources of income. That’s just good old fashioned hustle.
