Bank Negara Malaysia has released several periodic publications detailing recent data on international reserves, monetary policy rates, enforcement actions, and announcements of upcoming events and publications. These include P.N. 01/2025, P.N. 02/2025, P.N. 03/2025, P.N. 04/2025, P.N. 07/2025, and P.N. 09/2025. The updates provide transparency on Malaysia’s financial stability and monetary policy environment, informing regulated entities and stakeholders about compliance requirements and risk management. Notably, enforcement actions include the imposition of compounds on money services businesses. Market participants are advised to monitor these updates closely and stay informed on upcoming regulatory events and publications issued by Bank Negara Malaysia.

In Singapore, the Ministry of Finance has launched a public consultation on the proposed Finance (Income Taxes) Bill 2026. The bill proposes 20 amendments to the Income Tax Act and 2 amendments to the Multinational Enterprise (Minimum Tax) Act 2024. Key proposals include enhanced tax deductions for qualifying artificial intelligence expenditures for the years of assessment 2027 and 2028, an extension of the 250% tax deduction for qualifying donations until December 31, 2029, and a corporate income tax rebate of 50% for the year of assessment 2026, subject to minimum and maximum benefit thresholds. These measures aim to keep Singapore’s tax system competitive, support innovation, and align with international tax standards, including the implementation of OECD Pillar Two rules.

Turning to the Philippines, the Department of Agriculture has lifted the import ban on Argentinian poultry and related products that was imposed in March 2026. This decision follows confirmation of no further outbreaks and negligible contamination risk. The circular lifting the ban takes effect 15 days after its publication and filing. Importers must ensure that imported birds and products are slaughtered or produced after the circular’s issuance date and comply with all Department of Agriculture rules and regulations.

In Indonesia, the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation, known as Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan or LPS, has announced the payment process for insured deposits of PT BPR Prima Master Bank. Phased payments began on June 8, 2026, with reconciliation and verification scheduled to be completed by June 22, 2026. Depositors must submit claims within five years from the license revocation date, which is by January 26, 2031. Claimants are required to present identification and proof of deposit at designated Bank Negara Indonesia branches to receive payments. Any disputes regarding deposit insurance status must be submitted to LPS within 180 calendar days from the announcement, by December 4, 2026.
