The KBEAR dudes interviewing your favorite artists!
The Artist Interrogations podcast. Alrighty. There we go. It's on. Pete, test the mic real quick too.
1212. There we go. It's all good. Well, thank you guys for, joining me today. It's awesome to get the chance to talk to you really.
My first major question for you guys was the the the name The Who. Every single time I say it out loud, my parents think of, you know, the classic band, my friends think of the classic band. Where did the name come from? Or what does it mean? Alright.
Our, that was a great question, first of all. So, the name itself is that, it belongs to, like, this intelligent species species and, it's like, for example, like in our language, when you say like sun, we use it starts with h u, so it's like we say it who. So, it's basically like the root word of everything and also like like you said, it kinda sounds similar to like this English band The Who. Even though it sounds same, it's totally different band because like when we when you, write it on the write it down, it's spelled different because, like, you know, the English band is pronounced as, h w h o, but our band is h u. So basically, like, even in, English, when you say human, it starts with h u.
So basically, like, our band's name represent, like, this whole world kinda more so. Awesome. So with that name, we wanted, like, for everyone to, like, you know, feel the energy and feel the love through our music. That's why, like, you know, we gave this special name, the HU, the Who. Extremely cool.
Yeah. I know you guys combine, the classic traditional sounds with those awesome instruments of yours, with the more modern metal sound as well. Growing up, did you play those instruments? And how do how were you, able to find out about American metal and get in touch with this and kinda combine the 2 So, first of all, our band members, all, like, professional musician musicians, they all have this background. And, even like, the school we went it was like, the musical the constitute of Mongolian constitute of music.
So back then, like even in the young age, we used to, like, you listen like western rock music, those kind of things a lot. So we used to have, like, even like a small band where, like, does a cover for the American western music. And back then, like, I used to play, bass guitar. So, like, from those experience, I think it helped me to get more closer to this culture. Yeah.
Extremely cool. I know when I first heard about The Who, I heard wolf totem, of course, the original version, and then I heard the one with Jacobi of Papa Roach. And how did that all come about? Alright. The version of wolf totem that we do with Jacobi Shattuck was for the the movie that just released.
It's called the Retailer Raiders. Yeah. Yeah. So the offer first came from our label, so that's how it happened. So like, like, at first, like, when we met with Jacobi Shaddix, he was just full of energy.
The guy is just, you know, that guy is just an awesome guy. So, like, during those times when we were recording the music, we had this chance to, like, exchange our energy. So, like, working with Jacoby Shaddocks is just always pleasure for us. He's a great guy. Extremely cool.
And to get be a part of this awesome tour with Megadeth, 5 Finger Death Punch, Fire From the Gods, how did you guys did you guys all get in contact and say, hey, let's tour together? How did this all come about with all 4 of these awesome bands getting together for 1 major tour? So, first of all, did a lot of, like, hard working people behind us such as, like, the management, the label, agency, those kind of stuff. So, like like, the bands we have on this tour right now, starting from, like, 5 Finger Dead Punch, those bands, like, we all belongs to the same label. So, like, except the Megadeth.
So, like, that's how this tour started. And, you know, like, today is the last day of the tour, and I'm really excited right now. And also, like, this sharing this experience and doing this tour with this legendary band is just a humbling experience for us. So it's just a great day to finish the tour for us. Yeah.
Extremely cool. I know when it comes to, like, today being the last day of the tour, are there any plans after this to do anything? Are you just relaxing? Are you gonna be going back to the studio? What what are the plans after this tour?
Alright. So after this tour, there's, one more tour waiting for us in Europe. So, like, most of the shows are already sold out. So we're full of excitement at this moment because, like, because of the pandemic, we lost, like, in a year and a half, basically, like, 2 years. So we haven't been to Europe for, like, 2 years, and for that, like, going back now, and, like, doing this tour in Europe is just full of like, we feel, like, full of energy and, like, ready to, like, rock in Europe.
So can't wait for it. Awesome. And, just one final question here. I I because my last interview was with Eike from Apocalyptica and he's from Finland and, of course, you guys are from was it Mongolia? And what was it like to come to America and see what America is actually like?
Because I'm always curious as to what it's like for international people as well. Yes. So, it was an amazing experience for us because, like, the the support that we get from, the audience and the listeners from the United States is just it's a lot to handle. So, especially, like, to mention on this tour, the people are coming to see, like, the legendary Megadeth and also Fire From the Death Punch and also, Fire From the Gods. And, there are lot there were a lot of fans who didn't know us, so, like, them seeing us first time and showing their support to us is just a humbling experience for us.
So for that, coming to the United States, doing our tour, playing is just always pleasure for us. And for that, we're so thankful to our supporters, listeners, and, the fans from our United States. Awesome. I gotta say thank you guys for joining me today and doing this whole thing with me. I know Russell over here, he was the most excited to see you guys perform live.
And, of course, it's my first time seeing you guys live. I've seen 5 finger death punch mega death before, but I was most excited to come see you guys play because it's such a different twist. And it's super cool to hear that, you know, wolf totem sound. Like, as a song as it is, I can't wait to see it actually performed live with you guys. So thank you very much for joining me today.
Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you so much. Is there any way we can possibly get just, one of just you to say, like, who you are and you're listening to KBare 101? KB?
