About Meg & The Daily Pep!
I’m Meg and I’m the host of The Daily Pep! and The Couragemakers Podcast and founder of The Rebel Rousers. I’m a coach, writer and all-round rebel-rouser for creative and multi-passionate women to do the things only they can do and build a wholehearted life. When I'm not recording episodes, writing bullshit-free Letters of Rebellion to my wonderful Couragemakers community or hosting workshops/group programmes, I'm usually covered in paint or walking my wonderfully weird cockapoo Merlin.

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very, very happy Thursday to you. So Part of what we're doing this week on The Daily Pep is we are really diving into figuring out your superpowers and your zone of genius. We kicked off yesterday by diving into how the things that come easy to you may not come easy to other people, And that can be a huge clue when it comes to figuring out your zone of genius. And today, I want to give you a pep Talk around the things that you can do quite quickly. So behind the scenes, I have set myself a bit of a 3 day challenge. Last week, I ran the Fuck the Cobwebs workshop. And as part of the prep for that, I came up with 20 creative ways to battle your inner dream shitter. And it was all laid out on my whiteboard, and I thought, this would make a great ebook.I could expand on the different areas, theme things together, Really go into the theory, make it nice and practical, and it probably wouldn't take a huge amount of time. So in the spirit of experimenting and finishing things And just being me, I thought, right, 3 days, that's what I'm gonna give myself to see if I can get this done. And I've noticed something really curious while writing it, And I've noticed it before, and I think you may have too. As I'm doing it, it's coming together pretty quickly. Going back to yesterday's episode, it doesn't feel like a particularly mammoth task. But the fact that it's coming easy And the fact that it is coming together really quickly is making me seriously doubt myself. It is making me wonder if there's anything of Value there, and it's bringing up all these questions. But here's what I know to be true and is something that I tell other people all the time.Things that come quickly to you are because you've put the work in. By the time we come to sit down to do projects, Sometimes they automatically go a bit quicker because we have been thinking about them for a long time. They are things that have been bouncing around our heads And I've been percolating for quite some time so that when it comes to actually doing them, and obviously, this depends on the medium that you're doing it in, It's kind of a case of downloading your brain to the page. You've done a lot of the heavy lifting. You've done a lot of the thinking, and it's just about getting it out of there. Yet when we do get it out of our brain, exactly like I'm sharing with you now about my own experiences, We really start to doubt ourselves. We think that we must be some kind of fraud or and I know this is a big one. We think we're doing something wrong. But today, I'm really calling bullshit on that both for me and for you. It reminds me a bit of the stuff we See on Instagram and TikTok around makers talking about how, yeah, they may be able to do things quite quickly or make it look really easy, But what you don't see is all of the toil and all of the hours it took to get there and all the things that come before it. So here's just both embracing that if you are doing something quickly and if it feels like it comes easy to you, there is probably a reason You have worked for it, and you are not doing anything wrong. A big theme here on The Daily Pep is keeping going, And we know that can be really tough. So when it comes to times when we feel like we're in the flow and things are just happening, And let's just try to enjoy it because we have earned it. Not everything has to feel like a battle. We get to actually enjoy our work, and imagine if we could embrace that and really enjoy it Rather than questioning it to begin with, I look forward to being back with you bright and early tomorrow morning. And for now, I've got a shit tonne of writing to go and do. So I'm gonna go do that, and I'm gonna enjoy it. And I will see you later.
