Hi my name is Will. I'm a Minnesota agriculture ambassador. Today I'm going to talk about dairy goats. Did you know there are over 15,000 dairy goats in Minnesota? The unique thing about dairy goats is they're a crossover animal so they can either be used as a pet or as a livestock animal and compared to something like cows this is something that is really unique because you can either have a few goats in your backyard that you play with or you can have a thousand goats in a dairy.

Speaker 1:

And something that's really also interesting about dairy goats is there's a dwarf breed that's a part of the American Dairy Goat Association and they're often used as little backyard pets that run around the yard. I'm sure a lot of you have seen little clips of goats doing funny little things. They're really fun animals to be around. This is a little brief look into the world of dairy goats. Thank you for listening to Ag in a Minute podcast.
