Be Not Deceived Podcast with Vicki Wiederrich

What is Be Not Deceived Podcast with Vicki Wiederrich?

Be Not Deceived is a podcast dedicated to looking at Biblical truth and comparing it to the lies the world and the devil is telling to cause deception in the church and in our society at large in the present day. The devil is trying to deceive as many as possible, but God always wins!

[Speaker 1]
Welcome to Be Not Deceived. We are here with Pastor Rick Beaudry again and he is here to continue our study and our talk for part two of our look into the doctrine of the rapture. And thank you again for being here and guiding us in the scriptures that give us an opportunity to have that firm foundation that we can look at the word and follow it and have the evidence right before us that shows us what the Bible says about the rapture.

I want to look at the scriptures that show what the rapture is, but rapture is not even in the Bible. The word itself is not in the Bible. And a lot of people will say that, you know, rapture is not even in the Bible.

So how do we, how do we answer them? And, uh, or anyone who might have that question, why do we call it the rapture? If you're reading, uh, Jerome's, uh, Latin Vulgate, then you'll see the word rapture.

It's in the Latin.

[Speaker 2]
Okay.

[Speaker 1]
So if we're reading, uh, uh, English, you know, King James Bible, um, it's translating the Greek word harpazo. So our new Testament is in Greek, um, Koine Greek. And so, uh, Jerome with, uh, working for the Catholics, uh, tried to get people to lean toward the Latin.

The Latin was more of the educated people's, uh, language, but the common people, the Bible is written for the most common of people, the Koine Greek that people spoke. So, um, with that in mind, in the, the translation we have, uh, when it, when we read the word caught up and we look that word up, uh, in the Greek, it's harpazo, but the word rapture is translated into English from the Latin word, uh, rapturus. So, uh, the word rapture is, you know, is there.

And we, we, we say, we describe the rapture as that, but when people say, Hey, the word rapture is not even in the Bible, I always say to them, how about caught up? Do you want caught up? How about harpazo?

Can I, can I say, we're going to be harpazo? So the truth is still there, even though you don't have, you know, that word rapture there, unless you look at the Latin. So where do we find this in the word?

Well, one of the first places to go is first Thessalonians chapter four, Paul and speaking to the church of Thessalonica in verse 16. We'll start at verse 13, but I would not have you to be ignorant brethren concerning them who are asleep, that you sorrow not even as others who have no hope. So we, when we lose a loved one, the church of Thessalonica, as they lost loved ones, they were dying.

And, uh, and so Paul saying, Hey, you gotta have hope, the hope of the resurrection. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also who sleep, that word sleep is a euphemism for, for death. They're, they're, they're, uh, uh, they're dead.

They're awaiting resurrection in Jesus. Will God bring with him for this? We say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not proceed them who are asleep.

So they're worried about their loved ones that are already dead. Like, are they going to miss the rapture? Are they going to miss being with Jesus?

So Paul's explaining to them for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout. And that word shout is like a military command with the voice of the archangel. Michael's going to second that command.

And with the Trump of God. So the Trump of God, uh, the communication, uh, uh, for war, for a lot of different events, uh, the feast of trumpets, we're going to see in first Corinthians 15, the Takia Gidea is the last long Trump. So with the Trump of God, the dead in Christ shall rise first.

So all those that are in Christ. So there's a key phrase there of in Christ in crisis, the church age, not the old Testament saints. They're not going to be resurrected at that time.

They're going to wait the resurrection at, at the end of the tribulation. So those that are in crisis, a phrase exclusively for those in the church from the time of Pentecost to the time of the rapture, it's the church age. So those that are in Christ who have died in Christ during the church age, um, shall be caught up who are alive and remain, uh, the archangel with the Trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

Then we who are alive. So we're still on the planet. We're alive.

We're in these bodies and remain, shall be caught up. And there's your, there's your word there. Rapture in the Latin, Harpazo in the Greek, in the English here, caught up the word caught up by definitions, like snatched behind the neck and then thrust up very, very quickly.

And so Paul describes this to the church of Thessalonica in the moment, in the twinkling of an eye, like a flash, a flashback very quickly. Uh, this is going to take place, uh, together with them. So the dead in Christ rise first and they're going to meet Jesus in the cloud, in this atmosphere, he's going to come in the clouds and she kind of glory and we are alive.

Remain are going to together, meet him in the air. And so shall we ever be with him. So that's the, that's the timing of the rapture.

That's a way that it takes place to meet the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord where for comfort one another with these words. So the doctrine of the rapture is not supposed to be doom and gloom.

It's supposed to be comforting. It's supposed to be Titus two 13, looking for that blessed hope. What's the hope, the hope that Jesus come for me looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of Jesus Christ, our great God and savior.

Right. So now in John 14, Jesus said in verses one through three, he's going to leave the disciples. Right.

And they're very sad. They're very sad.

[Speaker 2]
Yes.

[Speaker 1]
So he says, let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God believe also me in my father's house or many mansions mansions means dwelling places. Um, some, some would say that dwelling place, uh, our new glorified bodies that we're going to be tabernacled in a new glorified body, my father's house.

So are many mansions. If it weren't. So I tell you, I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you onto myself that where I am there, you may be also so location, location, location, and that that's not the second coming. No, that's not because he's in heaven. That's the location.

Where is he?

[Speaker 2]
He's in heaven.

[Speaker 1]
So he comes for his bride, the church and the church is taken to heaven. Now there's an imagery here of a Jewish wedding, right? The imagery and they would understand at this time is first of all, the betrothal, the betrothal or the engagement, the Holy spirit has been given to each of us in Ephesians one with a, with a down payment, an earnest down payment.

So we're aware we're, we're wearing, yes, we're wearing the engagement ring, not married yet, but, but the groom is coming for me. So first of all, the, the father of the groom makes the arrangement with the father of the bride and pays the dowry, the redemption price that's paid ahead of time. So Mary and Joseph are engaged, they're betrothed, but they haven't consummated the marriage yet.

Right. And this can happen when the children are young, you know, or a year before the marriage, whatever, an arranged marriage. So God has arranged it.

God has elected us. He's chosen us to be the bride of Christ and the Holy spirit, you know, has, has, uh, revealed, you know, Jesus to us and then given us the seal of the Holy spirit. We're marked as belonging to him, even though we're not taken to heaven yet.

So the second phase in a Jewish wedding is the fetching. So we see this in Matthew 25, right? So tell me what's happening in Matthew 25 with the 10 virgins.

So they have five that have their oil and five that do not do not. And what are they doing? They're waiting.

They're waiting for what? Waiting for the groom, the groom to come. Now he can come at any moment, right?

Yep. The eminency, he can come at the first hour, second or third hour, but it's incumbent upon them to be watching and be ready. Now the oil, what's that represent?

The Holy spirit, the Holy spirit and the life of who in the believer, in the believer. So big to be a believer means you have the Holy spirit, right? Those of us that have the Holy spirit are ready.

We're ready. We are already sealed. We already belong.

Now we're watching because he's going to fetch us. He's going to come at any moment to take us. Now, where does he take us?

He takes us to the home of the groom, to the father's house. And he's prepared a room off of dad's house for this new couple to stay. That's what's what's done.

So they'd understand that. Now the third phase of the Jewish wedding is the marriage ceremony. So the ceremony is going to take place in heaven lasting seven days, right?

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
Seven year tribulation period. And it's where the Bema seat judgment is the rewards where the groom is going to pour out his gifts upon his bride, right? Right.

The reward ceremony, not judgment, not judgment, but rewards. So then comes the time of the fourth phase, which is the marriage supper, the marriage supper of the lamb. And that's a revelation chapter 19.

When we return with Jesus and Jude tells us he returns with 10,000 and thousands of his saints. And when he's coming back, he's going to deal with the antichrist, false prophet, all them. He's going to deal with the nation of Israel in that he's going to save that remnant.

And that remnant is, uh, you know, the wife of Jehovah, we're the bride of Christ. And that's that one third remnant Jews. And so he comes back and he, uh, uh, deals with all of his enemies, Armageddon and all that.

We're there with him observing we're in revelation 19, uh, we're in a clean white garments, unspotted, unblemished. We've been washing the blood of the lamb and glorified body glorified bodies, the whole thing. And, um, and then there's a 75 day interval.

There's a point in time, blessed seed that comes to 1300 and 35th day in Daniel chapter 12. And so there's an interim there, an interim period of time where the Lord is setting the stage for the millennium, the millennium, the marriage supper is the, is the time where the friend of the bridegroom, John the Baptist and the old Testament saints are resurrected. And they're a part of coming to the marriage supper, the tribulation saints, the innumerable multitude of saints that died in revelation six and seven.

They're there invited to the marriage supper of the lamb. As we're, as we're celebrating this, this joining with Jesus. I didn't understand that before.

So we're having the marriage, uh, you know, the ceremony, I mean, and not the ceremony, but the, uh, um, supper, the supper, you know, the, that we have, what do you call that? What do we call that in our reception, the reception, the receptions there. And so the friend of the bridegroom, John the Baptist and all the old Testament saints are there.

So we differentiate four types of saints. We have old Testament saints to be a believer, to be a saint in the old Testament. You believe the same way we do salvations by grace through faith alone.

They did not receive the indwelling of the Holy spirit yet because Jesus wasn't crucified. So they would have the Holy spirit come upon them and empower them for, uh, for service. But, uh, Samson prayed.

Um, and he knew not that the Holy spirit had departed. David prayed and take not thy Holy spirit from me. We, in the church, the Holy spirit lives and dwells within us.

We're the temple of the Holy spirit. Never going to leave us. In contrast to upon within, and we have the AP and that we have the empowerment for service that he says in next one, eight, you've received power.

So, so you have the old Testament saints, you have the tribulation saints, you have the church saints, and there's a fourth group that are saints, which is the millennial saints. Those that come into the millennium, the saints of the millennium didn't take the mark of the beast and they're believers. They come into the millennium Gentiles.

All of Israel is saved. That goes into the millennium because they said, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Right?

So they believe in Jesus and the 144,000 and the 144,000 each tribe come in and the believing Gentiles and the believing Gentiles that did not take the mark on the forehead or the, or the hand and didn't get their head cut off. And they're judged according to Matthew 25, as he separates his sheep from the goats of their treatment of Israel during the tribulation period. The Gentiles in general who survived the tribulation period are being judged.

Um, in Matthew 25, he's going to separate the sheep from the goats, the goats. No, because of Matthew seven, many are going to come to him and say, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Cast out demons, your name.

He say, wait for me. I never knew you, you that practice iniquity. These other ones, part of the criteria is I was hungry.

He fed me. I was thirsty. He gave me drink.

I was sick and in prison and you visited me. So it's the treatment of how you treated the nation of Israel. And that's part of the, as James says, faith without works is dead.

We can see your faith by the works, by the fruit of your life. And so they enter in when they enter in there in their human bodies and they're going to repopulate according to Isaiah 11, the curse is reverse. And Jesus is going to reverse that curse.

He's going to rule and reign. And we're going to be in what's the kingdom age, the kingdom age. And so, uh, rule and reign for a thousand years, the devil's taken according to revelation chapter 20 and put into the abyss, the antichrist and the false prophet are taken from Basra at Petra area where Jesus comes, destroys them with the brightness of his coming sword, his mouth.

And they're incarcerated in lake of fire. The wicked dead are going to await the great white throne judgment spoken of in, in revelation chapter 20, verse 11. And, um, the wicked dead will also be bodily resurrected and after the millennium, and they're going to give an account of what they did while they're in their body, whether good or bad.

Right.

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
And so, um, they're going to stand before God and, uh, uh, on that second death right. And the, the, uh, devil, he's going to eventually be in the lake of fire also. And then we go into revelation 21 and 22, the, the eternal state after the thousand year millennium.

So the word millennium is not in the Bible. The word Bible is not in the Bible. The word Trinity is not in the Bible.

And the word rapture is in the Bible. If you look at it from the standpoint of heart pod zone.

[Speaker 2]
Okay.

[Speaker 1]
So there you have, you have that laid out. And, um, so that's John 14, one through three, I go to prepare a place for you. Now in Luke's gospel, Jesus is telling us in Luke 21, 28, um, pray always that you'd be counted worthy to escape these things and stand before the son of man.

Now, if the rapture was mid-trib or post-trib and I'm taking right back down to earth, then I'm standing before him on earth. No, no. He says, I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go to prepare a place for you, I receive you unto myself that where I am, where's he at? He's not on earth. He's in heaven.

There you, he's fetching us. He's fetching us. So pray in Luke 21, that you'd be able to stand before the son of man.

Right. And then he also says in Luke 21, uh, verse 36, pray always that you'd be able to escape these things or excuse me, Luke. Um, I got that wrong.

Or no, he says, uh, when you see these things begin to pass, look up knowing that your redemption draweth nigh. And so we're watching the, the, uh, tribulation period, uh, arise. We're watching the beast system arise.

And when we see that, we know we're close. And so we're praying always that we, we would be accounted worthy to escape these things and stand before the son of man. Now, revelation three, 10 to the church of, uh, uh, Philadelphia, the Lord instructs them.

This is a persecuted church. That's gone through a hard time. And he says to them, he says, because that was kept the word of my patients.

I also will keep thee from not through, not going through from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world and try them who dwell upon the earth, the earth dwellers. So there's a very important, uh, rapture passage that you're not going to go through, but kept from the temptation or the trial, the wrath that's going to be poured out upon a Christ rejecting world. Now we can also look at first Corinthians 15, as he's talking about the, uh, resurrection chapter.

And he's talking about our physical bodies and the new bodies that we're going to get. And so he says in verse 51, behold, I show you a mystery. We should not all sleep, sleep, meaning die during the church age, but we shall be changed.

So a metamorphosis is going to take place. These bodies are inadequate to enter into heaven. Uh, we need a new glorified body.

So in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. So twinkling of an eye, like a flash and the word moment, like an Adam, we get the word Adam at the last Trump for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible. And we shall be changed for this corruptible must put on incorruption in this mortal must put on immortality.

So this is the rapture. Now, one of the things that's taking place here is Paul is letting them know at the last Trump. Now the pre-wrath guys and the mid trip guys, they'll argue with us that, Hey, wait a minute.

You're the church is going to go through the tribulation period. You're going to, you're going to see the seven trumpet judgments. And after the last one, you know, we're going to be raptured.

So they're connecting this Trump to the Trump in trumpet in a revelation. Now, why is that not true? Because I don't know.

Okay. So, um, this last Trump, first of all, the feast of trumpets, the church in Corinth would be familiar with the feast of trumpets and there's a final blasting of the trumpet after a series of trumpets. That's longer than all the ones prior to it.

It's an elongated blast of the trumpet. It's in Hebrew. It's the tech Kia Gidea.

People would be familiar with that. And it, it signals it signals, um, uh, you know, like, uh, like, uh, entering in, so to speak, it's single is the end of it, a culmination, a climax, if you will. And, um, the other thing, so it's a technic Gidea that now the church of Corinth, this book was written in 55 AD.

The book of revelation was written in AD 95. The church of Corinth would have no understanding of the feet of the trumpet judgments in the book of revelation because it wasn't written yet. They would be familiar with the feast of trumpets that blast that was taking place called the final blast.

Right. And so that's why we, we, uh, reject these, these guys saying, Oh no, you're putting, you're, you're putting the, the, the trumpet judgments. So it's, it's very poor, uh, exposition of the texts.

It's just not in the text there. It's, it's impossible. So it's the tech Gidea.

It's the final blast that's taken place. The other reason, uh, is because from revelation chapter six to 19, you don't even see the word church. Okay.

So the outline in the book of revelation is found in verse 19, right?

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
John's instructed the right, the things which you have seen, right? The things which are, and the things which shall be here after, right? Meditata after these things.

So if we turn to the book of revelation and we look at this outline, we can see that in chapter one, uh, and the word revelation speaks of the apocalypse or the unveiling of Jesus Christ, right? And so in chapter one, John sees the risen Christ that what you have seen, he saw, he saw, uh, uh, the Lord risen. He saw him in his glory in chapter two and three, right?

The things which are, is what's called the church age. So the seven letters to the churches that Jesus speaks, uh, to the churches, right? Yeah.

And then he says in verse 19 and the things, what shall be here after, which is the Greek word Meditata after these things, after what things after the church age. So now we go to chapter four and watch what, what the Lord says to him in chapter four after this, after what, after the church age, seeing the church age, seeing the Lord in the past high, you know, uh, in his glory. After this, I looked and behold, a door was opened in heaven.

And the first voice that I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me, which said, come up here and I will show the things which must be here after that's a Greek word. Meditata after these after the church age. And immediately I was in the spirit and behold, a throne was set in heaven and once sat upon the throne.

So now if we look at chapter four and five, the churches in heaven, the four and 20 elders in chapter four in heaven, chapter five, Jesus has the scroll and who's worthy to open the scroll and loose the seals. Nobody, nobody's worth it. John was crying.

John was crying, right? Only the lion of the tribe of Judah is the only one that's worthy to release the scroll. So now we come to the, so now we come to these guys.

Look at chapter six here. You don't see the church in chapter six, chapter six is the start of the tribulation period. Okay.

Now what happens is these guys that are pre-wrath guys, um, they go down to verse 17. They say for the great day of his wrath has come and who shall be able to stand. Now what they do is they say that these seals are opening.

So you got the seals opening for these pre-wrath guys that you're going to, you're going to see wars. You're going to see the pestilence. You're going to see the famine.

You're going to see these seals being opened. Church is going to be there in the tribulation period. These things are going to happen to you.

Okay. Because they differentiate and they say, Hey, this is this Rosenthal guy from the eighties is saying, this is a wrath of man. Bill Gates is going to do this.

Rockwell's do that. All these guys are going to do this. Okay.

The problem with this is, um, the only way these seals are open is Jesus in chapter five, who's worthy to open the scroll and loose the seal. So this is the start of the tribulation period. It's not the wrath of man.

As soon as he opens that first seal, it's the start of the tribulation period. Jesus pouring out the wrath. Exactly.

[Speaker 2]
Exactly. Exactly.

[Speaker 1]
And the, and the globalists are here in chapter six, they're here in chapter six. And I beheld when I had opened the sixth seal low, there was a great earthquake and the sun became black as sackcloth and hair moon became like blood. And, uh, you know, and the stars of heaven under the earth as a fig, you know, untimely figs, which is shaken mighty.

And the heaven departed when it was rolled together and every mountain, every Island moved out of their prayers, you know, and, and you, you watch these globalists there, they're over here hiding from the wrath of the lamb. They're hiding from them. They're trying to hide from all that's taken place, um, in their bunkers, their billion dollar bunkers and all, and they're saying, and they said to the mountains rocks, fallen us and hide us verse 16 from the face of him that sits upon the throne and from the wrath of the lamb.

Yeah. Okay. Right there.

Right. And from the wrath of the lamb. Exactly.

So totally. So you can't, you can't say another argument. It's a very, very poor, poor, poor, poor, poor argument.

And, um, there are churches to describe to that. And I just encourage people to go to those churches because, um, if they, if, if they don't understand the simplicity of this, it's just so simple. Um, there isn't a whole lot you can do.

So from chapter six to 19, you have what's called the tribulation period church, not even mentioned in chapter 19, you have the second coming to Christ with his bride, uh, the church in revelation. Uh, let's see here. Revelation chapter 19 verses one through eight, I think it is.

And then, uh, uh, the second part, let's see here. Um, I got it here. I'll just go there.

So one through six. And then after that, you have the, the first part is us in heaven. One through six, I think we're there for the marriage ceremony.

Yeah. And then seven, uh, marriage of the lamb has come and his wife has made herself ready. And her was granted that she should be arraigned and finally in clean and white righteousness of saints.

And he said in the name of your right blessed are they, you know, who are called in the marriage supper. So then it's the second coming marriage supper coming back to earth. So the first part is us in heaven, the ceremony, and the second part, uh, the supper.

And then in chapter 20 is the millennium is the grabbing hold of the, the devil and the great white throne judgment of the wicked dead. And then chapter 21 and 22, the book of revelation is the eternal state, uh, the new heaven, new earth, new Jerusalem. And, um, and so we're in our new glorified bodies and ruling reigning with Jesus as Kings and priests.

Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The, uh, uh, David as Prince, the nation of Israel, uh, the times of the Gentiles has ceased the times of the Gentiles. It is describing Gentile world rule.

So the first, uh, dominant, uh, that of the Egyptians were dominant, but it really was the Babylonians. And then the Babylonians were subdued by the Medo-Persians, the Medo-Persians subdued by the, uh, the Greeks, the Greeks subdued by the Romans. So the tribulation period becomes a rebirth of the Roman empire, an imperial kind of government where the 10 toes of Daniel two, the 10 crowns and horns and Kings of Daniel seven and revelation 13 and 17 form a government where they're, it's a dominant global rule.

And they're, they're dominant over the nation of Israel. When Jesus returns, the end of the times of the Gentiles is over. Now it's the Messianic age, the kingdom age where Israel's dominant over all the nations of the earth.

So David became dominant over the Philistines. Solomon didn't continue to go. Um, and then thereafter, as they apostatize and turn away from the Lord, the Gentile nations, uh, became more dominant than them.

And so now in the old Testament, where do we see the rapture in the old Testament? Um, Genesis chapter five, verse 24, Enoch walked with God and was not. So Enoch is a, is a picture there of the, of the rapture.

Elijah in second Kings two 11, um, he was caught up with a whirlwind. So when people speculate in revelation 11, who are the two witnesses? Well, Daniel, excuse me, Hebrews nine 27 says appointed all men wants to die and then the judgment.

So two guys we see that haven't died yet. So many speculate that those would be the two witnesses. Others would say Moses and Elijah Moses represented the law and Elijah represented the prophets.

We don't know. But, um, uh, and that in the new Testament, we see Philip in acts 39 through 40, after he's dealing with and ministering to the Ethiopian eunuch, it says that he was taken up and they found him at a Zotus, right? He's raptured to a Zotus.

Now, um, in first John chapter three, verse two, we also have a picture of the rapture where John says, uh, uh, beloved, now are we, the sons of God does not yet appear what we shall be. But we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him for, we shall see him as he is. So when he appears, when he comes for us, we're going to be, according to first Corinthians 15, there's going to be a transformation and change this mortal must put on immortality.

So our bodies will change. So immediately we're going to be changed in our new life. That's amazing.

And then John says, he that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. So the hope of the rapture, the blessed hope looking for him is a purifying hope that keeps me ready.

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
It keeps me ready that the Lord could come at any moment. You know, I don't need to be in Luke 12, beating my servants and that drinking and going back into the world and act like, well, it's a, that's, you know, that's way down there now in Isaiah 26, there's another passage in the old Testament about the rapture that I love. And, uh, um, Isaiah 26, verse 19, we got the resurrection, the dead in Christ shall rise first, right?

Yes. And then we, it's your live main should be caught up. Watch first 19, the dead men shall, shall live together with my dead body.

Shall they arise awake and sing you dwell in the dust for they do is like the dew of herbs and the earth shall cast out the dead. There's the resurrection. So if we're looking at first Corinthians four, the dead in Christ rise first.

Now notice the next verse, come my people enter thou into thy chambers. Jesus said, I go to prepare a place for you, right? If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again that where I am there, you may be also enter into thy chambers and shut thy doors about the hide thyself as it were for a little moment until the indignation is passed.

Wow.

[Speaker 2]
Well, there you go.

[Speaker 1]
Until the tribulation period is passed.

[Speaker 2]
Right.

[Speaker 1]
We're there in heaven, right? A little while. That would be a little while, seven years, right?

Right. We're there in heaven. Isn't that awesome?

You know, I was thinking about the indignation can also, we can look at that as the abomination of desolation until it's passed until that whole period is passed. Yeah. Until that whole point of God dealing with the antichrist with the devil.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Be worshiped as God. Yeah. So those are, those are some great passages that prove the, uh, you know, the rapture.

Um, we, uh, talk about eminency, eminency means that it could happen at any moment. We can't date set. We don't know what's going to happen.

I'm listening to a lot of people saying, Hey, the rapture is happening Saturday and a lot of people doing that. I'm not going to do that. Yeah.

And then it comes and it doesn't happen. Um, but in Matthew 24, 36, no man knows the day there are 42 verse 44, 25, 13, uh, Titus five, one acts one seven. Um, you know, only the father knows mid pre-wrath post replacement theology.

Um, there's a character named, uh, Margaret McDonald and John Darby in 1830 that supposedly resurrected this doctrine of the rapture. And, uh, people that don't like the doctrine of the rapture presently point back to that, that you guys just with the Schofield Bible resurrected this teaching and came up with all this. And, uh, Billy Crone bless his heart.

He went to Scotland to research this further and all. And, um, they actually believe in a post-trib rapture, not a pre-trib. So if the guys are, that are refuting the preacher rapture, they were wanting to use that.

They need to find out that, know that that's, you know, the Darby and then we're actually, yeah. Okay. Here's another proof text.

I don't, I don't need anybody's opinion about 1830 with Darby and all them.

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
Jesus taught the rapture. I have the apostle Paul teaching the rapture. I have it predating 1830.

And then there's other, some real good scholars that are looking back at the early church fathers that are, you're able to quote who are also in the first and second century looking for the rapture. What happened was with the dark ages and three 13 and the Catholics gaining more and more dominance over information. Um, you have, like I said, Jerome of the Latin Vulgate and all, you have, uh, the wall dens is, you know, who are under fire.

The early church was, had to go into homes and stuff. So there's what you call the dark ages where information was suppressed. They didn't allow the people to have Bibles.

Now with the reformation and with Bibles getting in the hands of common people and you're starting to have scholars develop with the strong's concordance and treasure your scripture knowledge and great men and women of the faith, um, studying the Bible after Erasmus and translate and all these different languages. Now you begin to rediscover many of these doctrines. Like for instance, Martin Luther, what did he discover?

He discovered that salvation is by grace through faith alone. That's a doctrine that was suppressed by the Catholics, right? So he is a priest, a Catholic priest and a lawyer.

He rediscovers Romans one 16 and 17, right? The judge shall live by faith. So there's other doctrines that are rediscovered as the, as the church studies and get to go.

Why are these doctrines waning? Why are they suffering? Because the church is apostatizing.

The pastors aren't teaching their people the word of God so that they can be excited about the word of God and the soon return of Jesus Christ. Like the dark ages. Like the dark ages.

Wow. You see what I'm saying? Yeah.

That's a good podcast right there. Yeah. Are we in the dark ages for the word of God?

Well, if only 2% of churches teach, um, prophecy fully 6% believe in the rapture. If I were to look at Europe, um, and it's a post Christian era, the churches are empty. That used to be there a blaze like Charles Spurgeon and the Wesley brothers and all these, you know, Joseph Parker and these great men and women of God, G Campbell Morgan, great work of God, but then it died out.

Right. And so here in America, the fervor of the church in America is dying out. There's pockets still, the church is still great, wonderful pockets of believers here.

But from a standpoint of, um, uh, numbers of people and churches teaching doctrine, teaching Orthodox doctrine, um, teaching the Bible, there's a famine in the land for the teaching of the Bible, teaching of the word of God. Uh, very difficult. You said you traveled around for over five years trying to find a church that teaches the Bible, uh, Jammer Cal and her show, Brendan whole thoughts and others.

They're putting together a list of churches that teach the Bible because they're people who they describe as the remnant church are traveling around rejecting the present apostate churches and saying, I want to find a church like I'm listening to on these programs. Where is there a pastor that teaches the Bible like that? And so, um, so there is a, an apostasy that's in place, a great falling away.

Um, and Paul alludes to that in first Thessalonians or second Thessalonians chapter two. Um, he says, now we seek you brethren second Thessalonians two by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together into him, the rapture that you be not soon shaken in mind nor be troubled neither of spirit nor by word nor by letter as from us as the day of the Lord is present. So day of the Lord is a phrase for the tribulation period.

So don't let anybody think you that gets you to think that you're in the tribulation period. A lot of people presently are saying you're in the tribulation. I think we're in the tribulation period.

No, you're not. How do I know they haven't signed the peace treaty? The man of sin.

And this next, as we flow through here, he can't even be revealed until the church has taken out. We're restraining that guy from coming. Okay.

Now he may be alive. Some people say, and then they'll try and determine who is he, you know? And, uh, Oh, I think it's this guy thing is that notice what he says here.

Um, that you'd be soon shaken in mind or troubled neither of spirit nor by word, nor by letter from us as that day of the Lord is present. Let no man deceive you. What's the name of your program?

Be not deceived, not deceived. Let no man deceive you by any means for that day. What day?

The tribulation period shall not come except there come the falling away first. So that falling away is a departure from the truth. It's a rebellion against the truth.

It's the Greek word apostasy. It's never used in the positive, always in the negative. So this falling away, these churches that don't teach the word of God is setting the stage for evil to encroach upon that, which is good because as a man think of it in his heart, so is he.

If people don't know the word of God, if they don't know the truth, they're easily manipulated and enslaved, right? You'll know the truth. Jesus said, and the truth will set you free.

If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples? Indeed, you'll know the truth. The truth will set you free and that man of sin be revealed.

Uh, the son of perdition who opposed and exalts himself. So speaking of the antichrist, all that is called God or that is worshiped so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. So this apostasy, this worldwide rebellion against God sets the stage for the antichrist to be revealed.

And he comes as what he comes as a savior, right? Not as a hero, not as the red devil pitch for it.

[Speaker 2]
People are going to like it, right?

[Speaker 1]
So he opposed himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. So this is revelation one and two. This is what Daniel spoke of the abomination of desolation at the midpoint of the tribulation period.

He goes in, declares himself to be God, demands to be worshiped as God. Remember you not that when I was with you, I told you these things. So this is a church of three weeks old.

Paul's writing a second letter to them. So when these pastors say, we can't teach prophecy because you know, they're just babes here. These are baby Christians.

You know what? They will understand. Just teach it for the mystery of iniquity does already work.

Only he who now, so a person, he who now hinders will continue to hinder until he'd be taken out of the way. So he that hinders is the work of the Holy Spirit in the church is hindering restraining the evil. Now during the tribulation period, another mistake people make is the Holy Spirit is not taken out of the world.

The Holy Spirit is still in the tribulation period, but it's a period of time where the church isn't there. The Holy Spirit is not working through the church to restrain evil like in the church age, but he's, he's marking out the Holy Spirit's marking out the 12,000 of each tribe. The antichrist can't touch the 144,000.

So the Holy Spirit is still protecting, still moving and working. And, and the greatest revival in the Bible is found in revelation six and seven during the tribulation period where people refuse according to revelation 20 verse four, they refuse the mark of the beast and they're beheaded for it. So a great revival are narrowed down to two things, right?

The mark real simple, or right. So when that wicked one shall be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume notice with the spirit of his mouth and with destroy with the brightness of his coming. So now we go from the middle of the tribulation.

Now to the end of it, where when Jesus comes back, he destroys the antichrist and the false prophet, right? In his second coming, even him who is coming after the working of Satan. So now we, now we see that Satan is a counterfeit Trinity.

Satan sees himself as God, the antichrist as, as a, uh, a counterfeit Jesus Christ in place of Jesus Christ. And then the false prophet is a counterfeit, you know, Holy Spirit. So even him who's coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.

And with all the, so he's going to use power and signs of lying wonders like the NER apostolic reformation. These people are setting people up to be deceived and they're motivated a lot by, by those miracles, those signs, those, those very, um, uh, fanciful type things that they're trying to do. And with all deceivableness.

So the name of the show, be not deceived of right on righteousness in them that perish because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. So God gives people a choice if they don't love the truth and they give them themselves over to apostasy or rebellion, rejection against truth. And he even says like in Romans one, when Paul's presenting his gospel, you know, even from the very creation, they're without excuse.

If they reject the illumination, if they reject the information of creation and they worship and serve the creature rather than the creator, then he's going to give them over to their base desire. So here he says, because you reject the truth, I'm going to give you over to a strong delusion for this cause. God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe the lie.

What is the lie?

[Speaker 2]
You can be as God.

[Speaker 1]
And that's the lie that the devil presented to Adam and Eve in the garden, right? Same lie. You can be.

Now, what did, you know, you've all know Harari say we're going to be as gods. Yep. And we're going to live forever.

Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law had said my generation might not ever die. They think technology is going to allow them to merge with human beings, make them transhuman and that somehow they're never going to die. Yeah.

You know, what a big lie that people are doing a lot of work. Oh yeah. I mean that they should all might be judged to believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So we started this program yesterday, establishing the ground bed of truth. It's all based upon truth. Be not deceived.

And so at the end of the age, what leads people to hell, what leads people to believing, you know, the antichrist, Jesus said, I come, my father's name, you received me. Not another shall come in his own name. Him you will receive.

The world will receive him because they've rejected the truth.

[Speaker 2]
Exactly.

[Speaker 1]
And they're open up, they're open up to being deceived. They're vulnerable to be deceived by a false Christ. And as you take our verse here, Matthew 24, verse three, take ye that no man deceive you.

And you move through chapter 24, he's going to keep showing that emphasis of false Christ, false prophets. Exactly. All of the deception is coming.

That's one thing I love about studying the old Testament too. And in Jeremiah and Isaiah, um, that you're showing us just that amazing example of all these false prophets and how it's not a new thing. It's not, it's something that's been going on for a long time that people rise themselves up and try to say they're speaking in God's name.

[Speaker 2]
Right.

[Speaker 1]
And God says very clearly, um, they are not speaking in my name. Not at all. And they're liars.

Amen. And that's where we are. That's why we're here today to point out the lies, bring forth the truth.

And especially for the rapture, um, and our blessed hope. And the glorious gospel sets men free.

[Speaker 2]
Amen.

[Speaker 1]
From the darkness, the darkness that the devil holds them in, holding them captive turns them from darkness to light when the light bulb finally goes on. Um, in Philippians 3 20, I want to read this verse as we wrap it up. It says, uh, our citizenship is in heaven from which also we look for the savior.

So my citizenship is in heaven. I'm looking for a theocracy, a monarchy, right? I'm not looking at Trump or anything on this, on this earth.

I'm not in love with this world, right? Friendship of the world is enmity with God. I love America.

I love our way of life. I love being a Christian. I love the churches and all these things.

But, um, in comparison, it pales in comparison. My citizenship is in heaven. Abraham and Sarah were looking for a city whose builder and maker is God, right?

That's beautiful.

[Speaker 2]
We're strangers.

[Speaker 1]
We're pilgrims. This world is not our home. These people, this world system is just antithetical to who God has made us.

It's the opposite. So our citizenship is in heaven from which also we look for the savior. So Jesus is in heaven.

I go to prepare a place for you, right? And if I go to prepare a place for you, I'm going to come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there, you may also now watch this, whom we look for the savior. Now Titus two 13, looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior.

So he says, which also we look for the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change that ties in with first Corinthians 15. We just read this. Corruption must put on incorruption.

This mortal must put on immortality, right? We're going to get that new glorified body who shall change our lowly body that it may be fashioned like his glorious body according to the working of which he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. He's in control.

He's got it. He's on the throne. Everything's happening according to plan, right?

So how would you not have the hope of the rapture with all of that going for you? Why would you steal, steal that hope from people and the glory that's due God's name? It's just not his bride.

[Speaker 2]
We're the bride of Christ.

[Speaker 1]
Amen. Hallelujah. That was beautiful.

I love it. Well, thank you so much, pastor. That was a great, um, laying out of those scriptures for us.

And it was, um, something that whoever is listening right now would be able to rewind and write all those scriptures down, um, and do this very exhaustive study. And that definitely proves that Jesus is coming and he's coming in the clouds to take us up in the air, um, which is the rapture of the church and, um, that he is in control and we are going to, uh, and he doesn't need us to clean up this world and, and do, do our part. Our part is to share the good news of the gospel and have people surrender their lives unto Christ who died on the cross for their sins.

And if you haven't done that today is the day of salvation.

[Speaker 2]
Amen.

[Speaker 1]
Today is the day to surrender your heart unto the Lord. Amen. And, and, and let go, let God make you new, make you alive.

Your spirit needs to be born again. It needs to be turned on. It needs to be, um, from death to life.

It needs to be put into life. Amen. And, uh, the scriptures are so clear that that's the purpose of Jesus coming and redeeming us.

And that's, uh, and then we can look for that, uh, blessed hope of blessed return of, of, of occupied. Tell I come, Jesus said about our father's business. Keep looking up, keep looking, keep watching.

He's coming. How soon do you think it is? When, when do you think he's going to come for us?

[Speaker 2]
Anytime?

[Speaker 1]
Anytime? I don't know that we don't know the day or the hour. You'd be famous if you knew it, right?

No, I'd be wrong. No, maybe not. How close are we?

We're very close. Very close. When you see these things begin to come to pass, which is the tribulation period, right?

[Speaker 2]
Yeah.

[Speaker 1]
Everything's for me. The beast system is forming those three things. He says, then look up your redemptions drawing nine.

Amen.

[Speaker 2]
Amen.

[Speaker 1]
Well, thank you so much, pastor. Um, we love you for knowing your, your word and sharing it with us. Oh, I'm excited.

Very good to be here. Very excited. God bless you.

God bless you.
