I want to discuss something related to what I've discussed in previous episodes. It's about giving things time to prove themselves, especially regarding search engine optimization on my website. It can be a bit annoying and time-consuming, but it's necessary.
This week, I've been focusing on the content of my website. I've discovered that I have many orphaned posts, which means they exist on their own without any links to or from other posts on my site. Orphaned content can be detrimental because it doesn't provide a pathway for search engines to follow and explore related content. By interlinking posts and creating a web of related content, I can keep visitors engaged and provide them with more helpful information. Still, it also signals to search engines that my site is an authority on the subject. This can potentially lead to higher rankings and increased visibility.
Fixing the issue of orphaned content is a challenging task. I've already made progress by reducing the number of orphaned posts, but there's still more work to be done. It involves returning to my post database and strategically linking relevant content meaningfully. It's like creating a network of interconnected chapters in a book. It takes time and careful editing to ensure the links make sense to users and search engines.
