[01:00:00] Craig Carton: Welcome to another episode of The Joint Venture. I'm Little Wayne Craig Carton. Ladies and gentlemen, Ms. Tyra Banks is here!
[01:00:07] Lil Wayne: I am amazed just to be sitting next to Ms. Tyra. Thanks a dozen, I'm gonna rush more up. Supermodels, this is an OG. It'll be four different headshots of Tyra
[01:00:17] Tyra Banks: I have been modeling since I was 15 years old and I have never heard that.
[01:00:23] Craig Carton: Good afternoon Wayne, how you doing buddy? I am great, how about you? You look fantastic by the way. That's you man, that's all you. I keep trying to copy your style but my wife says it don't work.
[01:00:31] Lil Wayne: It always works.
[01:00:33] Craig Carton: Trust me, it doesn't work. Meanwhile, congratulations, a song you did years ago with Ariana Grande has actually just gone double platinum, meaning a whole new generation of kids are catching up to your music.
[01:00:46] Lil Wayne: That is amazing, man, congrats to her as well.
[01:00:48] Craig Carton: Yeah, congrats to you. Yeah, you can accept congratulations, it's okay. It's all good, it got me thinking not just about collabs, but about people that kind of cross over from what their main expertise is, she's a singer obviously, into the rap world. So as you know, we like to start off by challenging you to a top five blind rank. The topic today is athletes who tried to rap.
[01:01:15] Lil Wayne: Alright.
[01:01:15] Craig Carton: So you have no idea the five guys or gals, I'm going to give you a name, you have to rank them one to five and once they're in a position they're it, okay? Alright, let's start off with one of the great big men in basketball history, Shaquille O'Neal had a song that went platinum called What's Up Doc. One to five, where do you want to put Shaq?
[01:01:34] Lil Wayne: Shaq Twism, the world is mine. Because I'm afraid of who you'll have after, I don't know who this guy is about to say after this. So to be safe, I'm gonna put Shaq at number two. Number two. Because Shaq is probably the only artist that went platinum. Probably so.
[01:01:52] Craig Carton: On this list, I think that's probably fair. Alright, number two is Shaq. Alright, the next rapper or basketball player turned rapper is Dollar Dame. Dame Lillard who had a song called Moneyball. And he's actually a pretty good rapper. Where do you want to put him? Two is gone, one, three, four, or five.
[01:02:10] Lil Wayne: We're going three.
[01:02:11] Craig Carton: Number three for Dame Lillard. Well, you are protecting number one, aren't you? Yes, I am. That's because last time we did The Weather Girls, and you don't want to get caught with The Weather Girl as a song that you have to rap to. You chose My Way by Sinatra instead.
[01:02:25] Lil Wayne: All right, then no one do is rain him in yeah, you did not know
[01:02:29] Craig Carton: My favorite song.
[01:02:30] Lil Wayne: That's another story. You say that so much. I know you, you know, I pay attention. I'm very observant. I've heard you say that so many times. Yeah. That's what I have.
[01:02:36] Craig Carton: I did a TV show with Craig Robinson the comedian. Yeah, and we did a thing called instead of it's raining men It's raining Craigs. Okay, and it didn't work It absolutely failed miserably All right next guy for you Alonzo ball. All right, Alonso ball did a song called mellow ball one I got some traction didn't go platinum, but where do you want to put that one four or five?
[01:03:02] Lil Wayne: Wait, wait, wait... Lanzobar like his...
[01:03:05] Craig Carton: Well, the Angelo Ball did a song that did kinda go viral.
[01:03:09] Lil Wayne: Yeah, I'm on it. Yeah, you're on that song. Yeah. They pay well
[01:03:12] Craig Carton: Really? Yeah. Did they really give you a free pair of kicks or just cash?
[01:03:16] Lil Wayne: I don't want that. I don't want kicks.
[01:03:20] Craig Carton: You want me to change it to the Angelo board?
[01:03:21] Lil Wayne: No, no, no
[01:03:22] Craig Carton: All right, Alonzo ball, Millal ball one, that ain't gonna be number one.
[01:03:24] Lil Wayne: Never heard the song so I don't know if I could I've never heard lines of rap. So just say five No, I don't want to put them because I've ever heard that's fair. I'll cross that one
[01:03:35] Craig Carton: Lou will did a song you actually did a son with him. No, you collapse. He's a song called 24 What do you think one four or five for him? He easily get number four number four for Lou will all right? That means we have number one left
[01:03:48] Lil Wayne: And we've number five left. Yes, we do.
[01:03:50] Craig Carton: You did a collab with an athlete that you have acknowledged publicly, so I'm not talking out of turn here, that you've never released. And you have said publicly, he's actually pretty good.
[01:04:01] Lil Wayne: I already know what you're talking about, yeah. Kevin Durant. KD. Is he really that good? I was saving number one for KD, KD getting number one. Number one. That's why I was saying that. I didn't know if you was going to come at me with that one. So are you going to?
[01:04:15] Craig Carton: Are you going to release that song at any point you think or is that like a private thing?
[01:04:18] Lil Wayne: Man, KD, KB, his charge price is so high. I am definitely going to put that out.
[01:04:26] Craig Carton: That's awesome. All right, and that leaves, well it leaves number five, so it doesn't matter who I mention, KD is number one. Good job on that.
[01:04:33] Lil Wayne: So who was number five? Number five, well, it was gonna be Alonzo Ball, but I'm gonna- I gotta check Alonso, I've never heard him.
[01:04:40] Craig Carton: Got it, well let me just go to the Angelo ball.
[01:04:42] Lil Wayne: Leandro again number five number five. Yeah, there you go. He paid for the number one spot
[01:04:47] Craig Carton: Yes, by the way, you can pay for the number one spot, that's a lesson to be learned.
[01:04:50] Lil Wayne: Shout out to you.
[01:04:51] Craig Carton: There you go. All right, so there you go, there's your top five blind rank. Uh, listen, we've been blessed having a lot of amazing guests on the show already, but no doubt the most beautiful guests that we've ever had or ever will have is standing by right now. Ladies and gentlemen, one of the Mount Rushmore supermodels of all time. Miss Tyra Banks is here. Oh, come on in. There we go. Great to see you. Thank you so much for coming in. All right.
[01:05:19] Lil Wayne: Get comfortable have a seat. I am amazed just to be sitting next to miss Tyra bangs If there was a moment rush more of super models, this is an og. It'll be four different headshots of Tyra How about that Tyra? That's pretty good That's pretty good.
[01:05:32] Tyra Banks: You know what? I have been modeling since I was 15 years old and I have never heard that. But that's because you're a linguist, you know what I mean? Like that's very flattering, thank you.
[01:05:42] Craig Carton: Way too much of you know this, Tyra is a bit of a rapper herself, talking about earlier the athletes who became rappers. Tyra went from movie star, TV star, model of course, and she rapped with some of you very close with the late Kobe Bryant. What? I did. When did you do that?
[01:05:57] Tyra Banks: I did a song with kobe bryant i was in my twenties we were at the kids' choice awards and he had one for like athlete of the year i don't want from model of the air so he said behind me and he's like so time when you do this summer i'm like i'm i'm just telling you know whatever but we're doing he's a i'm pump an album i'm going on it
[01:06:20] Lil Wayne: Yeah. Wow. Wow. And he made sure he was on it.
[01:06:23] Tyra Banks: And a couple of days later, I was in the studio with him on like Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles going, K-O-B-E-I-L-O V-E U and I think you are very fine if you say that. Do you remember it? I remember it.
[01:06:39] Lil Wayne: Man, do you remember every, that has to be beautiful.
[01:06:42] Tyra Banks: I remember so much. I remember him telling me how he wanted me to sound, he wanted to kind of do my voice like that.
[01:06:47] Craig Carton: Really?
[01:06:48] Tyra Banks: I remember we did the music video.
[01:06:51] Craig Carton: I've seen the video.
[01:06:52] Tyra Banks: Oh, there's a video. It was kind of, it was there and then it kind of wasn't. We did a video, but guess who he met? It's awesome. Guess who he meet on the video? His wife.
[01:07:02] Lil Wayne: Wait, what?
[01:07:05] Tyra Banks: She was one of the models.
[01:07:07] Lil Wayne: That is perfect.
[01:07:08] Tyra Banks: On the video.
[01:07:10] Lil Wayne: That's awesome.
[01:07:10] Tyra Banks: And I remember seeing this beautiful girl and kind of him like kind of going
[01:07:19] Lil Wayne: That's awesome.
[01:07:20] Craig Carton: Did they write your part for you? Did you write it? How did the whole thing come about?
[01:07:23] Tyra Banks: I think it was already happening and maybe there was somebody else that was gonna do it. I'm not sure You know, I don't know we need to figure that out
[01:07:29] Craig Carton: Well, I think when you said to Kobe, I'll be in it, he ain't gonna say no.
[01:07:33] Lil Wayne: But, you know, Kobe was hands on. He probably had something to do with diversity. He probably helped write the verse and not write it. Right.
[01:07:40] Craig Carton: Well, she's saying that he was very particular about what he wanted, so even in a game he wasn't familiar with, the rap game, he was still Kobe Bryant.
[01:07:48] Lil Wayne: He was familiar with it. He did, he rapped a lot. He was super. He did?
[01:07:52] Tyra Banks: And he was in there with like, you know, like coaching me and kind of like how he wanted me to do it. Wow, he really, he wrapped. And then we performed live at the All-Star Game in San Francisco. There was like a team up kids in a whole big arena thing and we performed it live together.
[01:08:09] Craig Carton: That must've been scary.
[01:08:10] Tyra Banks: It was.
[01:08:11] Craig Carton: Terrified!
[01:08:13] Tyra Banks: And I'm not scared of being on camera and stuff, but to sing live and all over the state. I had a little taste of your life. Did you do in-ears? I did.
[01:08:25] Lil Wayne: I was about to say, in those places, you have to do that.
[01:08:26] Tyra Banks: Yes, so you can hear yourself, so that was weird to me, and at the end of the whole performance somebody is pointing to me like this, and I'm like, yeah, yeah yeah, and they're like, yeah, they're yeah, like. My zipper had busted open. Come on. Yes. For real? Yes.
[01:08:48] Lil Wayne: Such things, like you just said earlier, things we don't have to worry about.
[01:08:52] Tyra Banks: You don't have to worry about that, and here I am having to worry about that. But no, I really thought, Kobe was such a special, beautiful, kind, gentle man. Yeah.
[01:09:05] Craig Carton: I imagine it was hard to do business and find guys like Kobe. A, great at what he did, but also someone that treated you right and respected your time. And look, you're not a rapper. And probably made it very easy for you.
[01:09:17] Tyra Banks: Totally easy and never tried to step. He never tried step to me. He wasn't like, hey baby, what's up? Zero. It was like a respect of like, almost like an auntie.
[01:09:27] Craig Carton: So you're almost like a brother-sister type of thing.
[01:09:30] Lil Wayne: What's crazy is, what's crazy, is he's so handsome and yet he attacked everything with the same, you know what I mean, level of execution that he was able to not only make her feel comfortable, but make her comfortable in a world that he is not in. Right. You're right about that. He wasn't teaching her how to play basketball, he was teaching her something that he wasn't an expert on. She was with an artist that day, plain and simple.
[01:09:53] Tyra Banks: That is true.
[01:09:53] Lil Wayne: How do you do that when you're an NBA player, you know what I mean? Right. That is crazy. That's what I got out of the story. I'm sitting there like she sounds like she talking about Jay Z or something like that.
[01:10:04] Craig Carton: He might have stepped you, though. Pre-Beyoncé, to be fair.
[01:10:08] Lil Wayne: You know anything about this guy? I know Craig is crazy I was about to say please don't feed into it I have my moments yes I have my moments, yes.
[01:10:14] Craig Carton: We're mutual friends, which is how this whole thing came about. I'm so glad you know. So I think they prepped you for this, right? So glad. A little crazy. So glad I just find that fascinating that, look, it's what makes you special. Like you're special, A, the work ethic, B, the time you put into it. Like we said last week, there's no such thing as an overnight success. People just don't see the work. And same for you, whether it's modeling or you're producing or TV, people just think you show up, oh, I'm a pretty girl, but there's work that goes into it
[01:10:41] Tyra Banks: They have no idea, like even with my modeling, I studied fashion, I studied every designer, every magazine, hair, makeup, stylist, understood how to walk for Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent or Dior or Prada, like I studied exactly how to do, like it was deep deep deep study.
[01:10:58] Craig Carton: So let me ask you a silly question, but based on that, are there different walks for different designers? I get the clothing is different, but there is.
[01:11:06] Tyra Banks: Oh, there's different walks.
[01:11:07] Craig Carton: Really?
[01:11:07] Tyra Banks: Especially in the 90s. Is that right? Oh yeah, the Chanel walk was happy and like you twirled your pearls and you were just like, ah. And then Dior was like, I'm a queen. Sophisticated. Yeah, sophisticated. Yves Saint Laurent was a little, it was almost like an empress. Like if there's even something more than a queen, I don't know. Everybody was different.
[01:11:29] Craig Carton: So you almost have to learn how to become an actress to walk based on the designer.
[01:11:32] Tyra Banks: That was my style. So my style was all about being a chameleon. It was all about like studying this designer, studying these clothes, and like becoming that for that designer. And I think I broke history when I first went to Paris, the first model to ever book 25 fashion shows her first season.
[01:11:47] Craig Carton: I mean, that was after being turned down. Turned down over and over again. You were a no name model at the time. Most definitely. You had been turned down by everybody. I was not.
[01:11:55] Tyra Banks: I was not a supermodel coming into Paris, I was a no-name-nobody.
[01:11:58] Lil Wayne: That's a part of the model world. That's part of a model game. That nobody sees. Get used to being turned in. You gotta keep going.
[01:12:04] Tyra Banks: More no than yes.
[01:12:05] Craig Carton: Which to me is interesting because, again, I'm guessing this, that being a model, it's a very insecure profession. Because everyone's picking on how you look, how you dress, or how much you weigh, or what your hair looks like, and yet you heard no and no and know and know, and then you show up in Paris as a teenager, who's the first company to say, yeah, okay.
[01:12:26] Tyra Banks: I can't remember the exact first, but one of the first was a magazine cover. It was like their version of Seventeen magazine. It was called Venton. Can we say Venton? Venton! It just means 20 years. Like 20 year old. Is that French? Yeah. Venton is 20 and S is years.
[01:12:40] Lil Wayne: Okay, man He said he's a linguist.
[01:12:45] Tyra Banks: He's a linguist!
[01:12:47] Craig Carton: By the way, he speaks several languages.
[01:12:48] Tyra Banks: Oh, New Orleans. Yeah.
[01:12:50] Craig Carton: The New Orleans is like Creole, it's French. Wait, you speak seven languages. Seven.
[01:12:54] Tyra Banks: Habla Espanol!
[01:12:55] Lil Wayne: I do not speak Spanish, I told you don't feed in Japan or France.
[01:13:02] Craig Carton: He doesn't like to brag about it, but seven languages.
[01:13:05] Tyra Banks: Wow
[01:13:05] Craig Carton: French is his second language.
[01:13:07] Tyra Banks: But your voice, so when did you know that your voice had something special in it?
[01:13:14] Lil Wayne: When I started talking like a baby.
[01:13:18] Tyra Banks: You used to talk like a baby. You know, like-
[01:13:19] Lil Wayne: You know, like, yeah, like every... Every You know, like every kid, every kid win it when you lose it.
[01:13:25] Tyra Banks: So like, what is that?
[01:13:26] Lil Wayne: I lost it before all of my friends.
[01:13:28] Tyra Banks: Oh, you lost baby before. It was, the gift was in there.
[01:13:33] Lil Wayne: Yeah, and that's because, you know, someone, I think it was my aunt Zelda, she called the house or something, she lived out of town, she didn't live in New Orleans, so her calls, you couldn't miss her calls. So I answered the phone and she was like, you know, she was, like, who is this? You know, like this is the way. And she was like, oh no, my baby gone.
[01:13:55] Tyra Banks: He gone.
[01:13:55] Lil Wayne: Yeah, she was like, oh my God, your innocence is gone. I was like what is it? What do you mean? She was like no, and she explained to me when she saw me later on. She was, like, no, your voice. She was you grew up, you grown up. She was are you, you ain't taking nothing, huh?
[01:14:11] Craig Carton: So when you...
[01:14:13] Lil Wayne: That's when you found your...
[01:14:14] Tyra Banks: But it was before puberty.
[01:14:15] Lil Wayne: It was before that. Really? Like way before. That's why she said she was confused. She asked me first, am I taking something? Because she thought it was creatine. Okay. Yeah. She thought I was taking like trying to get big or something for football. That changes. She said that changes your voice. So I was obviously, I don't even know what you were talking about. Yeah. Like what? Creatine. And that's when she was like, okay, from now on I need you to know that you have a very unique voice. It's up to you to learn how to use it.
[01:14:41] Craig Carton: You already-
[01:14:42] Lil Wayne: writing rhymes and poems and performing.
[01:14:46] Tyra Banks: Wow, so you're like a savant.
[01:14:49] Craig Carton: Yeah, he's a Mount Rushmore himself. No joke, like we're sitting, you know, we're friends, but that's rap royalty right there.
[01:14:57] Tyra Banks: Has soothed me over the years. Like your song, How to Love, there's something in that song and in your voice and how you use your voice, that it's like a warm bath. It's like I'm in a massage. And when I'm stressed, and I've been very stressed lately, I put it on and it just takes me there. I feel like I am in the Caribbean. Like in warm water and there's no one there and it's just like, it's a bath of soothing.
[01:15:30] Lil Wayne: Ms. Anita Baker told me, yeah, she explained it simply. Yeah, she did. Yeah, She explained it the same way. Wow.
[01:15:35] Tyra Banks: Wow! No way!
[01:15:36] Lil Wayne: Yes, she was like, you do know, you know, your voice or you know you got that and I was like say you got a you know So my grandmother would call that a battery, but she would point it out in women When we're watching television, she does like an old actress. Her name was like I think she played the character Maude. Yeah. Oh, yeah She had a divorce for a woman
[01:16:04] Tyra Banks: She was, yeah, she was kind of like the main lead. She had a very deep voice. Yes, yes.
[01:16:08] Lil Wayne: My grandma would point it out and I was like grandma I don't sound like that You know, and she was like but you have to learn how to and so that was a my group member who I was in The group with when I was a kid, right and I wasn't a group called the Bee Gees He became my mama took me out because I was too young. So he became just BG But his voice was like mine and he was like the hottest artist in the city And so I learned that okay, I do I embrace my voice and I went from there
[01:16:38] Craig Carton: Did it take you a while to get comfortable embracing your voice or was that natural for you?
[01:16:42] Lil Wayne: It was pretty much natural because you have to use it a lot. They want me to rap at school and I was just rapping so much I'm finding different things about myself and about my voice. There was a man named Tim too from Masked Singer.
[01:16:56] Craig Carton: Okay.
[01:16:57] Lil Wayne: Yeah, that helped me out a lot with my voice.
[01:16:59] Craig Carton: Really? Yeah. Ty, you mentioned How to Love. That song resonates with you. Is it the lyrics of it? Is it just the overall vibe of the song?
[01:17:06] Tyra Banks: It's the overall vibe, and then there's certain lyrics that you're now looking over your shoulder. Because I know it's about love, but I also find that it's just about trust in general, and no matter where I am in my life, I hear it in different ways.
[01:17:22] Craig Carton: Right. Relationship wise, job wise.
[01:17:26] Lil Wayne: Different types of love.
[01:17:27] Craig Carton: Yeah, I'm gonna read some lyrics for a second. You were here. Why are you over there? It's hard not to stare the way you moving your body like you never had a love never had to love That's more relationship stuff. I'm assuming that that's a resonator with you Yeah, but even to this day all these years later that song just makes you feel good
[01:17:44] Tyra Banks: Exactly, it makes me feel good or like when you're going through something difficult and when you talk about standing in the corner and stuff I think like so I think about isolation and feeling alone and you're Going through something
[01:17:57] Lil Wayne: When I meet fans that that's their favorite song they always have a different reason right every you know Like oh my god How to love is my favorite song and then they'll tell me why I was going through something I was I used to be I used be overweight and I need and that song got me through I was gone through something in school I was trying to pass the bar and I was about to give up. I mean I love came out
[01:18:21] Craig Carton: So just as an artist, I wonder for you, you've had people come up to you and say, you wrote that song for me. Obviously you didn't. I've heard it. But that's how people process your lyrics that it means so much to them, gets them through a hard spot, makes them feel good. As much as money is great and awards are great, that's gotta be an amazing payoff.
[01:18:39] Lil Wayne: First of all, an amazing pair of his opportunity to get to do it, right? I mean, it's literally a dream come true every single day and you turn your dream to your quote-unquote job If that makes sense, but that's the overall pair and then to be recognized That's the gravy and icing on the cake everything else
[01:18:56] Tyra Banks: So I'm gonna say something. Everybody, where's my camera? Everybody, whether it's your Spotify, your Apple, your Pandora, your whatever, get that song. Like download it, do whatever, and play that song when you're going through something. And whether it is the lyric, or the melody, or his savant voice, it's gonna get you through.
[01:19:19] Craig Carton: I appreciate that. You worked with another savant. You're in the black and white video with Michael Jackson. Oh, yes, that is another savet.
[01:19:23] Tyra Banks: Yes, that is a savant. That is a savant.
[01:19:27] Lil Wayne: Wait, wait, you say black and white, you talking about the song? The song Black and White. I don't remember that. Yes, she's in the video. Which one? The Black and white video. I'm in the movie.
[01:19:35] Tyra Banks: Do you remember the morphing when all the faces were changing and it was like the first time it was like super crazy technology because they had never had that. Because they had never had that.
[01:19:42] Lil Wayne: Yeah, because it was like turning everybody like. I was one of the people. What? How'd that come about?
[01:19:47] Tyra Banks: I was modeling, like, in LA. Yeah, and I went on an audition.
[01:19:52] Lil Wayne: See, I was very young when that song came out, and so, excuse my age, I think I was more into the weird El Yankovic.
[01:20:01] Craig Carton: He did versions of Michael Jackson.
[01:20:03] Lil Wayne: It was actually like, instead of I'm bad, it was I'm fat. All purple, all green, all yellow, all red, all ant, with polka dots on your head.
[01:20:12] Tyra Banks: I didn't know he did another version of that one. I know he didn't eat it and all that, but I didn't know that he did.
[01:20:18] Lil Wayne: I think it may actually be a real rock band song and not weirdo Yankovitch.
[01:20:24] Craig Carton: I'm sure a lot of people covered it, but you just turned Michael Jackson's black and white into a weird-out-yout big moment that you know the lyrics of. I love weird-outs. Well, he was actually very talented, dude. Yeah, he still is.
[01:20:34] Lil Wayne: He's still touring. I was thinking about going to check him out.
[01:20:38] Tyra Banks: He should do a, he should do it how to love, like what would that be?
[01:20:40] Lil Wayne: Oh, it would be hard to blank on this.
[01:20:43] Tyra Banks: What the vibe would be.
[01:20:45] Craig Carton: We might not want that. Yeah, we might not wanna think for him. So you audition for that video?
[01:20:48] Tyra Banks: Are you tired?
[01:20:49] Craig Carton: Are you Tyra Banks at that point yet?
[01:20:50] Tyra Banks: Hell no! You were not. I mean, that was my name. No, I'm sorry, but you weren't. You weren't on the cover of S.I. I was on the covers of nothing. I was a local model that was in the Sunday newspaper, you know, like up with the sale for the little shorts for May Company. Did you meet them? I taught everybody at school I did.
[01:21:09] Lil Wayne: That's like people in the Nick gang. That's exactly right. People who ain't go to that gang. Yes. Ten years from now, they're like, yeah, I was there.
[01:21:16] Craig Carton: Yeah, he's had a special playoff win at the Garden and there's only 18,000 people there but what Wayne's telling you is that 10 years from now, very important, 40 million people are going to claim they were at that game. I was there. Wayne, I feel like you have something to say about that.
[01:21:30] Lil Wayne: Good Congratulations, thank you. Thank you. I'm a New Yorker. He's a lake
[01:21:38] Tyra Banks: Okay, me too. Yeah, but you are co-op'd in Laker. You are from New Orleans. You need to love the New Orleans Beignets or whatever.
[01:21:48] Lil Wayne: I was actually, I was, you know, I remember when the team first got to me when they were the Hornets and I was that's why how me and Chris Paul got so tight that's what I did. Yeah. One CP left. Peace out. Yeah. But I've been a Kobe fan since day one though so. Yeah. How could you not be a Kobe? Exactly.
[01:22:04] Tyra Banks: I'm born and raised L.A., so my dad. Inglewood, right? Yeah, Ingle wood. So that was like right where the forum was, you know, we could damn near walk to the forums and see the games and it was Magic Johnson and James Worthy and Michael Cooper.
[01:22:17] Lil Wayne: That's the truth.
[01:22:18] Craig Carton: A lot of women we've met over the years that grew up in LA during the Showtime Lakers want to be Laker girls.
[01:22:24] Tyra Banks: You did, huh? I was six, and I wanted to shake my polyethyl, but I sure did.
[01:22:29] Lil Wayne: I'm a part of that too.
[01:22:31] Craig Carton: She was a Laker Girl pull-up girl. She was the choreographer. She was choreographer!
[01:22:35] Lil Wayne: I can't believe that. I can believe that
[01:22:37] Craig Carton: I think she danced for them first and then became their main choreographer for the girls. She was their main choreography. Yeah. She might have gone crazy at some point after that, but...
[01:22:44] Lil Wayne: She was a Laker, though.
[01:22:46] Craig Carton: Yeah, now Paul Abdul's great, legend Paul Abdul. So did your parents say, sweetheart, that's not the job you're gonna have?
[01:22:52] Tyra Banks: I never told them it was like a secret longing to be a Laker girl.
[01:22:57] Lil Wayne: I thought it was cool. I thought Laker girls were cool. It was like Cowboy Cheerleaders. I was going to say the same thing.
[01:23:03] Craig Carton: They were special, like for young red-blooded American men, obviously cowboy cheerleaders, Laker girls, it's like, we want to watch basketball, when they came on, you're like, all right, wait a minute.
[01:23:13] Lil Wayne: Miss Dolly Parton, I guess it was one of her lifetime, lifelong dreams and remember she came out as a college girl. She did it recently, right?
[01:23:21] Tyra Banks: Oh, she wanted, that was her, one of her things? I think at a cowboy game she-
[01:23:23] Lil Wayne: I think at a cowboy game, she came out dressed like a... Oh wow! No, she danced with...
[01:23:28] Tyra Banks: The girls!
[01:23:29] Lil Wayne: She sang everything. I think that was just- She looked great too, by the way. Yeah, she did. I think it was just a pillow talk promise that Jerry, he stuck to it. Yeah. They're probably having 45 years ago, you know, like, I wanna be a, I told you I'm gonna let you be a cowgirl, stop, chill. 40 years later, hey, remember you asked me about that cowgirl? You thought I was lying. Here we go. Guess what? Get dressed. Ha ha ha!
[01:23:54] Tyra Banks: She looked good though!
[01:23:55] Lil Wayne: You look amazing.
[01:23:55] Tyra Banks: Well, she looked good because she'd probably fit in. When I was six years old, I was 6 feet tall.
[01:24:00] Lil Wayne: Like
[01:24:01] Craig Carton: Yeah, was it uncomfortable being tall, tall kids?
[01:24:04] Tyra Banks: I never had insecurities about it. No. No.
[01:24:07] Craig Carton: Because the modeling world is such an insecure business. You chose to go into the most insecure profession a woman could ever go into.
[01:24:13] Tyra Banks: But I never had insecurities about being tall, I had insecuries about being skinny.
[01:24:18] Craig Carton: Right
[01:24:19] Tyra Banks: Yeah, but not tall.
[01:24:20] Craig Carton: Because the area you came up with, there was no such thing as a plus size model or anything.
[01:24:23] Tyra Banks: But even before modeling, between two summers, between, what was it, 6th and 7th grade, I grew 3 inches, lost 30 pounds in 3 months.
[01:24:34] Lil Wayne: Just naturally. Just boom, real. You grew three inches in there.
[01:24:38] Tyra Banks: In three months. So it was like zzzzzzzz.
[01:24:42] Lil Wayne: And that was before Zempik.
[01:24:44] Tyra Banks: Exactly.
[01:24:44] Lil Wayne: That was natural. Anthony Davis. What happened to him?
[01:24:47] Craig Carton: I think he grew a lot of interest. Same thing.
[01:24:49] Lil Wayne: I remember Calipari said he recruited him as a point guard, so that summer before he got there, he was like, you know, yeah, how you doing, son, where's Anthony Davis at? And he's like, where is my point guard? I'm like, I am him, sir. He's like what happened to you?
[01:25:03] Tyra Banks: Was he still able to be a point guard being super tall? No. Being super tall?
[01:25:05] Lil Wayne: No. He was like seven feet tall. Not a lot of those dudes. That's why he got those handles though like wouldn't be because he was a point guard.
[01:25:12] Craig Carton: That's crazy. Outside of modeling, which France becomes a big deal for you, you've been a TV show host, you've been in movies, you done the daytime talk show. Outside of model, obviously, and we'll get to America's next top model in a second, which one of those jobs or experiences gave you the most satisfaction and take money out of it?
[01:25:33] Tyra Banks: Outside of modeling.
[01:25:34] Craig Carton: Yeah, like which of these things did you love the most?
[01:25:36] Tyra Banks: Question um so acting makes me nervous so like I like to have acted but when I am doing it and I am getting prepared and I am sweating I am nervous I am because I'm so used to doing what you guys are doing now is talking freely right so when you're a host you just talk you don't you know every now and then you read a little piece of something but in general it's free And so with acting, it's like, say this line, walk over there, open up the fridge, then say this, then walk over here, then I just, so it takes, and then I don't know what to do with my arms when I'm acting. People don't, I'm freaking out, and they're like, oh my God, you're so good in that scene, they have no idea.
[01:26:15] Tyra Banks: And you're like, oh, you've been looking at your arms the whole time.
[01:26:17] Tyra Banks: I'm like, what do I do? Do I go like this? Do like this what do? I do even when I was young and dating like a New date like say we were on a date like 30 years ago. I'd be like
[01:26:25] Craig Carton: What do I do with my hands? I don't know. I could be a bad guy and give you an answer, but I'm not gonna, I'm gonna. Oh, don't be a bat guy. I'm going to. I'm just saying, a couple of things get to mind.
[01:26:38] Tyra Banks: But what I enjoyed, I enjoyed hosting, I guess I was young and I would like do like MTV, like interviewing people on the street. I might have even interviewed you at something, like you know like a young model but like a correspondent. I used to love doing that.
[01:26:57] Lil Wayne: You would do it like when they do like stuff where it's like a pool and all that type of stuff. Yes, you remember! Yeah, hell yeah, I remember. Yes, you remember!
[01:27:03] Tyra Banks: Yes, it was like MTV's Summer Jam or something and there was a pool and different celebrities would come and I would interview them and I used to love that.
[01:27:11] Craig Carton: I think that's how Carmen Electra got discovered. She did one of those MTV summer house types of things. You are, and I say this respectfully, you're the Jackie Robinson of models. And I said I mean that because you're not the first African-American model, but you are the first in a lot of ways. You're the first to grace the cover of SI, you are also the first african-american woman to get the cover by yourself.
[01:27:35] Tyra Banks: Mm-hmm.
[01:27:36] Craig Carton: Obviously Victoria's Secret. You're a trailblazer. I know you can look back on that with clarity of how important that was for the future of black models. But I wonder in the moment if you were aware of how imporant that was or how rare that was that you got picked To be that woman
[01:27:54] Tyra Banks: So I knew it was big. You did? Yeah, so I remember, I think I was in Japan and I got a phone call from Sport Illustrated to tell me that I had made the cover. And this was the cover with someone else, right? So it was a cover with a Caucasian girl. And, but I knew was massive because I knew I was the first black and I was like, wow, this is big, this huge. And I can't remember if it was that year or the next year when I got the cover alone. Right. I was getting interviewed by everybody. Everybody's interviewing me and I'm like, yeah, this is great. Oh my God, it's amazing. Yeah, I understand. It's like, you know, breaking all these barriers. And then BET comes, puts a mic in my face, asks me the same question, and I broke down in tears.
[01:28:35] Lil Wayne: Really? It was different. It hit different. You're emotional now about it.
[01:28:41] Tyra Banks: Yeah, it was different because I knew that it was...
[01:28:45] Lil Wayne: That's the moment she realized it.
[01:28:47] Tyra Banks: And it being recognized and being a girl next door. And it was like the girl next to can be a black girl. Little black girls can see a representation of themselves because if you can't see it, you can dream it, you can be it. And so I'm doing it, it's so weird that it's like almost 30 years ago, but that moment when they put the mic in my face, I was like, I felt it deeply.
[01:29:10] Craig Carton: That's so powerful. Like all these years later to make you feel emotional. Shows you how important it was. And I imagine over these last 30 years, you've had to have tons of young black women, whether they became models or not, come to you and thank you.
[01:29:22] Tyra Banks: I know what's so crazy is Sport Illustrated did like a two-hour special on a big anniversary they had and it was like a big TV special and they were counting down also the top ten Sport Illustrate swimsuit covers of all time. I had a feeling I was going to be there, they didn't tell me, but I had the feeling I would probably be in there somewhere and they call my name, I think I was either the third or second biggest one. And so I'm on the stage and when I was sitting in the audience first all the models were like, oh my god, I dream this. I just. Wanted this so bad and so to be voted one of the top 10, this is amazing, was a dream come true to be on the cover and a dream comes true to to be recognized tonight. I got on that stage and I was like, this wasn't a dream because I didn't think it was possible. So thank you, but it wasn't dream. Cut two years later, there's a beautiful young girl by the name of Danielle Harrington, who was the next black model after me to make the cover. And I revealed it to her that she was going to be on the cover of the surprise. And she said years ago, I looked at you, Tyra, and it was my dream for this to happen. And so that's what it's about. The representation so that you know, to dream. I didn't know to dream, you know? So now she knew to dream and it made it happen. And so you open the door, open the door.
[01:30:40] Craig Carton: Which is a pretty badass thing to be, a trailblazer. Because it didn't come easy. I do have to ask you about that second cover, the one you did alone. It's one of the most iconic SI covers, and the bikini bottoms kind of being pulled down a bit. Walk me through, because like, I had that on my wall. I'm not gonna lie about it. It was like, wow, oh my god, what? Okay. Like, well, just walk me through that cover. Because I know you take a thousand photos for it. Were you comfortable with that? Was it your idea that the producer go, yeah, just pull it down a little bit more? No, not at all.
[01:31:12] Tyra Banks: No, not at all, I like to think of myself as a pretty master poser, you know, I'm able to teach posing and all of that. So no, it was just a thing, it's just pulling them down. I might have even been trying to make it not dig into my side, I don't know, but I was just working it, doing my thing.
[01:31:26] Craig Carton: You take so many shots. I was like, you probably took 10,000 pictures.
[01:31:30] Tyra Banks: So many. For sure. For sure.
[01:31:32] Craig Carton: When that came out, I always wanted to do this. Like I wrote a book. When my book came out I took my family to Barnes and Noble. And I said, this is awesome. Took them out of school. Daddy's book's coming out. We went into Barnes and noble. I was in New York City. So it was a Tribeca Barnes and Nobel. That's where my hotspot was for my fans and listeners. We go into Barnes& Noble, no book. I call Simon and Schuster, I go, the book came out today, right? Yeah, that's awesome, it's doing great. I go I went into a New York City Barnes and Noble where my biggest fan base is. No book. I wish it sold out. They go, oh, by the way, we didn't tell you, we're in a fight with Barnes and Noble. They're not taking any new releases. Oh my god. You had to go to a Sarasota, Florida Costco to find my book. What? I'm like, no best seller, no. I say that story because I wonder for you, ego aside. Did you go into the store to buy SI when you were still producing a magazine to buy your cover shop? If ever.
[01:32:31] Tyra Banks: Hell yes I did. Hell yes, I did, me and my mama went to the newsstand and not just that newsstand, but the other newsstand. And then you're like putting it in like a better location, you know, like I put it right here. Let me like line them all up. Let me just cover all this. I'm gonna cover up Golf Digest, I'ma cover up Harper's Design, cover up you know Architectural Digest. Just S-I, S- I, S I, oh yeah, we did that all over. Only magazine you can buy in LA. Exactly, that was it. The newsstand was everything back then.
[01:32:55] Lil Wayne: I would do the same thing. Did you do that with CDs? I walked, so you can ask DJ Khaled. He worked in his record store in New Orleans. He was actually working behind the register. He was a kid. There would be like Thursdays he would DJ. Thursdays we got out of school early. So I would go there and I would walk to the store and I will show them my real name on the back of my CD because they wouldn't believe it because we didn't have no pictures on the cover. We just had True Story Bee Gees. They didn't believe it was me until I turned it on. Dwayne Carter, niggas playing with me. Yeah.
[01:33:30] Craig Carton: Did they buy any? We didn't have the money to buy any. Yeah, that's gotta be an awesome moment because your mom is such an important figure in your life. Yeah, she's everything. Even to this day. She's everything, mom. To be able to go out there with your mom, I made it, mom, right? Yes. That gives some sense of that. I made, I made. She's every little. I remember.
[01:33:46] Tyra Banks: My first check for $5,000, when I was early, early modeling, we celebrated at the... Mine was $6,500. Yours was$ 6,500? Yeah. Why are you rich? Mine was 5,000. Damn, okay. So I'm losing money. We went to California Pizza Kitchen to celebrate. That's awesome. And I had like a barbecue... They don't pay me, John. That's cool. Barbecue chicken pizza. Yeah.
[01:34:07] Craig Carton: See the humble roots?
[01:34:09] Tyra Banks: Yeah.
[01:34:09] Craig Carton: You probably haven't been to a CPK in a long time.
[01:34:11] Tyra Banks: That's not true, Joe.
[01:34:12] Craig Carton: Is that true? I do have to bring something up for you, if I may. I know that in addition to the many hats you have worn and continue to wear, I'm gonna show this to Wayne, all right? So before you say anything, Wayne, I just wonder, is that something you might eat for dessert one day? A nice heart-shaped ice cream cookie?
[01:34:30] Lil Wayne: It does vanilla ice cream? Uh, it looks like it's, uh, some type of... Looks like it is an Oreo.
[01:34:35] Craig Carton: Looks like it's an Oreo kind of chocolate chip type of thing. I would. By the way, this is yours, as you know, Smy Sammy's. We're talking about an ice cream mogul right here, Wayne, and that's one of your creations. Let me give it to you with the name so we can get it on camera. There you go.
[01:34:51] Tyra Banks: It's a Smize Sandy, so I launched these ice cream sandwiches. I have an ice cream company called Smize and Dream. It's in Sydney, Australia. Okay. And so I always say different is better than better, so you gotta do stuff different. That's different. Right, so, I was like, let's make it heart-shaped.
[01:35:04] Craig Carton: I like it.
[01:35:05] Tyra Banks: I would eat it. It looks great. The ice cream inside of it is called Tyra's favorite.
[01:35:09] Craig Carton: So it's not cooking. What's in Tyra's favor, just so I know.
[01:35:12] Tyra Banks: It is a salted vanilla ice cream with a house made caramel butter that we make in house and hand roasted and salted.
[01:35:21] Craig Carton: What is it, like $50 per dollar?
[01:35:24] Tyra Banks: It's $14, and then we got eyes on it, 14 Australian, which is like, I don't know, like nine bucks or eight, yeah, something like that.
[01:35:32] Craig Carton: Got it. Yeah.
[01:35:33] Lil Wayne: You are an ice cream girl
[01:35:34] Tyra Banks: Yes, and it comes in a little bag, a little purse, little, yeah.
[01:35:37] Lil Wayne: What's salt? Why do you say salty?
[01:35:39] Tyra Banks: Uh, so when you add a little salt to sweet, it like balances it.
[01:35:42] Lil Wayne: I don't know what to put in the ice cream.
[01:35:44] Tyra Banks: Yeah, a little bit, a tiny bit, and it creates something that the British call moorish. It makes you want more of something if there's a little bit of salt in your desserts. So a lot of the cookies you like chocolate chip cookies and a lot has a little salt on top. Yeah, yeah, or even inside.
[01:36:01] Craig Carton: I mean, I can eat a lot of cookies without the salt. You add salt, it doesn't matter. I'm good either way.
[01:36:06] Lil Wayne: Alright, this might as well-
[01:36:08] Craig Carton: They look good though. They look cute.
[01:36:09] Tyra Banks: They look cute, but they taste good, too.
[01:36:11] Craig Carton: Got it, you gotta bring that to the states. We gotta get some smies in the states, me and Wayne are in on that. Oh wait, they on the, I'm not sure.
[01:36:17] Tyra Banks: Right now they're in Australia.
[01:36:19] Craig Carton: The origins and the entire storyline of America's next top model walk me through the etymology of You just having this kind of at the time a harebrained crazy idea and watching it go from something in my head To something that was tangible and real. Yeah
[01:36:35] Tyra Banks: So I was gonna go to school for film and television production. I wanted to be a writer, director, producer for film and TV, and I got accepted to a bunch of schools for that. And then I got second discovery and went off to Paris to model, so I've always had that in me to wanna produce television and film. And so I used to watch that show, The Real World.
[01:36:54] Tyra Banks: Sure.
[01:36:54] Tyra Banks: In the real world and I thought it was phenomenal and then there was this new show called American Idol or something I was like that's cool too and I was like what if I combined the real-world where you can see what people live with American Idol we see performance but set it in the modeling industry so it wasn't invention it was innovation innovation of things that exist that combined to make something new
[01:37:19] Craig Carton: We got two minutes left. I'm gonna go fast-paced with you here. So we're gonna let you get out of here, okay? Did you ever turn down a job that you look back and go, that would have been a big hit, I should have said yes to that.
[01:37:28] Tyra Banks: You have no idea. Talk about it, come on. I cannot tell you, but they are huge. I was literally talking about one of them yesterday, but they're massive monumental that would have changed the trajectory of my life.
[01:37:44] Speaker 5 TV, movie, meet what? Um, yeah, give us one.
[01:37:47] Tyra Banks: I cannot, I cannot. But they are like, I don't know why I lay awake at night sometimes and I think about it like, why did I do that? And I'll tell people they're like, but you turn into a supermodel, but I was like, But yeah, but that would have been
[01:37:58] Lil Wayne: That's why you're holding on to it now is because you're still going to do it.
[01:38:01] Tyra Banks: Um, one I can't, this one legend is no longer with us.
[01:38:05] Lil Wayne: Oh!
[01:38:05] Tyra Banks: And that would have been something massive. The other one, I went a different direction. Do you know what that one was again? What? I don't know.
[01:38:12] Craig Carton: Well, if he's not over here, you could probably share it.
[01:38:14] Tyra Banks: I don't know and then there was another one when Wayne reached out to me and wanted me to like do a verse
[01:38:21] Lil Wayne: By the way, I don't know. You know she did that to not have to know about it. Yes, yes, yes. She's smart. She's not stupid.
[01:38:29] Craig Carton: Um, I can't speak for my partner, but I can make that happen. That's easy. If you're back in LA, we can get you into the studio, right? Kobe did it!
[01:38:37] Lil Wayne: Oh, that's easy.
[01:38:38] Craig Carton: Can we get her on a track? This is easy. Carter seven? It's easy. Yeah, I'd do this.
[01:38:43] Tyra Banks: But what about how to shove?
[01:38:45] Craig Carton: Listen, he's the genius. I'm just along for the ride here. He's the guy.
[01:38:49] Tyra Banks: So we're gonna
[01:38:50] Craig Carton: So we're gonna acknowledge right now at some point in the future. Yes, you're saying yes to it. Tyra Banks will be on one of your singles
[01:38:58] Tyra Banks: I could just talk, I could do a little something. No, we're gonna make it big.
[01:39:02] Craig Carton: We'll figure it out.
[01:39:02] Tyra Banks: We'll figure it out.
[01:39:03] Craig Carton: I might have to write it. No, that's okay. I always think of the coming to America scene in the club. My name is Peaches and I'm the best. No, maybe not.
[01:39:13] Lil Wayne: I don't know what I'm saying, you're talking about our city hall!
[01:39:18] Craig Carton: Alright, so you have turned down an opportunity that you regret turning down.
[01:39:22] Tyra Banks: About three. About three of them. Yeah, big. Really.
[01:39:24] Craig Carton: Really? You were going to be Cameron Diaz as well in the mask? Bigger. Bigger than that?
[01:39:29] Tyra Banks: Yeah. Bigger. Really? Yeah, bigger.
[01:39:30] Craig Carton: Was it a movie? I don't know. We're gonna have to start talking more offline. They're both bigger than that. Misconceptions about Tire Banks, or regrets, other than passing over three multi-million dollar opportunities. The mask, being one of them. When you look back on your life, you've had this amazing run, great success, you had failures along the way also. Any regrets?
[01:39:53] Tyra Banks: Oh, I have so many regrets. Yeah, I regret so many things. I regret saying anything that ever hurt somebody's feelings. I regret saying no to those amazing opportunities. I regret.
[01:40:07] Craig Carton: Yeah, you're funny.
[01:40:08] Tyra Banks: The math.
[01:40:10] Craig Carton: That's gonna go viral by the way you know it.
[01:40:11] Tyra Banks: I regret a lot. Yeah. Yeah, and so many people go, oh my god, I don't regret anything. And you know, everything that I've done in life has led me to this moment. Like, you know I'm being honest.
[01:40:21] Craig Carton: That sounded like a white California girl, is what I took out of her. I swear I just got up.
[01:40:25] Lil Wayne: I thought she was serious.
[01:40:29] Craig Carton: Do you regret the three songs you put out?
[01:40:32] Tyra Banks: Um, three? I thought I just did one.
[01:40:33] Craig Carton: I have you down for putting out three songs.
[01:40:35] Tyra Banks: Oh wait you're right there's Kobe there's Shake Your Body and what oh my wait I did a Todrick Holland
[01:40:40] Craig Carton: Yeah, any regrets on that? So.
[01:40:43] Tyra Banks: He's an amazing performance singer. He's almost like an EGOT, kind of, without the EGots. He just has so much talent in so many different ways. But I did a song with him. So I was talking to my child, and I don't talk about my child publicly, but I will tell you this. And he was like, mommy, that song, Shake Your Body, that you did, it's OK. But it's like, shake your body, ready, wing it, ready, ready. Shake your body. We get money, we get money money! He's like, maybe you should have put out a different song.
[01:41:15] Craig Carton: I thought your son would say that.
[01:41:16] Tyra Banks: My son. And it's so interesting because I think Rodney Jerkins. Hello, Rodney.
[01:41:23] Lil Wayne: Shut up, Randy.
[01:41:24] Tyra Banks: I did a bunch of songs with Rodney Jerkin. So talented, oh, he's so talented. And there was a song that I was gonna put out just on America's Next Top Model. It was not for the public, it was for Top Model, my singing debut, and there is a song called Driving Me Crazy. And it was just- Fine Young Cannibals? No, well, actually it wasn't called that. Oh, okay. No, no, my song. Oh, your song, I'm sorry, I got it. My song, and I sing, and on Shake Your Body, I sing every lyric, by the way. You do? Front, back, side, oh. Fine Young cannibals with the fine young cannibal.
[01:41:53] Craig Carton: Was a group, Wayne? Yes. You drive me crazy.
[01:42:00] Lil Wayne: Yeah, they're called the fine young animals
[01:42:02] Tyra Banks: animals. Not a great name by the way. So there was a song, I think it was called Drive Me Crazy, something like that, and it was beautiful. It was Wayne, it was a stepsister, cousin's, uncle's, nephew's, dog walker's, you know, babysitter to How to Love, right? It just, not really. But it just, it just was so beautiful. And I sang it to my son, it's my son. I'm not going to sing it to you guys now. And he goes, Mommy, that's the one you should have done. That's the one. Maybe you could have been a singer, because that one's really good, but instead you did shake it, money, money! Money, money money! Shake it! Money, Money! Money,Money!
[01:42:37] Craig Carton: Well, I got the collab you do that beautiful song if Wayne agrees
[01:42:42] Lil Wayne: Not the fine young cantaloupe. No, not the fine...
[01:42:46] Tyra Banks: The beautiful one. That's actually not a bad idea. I think that would be awesome. What a great collab that would make. That would be great. But it would have to be on your thing because I'm not a singer.
[01:42:57] Craig Carton: No, it's his turf.
[01:42:58] Tyra Banks: It would be his turf and I would just be guesting.
[01:43:00] Lil Wayne: And let's get it.
[01:43:01] Tyra Banks: It's beautiful. It's Rodney. You know it's amazing.
[01:43:04] Lil Wayne: And he's a beast.
[01:43:05] Craig Carton: We can talk to you all day. I know you got a flight to catch. Any final thing that is important to you this moment in your life that you wanna say to your fans.
[01:43:13] Tyra Banks: I'm doing Project Runway.
[01:43:15] Craig Carton: WHAT?!
[01:43:15] Tyra Banks: Yeah. Hosting it? I know, I'm one of the judges. Okay. So it's so nice actually to walk on set and not to be the boss, like to just like walk and just like chill and be like, okay, and then just like leave and like not have to like, you know, do all the work stuff. Really? Yeah. So I'm doing Project Runway.
[01:43:31] Craig Carton: Okay, congratulations on that. That's badass. When did you guys start filming that?
[01:43:35] Tyra Banks: Um, it's it started filming and it's airing now and you're loving it and I'm loving it. Look at you. Yes. All right
[01:43:42] Craig Carton: We can't thank you enough for coming in here and nothing but the best of luck and success to you and hopefully we can see you again next time you're in LA and we can get that collab going. I think that's badass. That's easy number one right there.
[01:43:53] Tyra Banks: I think we really should but Rodney's doing gospel music. So maybe he'll like step aside just for a little bit
[01:43:59] Craig Carton: When Wayne calls, he comes. It's a beautiful story. All right, so we made something special here. A pleasure meeting you. Thank you so much, we're big fans. For little Wayne, Craig Carton, Tyra Banks, have yourselves a great rest of your day.
