The Viktor Wilt Show daily recap! If you miss the show weekdays from 6A-10A MST, you've come to the right place.
Here we go.
Speaker 1: Monday on a Tuesday. I'll take it. Definitely feels like a Monday. Feels like actually should be Sunday. Because as usual, weekend went by way too quickly. Probably because I spend Saturday just pretty much feeling like a miserable turd laying around feeling sorry for myself. Um this weekend I decided, as I mentioned on Friday, gonna get off the booze, you know. And you know, if you're like me, weekend generally arrives and it's like, all right, time to throw down.
This weekend, the opposite. Uh, but I successfully made it through. Yep. Round of applause for me. Made it through. And uh just gonna keep it going. Just gonna keep it going so I can feel you know, super energized and good, and well, at least better.
Yeah. Then if I don't get the sleep I need, because I never do, it's not as bad. I mean, hopefully, I can start going to bed earlier in general.
I tried last night. Uh, I didn't get into bed as early as I would have wanted, and then could not get to sleep, but ultimately this morning seems fine. So I have like nothing to report from the weekend. Uh, you know, like I said, Saturday, useless.
Sunday, uh, Becca was working. I played a bunch of Red Dead, then she got home, took a nap. I continued to play Red Dead. I played a ton of Red Dead on uh Sunday, beat the story portion of Red Dead 2 on my I don't know what it this is, fourth or fifth playthrough. And I'm at about 95% of 100% completion.
I have big life goals right now, everybody, at least for this week. Uh, you know, 100% Red Dead 2, and then do another playthrough of GTA 5 before Grand Theft Auto 6 comes out in about two months. So I I think it's doable, but 100%ing Red Dead 2 is kind of a pain. Uh, it's very tedious.
Lots of collecting items from all over the map. So I don't know if I'll actually get that done because there are more important things I need to do, like you know, get the house ready for winter, uh, get my garage cleaned out, clean my whole entire house, shampoo the carpets. Um yeah, there's a lot that needs to be done, but hopefully, motivation will increase. As for it increasing today, I don't know because it's a Monday on a Tuesday, but ultimately I'm up and atom, and uh I'm gonna try to get the job done.
All right, time to play catch up since it was a three-day weekend, always makes the Monday on a Tuesday a little bit hectic, but uh Peaches should be back in the house today. Looked like he had a good good trip from what I saw. He posted his manifesto.
I'm sure we'll talk with him about that when he gets in. Uh yeah, what else did I do this weekend? Cooked breakfast for dinner last night. Ooh. If like I said, pretty pretty uneventful, but that was just fine.
Just fine. Uh now I just need to, I think, uh take a little ibuprofen for the uh the headache I've had for about four days. But I did pound a nice cup of coffee. That that tends to help uh help with the old headache, right?
Maybe. Anyhow, we're gonna have fun today. I think I'm gonna try.com. Like our job of the week, a customer service specialist routing and dispatching coordinator at the Snake River Disposal in Blackfoot. It's a family-owned and locally operated commercial commercial garbage service, committed to providing reliable, efficient, and friendly waste management solutions. Yeah, you want to help out with uh customer service, routing, dispatching, and all that there. Good at working the phones. they're hiring.

The fully revamped higher east idaho.com. Alright. Well, I just got some bad news. Bad news if you're a fan of video games and their TV adaptations. You a fan of The Last of Us. I thought they did a fantastic job with season one of The Last of Us on HBO. That's one of the greatest game series of all time. I definitely would like to replay through it again.
I did so, I think about a year or so ago. Uh, part one and two. I think both masterpieces in gaming, and I'm one of those 50% of people that thinks The Last of Us 2 is way better than part one. The other 50% hate the game because of the story.
It's not like it doesn't play good. They just don't like the story because of things I'm not gonna say, because I don't want to spoil such a good story for you. But The Last of Us is not a happy story, okay? It's a dark post-apocalyptic, depressing, bleak story, and some people can't handle that.
You know, everything's gotta be spoon-fed to them on a nice shunshine and rainbow, you know, just lit up platter of happiness, and not all entertainment needs to be that way. Now, the season two that HBO put out of The Last of Us was I mean, it was good, but I wouldn't call it as good as part one simply because of the way they they kind of did it. It's been a while since I watched season two, but I remember there were things about it where I'm like, alright, uh, this could have been revealed at the end. You know, it felt like they were spoon feeding you the story, like you as a viewer were too stupid to understand what was happening, and I hate when they do that in movies. I like to be able to have a discussion afterwards and go, oh, that was what was going on, or like if you watch Hereditary or Midsommar, and you gotta get on the internet and like do a deep dive, like, okay, what it all what did all that mean? What exactly happened there?
I like stuff like that. I don't think that you need to spoon feed the story to people, they can fill in the gaps themselves or do a little bit of research, but apparently, okay, here getting to the bad news. They are going to be ending The Last of Us season three on HBO. Now, wait a minute.
Okay, I now I'm seeing conflicting stories. The Last of Us will continue after the HBO show's third season, but you've got the company that made The Last of Us distancing themselves from season three on HBO, and I had read that it was gonna be the last season. And you know, people for the most part, according to this article said that you know the the first two seasons were a pretty good adaptation of the first two chunks of the game, but now it seems they may change significantly in season three. Great.
Great. I can only imagine what kind of stupid things HBO is gonna come up with to ruin the end of this series. HBO got a very bad track record. Well, okay, they've got a very great track record with ending some shows, but they've got a very bad track record with ending some shows. Like The Sopranos, ended perfectly. The wire, I thought they ended it great.
Game of Thrones, yeah, one of the most popular shows of all time. This is what happens when you last you rush the last season. I I think there's enough content left in the story of The Last of Us for them to do two seasons. If they're gonna cram it all into one, it's gonna it's gonna be like that final season of Game of Thrones, and it's gonna make people very mad because it's just gonna feel rushed.
Sometimes you need to have some patience and draw things out. So I don't have a lot of hope in HBO doing a good job with season three of The Last of Us. Not after what they did to Game of Thrones. Now I personally thought the Game of Thrones wasn't the worst ending of a show I'd seen, and I thought they got all the plot elements in there that made sense for the most part to end the story. It was just so rushed. There was no breathing room. It was just okay, let's wrap up plot line wrap it up, wrap it up, wrap it up, wrap it up, wrap it.
Like it was just a rapid fire wrapping up of plot lines, and it was so annoying. So I don't know when this is supposed to come out, but I'm I'm disappointed to see that because they did such a great job with season one and a pretty good job with season two. Maybe they should have just because of how divisive the second game was. Maybe they should have just ended at the beginning or you know, ended with part one.
Because part one wrapped up the first game magnificently. It was really good. It's kind of like Westworld. First season of Westworld on HBO, a masterpiece, start to finish. If they would have just left it at one season, it'd probably have gone down as one of the greatest shows of all time.
But they had to keep it going. And even though I liked season two, I thought it was great. From there, it just kind of went downhill, and I never watched the uh the final season. It's kind of like Yellowstone. Started out really good and just went downhill.
Never watched the final season. The offshoot 1883, I think is better than anything that was in Yellowstone. But you know me, I like a good Western. I like playing cowboy, but at least 1883 seemed like real cowboys.
Yellowstone was a bit over the top, and it also created this mass army of uh fake cowboys that came out of the woodwork and decided I'm gonna move out west, I'm gonna buy a big truck, uh I'm gonna get a cowboy hat, and I'm gonna sit around listening to Zach Bryan, and uh, I'm a cowboy now. No, you're not a cowboy, okay. Wearing a cowboy hat does dust that now make thee a cowboy. Um, I've worn a cowboy hat before. I grew up around actual cowboys, people who raise cattle and uh ranchers and farmers and things like that. That's you know, that's my dad's side of the family. Ranchers and cowboys and farmers, and I'll tell you what, the guys who style themselves off of uh John Dutton. You ain't raising a horses or anything like that.
Get out of here. Man, I gotta tell you, it is feeling like a Monday. I'm so glad it's Tuesday. Hopefully this week, Rockets by, even if I don't have a three-day weekend ahead.
We got fun stuff coming up, though. Is it next week or the week after? Let me pull up the old calendar here.
Okay, week after 23rd. We got that Seven Dust and Theory of a Dead Man show at the Mountain America Center. Gonna be a great time. We're giving away tickets all week. Keep listening for those back-to-back tracks from either band. If you hear two in a row played, be caller number 20 when the second song starts, and we'll hook you up with a pair of tickets. Plus, put you into a drawing for meet and greets with Theory of a Deadman. Yeah, that that's simple. Or to make it even easier, if you want to guarantee that you go to the show, just go to Mountain America Center.com, and you can buy your tickets.
Let's uh let's have a look at what's available. Why am I keyboard working? What kind of a piece of crap is this? Jade, fix it. Mountain America Center.
Dead camp. Alright. Site can be reached. Did I give out the wrong address?
What's wrong with me? Hang on, Mountain America Center. I swear that's their website. I've been there a million times.
Uh Mountain America Center.com. I must have typed it wrong. I don't know how to spell. I'm dumb.
Okay. Let's take a look at the uh Seven Dust Theory Tickets. Well, did they stop their ticket sale? Let's see here. Drum roll.
please. Yeah, it looks like the uh ticket sale is gone. But there are uh there's some decent seats left, and it's cool because it's gonna be a half venue show. So no matter where you're at, you're gonna be in a great spot for Seven Dust and Theory of a Dead Man. So go to the show. I'm gonna be there. Yeah, it's a work night, but that that's fine.
You know, we'll all crush it down and then we'll go to work the next day. It's I mean, if you've never seen Seven Dust Live, they are so good. So might as well try to go for free, but if you don't win, buy your tickets now.
And it is Mountain America Center.com. I don't know why I can't spell. I'll be back with freak news. Alright, I guess I'm gonna save freak news for a bit because the big of himself just walked in paycheck. Yeah, the peaches back. Oh, my peace and quiet and relaxation.
Speaker 2: The peach the door. The peaches back. Elton Johnson, I love that.
Speaker 1: Well, I saw over the weekend Peaches. You finally got around to posting the Peaches Manifesto. When you texted me and said you were gonna post it, I'm like, all right, I'm locking my doors, I'm arming myself, my cameras are running. Stay back.
Speaker 2: I should have pulled up wearing one of those Mexican wrestling masks and
Speaker 1: just stare outside stood outside your house staring into the camera. Just be like, Lieutenant Crane, hurry! Get over. There's a gigantic I don't know, luchador outside. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Help me.
Speaker 2: Well, I figured I would change it up since I always get you a shirt every time I go to California. Uh-huh. I figured out you've always wanted to own one of these.
Speaker 1: I've always wanted to own one of these. What is it? A giant safety pin. It's the in and out safety pin. It is an in and out safety pin. Is that what we use to like pin your apron back? Oh, all right.
Or for you know, the world's largest diaper. I think yes. Yeah. You have two of these, don't you?
I do. Well, look, I actually brought you something too. Oh!
I uh I got you this. When was Sick New World? That was April? No, no, no, October. Wait. No, it was a long time.
It was April. So this my house has been a mess for months. And we did start cleaning up my dining room table. And there's just bags and bags of souvenirs from basically all summer all over there. And I I found this magnet that I meant to give you.
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe five months ago. I love this.
Speaker 1: It's from the city of Beaver, Utah. And if you've ever been through Beaver, Utah, they make their entire economy off of selling items that say I love beaver.
Speaker 2: It's like the Uranus Fudge Factory. I've never heard of that place. It's Uranus something. I forgot what state, but they have a fudge factory there, and they they have all this stuff about packing fudge and they they really go to the what's it called? The uh absolute limit. The extreme? The extreme, the absolute extreme to really make that joke the entire time.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, the whole town. I mean, we just picked a random gas station to stop and get gas. 10 million I Love Beaver items. So I'm like, oh, they got a magnet somewhere. And got you that magnet. Well, perfect.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm actually running out of room.
Speaker 1: Running out of room for magnets. Alright, good. I don't have to buy you anymore.
Speaker 2: I moved them all from the front of my fridge to the side of my fridge.
Speaker 1: Oh, then you got the whole front of the fridge to go. Yeah. I don't want to cover it that much. Yeah, dude. Go wild. And it'd be like me with a bookshelf that's empty. I actually do have one, the one you gave me because I still can't figure out you didn't give it to me.
Sold it to me. But I still can't figure out a place to put it because my house is a mess. I have some ideas, but there's books to go on it. Just don't know where to put it.
Speaker 2: So I almost got rid of the whole entire magnet collection when I was going through all my stuff.
Speaker 1: If you would have done that and not given me back all the magnets I got you, I would have been like, dude. Some of those magnets I spent a good chunk of change on.
Speaker 2: No, I got some. Yeah, you've got to be a good one. Some of them are fine.
Speaker 1: Some of them were like 15 bucks.
Speaker 2: I got that big burger one you got from Vegas still on the fridge.
Speaker 1: That one didn't cost too much.
Speaker 2: But uh I also got that one that's like that opens up. It's a little beer mug.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that was one of the more expensive ones. I bought that in uh Leavenworth, Washington. Yeah. The town that looks like uh a German town in the middle of the mountains.
It's a pretty cool town. I mean, we didn't uh I wish we would have had a night to like stay there and really look around, but we just stopped real quick, went to a uh the place where I bought that magnet, and they had uh, you know, public restrooms, but you had to buy something to uh to use them. So I'd already planned on buying something, but bought the stuff. I'm like, all right, can I use the bathroom? They give me the key. And it's a full on bathroom with like three stalls, three urinals, but one person can go in there at a time. Stupid.
Speaker 2: Stupid.
Speaker 1: Place was really clean though, because nobody's using it.
Speaker 2: Get rid of the walk off the door.
Speaker 1: What's the point of this? You can easily get six people in here.
Speaker 2: I know you made me want to visit uh Wallace, Idaho.
Speaker 1: Wallace is really cool. I'd like to uh actually spend a night in Wallace. It's just so far away. It is a hefty drive. What is it? About eight hours or something. I mean, it it's a long drive. I realized how much I hate driving. Let's see. Did you drive? Well, you didn't drive to LA, but you drove around a lot in LA.
Speaker 2: We I we drove to Laguna Beach. Well, luckily my friend Matt actually drove drove us. I was shocked by that. Oh. But I did drive to LA a few times, and traffic here is nowhere near close.
Speaker 1: You're you're kidding me. In a place with millions and millions of people, there's more traffic than here.
Speaker 2: But I gotta tell you, Waymo is the way to go. Yeah. Oh, that thing is so cool. You get in the Jaguar, and that thing just takes off. Why? It does not care. It'll go like 45 to up to 45 in a matter of seconds.
Speaker 1: That'll Peach's. There was a story, I think it was last week while you were gone about uh because people have to clean those Waymo's out. Yeah. And people were finding Dookie in the back seat of the Waymo.
Speaker 2: I think I saw one of your podcast titles that said that.
Speaker 1: It might have been. I should have popped the squat. Hey, you know, might as well save some time while we're on our way to wherever we're headed. It's a Waymo bathroom.
Speaker 2: We went to a restaurant that was four, five miles away. But five miles away, right? This is how bad LA traffic is. 40 minutes to get there. And so we got in the Waymo, and my friend Matt sent me the uh the code to get $10 off the ride. It was seven dollars for the three of us. Jeez to get into that car and just have it take us to this place called the Golden Dragon. We went to Chinatown. Gotcha. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Somebody's recalling relentlessly, so let's see what they want. Uh K bear, please turn down your radio. Uh you were live on the show. Who's this?
Speaker 3: This is Vinca, and I'm the one that bought peaches. Oh, she wants that I heart fever.
Speaker 1: She wants to claim she got you the magnet. I did. Who paid for it?
Speaker 3: I got it for Peaches, and I'm the one that made sure you give it to them.
Speaker 1: She's she is the one who made sure I gave it to you. She saw it and was like, what's up with this? I'm like, uh, oh yeah.
Speaker 3: So don't, don't, oh don't claim that you did it.
Speaker 1: Okay, it's from me and Becca Peaches.
Speaker 2: Well, is that the reason why all these dollars went missing at the alibi on the wall? Because Victor said he paid for the magnets.
Speaker 1: That's how I get my spare bucks. I walk into the bathroom and I just rip them off the wall.
Speaker 2: Boy, the alibi is my favorite bar. And Victor walks in there, starts ripping the dollars off the wall.
Speaker 3: Honestly, he probably had him stuffed them in his pocket. Yeah.
Speaker 1: You know, nothing like taking these old faded bills that have horrific things written on them and then trying to spend them at the gas station.
Speaker 2: And then you go to that one specific lounge here in town. Oh yeah.
Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm the one who did it, Peaches, not him. So everyone who's listening right now, just know it was me, not Victor.
Speaker 2: Is this the opposite of like mansplaining? This is like this is a woman splaying. Yeah.
Speaker 3: You know how like dudes throughout throughout history have like taken over like female inventions. This is just the opposite.
Speaker 3: At least I'm nice and I think about you, man.
Speaker 2: No, thank you, Becky. I really appreciate it. I I had a feeling you would have all people to give me this magnet.
Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that I was like, we gotta get peaches with magnet. No, I bought two. We did buy a couple.
Speaker 3: But uh no, I bought two I bought two. I bought one for our fridge and then one for Peaches. Is it on our fridge? Yeah. Oh.
Speaker 1: Shows how much attention I pay to everything. But yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3: And then you're claiming that you're the one that did it. No, it was me, dude. Whatever.
Speaker 1: Whatever. Okay, well, uh, Ligma.
Speaker 3: I'm gonna Jeez, you have a good day at work, woman. I forget, bye. Right. We both got it for you. Okay. Who's the one who knows that magnets are what you collect?
Speaker 2: Whose idea was it to give me that birthday gift? That's what I want to know. Um, I feel like that's more a Becca decision.
Speaker 1: That was uh well, okay. Her idea was to go to Spencer's and get you something similar. And I said, I don't want to go to the mall. Adam and Eve is right down the road. Oh, yeah. Right.
So we can either drive one minute or 15. We're going down, and and we would have we wouldn't have been able to find something that crazy at Spencer's. I don't think.
Speaker 2: No, you would have got me something way worse. Worse. Yeah. You go to the back of the shop.
Speaker 1: Well, Adam and Eve, the whole store is the back of the shop at Spencer. All right. All right, everybody. We better take a break. But welcome back, pages. Jeez, everybody bothering me today. That's what you get. For coming to work. Yep.
Speaker 4: Go to East Idaho News.com.
Speaker 1: Oh boy. Oh boy.
Speaker 4: There's two fun stories on here that you could talk about.
Speaker 1: I wonder if I commented on either of them.
Speaker 4: Let's see if you Noticed either one of these. Let's see. Right on the top there.
Speaker 1: All right, I see. How often do you fart? I'm guessing that's one of them. Yep. This smart flatulence underwear can tell you that and more. I don't know if I want to count my farts, because I worry.
Speaker 4: It looks like right in... It looks like they're...
Speaker 1: Okay, I don't like the look of this underwear. Okay, right where the farts would come out.
Speaker 2: There seems to be a sensor.
Speaker 1: Yeah, like There's a there's a perfect way to describe this. Yes. But I can't.
Speaker 4: There's certain stores you could buy something like this. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Um I would assume I'm I'm really helped that the sensor is just on the outside of the underwear. Because it doesn't. It could be separate from the underwear, and you'd have to attach it in a way. You know what I'm saying?
Speaker 4: Well, It's supposed to be measuring first, not stopping them.
Speaker 1: Well, if it's got like uh say it's kind of like a water filter. You know, maybe it's got a chart coal so air can pass through. Okay. I'm trying to think of a small all right. We might as well just okay. These are underwear, smart underwear. Why would you want this? Why would you need to know how many times you're gonna do it?
Speaker 2: So you're a Alexa, we would tell you every time you fart, you farted again.
Speaker 4: I guess it would be good for those arguments when you're significant others like you just fart all night long. And he'd be like, oh, not according to my smart underwear. I I only let uh one rip last night and it was at this proper time. Let's see here. And it had this microbe in it. What what what else does this do aside from count farts?
Speaker 4: It measures your gut health, apparently with how much uh it smells terrible.
Speaker 1: So it smells your farts.
Speaker 4: Yeah. Measures measures what's in them.
Speaker 1: Maybe you should get these Jays. Because I know you don't like to go to the doctor.
Speaker 4: the doctor. My guts hurt today. They wouldn't make it through the day.
Speaker 1: The underwear just self-destructs.
Speaker 4: Too much overload.
Speaker 1: Does it have an alarm that goes off if you've got a major problem area?
Speaker 4: Not enough oxygen left.
Speaker 1: I just hear this doot, doot coming down the hallway. No, that's Jade the smart underwear. Uh all right. I dude, I bet these are really expensive too. Probably. And they couldn't be comfortable with that little sensor right in that because that's right where you sit. Yeah. Even if the smallest spot. Like, have you ever like had something in your back pocket and you're like, ah, gotta get that at the end.
Speaker 4: That's why I carry my wallet in my front pocket.
Speaker 1: Me too.
Speaker 4: I don't want anything back there.
Speaker 1: You'll give yourself a bad back.
Speaker 4: That's right. I already have back problems.
Speaker 1: All right, let's see if I can guess what the other story is. It's not New Mexico, right? No. Okay.
Speaker 4: You're gonna have to scroll down a little bit. Okay. Let's see. More stories.
Speaker 1: All right, just tell me what it is so I can try. I'm not gonna be able to. It's gonna deal with airplanes. Okay. I I doubt it would be the one that killed a bunch of people. Uh more stories.
Speaker 4: No, you don't have to click on more stories, just keep scrolling down. It's gonna be in one of the main All right. move for airplanes here. Is it local? Nope. Regional. Yeah, regional.
Speaker 1: Maybe you must I don't see it.
Speaker 4: Just an unruly passenger getting duct tape to a seat.
Speaker 1: Oh, I saw that over the weekend. Yeah, I didn't know if that was real or not. Yeah. Okay, let me just Google duct tape. That should bring it up because it was the most popular.
Speaker 4: Sip tied and duct taped. All right. There we go. That's how you should.
Speaker 1: Okay, so you had a mid-air racist outburst on an airplane, and then lost his job after duct taping after being duct taped. And the I mean, they duct tape the crap out of his of this guy.
Speaker 2: Yeah, they used a lot of that role.
Speaker 1: Like they've got multiple strips around his head. His it looks like his neck. Hold on, back the video up. I don't care. I just want to see the picture of the guy. Okay. I mean, it goes around his neck, his chest, his arms, his belly, his hands.
Speaker 2: They duct tape the knees and his feet. And he's zip tied to the wall.
Speaker 1: I mean, he must have been completely out of control. Arthur Lundine of Arizona arrested in Maryland. Um, and I guess the passengers taped him to a season.
Speaker 4: Yeah, one was a retired cop.
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a 67-year-old man. All right.
Speaker 2: It took two or three of them to hold him down and tape him. Hold on. That's right.
Speaker 1: So let's see here. He was shouting racial and homophobic slurs, and then he started fighting with the flight attendants. Um, so there's the guy who's the cop you were talking about, and he's like, you know, you don't settle down, I'm gonna have to get involved. And then he did. I I mean, he's like, I didn't cover his eyes or airways, every other part of them.
Speaker 2: And sat on him because the duct tape wasn't doing the job.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it reminds me of those pictures of when you see somebody get duct taped to a wall. Yeah.
Speaker 2: Like when they duct tape Stevo to a billboard.
Speaker 1: I mean, but if if he was screaming a bunch of you know racist stuff, why didn't they duct tape his mouth? Because he can still sit there and yell his racist crap.
Speaker 2: Maybe they needed some kind of entertainment. I don't know. I guess. Or just wanted more.
Speaker 1: Oh, do they have video of him actually getting duct taped? The the post photo when he's just sitting there and he's got this look on his face, like Flying it's got a sun.
Speaker 2: Flying was a bad idea today. I forgot my fart underwear.
Speaker 1: All right, this is sort of a sensitive topic, so I'm gonna try to work around it in the best way I can. Over the weekend, I made a post in the uh Radio Peeps group. Radio peeps is a group for radio people, okay. And pretty much any time I post in there, I end up in an argument with people because you you've heard me talk about radio, it's got problems. There's a lot of stupid things that go on in radio.
Like earlier, you know, kick off this hour. I played two songs in a row from oh female fronted bands. Oh no. Okay, so anyway, over the weekend I posted why are some of y'all still playing 30 seconds to Mars on your radio stations. If you're unaware, within the last month, a documentary dropped on the BBC about Jared Leto, Jared Leto, however, you say his name. Uh, with a lot of very disturbing allegations, and this isn't the first time I've read disturbing allegations about Jared Leto. These stories go back ears and ears, and they interviewed tons of people for this documentary that had tons of pretty disturbing allegations about him doing you know, bad things to women, all right.
So, me being someone who respects women and doesn't just immediately go, well, if he hasn't been thrown in jail for it, but I don't believe it. Um, I took the very few 30 seconds tomorrow songs that were in our system and uh put them on hold. All right, no 30 seconds to Mars on K-Bear right now, no 30 seconds to Mars on Cannonball, and there better not be any on any of our other stations in the building. Because to me, as a radio person, that would show that you don't care about these kind of allegations, and are we really missing out if we don't play the kill? I mean, isn't that the only song people give a crap about from that band anyway? So, same thing happened years ago with Marilyn Manson, who is still going through uh you know, chord proceedings with allegations against him, okay.
I took Marilyn Manson out of the system out of respect for potential victims, all right. If you look at uh what's currently going on in politics, there have been a number of politicians who during the current uh midterm races have been accused of some bad things. Most of them dropped out of the race. You know, they didn't go to court, they didn't go through a bunch of uh proceedings and this and that. The allegations came out and they stepped aside. All right, give victims a chance to get their stories out there, and don't just doubt them because, all right.
You weren't there, you don't know. Saw another local guy make a post about this over the weekend, saying that he'd been told, you know, by multiple people to keep an eye out for certain guys in the community, all right. There are bad people everywhere, and there are bad dudes everywhere who do bad things to women. And if you know any women who have been, you know, abused physically or mentally, it's very traumatizing for them. It's very scary for them, and sometimes it takes them a long time to get up the courage to actually talk about it. And every team because I've known multiple people, friends and family, who I know for a fact, for a fact, have been through physical and mental abuse from men. And every single time when they said something about it, you gotta hand, you know, you got people that come out of the woodwork to defend this person.
There's no way they do that. I known them for a long time. They're my friend, I like them. They'd never do that. And then they start attacking the victim. And when you know, when you know for a fact that these things have happened, you just want to punch them in the face and be like, shut up, all right. Stop defending abusers just because you like them. You don't know what goes on behind closed doors, you don't really know anybody, all right. So stay in your lane.
If you weren't there, shut up, all right. Now, I'm not saying that false accusations never happen, but I have every time I've seen a woman brave enough to come out and talk about her abuser, there are plenty of people that will jump to that abuser's defense just because they like them. All right, just because you like somebody doesn't mean they're not human garbage, okay? All right, I've had to cast many a friend out of my life because I discovered this person is a piece of crap, all right? And I liked them for a long, long time.
But you know what? If you even hang out with people who are mentally abusive to women, if you're a guy and you're one of your buddies, is mentally abusive to women, physically abusive to women, if you're or if you're a woman, same deal. If you're a person and you hang out with an abusive person and give them a pass just because you like them, you need to rethink your life a little bit, okay? Because that's basically the same as saying their behavior was okay, all right. So, yeah, with Jared Leto with Marilyn Manson, no one's been thrown in jail yet. But out of respect for potential victims, I can go without playing the beautiful people. You want to listen to it on your own?
Fine. But I think if you're a radio station, what you think we're playing uh Kanye West over on Z? You think we're playing that D4VD, whatever guy deformed it, he hasn't been thrown in jail.
David, whatever his name is. Have some respect for people and just play a different song, you know. If you have like one listener who gets traumatized by hearing a certain thing, you shouldn't play it, all right. Stop being a dirt bag, just get it together. Well, should we do a little cue the outrage?
Speaker 2: Now might be a really good time for you to get angry. That's my secret, Kat. I'm always angry.
Speaker 1: All right, there's an upcoming movie coming out that I've talked about before because I'm excited about it, and that would be the new Resident Evil movie directed by Zach Krager, who also directed two of the best horror movies of the last five years, Barbarian and Weapons. Zach Krager's track record for making good horror is about as good as it gets for a director who's only put out a couple movies. Both of those movies, top notch.
If you've never seen either one of them, weapons or barbarian, there you go. That's what you should do tonight. Watch one of those movies. So anyway, uh, he's directing or has directed, and it's coming out, I think next weekend, a new Resident Evil movie. Now, there have been a ton of Resident Evil movies.
Most of them, well, they pretty much suck. You know, I'm a fan of Resident Evil. Uh the last three Resident Evil games, I would say are some of my favorite games of all time. All they need to do is put uh the new Resident Evil into VR.
That would make my day. Disappointed that I couldn't play it in VR. But it was still really good Resident Evil Requiem. So this new Resident Evil movie, Zack Krager, he he kind of tried to create a new story, but it's still within the Resident Evil world. The movie is not out. Okay, I want to remind everybody the movie is not out. So no one has seen it. But the comments uh Zach Krager says he feels like right now he is on an apology tour while promoting the movie, just trying to prove that he's actually a fan of the series, because gamers are calling him out based on the trailers they've seen and what they've read, and like he has no respect for the lore and the story of Resident Evil. This movie's gonna be garbage.
It's Zach Krager, everybody. All right, give him a chance. If you've seen the movie and you didn't like it, then you've got fair game to go. I didn't like the movie, but it's not out. So why give an opinion on something that you haven't experienced? It's like any of the criticism coming out about Grand Theft Auto 6.
The game isn't out. Uh, people complaining about the main character, Jason. I don't like him. He's giving me vibe. I don't like how he talks.
Uh, I don't like how his girlfriend seems tough. You haven't played the game. When Resident or when Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out, and no one had played it, and they all knew they were playing as a new character, Arthur Morgan. They're like, I don't like this guy. I don't like the vibes he puts out. I want to be John Marston, I don't like this. And now I mean Arthur Morgan's probably the most beloved protagonist in a video game ever.
I mean, who do people like more than Arthur Morgan? Mario? Mario punches Yoshi. Look at Mario Brothers 3 or Mario World, I should say, not three. Look at Super Mario World. You know how Mario gets Yoshi to stick his tongue out and eat you know the enemies. He punches him.
Look it up online. He just give them a good smack. And then Yoshi's like, blech!
yeah. Mario abusive. I mean, Arthur Arthur Morgan's not a good dude.
He is a bad guy. But still, still, people thought it was oh, it's gonna be terrible. And now everybody loves Arthur Morgan.
I bet it'll be the same with Jason in Grand Theft Auto 6. And people are mad about oh, they're making it the game too realistic. You haven't played it, so shut up. You haven't seen the new Resident Evil movie, so shut up. I mean, what's coming in the future that I can cast my judgment on that I have no idea about?
Man, the internet's crazy. So anyway, I'm pumped to check out the new Resident Evil movie. One, I probably wouldn't have gone and seen it had it not been directed by Zack Krager. If it was just another Resident Evil movie, I'd be like, it's gonna be crap. I'm not going. But that name for the director being attached to it.
I'm like, all right, he's he's done no wrong so far. I will definitely give it a shot and support it in theaters. Um Anyway, I I thought it was already out because they were like, it's gonna make a hundred million dollars in its first weekend, but from what I can see, it's not out yet. So I don't know. You know how confusing the internet can be.
Gotta do a lot of research to find out the truth. All right. I'm gonna go uh fuel up on water, and I'll be back, okay? Hang on. Can I complain about something? Come on.
You know, I mean I I don't complain very often. No, I was at uh Winco the other day, and they've got this new AI floor cleaner. It's like robot. Out Get out of my way, robot cleaner. Um I'm just waiting for the day that these robot cleaners just like mow down small child or something. This thing was definitely having a trouble navigating, a little bit of trouble navigating the crowds of Winco.
Um if you have a store that's that packed, you probably until the technology is a little bit better, gotta keep them robots out of there. The thing was just getting in my way. I was all crranky, didn't want to be at the store. It's bad enough the the crowds being in your way. Now you gotta deal with this, you know oversized. Oh, I I had a good analogy for what it looked like, but it it's a robot floor cleaner.
All right. Can Winco please put in a second location somewhere in Idaho Falls? If we can have two Walmarts, I think we could have two Winco's.
That'd be great. We've got two Broolums, right? We got two Albertsons. We got two everything except Winco. And Winco is the grocery store closest to my house. So it sucks not being able to go there any time of the day or night, and it's not just packed to the brim with people, and then they keep changing all the rules.
No, I don't know. I just was like, robots taking people's jobs. I never had a problem with the floor cleaners who were people, didn't almost get run over by a floor cleaner that was run by a human being. Yeah, you know, I'm I'm all down for you know us improving technology, but I didn't like the robot vacuum.
It was weird though. Well, hopefully I don't have to go to Winco today. Uh my apologies to Becca for the other day when I I'm pretty much through a tantrum about being at Winco. Um you know, I I was a little uh on edge this weekend, and sometimes the general public I just don't need to be around them. But hey, I'm feeling a lot more chipper today, okay, than I have in a few days. So if I yelled at the robot vacuum, which I don't believe I did, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry, because I don't know if the robot vacuum is AI and has feelings. I don't know. If you are super active on social media, like I tend to be, even though I don't know why, because it's just making me dumber to sit there and scroll through all of the useless garbage on social media.
I could be reading a book, I could be enhancing my brain power. No. I'm gonna scroll Facebook and see if I can find somewhere to start a debate with somebody. I don't know why I do it. You never get anywhere with it, but I I got accused of uh posting an AI and or Photoshopped picture. I don't even know what post I commented on. It was somebody, because for whatever reason, there are people on the internet who will say things that like everybody knows aren't true, but they state them as fact, and I'm just like, are you trolling? Are you just trying to get reactions out of idiots like me who can't help but comment?
But it was somebody just talking about how everything's getting cheaper, and that one irked me a bit because I went to, like I mentioned earlier on the show, Winco a couple times this weekend. I posted a picture I took of a roll of Reynolds wrap. Plain old Reynolds wrap.
Okay, it wasn't the heavy duty. I think it was 200 feet. You know, just a standard roll of Reynolds wrap aluminum foil, and this is at Winco, which is the cheapest store in town. $15. It was over 15. I don't know, it was 15 something. $15. Last time I checked Reynolds wrap and had my mind blown. It was a couple weeks ago.
It was 13 something. So I didn't even say anything, but on their comment about how gas is, you know, getting cheap. Even though we just had the most expensive gas for Labor Day weekend in the history of Labor Day. Um, I just posted the picture of the $15 Reynolds rap. Okay. Because I was gonna make a snarky post. I think I also posted it elsewhere. It's a good, you know, you don't have to say anything uh, you know, response to anybody who's living in this fantasy world where stuff is cheap.
I'd love to know where they live. But that's AI. It's like, no, I took that today at Winco.
It is not AI. Walk in there and go to the Reynolds rap and look at it. Uh I also checked on the beef prices. I guess we still gotta wait for the the mystery meat to show up. Yeah, because we don't know where it's coming from. Uh there are some videos on YouTube, however, for those of you who are looking to ensure that you're purchasing American beef.
There are some videos on YouTube that will show you how you can tell. Because as with everything, the packaging business is a little bit shady. Like, you could have a bunch of beef shipped from who knows where into the US, and then if it gets packaged here, they could put like uh see, I I can't remember the specific wording, but with legalese, you can put things like, and again, don't quote me on this, because I I don't remember the proper phrases, but it would be like I mean, obviously, packaged in America or like product of America. I don't remember exactly what wording, but there are YouTube videos out there that will show you and you know, articles online how to ensure you're buying American beef, in case you were wondering. Uh, because I know that's uh important to a lot of people right now to try to support our local ranchers, um, and uh, you know, American goods.
So you might check that out. But yeah, uh I did not buy any uh any beef. Actually, no, okay, I lied.
I lied. I did buy a pre-made meal that was like berea taco meat, so it was you know, uh seasoned beef that was just all shredded and blah blah blah. It was cheaper to buy that, and it was a one-pound package, than it would have been to buy like beef and taco mix.
So uh keep that in mind. It might be time to just buy the pre-made foods, which is crazy. Those used to always be, you know, the the the lazy spend um that you spent a little bit extra because you just didn't want to cook. Well, now you can be lazy. It's not gonna save you much money, but be as lazy as you can. That's what I say. If you can take advantage of some laziness, go ahead and do it. But uh, yeah, um, not a good time to buy Reynolds rap. Make sure you buy the generic brand. What is happening, peaches?
Speaker 2: While we were sitting here listening to that uh disturbed cover, I pulled up Facebook and I saw Wiz Khalifa was giving a best man speech at a wedding, and he did exactly what you hate, and that is read the entire thing off of his phone. Well, at least he had it written.
Speaker 1: You know, at least he didn't get up and just babble on endlessly.
Speaker 2: But if you have a famous person at your wedding, I would say just let them.
Speaker 1: I wouldn't, because they might just babble on endlessly.
Speaker 2: Oh, you should try to at least get one famous person to show up to your wedding. I I feel like that's that's the goal for me at least, too. Hmm.
Speaker 1: As long as they don't get up and babble on endlessly.
Speaker 2: I want them to be like, look at this, I got a famous friend. You know? Jeez. Look at me flexing on you poor people.
Speaker 1: Like I got put in charge of doing the um, what do they call it? The when you tell us about somebody's life at a funeral.
Speaker 2: Um, the celebration of life.
Speaker 1: No, that's a type of celebration. The life sketch, maybe? Okay. Anyway, for both of my parents, I got put in charge of doing that.
Speaker 2: Well, you're one of three, and you're also the most charismatic out of the three. Uh That's right.
Speaker 1: No offense to uh, I got a lot of crazy. Jacob Amanda, but you know. So, you know, I wrote them out and I tried to throw in some funny, you know, tried to make it as entertaining and uh positive and all that as you can be when you're doing that kind of thing at a funeral. Because funerals are always like a downer. They suck, everyone's all sad.
Speaker 2: Right, I hate going to them. I've been to more funerals than weddings. Absolutely.
Speaker 1: Got a bunch of crappy music playing that's all sad. Right.
Speaker 2: So what if it's like from their childhood? You're just like, boy, did they was their music taste awful? I'm glad they're gone. YEAH.
Speaker 1: Most funerals, crappy music.
Speaker 2: So it's always sad music too to like really make it bad.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, dude, for sure. Like at my funeral, I want it to be all songs that are just gonna make people uncomfortable. You know. You know all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2: Burn MF from Five Finger Death Punch. Yeah. you know, just The ghost song. Don't you forget about dying. Don't you forget about Joe Friend Death. Don't you forget that you will die. You know, songs like that.
That's what I'd want to play. But uh, okay, so I went to this one wedding, or no, it was a funeral, and the guy got up to do the life sketch, and he didn't have it written out. Guaranteed he babbled for at least an hour.
At least an hour. It went all over the place. There, you know, it wasn't a this guy was not a storyteller. All right. Some people are natural storytellers and they can get up and wing it. Absolutely. This guy, no. How did Wiz Khalifa do?
Speaker 2: I'm assuming I didn't watch the full thing. I just saw him do that laugh that he usually does. And he's he has a blunt in the other hand, too.
Speaker 1: Oh, does it?
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, of course, of course he does. All right. And we'll whatever. Um, well, I'm gonna get uh let's see, since people have been getting married been getting married at funeral homes. I want to have my funeral at a wedding venue. But what would be worse? Somebody's staring at their phone, or they're doing this.
Speaker 1: All right, my dad! He was a good man. They got this piece of paper making all this racket because nobody knows how to use a microphone right. Or else, you know, they got the microphone, Peaches.
I I'm sure you've seen the ones at the little podium, and they stick up in like this, and rather than going, hmm, adjusted up so they're like back here. All right, everybody. I should have recorded you doing this. I want to tell you about my my mom. She was a great woman. What are you saying? We can't hear you. Oh, here I'll move a little closer to the microphone.
Speaker 2: They're still not they're still not close.
Speaker 1: Is that better? All right. Can you hear me now? No, all I can hear you is rustling that piece of paper. Jeez, get it together. Sorry.
Speaker 2: Oh, they get really nervous too, and they start having like that nervous twitch. Oh, yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Don't get somebody who's not a good public speaker up to do your uh life sketch. Or, okay, back to weddings. If someone needs to give a speech, you better have it planned.
Speaker 2: Dude, I'm gonna hire a Trump impersonator for your funeral. Just have them do this whole lawn speech. Oh, geez. But I was a massive fan.
Speaker 1: Going back to somebody who just babbles on with you know, and it doesn't go any clear direction. Please, teleprompter. Get these people a teleprompter. No winging it. Politicians should not be allowed to wing it. I've I've had it. What was the point of this break? Just whiz Khalifa reading off the phone? That was it. Oh, okay.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I did the because I I I'm officiating a wedding next year.
Speaker 1: Peaches, please. I'm officiating the whole thing. Well, put it, put your phone on the little podium so people don't know it's a phone. But don't you just stand there?
Speaker 2: Like there's no podium. Like you just stand between like you stand behind the couple. Right?
Speaker 1: You can do whatever you want.
Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna need a tall archway, aren't we?
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no rules at a at a wedding. So you you can kind of do whatever you want. Read it off your phone at their wedding, too. Bring a bring an iPad.
Speaker 2: I think really big things. told me The groom is it the groom? Yeah, the groom told me to show up in cargo shorts and a band t-shirt. But then of course, the bride. No, not at all.
Speaker 1: Why can't you just dress comfortably at a wedding? You don't have to dress up to go to a wedding. Well, you're officiating. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I mean, I guess I gotta be extra. But if you get a top hat and a monocle.
Speaker 1: If someone was officiating my wedding, sure. Rock t-shirt, uh just fine. All right. Probably make me nervous if you're up there all dressed up. I don't trust the suits. All right.
Speaker 2: I wouldn't trust a guy showing up to a wedding either with a giant jacket on and some shorts. I'd be kind of concerned.
Speaker 1: Well, today's show, uh, I I think it went pretty decent for a Monday. And uh hopefully the noon hour of madness in Mayhem goes pretty good as well, Peaches.
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, telling me that. You do I'm not doing it by myself.
Speaker 1: I know I'm leaving. I'm out of here. Get it together.
Speaker 2: I know you did the noon hour all by yourself last week.
Speaker 1: I was so busy that like the the multitasking, I didn't have time for the farting around it takes sometimes to do the noon hour with somebody else. I tuned in. Oh, you tuned in.
Speaker 2: I I I realized there's a time difference because I tried tuning in right at noon. It was, oh, it's already over.
Speaker 1: Ah, yeah. I mean, it they weren't my greatest noon hour shows ever. The they were okay though. They're okay. I tried to at least do content, even though the breaks were kind of short. But uh, and then I think I for like just spaced the noon hour on uh Fair Food Day, and then Friday I just said screw the noon hour. The best day of the week. Screw it. Well, Friday was a a little bit hectic too. You know how Fridays are, and it was a early release day. Oh, right. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2: So wow. I used to hate those days.
Speaker 1: You did used to hate those days. And I always thought it was crazy because I'm like, why on earth would you want to go back to work?
Speaker 2: Because I wouldn't do anything outside of here. I mean, I'm not doing anything now, but I'm learning to like it.
Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. Like the minute I could get out of here, the bosses ordered pizza and everything, and they're like, you're not gonna stay and eat pizza.
Speaker 2: I saw that email was like really the day after the fair food. You you bring pizza to the office.
Speaker 1: I was I was still, you know, recovering from fair food, but I also and my stomach was kind of messed up. I could leave early. It's a Friday, three-day weekend. I was like, thanks for the pizza, but I think I don't think I will like that meme. I left. Well, anyway, Peaches and I will be back at noon.
