With the nation heading to the ballot box yesterday, it is the Labour Party that has emerged victorious in the 2024 General Election.

As the events of the last 24 hours settled, and the nation digested the news of the new government, outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced that he will be stepping down as leader of the Conservative Party.

In his resignation speech outside Number 10 Downing Street, Sunak spoke of how the party needs to rebuild

The Local Government Association has also confirmed that it has selected its new Chair.
