What is going on, everybody?

Welcome to the CloudZone Media Roundtable.

It's the Scott and Amy show,

or the Amy and Scott show,

as she likes to call it.

Amy and Fink was the first

one in the chat.

I saw.

I was like, it's a race, and he won.

He did.

He won by a landslide.

Yeah.

By a landslide.

By a landslide.

Charlie's supposed to pop on at some point,

I know.

Oh, cool.

Yeah.

So I got exciting things

going on this weekend.

Okay, let's hear it.

I'm going to the U S Olympic

swimming trials.

With who?

With my mom.

Oh, cool.

That's her mother's day birthday gift.

Where is it?

Indianapolis.

Oh, fun.

So they,

they built a pool in the football

stadium.

Stop it.

Yeah.

They're trying to set the

record for the biggest

crowd ever for a swimming event.

And I think the first day is

close to selling out.

And that's when we're going to be there.

And I saw the schedule today.

Katie Ledecky will be

swimming both the prelims

in the morning and the

finals at night to try to

make her fourth Olympic Games.

So...

that will be super cool uh

that we'll get to see that

in the freestyle yeah that

in indianapolis is fun I've

heard like I haven't been

for a long time like as an

adult but yeah well I think

like the whole town is

pretty much geared up for

this one event right so

like they've shut down one

of the streets uh lovely

the band is going to be

playing a concert like in

the streets for free

they're going to have uh

They're calling it swim up bars,

but it's on land.

Yeah.

In the street area.

And then the convention

center is like all

activations where you can

go like meet some of the Olympians,

some of the people competing,

different things like that.

And so like the whole town

is like surrounding this one event.

Yeah, sure.

So it should be fun.

Ooh.

Yeah.

So super excited about that.

Yeah, that will be a good time.

Were you at some lake this past weekend?

Were you at Kelly's Island or Lake Erie?

No.

Okay, Alum Creek.

I was just wondering where the water was.

That was all.

It was such a beautiful weekend.

It was.

We actually took Walter up to the dog park,

and it's right on the lake.

Oh, yeah.

Do you ever go to the swimming one?

We do,

but there were way too many big dogs

to take him down there this weekend,

so...

Um, but he loves the water.

Like, like that's where he wants to be.

Yeah.

Um, we just couldn't, it just,

it was packed.

Yeah.

That's where we,

it's not my favorite place

to take Murph swimming,

but it is the closest, like easiest,

but I love that,

that the dog park in general,

I just have favorite

swimming spot for him.

Yeah, yeah.

Most of the time we forget

to take towels anyway,

so that's why we don't go.

At least he's little.

I mean,

you could wrap him up in a T-shirt

or something if you had to.

Yeah, I guess.

Yeah.

But yeah,

the whole thing was packed this

weekend because it was 75, sunny,

nice breeze.

It couldn't be any more

perfect than it was this weekend.

Yeah.

I've had my air off for like a week.

Like just, yeah.

Well, I have some news on the Murph front.

The good news is Murph does

not have cancer.

I didn't even know that was a question.

well you know I

catastrophically go you

know think the worst things

possible right so you do I

do right that's just part

of who I am that's part of

my anxiety so um murph

loves to hike and will

never say no to any kind of

distance loves to go for

walks but I'll notice

sometimes he kind of has like a

limp or like you know a

little bit in his giddy up

and so I could I can feel

actually like a nodule

underneath his shoulder

blade and so and my mind

was like yep he's he's got

cancer he's gonna die um

like I'm so sad all this

stuff is happening and now

I knew I knew I was going

catastrophic that's that's

the at least the bonus part

is that I know when my

brain does doing this

But anyways,

he had just a regular checkup

and I brought it up and I was like,

I'm hoping you're going to

tell me it's a lipoma,

which is just a fatty

tissue and that it's not

going to affect his quality of life.

You know,

I just want to make sure I'm not

like overdoing it because

he'll never tell me now.

And so they put a needle in and checked,

checked it out and it's a lipoma.

So there you go.

He got an A plus from the vet yesterday.

So

You go locally or?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Healthy Pets.

My, well, Charlie,

I'm surprised he's not on

here because I love to go

to our vet's office because

there is a very handsome

vet that works there.

I remember that story now.

When I texted Charlie, I said,

A plus from the vet.

And he goes, okay, but what about Murph?

Yeah.

We go up to green Meadows.

Yeah.

Our two houses.

And it's,

it's an old farmer doctor that like it,

the funniest thing is his

name is Dr. Frost.

And Julie always is like,

are you going to take

Walter up to Dr. Snow or

Christmas or like she,

every version of cold

something other than Dr. Frost.

Yeah.

Oh, my God.

Looks like Kat says that she says, hey,

friends,

just taking Els out to lunch for

her 19th birthday.

That's pretty cool.

Happy birthday, Els.

Kat's going viral.

She's getting too big for us.

You know why I think it

happened is because anytime

you post like something

that doesn't give away what

you're talking about,

that's going to get a bunch

of views because then people are like,

well, what is she talking about?

I have to go look.

Yeah, but it has like a ton of shares.

Yeah.

Like it,

Like I was saying in text last night,

we have a reel that I think

is really funny,

and it gets three likes and no shares.

And then something that I think, well,

I'll just put that up for a space saver,

gets 1.4 million views.

Right.

She shared, it was a TikTok that she made.

It was something about yesterday's Wordle.

And she said, hey,

New York Times people or

people who participate in that,

did anybody else have to

look up what that word was?

And I don't even know what the word was.

Maybe she can post it on here.

But so that's all she said.

And yeah, it's just gone.

Yeah, I think the first thing was,

is it a word?

Is this really a word?

Okay, yeah.

And then, of course,

I then looked it up because

I needed to know.

Okay.

Well, what is it?

So it was the word manga.

Okay.

Oh, yeah.

Is it like a Japanese drawing?

Yep.

Yep.

Okay.

So I knew that.

That is amazing that I knew that.

Yeah,

but it was approaching like 100,000

views or something last night.

Close to 80K.

Yeah.

Yeah.

That's crazy.

I knew what that was because

my kids are really into

anime for a while.

And my daughter would do a

lot of drawing and we would

get books that was was manga drawing.

So Andrew Sten missed that wordle.

Total crap.

Yeah, I I stopped playing like, man,

two years ago, maybe.

I just, I hated, I wanted to play more.

I, if I'm playing a game,

like I don't want it to be over.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And then you can't play

again until tomorrow.

Yeah, I get that.

So that, that was weird.

But speaking of anime,

I've only ever watched one

anime show and it's been

within the last two months.

Okay.

What was it?

It was a Scott Pilgrim's sequel.

Oh, okay.

It was done anime style on Netflix.

Okay.

Yeah.

and they brought the

original cast back to do all the voices.

Um,

and if you've never seen Scott Pilgrim

versus the world,

there's a ton of stars in

it where they broke huge.

Um, and it was awesome.

It was, it was so good.

You forget it's a cartoon.

Yeah, that's good.

But yeah, I binge watched it.

It was only like six or seven episodes.

And so I just binge watched

it really fast and,

Yeah, but I,

Corey and I used to love that

movie and Julie hated it.

Hated it.

And so whenever like she was

away that we would watch that movie.

Yeah.

So it has a nice sentimental meaning too.

Oh, cute.

So anything going on this week?

Well, today's my hubby's birthday.

So thus the hair got washed.

You know,

it was a hair washing day and I

timed that up pretty good.

So that's a bonus.

But it's, you know,

tied with Father's Day.

So we got Scott a new set of

clubs because the last set

of golf clubs that he had

was from 25 years ago.

And so, you know, we thought technology's,

you know, upgraded.

Maybe we should upgrade some of these.

So the kids and I got him a

new set of golf clubs.

And then we went out Sunday to go

try them out.

And so we went and we got a

jumbo basket of golf balls to hit.

And listen, I made a lot of improvements.

I want you to know that.

But it is so hard for me to

not want to take that like

a baseball bat swing.

Like I'm just used to that kind of swing.

And so every time I would get up there,

I would, you know, I had a good grip on

on the golf ball.

But then my,

my back screen swing is just too far.

And then I just stopped my follow through.

Does your husband CrossFit?

He does.

Complicated.

Reluctantly.

Yeah.

He does.

There was a time where he

would do a lot of

competitions that he didn't

even know he was signed up for.

Yeah, that's true there.

That did happen that I know

better than that now,

but he's even going to the gym tonight.

So

There you go.

I'm surprised he didn't use

that as an excuse, to be honest with you.

So did you just go to like a

regular driving range?

Yeah, we just went to Westerville.

Yeah.

And, but it was fun.

I did.

Yeah.

I made a lot of improvements, but on that,

I cannot just do the follow through.

Like, I don't know what it is,

but I literally stopped

myself every time.

The last time I've swung a

golf club would have been

Aaron Heath's 50th birthday.

Well, Topgolf is a fun place.

But see, I don't... This is going to sound,

of course, inappropriate for me.

Listen,

I just want to whack that ball as

hard as I can.

I don't even care if I'm aiming it.

I just want to see how far it will go.

Because Scott will be like, well,

where are you aiming?

And I'm like, I don't know.

I don't care.

You're just all about whacking the ball.

Whack it.

Yeah, I that day,

it was like every third one

I could hit the back net.

Yeah.

And there was no aiming to it at all.

It was just rip it rip.

Yeah, it's such a technical,

such a technical game.

But when I was in college,

I used to play like four times a week.

Yeah.

And I was decent.

I would never say good.

And then,

and then I really just haven't

played enough to stay

consistent for the years.

And now like my club, I don't,

my clubs haven't been out

of my basement in 10 years.

I would did,

I did that one shred outing a while back,

but.

Thank God that was like a best ball.

And I,

I only needed to make at least one

or two good shots.

Yeah.

Every couple of holes to,

to just do my part, but yeah.

So, yeah, so that's kinda, that was,

so tonight we're just

probably gonna grill some

steaks and hang out at home and,

but I'll tell you what this, um,

I've been,

I think I've been sore for two

weeks straight or not just

like my body is just smoked

from the programming.

Still, wait.

Oh.

I need Topgolf explained to me.

Each game, Angry Birds is the best.

You know, we tried to play,

but the system was,

when we went this one time, Damien,

it was very new.

Our Topgolf was, like, just built.

Yeah.

And the screen in the pit I

was in kept going down.

Okay.

Get like halfway through a

game and it would like shut off.

So good.

Just got to be like,

just grip it and rip it.

See how far you can hit it.

Yeah.

That's just like,

sometimes when I go bowling, like, listen,

I'm just trying to just get

it down there and see the

speed of the ball that I put down there.

That's kind of your MO anyway.

I know.

Yeah.

um I heard you so you the

mayhem programming is

making you sore but

apparently it's building

your back muscles okay

charlie and I are not

fighting he did give me a

compliment so that yeah I

was what was I doing the

front squats this week

three rounds this was just

for the strength uh 10 front squats

At 65%.

That's a lot.

That's cardio.

It is cardio.

That's the worst part of it.

That percentage is high for

that number of reps.

Amy, I'm on my phone.

It's a pink tank top.

You look like you're shirtless.

It is a dusty rose tank top.

I think that's probably blending in.

um I don't even oh 10 so

it's 10 front squats so

anyways I'm doing my front

squats and charlie listen

charlie does the class at 6

15. i was working out 7 30.

he sticks around and just

talks and to to people and

all that so I was doing my

my front squats you know I

do my 10 reps and I put

down he goes oh look at

that look at those back

muscles and just like that

we weren't fighting anymore

Jodi,

we need to get those likes and

subscribes.

That's the key.

And if you haven't done so already,

hit that like button.

It's free.

Hit the subscribe button.

Hit the notifier.

Because we've got some good

shows coming up.

Yeah, we do.

You want to announce it?

Thursday, we have a doubleheader.

Alex?

12 o'clock noon Eastern time.

Alex Kazan.

Right into... Probably take

like a five-minute...

And then right into James

Sprague at 1 p.m.

Eastern time.

So hit that notifier so you

know when those shows start.

You can jump in, hang out.

First time James Sprague has

been on the show by himself.

So super excited about that.

How old is he?

Is he like 20?

He and Dallin are the same age, so like 21,

22.

Okay.

Yeah.

Cause I'm pretty sure the

first time I met James,

like out at the games,

but just walking around, like, I was like,

I think he's a teenager.

Like, I think when I met him,

I remember him being a teenager.

The first time I met him was at the games,

probably the same time you did.

Yeah.

And he was talking to decks a lot.

He was, uh,

he was there supporting Emma Carey.

Okay.

And I don't think Dallin

made it that year either.

I think they were just there

supporting Emma because

they were all with brute at the time.

Right.

and uh and he would like run

down to the the barricade

or whatever and just yell

at emma over and over again

it was really it was really

cool to see the support

they were giving each other

at that time yeah um I do

have one crossfit question

for you yes or not so

patrick clark did an

interview with dave castro

backstage at syndicate

crown okay and during that interview

Dave said that he didn't

like the format of the

semifinals the way it was.

He didn't like that it

qualified 10 people.

It seemed anticlimactic.

And that the low crowd at

West Coast made them want

to reconsider maybe what they do.

And that he thinks they got

away from the regional

aspect of that level of the games.

like that gyms didn't pack

up and go support their athletes anymore.

So they are either going to

tweak what they have or

they have some ideas for

radical changes for what's to come.

Any thoughts on what that

should be or what that could be?

Well,

I guess I'm most comfortable with the

regional aspect because we

know what that looks like and we know

Like, we've implemented that before,

and that's the known.

So, of course, to me,

that's the more comfortable position.

More of the radical change, while,

you know,

I think radical change is good

for the growth of the sport,

it also leaves room for a

lot of error and

frustration if it's not done, you know,

in a clearly communicated way.

But I couldn't articulate to

you what those changes would look like.

I don't even know what a

radical change means.

Yeah,

like every avenue I go down just

seems to have so many flaws

with it that it's not as

good as what we have.

I think the problem is the

allocation of spots for the games.

Yeah, sure.

That's the bigger problem.

no matter what you do

semifinals are going to the

drama is going to be at the

cut line not at who wins it

because it's just the phase

to move on right so whether

you take five people or 10

people or 20 people the

drama is at the cut line

the other issue I have is

there are so many camps in the east

Right?

You have TTT.

You have AM.

You have HWPO.

Proven.

They're all in the East.

So the East is just

stockpiled with talent.

And there's no way to

distribute them and keep

the regional format.

But I mean...

Don't you remember in the back of the day,

like central east was one

of the stacked regionals, right?

It was.

Yeah.

So, I mean,

I think that that is a part of

a part of that.

And I get what you're saying too.

Like, yeah,

it is kind of anticlimactic

that you're like, okay, great.

This is a stacked field,

but 11 people are making it through.

Like that's, you know, like it's,

it is just down to the few people.

And then it is, you know, that like, oh no,

are they going to make it through?

Or, you know,

which is more of the viewer

experience versus which

athletes are making it through.

So I don't know.

Damien says,

make it like American Ninja

Warrior where you have to

sell your personality and skills.

I know this is a joke,

but what American Warrior

does so beautifully is tell

the stories of all of their athletes.

That you want them to

succeed because their wife

has cancer or their wife

has MS or their kid is on

the spectrum or one of those things.

And then you want them to succeed.

So you root for that individual.

CrossFit stopped telling those stories.

And so we don't get those

unless you're one of the top three.

Yeah.

And so, well, I thought,

I think you were trying to joke with us.

It actually is a great

marketing plan that

CrossFit needs to kind of lean into.

Yeah.

Mayhem will or can dominate

men's East for many years.

You know, sure.

They just dominate by sheer numbers.

Right?

They have two formats.

You can come to Cookville

and you can work out there.

You can do it remote and

just come into camps.

But they just have so many athletes.

Like,

they had more athletes qualify for

the games than some camps

even have athletes.

Correct.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So, you know,

I've become really close with

Jamie's coach and Kelly

Baker's coach and Hattie Cano's coach,

and that's Tristan Patrick.

Like,

he doesn't want more than a couple

athletes.

It's beyond his bandwidth to

have more than a couple.

And he would rather give

that more boutique style of

coaching than the mass

style of coaching like Mayhem does.

So it's hard to compare camp to camp.

Yeah, I do think that.

But I do think that, like we were saying,

though, that certain regions,

certain areas are going to

be more stacked because of

that type of thing, though.

Because you've got the

numbers over here of the athletes.

And, yeah.

Yeah.

And, I mean,

the East almost needs two

semifinals themselves, right?

Yeah, sure.

That's what I was thinking

about when you were saying,

Dave was saying,

changing the format to be

more regional-esque.

Then, yeah,

we need to have more so that

you're breaking that up.

It's not necessarily, you know,

like we had, I don't know,

what did we have?

Central East.

Then it became Central, right?

Right.

Okay.

Yeah.

So it was like from Ohio to

the upper Midwest.

And then there was the Atlantic.

Yeah.

Um, which was,

I think just the East it became,

and that was pretty much

Florida all the way up to Canada.

But like Pat Vellner just

moved to the East.

Yeah.

It's not even getting thinner.

It's getting heavier with,

where did he move though?

What's that?

Where did he move?

Um, I don't know the exact location.

I just know he moved.

Okay.

Um, his wife was from Western Canada.

Okay.

Eastern Canada.

Okay.

And where they live,

they didn't have a lot of

support family and yeah.

Help out with the kids and

all that kind of stuff.

And I think she's like a doctor, right?

Like, I don't know.

I don't have that information.

um and so they were moving

closer to family got it uh

in the east uh to be able

to help out with kids um

and I think just to get to

just to be around family

more yeah for sure yeah

especially because at some

point I hope it's not soon

but at some point he is

going to retire right right

from competing and will need to

you know,

maybe make a different career

decision and for, to support and provide.

So we've been talking about mayhem.

I have a question for you.

Yeah.

You've been doing,

you've been doing mayhem for a while now.

Do you feel fitter at doing that every,

every day in the gym or,

or is it the same as everything else?

I, I, let me just say this.

I don't think there are,

is any perfect programming.

Like I get frustrated

coaching a lot of the mayhem programming,

because I will tell you from my opinion,

I feel that sometimes they

don't think about the types

of affiliates that might be

utilizing their programming,

meaning equipment,

Um, you know,

like not everybody has 18 skiers or,

you know,

all the sandbags and that kind of thing.

So I think that there is

some aspect of that.

I will say,

I don't think necessarily that

I'm getting any fitter.

I don't think I'm losing any fitness,

but I do feel sometimes.

more fatigued.

But at the same time, I am older now,

right?

I mean, I know I look in my 20s,

but I know I'm not.

And it's interesting that

you bring this up because I

was talking about like,

I haven't PR'd a weight for a long time.

The only PR that I... I did

just get this new PR of a strict press,

okay?

But any of my other ones,

I haven't had a PR.

I can't necessarily blame

the programming for that.

I'm just stating that.

Yeah.

I'm just curious because

they are the most popular programming...

in probably in the United States for, uh,

games at Ford athletes, I guess,

is what I'm trying to say.

And I was just curious what

your thoughts were.

Yeah.

It's harder for me to just say, like,

to give you a definitive, I,

I think I have two

different decisions because

of being a coach, if that makes sense of.

Denise Moore says older.

He, he, he just wait.

She's our games athlete.

Yes.

Denise, here's the thing.

I'm in this for the long game though.

I really am.

So I, while I joke about being older,

like I want to continue to,

to do this for a long time.

Well, speaking of older,

I saw Lana Marcin in the comments.

Yes.

Huge,

huge news from her I got the other

night is that enough people

signed up that the 70-plus

will be represented at the

Legends CrossFit Games.

They all got their invites

just a couple days ago.

And so, um, so for the first time ever,

there will be a 70 plus division.

I don't think it's

officially going to be

recognized by CrossFit,

but they'll get the play.

That's awesome.

Um, and so that's, that's really special.

And I know Lana has been

working very hard on that.

And the fact that she got

that is pretty amazing.

And Denise Moore is in there,

and I need to send out a

huge thank you to her.

I made a plea Sunday night

that we wanted to do the

behind the scenes of the

Masters CrossFit Games that

I sent out a message to Joe Linton,

one of the co-directors of that,

and did not hear back.

Denise pushed a couple buttons,

and I have a meeting with

Joe on Thursday afternoon.

talk about possibly doing

the behind the scenes for

the masters divisions and

I've I'm already assembling

a team with the hopes that he says yes so

Trying to get,

I think I have the best

videographer in the business.

Rosie View Photography is

willing to come back and do that with us.

And then I actually have a

local semifinal athlete

from Birmingham that we can

do some stuff leading up to

that she can give us some

tours of what Birmingham

has to offer and all of

those kinds of things and

then help with interviews

and stuff at the event.

That's

that's the last week of

august isn't it it's a

labor day weekend oh it's

labor day weekend okay both

the teens and the masters

go that weekend and I think

that is just a crying shame

that um that they have to

compete against each other

that weekend for eyeballs

because both will be streamed yeah

But I think that either they

should combine as one event

or have separate weekends

to do their events.

And thank you, Denise.

My pleasure to help.

Scott,

you've been so supportive of the Masters,

just trying to pay back all your efforts.

That's very thoughtful.

And just to clarify the 70 plus,

it's a trial division.

Okay.

so but lana I know you've

worked so hard for this and

I'm just so happy that you

you got that and she texted

me the other night like can

you imagine being 70 plus

years old and you're a

crossfit games athlete for

the first time in your life

no like how cool that would

be that's that's super cool

my dad will actually be

happy to hear that although

he's almost in in the 80 in

the next division

Yeah.

Yeah.

Lana, I think she said, I don't,

I don't want to age her at all,

but I think she's pushing

for a 75 plus is what she would be in.

Okay.

Um, and she's trying to,

and she's waiting to

compete until she gets to

an appropriate age group.

She says they're, they are very excited.

So yeah,

huge news around the master's division.

And, uh,

What's coming up and can't

wait to support them.

And then we've got the

elites going to Fort worth.

I actually looked at the

prices of plane tickets,

direct flight Columbus to

Fort worth on spirit $90 round trip.

That's pretty good.

Now I know spirit charges

you for everything

breathing oxygen on the plane.

Yeah.

but I was like, you gotta be kidding me.

That's the best flights I've

ever seen to try to get to an event.

That is pretty good.

But, uh, so I don't know,

I don't know what I'm doing

for the main games.

I really was going to not go, um,

and just go to masters.

Um, yeah,

that's the one part for us that

sucks like that.

It's too separate.

I mean, for a lot of people it might suck,

but, um,

just the extra traveling and yeah.

And any hope but the only

the big part is any hotel

downtown Fort Worth is so expensive.

Yeah.

Now if you stay in the suburbs,

get a good deal.

But then you got to pay Uber

or rent a car.

Yep.

Or do one of those things.

And then all those costs come back up.

Yep.

Yeah.

So, yeah.

So exciting week.

Yeah.

Again,

going to the Olympic trials this weekend.

That's going to be super fun with my mom.

It's Father's Day weekend.

Have you already done and

dusted that for Scott?

Or does he get like a dinner

out or something this weekend?

I mean,

the presents are combined because

of how much it was.

But we are actually going to have...

the in-laws and my parents

over for dinner.

So we will be grilling up

some food then as well.

Have you had a fire yet this year?

No, I need to, but my new project,

I'm going to be starting it soon.

Project number one for the

summer is already done.

Project number two, you ready for it?

Wait, before you get to number two,

did you start and complete

one or did you start it and

Scott have to come in and finish one?

Scott helped me.

If I remember the text string correctly,

this is what Scott came home to.

And then you showed me the

finished product.

Yeah.

Okay.

Well, it was definitely okay.

I didn't think I was going

to need this help.

And this is what had happened.

What happened was I went to the store.

They had some really cute

peel and stick wallpaper

that I thought would just

make this whole thing look amazing.

And so I was like,

it was on clearance and I was like, babe,

I got this.

Do you think it will work?

And he's like, I don't know.

Am I work?

And I was,

I go up there and I try to do

one by myself.

And then I was like, Hey, can you help me?

So it ended up being more,

but that wasn't a have to for the project,

but it looks amazing.

So you did it all,

but the peel and stick wallpaper.

Yes.

Yes.

Swear on Murph.

Yep, and I got through five,

I got rid of five bags of extra clothes,

put all the furniture together by myself.

Okay, so now there's project number two.

Okay,

so that project is completely done though,

right?

Project number two.

A couple years ago,

we have a huge deck outside

that used to have wraparound seating.

Yeah, deck.

I'll send you a picture of our,

I'll send you some deck pics later.

OK.

In our private chat.

And I used to have wraparound seating.

And so we took all that down

and then replaced a bunch of old boards.

Well, when we did that the last time,

we didn't replace all of

the boards because they didn't need it.

But now it's been about five years.

So I'm going to replace several boards.

And I am going to need help

on this because I haven't

used one of the tools.

so I need some help with a

tool but I am going to do

use the crowbar I'm going

to remove all the wood

pieces and I'm I'm going to

buy all the pieces I have

all the deck screws I just

need help about how to use

the saw okay okay I'll use

this so he'll help me with

the saw I've done all the

measuring I i can install

them all that and then I'm

going to paint it

Okay.

Okay.

So those are my,

and I'll show everybody my

deck picks once that's, that's happened.

So this last weekend I actually, you know,

I ripped my deck off.

Yeah.

You can't believe you ripped

your whole deck off.

I just, I ripped it off.

It was leaning a lot, wasn't it?

It wasn't really leaning.

It's that boards underneath were rotting.

Oh, so you had a rotten deck.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Uh,

and so I ripped that off and then it's

big,

it's going to be my diddle project is

what I'm calling it for the summer.

Like I work a little bit here and there.

Yeah.

And so the water,

I'm going to diddle my deck.

Yeah.

So I, uh, the water,

the rain washed away a big gully,

like from my house and then

it like humps back up.

Yeah.

So I need to get all that

level to make a patio.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So I took 25,

50-pound bags of topsoil to

my backyard and put all in

that gully to get all that leveled out.

Okay.

Here's a question.

You're going to need a set of stairs.

Yes.

Because otherwise,

is there a drop-off right from your... Oh,

there's no way out the back

door right now.

Yeah, okay.

Because you were elevated out there, so...

But what's crazy is the

water washed so much dirt away,

like I had to get that

level before I could build.

Sure.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Because it wouldn't go down

to the proper level.

Yeah.

So, yeah.

So now I've got that leveled up.

I want to rent a rototiller

and then like soften

everything up and get it

all like super level.

Yeah.

And then I'm going to put

the stairs in and then

start working on the pavers

and the gravel and all that

stuff to finish out the

patio and build the gas fire pit,

which is going to be the

highlight of this thing.

Obviously.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Although the pipe coming out

of my house is,

looks scary rusty I'm hoping

where the gas comes out

yeah I'm hoping that like

it's okay well that's not

something you should you

should definitely get some

professional advice it's

fine you just need to get

one of those orange hoses

hooked to it buried under

the gravel springs he's a

union guy like you know oh

yeah springs okay yeah yeah

that'll be fine

He said, it's fine.

Just dust it off and put the

orange hose on and you'll be fine.

Okay.

Again, it's not his house, but sure.

Well,

we'll just have to keep updating

about our, our projects.

Yeah.

The good thing about Julie

being kind of incapacitated

at the moment is she's not

starting projects for me to finish.

Yeah.

I can just work on the stuff I want to.

But I did plant her two

azalea bushes and a rose

bush last weekend too.

That was very thoughtful.

She probably told you to do it,

but that was also very thoughtful.

She did.

I did it.

Well,

this was the lifestyle roundtable

this week.

Brought to you by Better

Homes and Gardens.

Please sponsor us so we can

get some more clearance items.

Yeah.

I think they're bankrupt right now.

So getting a sponsorship

from them is probably not good.

Print media.

Yeah.

I don't even know why I went there.

Why didn't I go like the DIY

network or what's the other one?

HGTV.

HGTV.

There we go.

Yeah.

We need HGTV.

Yes.

That's what we want.

Well, with that,

we're going to let you all go.

Enjoy this little respite in

the CrossFit game season that we have.

And, yeah, don't forget Alex Kazan,

Thursday noon.

James Sprague, 1 p.m.

Thursday.

And I got some other people locked in.

I just don't have exact times yet,

but we'll get those out as well.

And we will see you next

time on the Clydesdale Media Roundtable.

Bye, guys.
