About Meg & The Daily Pep!
I’m Meg and I’m the host of The Daily Pep! and The Couragemakers Podcast and founder of The Rebel Rousers. I’m a coach, writer and all-round rebel-rouser for creative and multi-passionate women to do the things only they can do and build a wholehearted life. When I'm not recording episodes, writing bullshit-free Letters of Rebellion to my wonderful Couragemakers community or hosting workshops/group programmes, I'm usually covered in paint or walking my wonderfully weird cockapoo Merlin.

Good morning, Daily Peppers, and a very happy Thursday to you. Now I love a random fact, and one of the random facts that I know is that chefs have a 100 plates on their chef hats. You can see we're getting technical here, Because it represents that there are a 100 different ways to cook an egg. Now I stumbled across a video on Facebook the other day Of somebody making green eggs, and it involved a whisk. It involved a lot of faff, to be honest. And let's just put it this way. I got bored 2 minutes into it and thought, fucking hell, this is taking forever, and there was 20 more minutes left to it. So the reason I am telling you this bizarre green egg story today is just to remind you that similarly to eggs, there are a 1000000 different ways you can live your life.

And the person who gets the say on how you live it, what is important to you, and how you decide to spend your one wild and precious life is you. Everybody is always gonna have an opinion on it. It doesn't matter whether you choose a, b, c or zed, someone is always gonna have a problem with part of it. Someone is always gonna be trying to get you to go a different way. And let's face it, people often have their own agendas. But you are the one that gets the final say. And I know that we all know this logically, but it is so hard to actually take this to heart when Other people have different expectations of us. And when our definition of what a good life is doesn't align with that of those around us, And we end up questioning ourselves.

The thing is, you know you best. You are the expert on your own life. And as long as you're not harming anybody, you get to decide which way you're gonna cook your egg. So that is some quite literal food for thought for the day. Know that it does take courage to do things differently And to want different things from the people around you, but that doesn't mean that you're wrong, and it doesn't mean that you shouldn't chase those dreams. Have a good one, and I'll see you tomorrow.
