Mind Soul Journeys

The Child Between Worlds is a story of mystery, spirit, and the unseen forces that bridge life and death, reminding us that some souls are born from beyond the veil.

Jody:

Welcome to mind soul journeys, a space where the mysteries of the mind and the whispers of the soul meet. I'm your host, Jodi Colvard. Let's begin this journey together.

Jody:

Some births don't follow rules. Some souls don't arrive on schedules. They wait for the right doorway, for the exact moment when the veil lifts and the breath between life and death becomes one. This is a story of a woman, a child who lingered between worlds and the Halloween night when everything changed. Her name was Lavina, and she was pregnant longer than anyone expected.

Jody:

11. No labor. No signs. Just stillness. She wasn't scared at first.

Jody:

Her doctor was old school. Gentle hands, weathered eyes. The fruit will fall when it's ready, he'd say. Not before, not after. So she waited.

Jody:

Her husband waited. The nursery waited, and time kept passing. But by the eleventh month, the stillness grew louder. Lavina couldn't sleep, couldn't breathe right. Something felt off.

Jody:

Her husband insisted. They went in. The scan was quiet, too quiet. No heartbeat. The doctor stood very still.

Jody:

I'm so sorry, he said. There's no sign of life. Her husband wept. Lavina didn't. She just whispered.

Jody:

It's not gone. It's waiting. They scheduled the surgery for October 31, Halloween. The hospital was oddly quiet, decorated with smiling pumpkins and cheap cobwebs, but the air felt heavier, older. Lavina was wheeled into the Delivery Room beneath a pale full moon.

Jody:

Outside, children laughed. Inside, she closed her eyes and saw stars, not in the sky, but behind her eyes, swirling, gathering, and then she felt it, something entering, not a kick, not a pain, a presence. Just before the incision, a beep. The fetal monitor blinked. Once, twice, then steadily, a heartbeat.

Jody:

The nurse gasped. The doctor froze. We need to move quickly, he said. Within moments, a cry. A living cry.

Jody:

A child born at the threshold of midnight, born between dimensions, born on Halloween. Later, the nurses whispered, that baby wasn't in there before, one said. That baby came through. Lavina smiled softly because she already knew. She had felt it, the shift, the doorway, the soul that had chosen her.

Jody:

Not a moment too soon. Not a moment too late. Her child wasn't delayed. Her child was deliberate. Some souls wait for the stars to align.

Jody:

Some wait for the veil to thin. Some wait until the world is quiet enough to enter. Birth is not just biology. It's timing. It's choice.

Jody:

So I ask you, what in your life has taken longer than it should? What miracle is waiting not to be forced, but to be invited? And when it arrives, will you be open?

Jody:
