One Gospel Minute

Jesus offers us freedom, not to sin, but from the law of sin and death. This freedom isn't a license for malice but a pathway to walk in His light, continually cleansed by His grace (I John 1:7). Jesus came that we through obedience to Him might be free indeed. The question is, do you understand your freedom?

David Hill: [00:00:00] Jesus said, "If He made you free, then you were free indeed (John 8:36). Hi, I'm David Hill with a Gospel Minute. Jesus made us free to do anything we want. No, free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). Freedom is never to be worn as a cloak of maliciousness (I Peter 2:16).

Salvation is not a license to sin, but atonement from past sin. It's freedom within the law of Christ, obedience. Freedom within the law is a good statement, both spiritually and physically. Freedom in Christ is walking in His light, and as long as you are doing so, His blood keeps on cleansing you from your sin.

That's God's grace (I John 1:7). Jesus came that we through obedience to Him might be free indeed. That's the good news of the gospel. The question is, do you understand your freedom?
