Marketing for Authors: Be Your Book's Marketing Hero

This one's about process, not output. Quality AI use compresses time or expands access without compressing thought. Bad AI use compresses both. In part five, I talk through what leverage actually looks like, and why the goal should always be the same: multiply someone's expertise, never substitute for its absence.

Today's thoughts about quality have to do
with multiplying,

not replacing. But if you haven't seen my
earlier posts in the series,

I suggest checking them out first in order
and then coming back.

Links are in the comments.

Quality today I want to talk about
leverage.

Everything so far has been about the
output.

This one's about the process.

Quality AI compresses time or expands
access without compressing thought.

Bad AI usually compresses both.

Here's what I mean. If AI lets a small
business owner or solo author,

for example, do in one hour what used to
take a consultant twenty thousand dollars

in three months and the thinking inside
that output is still sharp,

still specific, still theirs, that's
leverage,

that's quality.

But if the speed comes at the cost of
thinking,

if it's fast because nobody actually
thought about it,

that's not leverage. That's just slop with
better production value.

To achieve quality in the age of AI,

the goal should always be the same.

Multiply someone's expertise, never
substitute for its absence.

As always, I'm interested in your thoughts
or reactions,

so please leave me a comment.
