on up in the heavens so that you can

Deep breath.
It is really intense out there.
We are in the midst of life-changing,
generation-changing, humanity-changing
astrology, and that is really
not hyperbole , which is crazy.
We are in a time that humanity
has never seen before.
We have never seen all the
outer planets come together and
converse with one another in
this exact formation so tightly.
So right now, as we speak, we have
Uranus, Pluto, Neptune all connected.
We also have Uranus, Neptune, and Jupiter
all connected and talking, and they are
all speaking harmoniously with one another
because they are in trines and sextiles.
So trines and sextiles are what
we call soft aspects in astrology.
That means that the planets
are understanding each other.
They're hearing each other.
They are in signs that work well together.
So oftentimes when we talk about
astrology, um, we talk about hard
aspects, which are oppositions and
squares, and those are when the planets
are not necessarily talking so friendly.
But those catalysts help us create change.
So I always say that I've never met
an interesting person who didn't have
any hard aspects in their natal chart.
We all need a catalyst.
We all need friction to help us grow
But right now, we're in this interesting
moment where pretty much all of these
outer planets are perfectly aligned in
what we are calling this basket formation.
So if you are spending a lot of time
on astrology threads or Instagram
or Twitter, wherever you hang out
on social media, there's a lot of
conversation about the Barbeau basket.
Andre Barbeau was this French astrologer
who died in 2019, and he predicted,
looking at long-term cycles of the outer
planets, he predicted that there was
going to be a pandemic in 2020, and he
predicted that humanity was going to be
ever changed by what happens in 2026.
So we had a heads-up.
We knew this was coming.
And it's really hard to talk about
because I feel like so many people
are just referencing his work,
but not necessarily giving you an
idea of what's going to happen.
It's really hard to make predictions about
something that's never happened before.
So we've seen basket formations,
but we've never seen it with
all of the outer planets.
So this is really interesting.
Now, mind you, we didn't even know
these outer planets existed for many
years that astrology was studied.
So we don't have a lot of,
so much information here.
So we're really working with the unknown,
and that's the magic of the outer planets.
The outer planets challenge us to believe
that there is something transcendent
and beyond this mundane reality.
And now we have all of these outer planets
working together in air and fire signs.
So I believe, this is my interpretation,
and mind you, astrology is a
blending of psychology, astronomy.
It's a mix of science and art.
You know, the interpretation
that you tune in for here is
a lot based on-- It's an art.
It's my understanding of the planets
and this, this metaphorical archetypical
language, and how I personally, through
my own life experience, interpret it.
That is an art.
That is subjective.
That is, not based in any fact.
It's based in my own interpretation,
experience, and study.
So with that, I am gonna give
you my best interpretation of
what I think all of this means.
But the truth is, it doesn't matter what
I think it means because all of these soft
aspects, particularly these sextiles that
we're seeing, they invite dynamic action.
Trines in general, they are associated
with blessings that come to you that
you might not even notice are there.
Sextiles are more actionable.
They're more dynamic.
It's more about the compromise.
It's more about relating to the person
that is similar to you and complementary.
You work together.
It's a partnership.
So because this basket is made up of
so many sextiles there's a partnership,
there's a relationship that's happening.
We are part of this evolution.
We are part of this experience.
Our action, our movement,
our dynamic Choices.
They are going to be the thing
that people look at on the history
books and astrologers of the
future look back and say, "These
were the defining things of 2026.
This is what happened."
You are writing the history book.
So my interpretation, it's not
that valuable because we are
together writing the history.
But I will say that we are in
a time of dynamic shifting from
earth and water to fire and air.
So I'm gonna do a lot of macrocosm
talking today, and then I'm gonna bring
it into the microcosm of your week.
And hopefully this won't be too long.
But basically, we had this new
moon in Cancer at 21 degrees last
week, and that kicked off the
perfecting of this basket of hope.
So I'm calling it the basket of hope
because I'm an eternal optimist.
I'm an Aries.
I have a lot of Aries in my chart.
Aries is like the fool in tarot.
We jump off the cliff because we don't
even know there is danger to be had.
So as an Aries, I, take it that I'm
allowed to be an eternal optimist,
and if you want to find someone who
is not optimistic, there are plenty
of other astrologers out there.
But I am the eternal ast- optimist,
so I'm calling this the basket
of hope because I believe this
is a time of dynamic shifting.
We had this shift begin in 2020.
We knew it was happening.
At the time, if you were listening to this
podcast, I talked about the Jupiter-Saturn
conjunction at zero degrees Aquarius.
That was going to be the beginning
of something very important for
humanity because for 200 years, that
great conjunction, as we call it, has
met up in earth signs, and now for
200 years, it's meeting up in air.
Air is the element that is associated
with sharing of thoughts, with
the intellect, with connecting.
So much more interested in thoughts,
ideas, and communication, less
interested in the resources and the
things that are on the mundane level.
If you think about the last 200
years, we created a lot of wealth
using the resources of the land.
Now, we're in an era where we're creating
a lot of wealth using information.
So good or bad, we are-
we're shifting, right?
And Jupiter-Saturn shows us where
humanity is going to progress and
where they- we are progressing.
We knew something special was kicking off
in 2020 because we had that conjunction at
the end of 2020, and we had Saturn-Pluto
conjoin at the beginning of 2020, which
brought us a little thing called COVID.
So- That time, that year really kicked off
this shifting of consciousness from the
mundane reality to this air communication,
logical, intellectual reality.
And if you think about it in the past
six years, real life is kind of online.
I, I was thinking about this 'cause
I love Fran Lebowitz, who's an
amazing writer and just woman who
says really smart, funny things.
And Fran Leedo- Lebowitz, she, I just
think she's hilarious, and she was talking
in an interview that I saw a clip of about
how for young people she says, 'cause
she's, in her 70s, she says, "For young
people today, the real life is online.
Online is real life."
And six years ago, pre-COVID, I
don't think we would've said that.
So our humanity, our consciousness
is being changed by technology,
by how we spend our time.
So this dynamic shift has been in play,
and we're in the process of planting
the seeds that will grow over the
next 200 years for humanity because
of that Jupiter-Saturn conjunction
that occurred at the end of 2020.
Now, what's interesting to me is
that Saturn is not so involved.
He is not involved in this exact
formation, but he was involved in another
epic conjunction that really kicked this
off, and that was this year in February,
Saturn and Neptune came together at zero
degrees Aries, which is another thing
that has never happened in human history.
We've never seen Saturn and Neptune
conjoin at zero degrees Aries.
So zero degrees Aries is the
beginning of the Zodiac, and that
meant that everybody was like, "Oh,
hey, this really is a new chapter.
This really is a new era.
This is a really interesting
moment to be alive.
Something is starting right now."
So as I said, all this astrology
is once in a lifetime, once
in many lifetimes astrology.
How it plays out is up to us.
We do not know.
But we do know that with Saturn being
in Aries, there is something about
shifting power to younger people
that is happening, and we're
seeing that play out a lot.
If you, like me, follow politics
and the news, you're seeing
this desire for new blood.
You're seeing this
desire for new leadership
What's interesting to me is
that as we move into this,
Jupiter has just entered Leo.
Jupiter in Leo is like the king.
You know, Jupiter is the god of the gods.
He represents fertility because
he's the father of all the gods,
and Jupiter in Leo is the king.
J- Leo is regal.
Leo is rule- is symbolized by
the king of the jungle, the lion.
Jupiter is entering Leo just as the
South Node is about to enter Leo.
South Node is associated
with diminishment, with
letting go, with release.
So there's a lot of paths and rabbit
holes I could take you down right now,
but I just want to kind of give it the
overview, and I don't wanna overwhelm you.
Right now, there's a lot of planets
talking to each other and coming together.
All the planets I've talked about
thus far, they're having nice
conversations with each other.
But two planets are in opposition.
They're having a power struggle, and
those two planets are Jupiter and Pluto.
So if you think about a basket, like an
Easter basket, you think about the bottom
of the basket, and then the sides that
kind of jut up on a diagonal, and the top
of the basket that connects the two sides.
The top of the basket connecting the
two sides is Jupiter opposite Pluto.
So all of this shifting of our collective
consciousness as humanity is the basket.
That's what's holding us.
What areâ¦
What shifts of consciousness
are we choosing to make?
What are we choosing to
put into this basket?
'Cause whatever we put into this
basket is going to be amplified.
Whatever we put into this
basket is going to plant the
seeds for generations to come.
But the top of the basket, where things
have to go in, is a power struggle
between the king energy and the people
energy 'cause Leo is the royalty, the
celebrity, the king, the authority
figure, the celebrity, the person
standing on the stage in the spotlight.
Not to be negative about Leos.
Leos teach us to be brave.
They teach us to be seen.
They teach us to take in other
people's compliments and validation,
and from that, learn how to
validate ourselves from the inside.
That is a huge part of the Leo
archetype and the lesson that we're
stepping into this Leo season.
But Jupiter being in Leo from a
collective sense for humanity,
it's that king archetype opposite
Pluto in Aquarius, which is the
people, the collective, humanity.
So it's really interesting that
we're gonna have this power struggle.
They are gonna oppose this
week, in the coming days.
They're going to make an
opposition to one another.
Or actually, I think it's
technically next week.
Is it next week or is it this week?
Jupiter.
Jupiter is opposite-- oh, my goodness.
Jupiter is opposite Pluto
today as I'm saying this.
So as I'm saying this, this, what
I'm calling the spine of one of
the minor grand trines that's
occurring, is exact today on the
twentieth as I am recording this.
So we are in this power struggle.
Who has the power?
Who has the power of our consciousness?
Now, we are more interconnected
than ever, but we are also
more dissociated than ever.
And I think we see that in
the bottom of the basket.
We see that with Uranus sextile Neptune.
So as I said, there are two minor grand
trines that are occurring at the same
time, perfecting at the same time.
And the aspect that both of them
share is this Uranus opposite-- or
I'm sorry, Uranus sextile Neptune.
The Uranus sextile Neptune,
that is Uranus is electric.
Uranus is ideas, but it is doing
things a different way, being
the rebel, being innovative.
Neptune is the dreams.
It's the illusions and the delusions.
It's the fantasy and the disappointments
when you have to face reality.
But Uranus and Neptune pairing up
and working together, Uranus being
in Gemini, Neptune being in Aries,
this is a spiritual rewiring of our
collective consciousness, and that
is the base of this basket of hope.
So while we are more interconnected
than ever, we are also more
dissociated than ever, as I said.
And
We are losing our humanity while
simultaneously being overwhelmed by
seeing the disregard for human life
that is going on across the world.
So I think that the Jupiter opposite
Pluto right now represents our fight to
really maintain our power, to maintain
our connection to our humanity, and
to maintain our faith in human beings.
So you see this going on that
everybody is really interested
in IRL, in real life things.
Everybody is, like, trying
desperately to get off their phone.
It's worse than smoking.
You just can't get off it.
Everybody's trying to connect
and find community again.
Many people know that I play Mahjong.
I started playing Mahjong a
year and a half ago, and we
play every week in my community.
And people all over the country are
so into Mahjong, and it's because
people are so excited to just have
a reason to get together in person
and to have those connections.
So we are fighting this.
We are trying really hard to not
let the robots take over, to not
let those in power turn us all into
robots or servants to our robots.
And we get to choose.
We get to choose what
this basket amplifies.
So that's an overview of
where we are at this moment.
I hope it's not too existential
and out there, but it's big.
We're in a big moment, and this will
continue to really feel intense this week.
As we move through this week, we'll
be moving toward the full moon.
So we had the new moon last week, and then
next week on July 29th, Wednesday, we'll
have the full moon at six degrees Leo.
That full moon will be conjunct Jupiter.
The sun will be conjunct Jupiter,
and the moon will be conjunct Pluto.
So this top of the basket that
I just described to you will
be lit up by the full moon.
That power struggle of who gets to
put what into the basket, who gets
to choose what will be amplified by
this basket, who gets to choose where
collective consciousness is going
that is the fight that we're having
right now as these planets are all
creating this formation in the sky.
So with that, I'm gonna bring
it back to the microcosm, and
we're gonna talk to this week.
So as all these planets are making
these exact alignments throughout
the week, um, we also have Mercury
stationing to go direct, and that's
going to be on Thursday, July 23rd.
Right before that, the day
before, Wednesday, July
22nd, the sun goes into Leo.
So this week is the end of Cancer season.
If you've been feeling really
sluggish, you know, whenever there's
a lot of energy like this in the
sky, it can be hard to stay awake.
It can make you wanna go to sleep.
On the other hand, you might have found
that it was hard to sleep last week,
so that when there's a lot of energy
in the sky, it can go either way.
For me, I had a couple of nights
where I really didn't sleep well,
um, and then I had the opposite.
Then I just sort of, like, fell
asleep and couldn't motivate.
So you could be having those ups and
downs with a lot of energy in the sky.
It can make us wanna go to sleep,
or it can give us that sense of,
"Oh my gosh, I'm so restless.
How can I rest?"
So our bodies have wisdom.
Listen to your body.
Listen to what it needs.
One of the reasons you might have
felt sluggish over the past few
weeks, like I have, is that Mercury
has been retrograde in Cancer, and
it's been a very intense Mercury
retrograde, really, really challenging.
Cancer is a sign that is
associated with turning inward.
It's a water sign.
It's emotional.
It feels things deeply.
We probably have had a lot of
old stuff coming up from old
wounds from your family life.
You know, you might have gotten some
ahas of like, "Oh my gosh, this is how
I react to this because it reminds me
of growing up in my family of origin."
I had one of those last
week with my therapist.
So this Mercury retrograde has been really
powerful and really important and helped
us probably, hopefully most of us work
through some very, very, very deep-seated
stuff At the same time, it's exhausting.
So if you're exhausted and feeling like
you have to pull away, you are not alone.
Give yourself the rest that you need.
Make sure that you take care of yourself.
You can rest without
completely dissociating, right?
And sometimes we need to dissociate,
of course, but you can rest and give
yourself the real rest you need.
So real rest is not doom scrolling.
Real rest is, reading a, a great
novel and going to bed early.
I did a lot of that last week.
I finished two books, and I
was, like, really feeling like
I was giving myself real rest.
Um, whatever real rest is for
you, that's what you wanna focus
on as Mercury stations this week.
Sun going into Leo will shift things
though, because it's going to amplify.
It's gonna bring our attention to that
Jupiter at early degrees of Leo, and
it's also gonna come to oppose Pluto,
so that power struggle is going to get
illuminated as we move through this week
and into next week toward the full moon.
We do have a lovely little
blip on the radar on Friday.
We have Venus now in Virgo.
Venus in Virgo, you know, she's bringing
a little earth to the party, which is
helpful because we don't have much earth
in the sky now or really any earth other
than Chiron in Taurus and Venus in Virgo.
So Venus in Virgo is, you know,
helping us stay connected to what we
gotta stay connected to so that you're
keeping your eye on the calendar while
you're doing all this existential
musing in your field of consciousness.
So Venus will be in a nice little chat
with Mercury after Mercury goes direct,
which will be really nice on Friday,
a nice opportunity to connect with a
friend, connect with your partner, connect
with someone that is special to you.
The other reason you might have
been feeling exhausted lately is
that we have a lot of long voids.
Um, we've been having a lot of long void
moons because all of these outer planets
are early degrees of their signs, um, so
we've been having really long void moons.
And when the moon is void,
it makes us wanna check out.
It makes us wanna sleep.
It's-- You don't wanna start
anything new during a void moon.
It really is a time for kicking back.
So- A lot of void moons have made it
really hard to get yourself going.
And last but not least, Saturn
will retrograde, will station
to retrograde on Sunday.
So Saturn will station to retrograde
on Sunday, and then we might notice
that things feel a little heavy.
Whenever Saturn stations, we do
feel that heaviness of burdens and
responsibilities come into our view.
Saturn retrograde, not a big deal,
but we do feel it when he stations.
So keep that in mind if you're feeling
kind of some heavy burdens on this
over the weekend into next week.
Yeah, that Saturn retrograde could be it,
and then also the Jupiter opposite Pluto.
Be mindful that power
struggles are going to come up.
There's gonna be a push-pull
element in the sky.
Every relationship, there's gonna be
a little bit of a push-pull that is
occurring just because that's what's
playing out up there in the heavens.
So being aware that we're gonna be
working with that means that you can
do the work of saying, "Hey, what
did I learn this Mercury retrograde?
What did I learn about pulling inward,
taking a deep breath, and listening?"
And then using that so that we
don't end up in power struggles
that are not worth our time.
We choose the power
struggles that we wanna have.
So I hope that's helpful.
I will be back next week, I hope,
to talk more after that full moon.
But the full moon is gonna be a doozy.
Wednesday, July 29th.
Circle that on your calendar.
It is not a day to do something wild.
It is not a day to get into
an altercation with someone.
I would say in general for the
next week and a half, just two
weeks, give yourself extra time.
Give yourself extra breaths.
Give yourself an extra moment.
Don't be rushing really avoiding the
conflict, unless it's a conflict that
you wanna have because it's gonna be
beneficial in the long run, and it leads
to something that is important for you to
maintain your power and your autonomy and
feel empowered as a human being in this
time when our collective consciousness
is going through a major rewiring.
So this is no small stuff.
Do the stuff that gives you real rest.
Do the things that help you come back
to yourself and your own inner knowing,
whether that's journaling or meditating
or being with your cats, whatever it is.
Whatever it is that helps you connect
with your inner knowing, um, this is
the time to really double down on it.
And I will talk to you soon.
All right?
Bye.
