The second criterion in my effort to
define quality in the age of AI will ask,
does a point of view survive? But first,
if you haven't seen the first two
installments in this series,
I suggest going back to the beginning.
I put links in the comments, then return
here for this third installment
in the series. Okay, fit for purpose and
emotionally resonant still matter,
but with AI in the mix, there's a new
question worth asking.
Does a real point of view survive the
creation process?
Someone's judgment, someone's taste,
their discernment, and someone's actual
experience matter most.
How did that help shape the work,
even if AI helped draft or refine it?
That's the difference between AI as a
participant and a contributor in your
process,
and AI as a replacement for you.
I'll go back to our product, The Playbook,
as an example.
the playbook is built on decades of
marketing experience from the team
at our agency, Metamorphosis.
Then we added real world insights and
substantive knowledge contributions from
prize
winning authors, both to its brains and
its structure.
AI didn't invent that judgment,
we did. And we do, in a process of
continuous improvement.
AI is only helping to deliver it at scale.
So if you can't find a human perspective
anywhere in the output,
whether you're watching, reading,
listening, creating, or consuming,
that's a red flag. If you can,
that's another way to determine quality in
the age of AI.
