Thank you, Emily.

And these two penguins are just the best and the story here gets a little bit confusing because one of these penguins is named penguin and the other is named Squid.
0:43
So we're talking about two penguins, one penguin and squid.
0:49
Let's start with penguin.
0:50
The penguin who was so sickly at birth, he was not expected to live and therefore wasn't named.
1:00
He did eventually get better and it took him some time to learn how to penguin and fit in with the rest of the group squid.
1:10
The other penguin in this story, both penguin and squid.
1:14
African penguins squid has developed cataracts at a young age for a penguin, three years old and seems to be able to get around pretty well but can get a little bit disoriented, maybe anxious when it comes time to feeding because the other penguins are so excited and it can get a little bit hectic.
1:38
So squid has cataracts.
1:40
Penguin was hand reared and took some time to adjust to the rest of the penguin group.
1:46
And now they are absolutely inseparable.
1:49
Penguin regularly acts as a guide bird for squid and helps raise her confidence when it comes time to feed and get around the enclosure.

Polly Branham is a spokesperson for bird world.
2:06
She's quoted as saying, the intuitive behavior observed between a penguin and squid has revealed a remarkable level of empathy and understanding, showcasing the profound connections that can form within the animal kingdom.
2:21
I really like this story.
2:23
Two penguins overcoming adversity finding each other when they needed it.
2:28
Most who knows penguins do mate for life, maybe they'll stay just friends or who knows what else may develop parts of this story.
2:38
Really feel like a 1990s rom com.
2:42
So if anyone is out there thinking about making a nostalgic 1990s summer popcorn flick rom com, this might be a great story for you to pick up.
2:54
That's the good news I have for you today.
2:56
Enjoy the rest of your day.
