About Meg & The Daily Pep!
I’m Meg and I’m the host of The Daily Pep! and The Couragemakers Podcast and founder of The Rebel Rousers. I’m a coach, writer and all-round rebel-rouser for creative and multi-passionate women to do the things only they can do and build a wholehearted life. When I'm not recording episodes, writing bullshit-free Letters of Rebellion to my wonderful Couragemakers community or hosting workshops/group programmes, I'm usually covered in paint or walking my wonderfully weird cockapoo Merlin.

Good morning Daily peppers and a very happy Thursday to you. So I thought I would pop in with a reminder today that you are not alone. If you feel like for the rest of 2025, you would just love to lie on the sofa, cuddle up with a blanket and a good TV show and a book. I know for the last five years we get to this time in December and it just feels like, God, what a fucker of a year. But for many of us, this one has really taken the biscuit, to put it mildly. In my work, I get to work with so many fabulous women and I can tell you that we're pretty much all feeling it, but we're not necessarily always aware of that. Some people do a great job of appearing like they have their shit together. We're officially in December, which can sometimes feel like boasting season and sometimes we can end up wondering if we're the only one who has no fucks left to give.

So I just wanted to pop in today to remind you and let you know if you didn't know that so many of us are relieved to be on the home stretch of this year. So many of us have absolutely no desire or energy to make the most of the rest of the year. Collectively, we're not feeling very productive. And most importantly, that's okay. Use your remaining fumes to get done the things that absolutely need to get done and make like you are the world's fussiest eater when it comes to what gets put on your plate. Now is not the time for adding commitments that you're going to regret later. And it might just be the time for some scary nos around here. We are deeply conscientious and paradoxically, we also probably worry more than most that we're lazy.

So please take this as your sign that you are allowed to do the bare minimum and know that your bare minimum is probably a lot better than many people's pretty good attempts. Now is not the time to prove anything to yourself. Remember that tired equals bullshit thoughts. And no matter what you did or didn't do this year, your dream shitter would always find a way to shit on you. There is no way of winning that game. So I say fuck the game and make up our own rules. We are on the home stretch. Everyone's feeling it.

You are absolutely not alone. And if you can find the time to lie on the sofa with a blanket, then grasp it with both hands, have a good one and remember that everything changes when you believe you matter.
