It's 07:26PM on Friday 02/13/2026 and as you can hear I'm sitting by the seaside. It's just getting dark. The first stars are out shining very bright, and I've just decided to have a little walk in my neighborhood, my new neighborhood, which I was talking about. This time I've gone in a different direction. I came south instead of going north as I did the other day.
Ryan:And so this is the part where all the restaurants and bars and cafes are. And there's this beautiful calmness about this place as I said, and I just love seeing all the different people out. A lot of couples out with their dogs, people out for coffees, some people out with their elderly in wheelchairs or walking, people jogging. Oh it's also Valentine's weekend, I'm just remembering and so what's going through my mind right now is like 2026 that I am getting it from a few people which is really good, even today that people are really talking about the sense of positivity in the air. Energy of right now feels somewhat lighter, somewhat hopeful sense of inspiration.
Ryan:And I know we're right on the precipice of the astrology I mentioned in the other message where the fire horse is now taking over from the year of the snake from last year. So there is that momentum and that sense of shedding old ways and unhealthy or patterns and that translates to unhealthy connections and relationships as well. And so it's just this beautiful sense that I have right now for myself personally where I had to really slog. I did some crazy leaps of faith in the last few years and here I am starting to feel and experience the benefits of that. As I've said before, this is my dream life, know, to live on an island in the sun.
Ryan:Today was another sunny day. I think we're about 22 degrees at the moment maximum and where I can just put my head down and build and focus on my business, focus on my music. So much wants to come out of me and so much has had to be patient for decades and that's not an exaggeration it's actually it can be heartbreaking to think about it but like 21 year old Ryan picked up the guitar one day for the first time and he was mind blown at what he could do with it and how it opened him up in order to express himself because coming from a classical background playing cello and violin in orchestras is that those are very controlled sanitized spaces, right? You play Beethoven or Bach as it was written and you follow a conductor so that 60 musicians or 200 musicians whatever it is are on the same page at the same time. So to go from that to holding this guitar in my hands against my chest so my heart can express what it has to say was a very liberating process for me and I knew then I was like that's it, found my thing.
Ryan:Singer songwriter? That's me. And so I've got songs I was writing literally around that time 2001, 2002, 2003 that have never seen the light of day and it really sucks actually. How many times I've tried to sit down and go let me try and record this but I had to keep moving, to keep surviving, to keep learning how to produce those days because I knew I wasn't going be able to afford a recording studio and I'm so glad I did because look at me now. I record wherever I live and full capability to do so.
Ryan:Famous people do that now. Shout out to Billie Eilish and her brother Phideas. They've been recording in their bedroom all these big hits for years from the beginning and I used to do it already, know, in 2009, 2008 and people used to say, you recorded this in your what? Your bedroom? Surely that can't be good enough.
Ryan:And I'm like, if we can connect with you and it makes you feel something, I think it's good enough and yes, a million dollar studio is going to have a crisp, clean, better, you know, chain of equipment to give you a sound however now we live in a world of AI where people are actually I think appreciating music that feels organic and human which is the lane I'm in so it's exciting it's almost like I had to be a sleeper agent for two decades and now I feel it coming it's like oh now I get to be on stages again but this time not from an energy of survival or hustle or please choose me Mr record label or Miss manager it's like now I get to be the boss and go okay what do I want to do how do I want to do it and let me show you what I've got without any apologies, without any need for permission because music just comes through and you express it and you learn how to market it, use the social media, you use the tools, build a community and get on with it. I guess it all makes sense now looking backwards.
Ryan:I've had to become the entire forest even though I was just trying to be a very healthy tree in the middle of forest. 2026. Let's see what you've got in store for us. If you're listening to this and you feel like you resonate then keep going, keep trusting. I know a lot of people are still getting their asses kicked first sort of week, month, couple of months of 2026.
Ryan:It was the same for me. January was very intense and I was not enjoying it but it cleared through quite quickly so just keep going, keep looking inwards, keep trusting what you need. As I've said, we're living in a time now where you've got to know your inner needs and not betray your own soul and your own body, that is the secret. The more that you want to connect with the world depends on how much you can connect with yourself first. So let's do this.
Ryan:We'll catch you soon.
