Awakening Adventures

What if the energy of your home could change your entire life—and you didn’t even realize it?
In this episode of Awakening Adventures, Venus sits down with Tony Gyenis, whose journey from running a struggling moving company to becoming a tuning fork master teacher and energy practitioner will challenge the way you think about success, intuition, and transformation.
Tony shares how a simple moment—hearing a single sentence about feng shui—set off a chain reaction that turned his business from barely surviving to generating $50,000 a month. But what’s even more interesting is what happened after he sold it all… and followed a completely different calling.
This conversation goes deep into:
  • How environments hold energy—and how that impacts relationships, money, and well-being
  • The connection between feng shui, sound, and energetic alignment
  • What tuning forks actually do (and why they can shift intuition so quickly)
  • How Tony’s intuitive and mediumship abilities developed over time
  • Real stories of transformation through sound healing and frequency work
  • The difference between forcing a path… and following what actually works
You’ll also hear how Tony went from physically moving people’s belongings… to helping move energy—within people and within spaces—and why that shift may be more powerful than anything else.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your surroundings are supporting you or holding you back… or if you’ve felt a pull toward something different but haven’t trusted it yet… this episode will make you look at that more honestly.
Because sometimes the biggest shift doesn’t come from doing more.
It comes from changing the energy you’re operating in.

Tony channels a Sound Bathing Event each month which contains tuning forks, crystal bowls, gongs, etc.. For any of your listeners that would like to attend on-line to try it out for the first time it is free of charge. Venus Castleberg: Hello, everyone, and welcome to Awakening Adventures, where we hear real stories from people who have had a spiritual awakening and what they were guided to do with that new awareness afterward. My name is Venus Castleberg, also known as the Home Whisperer, where I use my gifts to help real estate agents clear the energy from stuck homes so they can sell with greater ease.

My guest today is super fun, and you’re never going to guess what we’re going to talk about. After selling his very successful residential moving company, Tony pursued a formal education in feng shui with the intention of sharing what he learned with others and spreading prosperity. This pursuit led him to learn other crafts such as vibrational healing, sound therapy, angel therapy, and mediumship.

Today, he is the only Tuning Fork Master Teacher in Canada teaching others somatic energies and bringing higher realm teachings to an ever-evolving global audience. Welcome, Tony. It’s so wonderful to have you.

Tony Gyenis: Thank you very much, Venus, for the invitation. It’s my pleasure.

Venus Castleberg: Awesome. Please tell us, how did you go from mover to medium?

Tony Gyenis: Well, it’s quite the story. I had many businesses before I ended up with the moving one. We had a furniture business before that, and then it eventually turned into full residential moving after we sold the furniture business.

We ran that for almost 20 years. What was interesting was that a lot of times we would move somebody into a home, and I would just have this feeling that the couple would split up within 18 months or a couple of years. Sure enough, they’d call our company again, but this time it would be separate moves. One person would be moving out into another home.

I thought there was a pattern there. I suppose I always had the gift of feeling it, but I just thought it was coincidence. When we first start experiencing these things, we often think it’s all coincidence, but the synchronicities happen.

One thing led to another, and we started that moving company with basically nothing. We had about three really tough years where we were spending more than we were bringing in. At one point, we were only making about $1,500 a month, which was nothing. That wasn’t even enough to run a truck. We were cashing in our RSPs just to keep the business going, and I was the only one working at the time.

I was always looking for different ways to increase sales and bring people in, and it was really tough. I remember one afternoon coming home after finishing a morning job. I was just going to come in for a quick lunch and then head back out. As I passed my living room, there was an Oprah show on that featured a feng shui master from China. In the ten seconds it took me to walk through the room, all I heard was, “This is the way to bring money into your home.”

That caught my ear. If she had said it before or after, I would have missed it. I watched the rest of the show, and it talked about the energies in the home and how those energies can attract everything into your life. There are nine basic parts of what makes us whole: prosperity, love, health, family, children, travel, and more. When they’re all in harmony, life flows better.

I wanted to know more, so I went to my local bookstore and asked the clerk for a book on “Bengay.” I had no idea how to pronounce feng shui. She corrected me and pointed me in the right direction. I bought a couple of books and started reading.

One of the first things I learned was to get rid of clutter. If you walk into your home and you’re tripping over shoes, or your closet is packed so full you can barely fit your things in it, there’s no room for prosperity to come in. I learned things like not placing a mirror directly across from the front door because it reflects energy back out. There were so many little adjustments like that.

I also learned about water elements. Whether it’s a birdbath or a fountain, water helps entice energy to flow into the home. The most important area was the money section, which in feng shui is the far back left corner from the front door. In my home, that happened to be the breakfast nook.

The books said to put a water fountain there. I was going to buy a couple, but being a guy, I bought nine. I wanted to make sure I got it right. I started decluttering and moving things around because I had the time. Business wasn’t busy, so I focused on the house.

It took about two to three weeks to really get the home set up the way I thought it should be. Then spring started coming, people were moving more, and we got back to work. About six weeks later, my wife said, “Today’s a special day.”

At first I thought I had forgotten an anniversary or something. She said, “No, for the last three years we’ve been losing money. Last month we broke even and even made a little.” I said, “Well, it has been busy,” but she said, “No, I think it’s the feng shui.”

I had completely forgotten about it by then. After weeks of working, you just let things do what they do. But it started taking off. The sales almost doubled every single month for months. It got to the point where I couldn’t keep up. About a year later, I had to get another truck and more guys. The growth was incredible.

We went from $1,500 a month to $50,000 a month. At that point, I had a choice: either expand the business even bigger or sell it while it was at its peak. Something inside me said to sell it while it was on that growth streak.

Within a couple of months, I had an accountant look at the books, and he said, “I want this business.” He ended up buying it. After almost 20 years of no vacations, working seven days a week, often 18 hours a day, it was surreal.

The day the deal went through, I had promised the new owner that I would stay for another six months to help show him the ropes. He picked me up that morning, I dropped off the truck, and I was ready to work with him. He said, “Tony, we’ve got this. We’re taking you home.”

I can’t even describe the feeling of walking back down my laneway to my house, knowing I didn’t have customers to worry about, people not showing up for jobs, or problems to manage. It was peace.

That gave me the time and the money to pursue another career. I had started this business with $45 and sold it for almost a million dollars, with everything paid for. I thought people would want to know how I did that, so I started trying to do business coaching.

I rented a big auditorium with 500 blue chairs and promoted it like crazy. Eleven people showed up, and six of them were family.

That was confusing for me because I thought people would really want to know how this could be done. But the universe showed me that wasn’t my path. My wife said, “You know so much about feng shui. You can do it for yourself, but that doesn’t mean you can do it for other people without proper training.” So I decided to get formal education.

I found a feng shui course in New York, about a nine-hour drive from where I was in the Ottawa area. It was taught by Nancy SantoPietro, a lovely woman who had been doing feng shui for many years and was also a medium. It was a two-year intensive program with lots of homework, and I signed right up.

On the first day, I walked in and the instructor said, “Hi Tony, glad to see you.” I asked how she knew my name, and she said, “You’re the only guy.”

There were 27 women in the class. I had no idea this was mainly a female profession. That morning, I really thought I had made a mistake. Instead of jumping right into feng shui, we started by sharing our stories and clearing the energies of why we were there. As each woman shared, there were tears and stories of abuse and pain. By the time it got to me, I wasn’t very happy being a guy, to be honest.

I had been raised very differently. My father was adamant about treating women with respect—opening doors, making sure they were safe. I had no idea how prevalent abuse had been for so many people.

When it came time for me to share why I was there, I said honestly that I had a great life. My parents danced around me. If I wanted to play hockey, they got me hockey equipment. If I wanted to get my pilot’s license, they paid for it. We didn’t have a lot of money, but my parents treated us with love and abundance. I lived in a very abundant world.

As part of the course, we had to choose an elective for clearing homes. There was sage and smudging, which didn’t really interest me. There was Reiki, which didn’t interest me at the time. There were essential oils, which also didn’t feel like my thing. Then they mentioned tuning forks.

I asked, “What do they do?”

They said, “They’re pretty powerful, and they come with a tool belt.”

I said, “I’m in.”

It was an apron with a tool belt that held all these different tuning forks. That appealed to me right away. Then I started asking what the forks actually did.

Right before lunch, they gave us a five-minute tuning. They struck the forks and played them around my head. One was said to liberate fear, and another enhanced intuition. When I walked outside afterward, the greens of the trees and the blue of the sky were so vivid. I had never seen colors like that before.

They explained that these sounds had been buried or changed hundreds of years ago because they open portals in the body. They said you can use these sounds in a home, because they tune the home when it’s energetically in disarray.

If someone had gone bankrupt in a house and then sold it, the energy of that bankruptcy could still remain in the walls for at least six months. When a new person moves in, they can take on that same lack, even if their business had been doing well before. That’s called predecessor energy.

So I started bringing my tuning forks into homes. I would move counterclockwise around the inside perimeter of the home, striking the forks and speaking to the house. I’d say things like, “These people have chosen you so they can expand their family.” I’d go room to room, even opening cupboards and clearing the kitchen, because so many disputes happen there.

Eventually, I became a tuning fork practitioner, then a master teacher about 15 years ago. Since then, I’ve been teaching massage therapists and other consultants how to use tuning forks, sound, and vibration in their sessions to calm clients before they leave. It’s been quite a journey.

I’ve always had an affinity for helping people be in harmony with their homes. If we were doing a session and these sounds were moving through your home, they would also move through the walls and begin to bring harmony into the space.

So I went from moving things physically to moving energy. In many ways, moving energy is harder, because it’s all about intention. That took a real evolution for me to learn.

Venus Castleberg: Wow, that’s really great. I love that. So where did the mediumship part come in?

Tony Gyenis: One of the things about these forks is that the more you use them, the more they create a field in the biofield. Some of these frequencies increase intuition. When I’m tuning a client, I’m also getting tuned.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve probably done close to 10,000 tunings, around eight to ten a week, not counting the times I’m teaching. I’m hearing these sounds all the time. The level of intuition just branches out, and mediumship developed naturally from that.

Before I had the forks, it was frustrating. My wife, daughter, and son could walk into a crystal shop, pick up a crystal, and immediately feel something. My wife once picked up a small yellow prenite stone and got an instant migraine. I could hold the whole box for half an hour and feel nothing.

I even bought a prenite necklace with about a hundred beads and wore it all day. I felt a little lightheaded, but that was it. So for me, mediumship came through the constant exposure to sound.

Everybody can develop this. The sounds we hear in our daily lives are mostly noise. Even our music has been altered. There are certain healing frequencies—like 432 and the solfeggio tones—that work more with the soul. They open things up. I played these sounds all the time. I even slept with the forks nearby to absorb their energy, even when they weren’t being struck.

Over time, I developed a relationship with them. Some forks I’ve had for 15 or 17 years and they’re still incredibly powerful.

Venus Castleberg: That’s awesome. I know you also do sound bath events. Can you tell us a little bit about that?

Tony Gyenis: Yes. Before last year, around January 2025, Spirit was telling me in meditation that I needed to get into gongs. I had one small gong at the time, but I started feeling guided to expand.

I went to a show and bought one gong with a beautiful sound. Then I got the nudge to buy crystal bowls. I looked online, but Spirit kept saying not to get the cheap ones. I ended up buying handmade bowls that were four times the price. Instead of paying around $1,200, I ended up spending closer to $6,000 for a set.

At first I thought I’d get six bowls, but because of how I am, I ended up buying eleven. Then Spirit started guiding me toward sound baths. I knew nothing about them. That meant I needed more gongs and more instruments. I went back to the shop, intending to spend maybe another $5,000, and somehow ended up looking at over $20,000 worth of equipment.

The woman who ran the shop said, “I don’t know what it is, Tony, but I trust you. Take what you need and we’ll work out the numbers later.”

So I brought the full set home. I now have 25 crystal bowls and about five or six gongs, along with the tuning forks.

At first I doubted myself because I saw other people doing sound baths and thought they were so good. Spirit said, “We’re going to tell you what to do while you’re doing it. You don’t need the training.” So I trusted that.

We did our first sound bath in June of 2025. It blew people away. I had about 15 people in my studio and another 20 online. We had several cameras set up so the online participants could see the bowls and the gongs.

Halfway through, people in the audience were practically falling over. They loved it. One woman in the front row had never heard tuning forks before. She told me afterward, “Today I found my 11-year-old self.”

She shared that she had been abused by her father and grandfather and had run into the woods when she was 11. She said she had never been the same since. During the sound bath, she felt like she had gone back, brought out that 11-year-old self, and reunited her with her 45-year-old body. She was sobbing.

That’s when I started realizing that when I channel these sound baths, I’m being told what frequency the collective needs right now. I hit those sounds for as long as I’m guided to, then move to the next. The whole thing is channeled. I don’t plan it.

Every month, people keep signing up automatically. It’s been an incredible gift. I think the gift isn’t just that you have a gift—it’s that you use it. So many people have incredible abilities, but they don’t move forward with them because of fear or hesitation. The real gift is using what you’ve been given.

People who knew me as a mover can hardly believe the transformation. But each time I hear these sounds, I become more intuitive. I used to say in the beginning I was on Wi-Fi with Spirit, and now I’m hard-lined.

Venus Castleberg: I love that.

Tony Gyenis: I feel things much sooner now. For example, one day a client’s father came to pick her up after a session. He mentioned he was working on a deal and expected it to be done by the end of the day. I asked him to tell me a little more.

After about 30 seconds of hearing about it, I said, “Don’t do it. I’m getting a no. Not a no forever, but not right now. There’s something they’re not telling you.”

He asked what I meant, and I said I didn’t know exactly what it was, but something felt hidden. Spirit is all about transparency. He later went back to the people involved, and sure enough, they had left out an important detail in the contract about the payment schedule. It was a red flag for him, and he decided not to move forward.

I didn’t even know exactly what I was picking up on. It was just a feeling. But that’s what clients are looking for.

What matters most to me isn’t that I can feel it. It’s that I want my clients to learn how to feel it for themselves. I’m more of a teacher. I want them to be able to trust their own knowing, whether it’s three in the morning or they’re in a boardroom making a decision. Everyone can do this. It’s a skill, like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.

Mediumship is really about connecting to a larger part of yourself. Your soul isn’t just in one place in the body—it’s everywhere. The higher self is part of the whole body. The more you expand yourself, the more you feel that higher part of you. It has always been there. Now you’re just at the level of consciousness and vibration where you can access it.

That excites me. It all comes down to frequency. Whether people experience it through meditation, chanting OM, or tuning forks, there are many ways to access it. I now have over 75 different tuning forks for specific applications.

If someone has just gone through a breakup and their heart is struggling, there are frequencies we can use around the heart area to help them catch up energetically. If someone leaves you, let them go. Sometimes people think no one will love them again, but often it’s actually a blessing.

A reading can help, but when people can see or hear a tool in action and then feel lighter afterward, it helps them trust the process. They may not be able to explain it, and they don’t need to. They just know they feel lighter, more focused, and more able to move forward. I’ve seen incredible transformations in a very short time.

Venus Castleberg: Yeah, I bet you have. You’ve offered an amazing gift to everyone. So for those of you listening, if you send Tony an email, you can request to go to one of his sound baths, and your first one will be free.

I’m excited to check that out myself because I love frequency and sound. Tony, this has been really enlightening and helpful. I think what I got from you is that people can change, they can choose a different path, and they can choose awakening. Some people have a spontaneous awakening through trauma or challenge, and some people choose it and follow that path into a completely different life.

Thank you for sharing your journey. I think it was amazing. How can people find you if they’d like to connect with you?

Tony Gyenis: I have a website called lovehigherself.com, and everything branches out from there. We also have meditation podcasts we’ve been doing for the last five years, all about frequency. Many of them are created with Spirit and are designed to activate different areas like the third eye, heart, or solar plexus. There are over 63 of them so far, and more are coming.

People can also reach me by email at info@lovehigherself.com
. The website is a good place to start, because everything is there. If someone hears this through your show and mentions that, they’ll get free admission to the next sound bath they attend. We’d love to have them experience it.

Venus Castleberg: Oh, that’s so awesome. We’ll include all those links so you can check the comments below and get in touch with Tony. I highly recommend working with him. Even just talking to him, your frequency is going to change.

Thank you, Tony, for being such an amazing guest on our show today. I’m so incredibly grateful for you and your time.

Tony Gyenis: I am very honored to be here. Thank you for the invitation. I love your work as well. I’ve been following it, and Spirit really loves what you do. It’s good that we keep doing this work.

Venus Castleberg: Thank you, everyone, for listening. Please like, subscribe, and share if you received something from this. We really want everyone out there to know that if you’re going through some sort of awakening or shift in your life, you are not alone. There are other people out there awakening too, so we can all awaken to a new reality.

And if you know anyone who has a home with some weird stuff going on, send them to the free quiz at homeclearingquiz.com. Have a wonderful day.
