Hello, I'm Jaelyn, and welcome to Agriculture in a Minute with the Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors. Today, we're talking about what the LEASE program is in four H. The LEASE program is a way for youth across Minnesota to show an animal in 4-H during fairs, even if you don't live on a farm. First, you will connect with a farmer and show their animal during the show season. During this process, you will learn about a species, how to care for them, and show them at fairs.
Speaker 1:Any animal that is a market animal can't be shown, but breeding animals can. Did you know that Minnesota is one of the only states that lets people lease animals? That's a brief description on what the lease program is. Thanks for listening to Agriculture in a Minute. This is Jaelyn with the Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors.
Speaker 1:See you next time.
