Yappinโ about real life and the OG.
But you know why that guy got healed? Because he kept showing up. God has made this thing so simple for us. All we have to do is keep showing up.
Micaela:I'm worried that if I said the wrong thing that then they'd be like, oh, these Christians are even crazier than I thought.
Corey:Use the sandwich theory.
Micaela:What is humility? And then what is, like, self hatred?
Corey:I bind you in the name of Jesus. You're a liar. You've been trying to speak that lie over me for generations. My bloodline's been carrying that lie, and I refuse to care because I've been paid for by the blood of Jesus. He had the memories of the behavior, but that man is dead.
Corey:There's so many people that are still in prisons today that are going to church faithfully, tiding faithfully. They're going to their prayer closet faithfully because they don't understand. The number one way physically that a Christian will ever be engaged by darkness is through sleep paralysis. This is when we get attacked in our dreams or at nighttime, we feel like somebody suffocated us and we can't breathe.
Micaela:Is there a way that you kinda decipher what's from the enemy, what's from you, and what's from God?
Corey:Yeah. Usually, when it's God. That's how you can give a word of knowledge. It doesn't have to be wrapped up in all this spiritual elite, cultural language.
Micaela:Right.
Corey:And so that's where we miss it a lot because
Micaela:How can you grow in that, though? So, like, I guess, let's start with a person who hasn't experienced this or even seen it maybe. How would they move from, I think you called it sensationalist?
Corey:Yeah. To Cessationist.
Micaela:Yep. Cessationist into, like, the spiritual
Corey:Continuous. So it's it's simply just just opening our heart to it. And I just oh, well, thank you, Corey. That is I'd never thought of it like that. Yeah.
Corey:It it's simply us saying, hey. Lord, I I I have been raised up to believe this, but I see what I believe is some biblical evidence for it actually going another direction. And if this is a part of my inheritance, will you teach me? Like, it's that simple. Like, if I don't know how to pray, I just have a set time and a place that I get into, and I get in there, and I just vulnerably say to God, I don't know how to pray.
Corey:I don't know what the heck is a word of knowledge. I got no clue. But if this is something I see biblically that you want us to be walking in this, I need you to teach me. That's it. And so so what's so encouraging for us as people that would be mentoring or imparting or discipling others is all we have to do is teach somebody how to pray.
Corey:That's all we have to do is teach them how to pray. If you teach a man how to pray, god will teach him everything else.
Micaela:That's good.
Corey:So all we have to do is teach them how to pray, and and it's so simple. It's just them coming to a place of, hey. This is gonna be the time that I meet with god and going in there with no, evaluation metrics. No. Well, I did it sixteen minutes today, and yesterday, it was eighteen minutes.
Corey:So now I'm carrying condemnation because I was two minutes. Absolutely not. God's just happy that you're there. So just show up. That's it.
Corey:We see the invalid that was outside of the gate beautiful when John and James were walking by to go into worship. He'd been crippled for forty years, and and he's, like, begging for alms. They're like, we don't have any alms, but what we do have is stand and be healed in the name of Jesus. He gets healed. Now this very guy would have been sitting in front of this gate because the bible says that he was he was he was taken there daily.
Corey:Who else would have been walking by this guy? For three and a half years, who would have walked by this guy? Jesus himself. So why didn't he get healed when Jesus walked by? I don't know.
Corey:God chose to do it through one of his disciples a year later. But you know why that guy got healed? Because he kept showing up. It's simple. He god has made this thing so simple for us.
Corey:All we have to do is keep showing up. Mind you, when I came into this thing, I didn't even think this stuff was real. But I had this cry in my heart to say, I'm gonna give you ten minutes before my family wakes up in the morning and ten minutes before I go to bed at night. That's it. I'm gonna give this time to you no matter what happens, no matter if I get into a a dispute with my wife the night before, no matter if I had a drama popping off at work, no matter what happens, kid gets in trouble at school, I'm showing up to this ten minutes, and I'm not coming off of it for anything.
Corey:That's all it takes. And what you start finding out is, god will lead you in the way he wants you to spend that time with him. Right. One one day, that ten minutes, he wanted me to sing to him the whole time. And then the next day, he wanted me to read scripture the whole time.
Corey:And the next day, he just wanted me to sit there and be quiet and just stop. Just let my my world come to a stop so that I could hear. That's it. And it it's just so simple. And what he does is he takes over, and then he starts showing.
Corey:And and the way the way we discern it, you just start feeling stuff pop up in your heart. Like, oh, I just feel the desire to declare praise, over god's victories in my life. Okay. Well, that's what I'm gonna do for ten minutes today.
Micaela:Mhmm.
Corey:And and just my advice is to keep it short and keep it small in the beginning. Don't keep it short and keep it small because it's about frequency, not duration. Touching heaven is about the the the the, the frequency. So it's about how often am I touching heaven, not how long. So the biggest invitation for new Christians is to evaluate their time with god.
Corey:Well, I only spent this much time today or this day, I I didn't read the bible before. Did. Well, this day, I and they're evaluating it. But remember, Jesus said, if you love me, obey. So this this thing on the front end is all about love.
Corey:It's all about falling in love. So we gotta stop making it about the duration, the time, and we gotta start making it about the touch. Make it about the touch, not about the time. So start small and and and simple.
Micaela:That's so good.
Corey:And he does everything. Yeah. Make it about the touch, not the time. Okay. He's not asking us to evaluate it.
Corey:It yeah. I just I'm just telling you right now because it's the love that takes over. I fall in love, so I want to pray longer tomorrow than I did yesterday. I got rocked by heaven yesterday morning. So now guess what?
Corey:I'm not just doing a session the night before bed. I'm catching during my break time at work. I'm going out to the vehicle and turning on Carrie Job, and I'm I'm I'm crying out to heaven. Yeah. I'm getting rocked on the way to work listening to the word of god going forth.
Corey:It is so simple. It's just show up, keep it small, and keep it simple. The three s's. Show up, keep it small, and keep it simple. That's it.
Micaela:That's it.
Corey:All we have to do.
Micaela:I love that. So as you've grown in your relationship, it sounds like you've been able to kinda queue into when God's speaking to you more. That's something I'm still trying to grow in because I have been wrong before, and I've also been correct in hearing his word before. Is there a way that you kinda decipher what's from the enemy, what's from you, and what's from God?
Corey:Yeah. Absolutely. Usually, when it's God, it goes against everything you know. Okay. Yeah.
Corey:And as it pertains to destiny and assignment, I definitely like, almost always, god's destiny and path for you is the exact opposite of what you thought Yeah. And what's what you want and what you're comfortable with. Like, he is he's the best at making the comfortable uncomfortable and keeping the comfortable uncomfortable. Like, he's he loves to keep us right on the edge of that sword because we're reliant there. We're self dependent there.
Corey:Self dependence is out the window a long time ago if you're right there. It's it's being god reliant. That's it. He wants to keep us in god reliance. That's it.
Corey:And so, but but as a in a broader sense, it's just the more you do it, the the more you you catch it. You you start seeing the signals. And and often, what god is trying to get us to answer on a daily basis is if we trust him. This whole thing goes back to trust. God would rather you air on the side of giving a word wrong that's wrong than not being willing to give the word.
Corey:I I would encourage us to be okay with missing on the front end. Obviously, we're striving to learn and hone in and lock into his voice as effectively as we can because we wanna give the accurate word. But I would encourage us to to be willing to be wrong and and to be okay with the missus on the front end and to make it more about I'm taking the shot. Yeah. I would rather walk away having taken the shot than walk away walk away knowing that I felt the leading of the holy spirit in a moment, but I didn't have enough courage to speak up.
Micaela:I think my fear with that is that I'm gonna discourage somebody from Christ. Like, if I am like, hey, like, really feel like the lord's, you know, telling me this thing or that if he was like you said, if he's there, he would say this. I'm worried that if I said the wrong thing that then they'd be like, oh, these Christians are even crazier than I thought. Right.
Corey:Sure. Sure. And that's why we it's always really good to use the sandwich theory just like we give the world uses it. So, compliment word compliment. So but in Christian in the, you know, in the Christian realm, we would say love, word, love.
Corey:So on the front end of me giving the word, I'm blanketing them with love, and I can just sense so deeply that God's so crazy about you. I feel like he was putting is there a chance that you had, like, a really close relationship to an aunt, like, when you were younger and and maybe, like, something got off there? Is there a chance? Now, oh my gosh. Or, no.
Corey:Not at all. Oh, well, okay. You'll have to bear with me. Like, I'm still trying to learn how to really lock into god's but I can just so heavily feel like he's just wanting to to tell you today that he's crazy about you. I so deeply feel him.
Corey:And so, like like, forgive me for but but I'm I'm sorry. I'm I'm trying here, but I can just I can feel so deep. God just wants to rock you today. He just wants to show you how really he is today, and I'm still learning, so bear with me. And, so, like so that's how it it's you're set.
Corey:You you come in with love, and you come out with love. It's it's love, love, love. Everything's gotta be motivated by love. Everything comes from a place of love, and and that's it. And and that's why when we're out here and we're giving these words or we're you know, God's prompting us to do this.
Corey:Hey. Can I just pray with you right now? Like, just try we try to keep it as simple as we can. Try to try to stay away from all the lofty words as much as we can. Unless you're standing in front of a bible scholar and that's the language they speak, then God's gonna give you utterance in that moment, and that'll even qualify you.
Corey:But you get what I'm saying. It it's all about love. Keeping it simple and love. And, hey, we're we're gonna fall short. We're gonna oh, I'm so sorry.
Corey:I just I felt but but I'll tell you one thing I do know, man. I just feel this deep draw towards you. Like, god's crazy about you right now. Don't is there something that we could pray about? And then now you've opened up the door, you put the ball in their court.
Corey:But nonetheless, they see a total stranger that's gone out of their way, that's been willing to be vulnerable enough to be wrong. Yeah. And they're just rocking me with love statements. Like, this is different. I don't have anything that they want.
Corey:They're not trying to sell me something. They're not trying to so, like, whether whether we miss or not, they felt that somebody was making an effort to love them. And that's at the that that needs to bring us comfort more than anything.
Micaela:Yeah. That's
Corey:good. Like, we're going out of our way to impact somebody, and and there was nothing in it for selfish gain. And and that's regardless of whether we were right or wrong, that's gonna land.
Micaela:Yeah. People can smell intention. So I I agree with what you're saying. Like, your intentions are pure where you're like, I'm trying to hear God. I'm trying to reach this person in a way, then they're gonna they're gonna smell that intention.
Micaela:Yeah.
Corey:They can feel it. The sincerity, they can feel it. It's in the room. And and and when we're a lowly people, it it it comes back to being, I wanna be as low as possible. I wanna be as dead to self as possible.
Corey:I wanna stay as broken as possible at the feet of Jesus so that when I'm coming out into the public atmosphere, they can feel the humility on me.
Micaela:So what is the difference between that and, like, self hatred? Because, part of my testimony is, like, I hated myself so much that I'd be, like, cutting myself Yeah.
Corey:Or wanting to kill myself. Yeah. Sure.
Micaela:So I feel like I'm really sensitive to trying to figure out what is humility and then what is, like, self hatred.
Corey:What's the line of that? Because it could be it could be, like, it could be really it's a thin line. It really is. And the spirit of religion, by the way, feeds on this. It could be self deprecating, or it could be humility.
Corey:And there's such a there's such a thin line there. And, so so we we wanna be careful not to operate in the self deprecating the to, like, the poor me oh my. Like, I got a cloud following me everywhere everywhere I go, because that can mask itself as piety. Oh, I'm so sold out for god. Don't you dare give me a compliment.
Corey:It was all the Lord, brother. Like, I'm just don't I'm not touching that with a 10 foot pole. Yeah. No. No.
Corey:No. Receive the compliment and be generous because maybe it took them a lot to muster up the the curse to even give you the compliment. Just make sure the language in your heart is, it wasn't me at all, brother. It was the lord. The language in here needs to be that, but not out here.
Corey:Right? So so the self deprecating, the, right, the self hate because we're still healing. This is a process. We we haven't arrived. All of us all of us, chief of sinners right here, we're healing at deep levels.
Corey:And when we allow these hurts from our past to become scars instead of scabs, It's a beautiful thing, but then guess what's right there around the corner for you? Holy spirit saying, hey. Guess what? Here's this whole other room that we need to talk about because you got good at compartmentalizing during your fallen state, and you locked the key and threw it away years ago. You don't know that there's some bodies in there, and we need to talk about this.
Corey:And so now I'm so I'm constantly in a healing cycle. I'm constantly I'm going back from scars to scabs. Scars to scabs. So so when I hear this language coming up in my spirit, this self deprecating, this, oh, I'm just not good enough or I'm just you know, nobody's ever gonna love me. Nobody I'm I'm not worth remembering.
Corey:I'm not worth being loved. I'm I'm just I'm this is just my lot to carry. That is a lie from the pit of hell. That is not your lot. Your lot to carry is being an ambassador for Christ, being a conqueror for Jesus.
Corey:That's your lot. Your lot to carry is that you're the bride of Christ. Your lot to carry is that he bankrupt heaven for you. He paid full price for you when you were an absolute mess. That's what your lot is.
Corey:All this so when I start hearing language that comes against that, when the when the language I'm hearing comes against what the word of god says, then it's my my red flag. It's, oh, I bind you in the name of Jesus. You're a liar. You've been trying to speak that lie over me for generations. My bloodline's been carrying that lie, and I refuse to care because I've been paid for by the blood of Jesus.
Corey:That doesn't apply to me anymore. That's not who I am. And what's crazy is for me being somebody who was a felon, somebody who drugs, addiction, failed marriage, all these things. When somebody comes to me and they're like, oh, yeah. Yeah.
Corey:I remember you. Yeah. You remember that one time whenever we get and I'm like, no. I don't. I I don't remember at all.
Corey:I wasn't there. No. No. No. No.
Corey:No. Seriously. I wasn't there. I don't remember because the bible says that he throws my sin into the sea of forgetfulness because Isaiah says that he will replace the memories of my youthful days because the bible says, so so when all these things are trying to come, they're they're trying to take control of my narrative. They're trying to control my thoughts and my and so Paul says, be militant.
Corey:Pull these thoughts down. And and I will tell you, this is how real the bible is. I literally have failed marriage in my in my story, and and my wife is the only girl that I've ever kissed in my entire life. She's the only girl that I've ever held the hand of. I'm gonna tell you right now, God has literally removed the memory of any girlfriend I've ever had in my life.
Corey:This is crazy. I I get this. But this is how real it is. I cannot bring up an image in my head of any woman that I've ever held the hand of but my wife because god's literally removed these things. The bible says he's gonna remove it.
Corey:Guess what? It's actually literally real. I don't have any I have very, very few memories of my fallen unsaved self at all. We have the memories of the behavior, but that man is dead. The bible says in second Corinthians five seventeen that if you're in Christ, you're a new creation.
Corey:So what that means is all those horrible things that I was partied to in my fallen state, it's under the blood, it's been paid for, and he's already purchased it back. And if you look at the inscription, I think it's in Ephesians three or or Galatians three, it says that he blotted out the transgressions against you. If you look at that word in the Greek, it's as though he put an acid on the parchment as though it never existed. Wow. And so so I'm I'm literally telling you to to this day, like, I've literally my wife is is my only.
Corey:She is my everything. She is the only memory I have. I have no memory of anything before my wife because I wasn't alive spiritually before my wife. She walked through the first two years of our marriage. Was an unsaved man.
Corey:So praise god that she was she was about that life. She was claiming the name of Jesus. She was saying, hey, you're supposed to be a pastor. Come on. Let's go, Cory.
Corey:What are you doing? She would she would see me in these moments of falling and and falling into relapse and she'd be prophesying ministry and the kingdom over my life But she's an amazing general, so grateful for her. But but I'm telling you, the bible is real. The greatest news that you'll hear today is that the bible's real. Amen.
Corey:Because that means everything inside of us is for me and it's for now. And when he says he's gonna redeem the time, he really means it. When he says he's gonna throw away your memories of all these failed seasons that you've had, he literally means it. When he says he's going to take your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh, he literally means it. And so yeah.
Corey:Yeah. Yeah. It is something I'm really passionate about because there's so many people that are still in prisons today that are going to church faithfully, tithing faithfully. They're going to their prayer closet faithfully because they don't understand the full inheritance that's available to them.
Micaela:Right. Aside with the spiritual gifts, and I can assume as people are trying to lean more into God, a real side of that too is spiritual warfare. Yeah. So I kinda wanted to touch on that and what you would recommend. Part of my testimony is spiritual warfare to the point of it being physical.
Corey:Yeah, yeah.
Micaela:And it brought a lot of fear to my life and and knowing how to kinda navigate that. And I even went to I don't know if you know who Jonathan Piclouda is, but he's a speaker and he wrote a book on spiritual warfare. And he was at my church, And so I was like, you know, this is the guy I'm gonna ask him.
Corey:Right. Right. Sure.
Micaela:He's been studying this for years. Yeah. And so I go up and I was like, hey. Like, I understand mental spiritual warfare. I kind of get how to, like, capture the thoughts and and have scripture to combat that and stuff like that.
Micaela:I said, what about whenever it's physical? What do I do? God bless the man, he did the best he could, but he didn't really have necessarily something to say.
Corey:Sure.
Micaela:He prayed over me. He said that he doesn't talk directly to the spirits, like he doesn't rebuke them or anything like that. But there wasn't really a tangible answer. And I still feel like I'm trying to search for that, where it's like, what next? Because I know I'm saved in Christ, and I'm almost positive I was at that time too.
Micaela:So it's like, how do you navigate that? Is that just a natural part that's gonna happen? What can I do to For somebody that's listening to this, I know they're probably gonna be experiencing spiritual warfare in
Corey:some way? What would you say? So right off the bat, warfare is guaranteed. It's not a possibility. Okay.
Corey:So expect it, and then also laugh. Never forget to stop laughing. And here here's why I say that. Because spiritual warfare's empowerment is only to the degree that we buy into it, that we that we cosign on it because the game's already over. It it's already done.
Corey:So what we have here on Earth now is a third of the heavenly host, which is a very significant number, way too big probably than any of our, you know, anybody's ever walked the earth to understand the significance of. But here's here's the big encouraging part. We still got them outnumbered two to one. And he assigns the Bible literally says and this is is Hebrews one fourteen or it's Romans one fourteen, but he says, who are these but ministering spirits sent to aid those who are to inherit eternal salvation. So the heavenly host also go back to the old testament.
Corey:Remember Elisha? He had his little his little arm a little battle buddy. He's like, lord, just open his eyes so he can see. Yeah. Those that are with us are are way more.
Corey:Right? And so so number one is, like, it's it's laughable because it's not an actual fight. It's not. Does does the demonic realm in in the in the realm of darkness have the ability to influence the natural order? Absolutely.
Corey:A %. What they do is they possess hosts that are fallen. They influence them. They they they lead them to do things of darkness and debauchery and you know, that's why you have murder. That's why you have assault.
Corey:That's why you have all these horrific things. These are fallen. These are people that are that have not been saved yet, that are being influenced by the demonic realm. These and most of the influencing takes place right here. Right.
Corey:Right? So, they're acting on these thoughts or these feelings, these promptings that they're getting, they're getting it from a different source than we are in Christianity. They're getting it from the prince of darkness, right? The god of this age which is Lucifer and he's here right now. He's roaming to and fro but I want I want to also point out something that's really awesome here.
Corey:He is roaming to and fro. He's not omnipresent. He's not everywhere all at once. He's not in your thoughts. He can't hear you.
Corey:He cannot hear your thoughts. It's not possible. He's not getting words of knowledge about you. What he has access to is what we profess out loud ourselves. And by the way, let's go ahead and stop the devil's really after me language, please, as fast as possible.
Corey:Because for me to assume that the devil even knows my name would be very arrogant. He maintains ground by military rule. They have they have a ranking structure. Right? So this one reports to this one, and this one reports to this one, and this one's the overseer of this one.
Corey:They're territorial. That's how that's why when when you when you're one that carries the oil, when you're somebody who's dead, like, you're banging on the doors of heaven daily, faithfully, you're never missing. You got oil. Right? So when you're as you're traveling, even on road trips, you can feel different levels of oppression as you're going in and out of territories.
Corey:Okay. Because they hold ground territorial. Right? They obviously 100% had the ability to influence the physical natural realm. So we catch the collateral the the collateral damage of that from time to time.
Corey:The number one way physically that a Christian will ever be engaged by darkness is through sleep paralysis. This is when we get attacked in our dreams or at nighttime, we feel like somebody suffocated us and we can't breathe. Anytime that that happens, all you do is you start professing the name of Jesus out loud in your room. If you can't physically get the words out, do it in your mind. It does not fail.
Corey:The thing will lift. It has to. It doesn't have an option. It's not it's not Hatfields and them coins. We're not about to have a shootout at the okay corral.
Corey:Like, you're gone because the name of Jesus got proclaimed. And I'm a follower of Christ, I'm I got the blood of I'm covered by you you see what I'm saying? But when we're asleep, we're most vulnerable. Yeah. That's when most of the attacks will take place.
Corey:If you start having dreams about stuff that you've never done in your life and you've got maybe there's somebody who's staying over for the weekend that's a that's a a family member or somebody that came in and they're involved with stuff that you don't know about and you're literally getting to read their news reel while you're sleeping because god's shown you what they're carrying. Yeah. Like, you're having stuff going off in your sleep that does not pertain to you at all. It's spiritual. You know, people say this often, don't be so spiritually minded that you're of no earthly good.
Corey:False doctrine. Be so spiritually minded that you might be of earthly good. We need to understand everything that we experience in life has a spiritual source. It's all spiritual. It's not this is and that's no.
Corey:No. No. It it's all spiritual and I can give you Bible for that. Job five six. It says, adversity does not come from the dust.
Corey:We know very clearly Genesis two seven that we were scooped up from the dust of the earth and so we come from the dust. That means mankind comes from. So, what that means is, every adversity, warfare, all this stuff that we experience is not coming from the people, places, and things we can see physically with our eyes. It's always a spiritual source behind it that's governing and influencing the situation. So, we start noticing or acknowledging some demonic stuff going on.
Corey:Go ahead and laugh first then get into your prayer closet and start banging on the doors of heaven. Here's how you do it by the way. Psalms twenty two three says, that he enthrones the praise and worship of his people. So, we start getting we start getting warfare, start singing praise and worship. Start declaring the goodness of god.
Corey:Turn the Bible app on on your Bluetooth speaker in your living room. Those devils ain't going to want to hang out right, hang around the word of god. They can't. They don't want to hang around in light because they're dark. So, when I'm proclaiming that, so what the Bible tells me is when I'm praising and worshiping, that's my weapons.
Corey:That's what Paul says. The that that means the authority of heaven comes and sits on top of my atmosphere. So, if I've got warfare popping off, praise and worship, instant. Praise and worship and that's why a lot of people that that really follow the lord closely. They'll always keep some level of Bluetooth speaker going on in their house because your house is yours is your sanctuary.
Corey:Keeps keep the Bible app going on speaker. Just let that that bad boy just be going on stop for hours. Well, I'm not paying attention to it, and I don't really understand what it's saying. No. You don't, but your spirit sure does, and it doesn't need a certain amount of volume.
Corey:And I promise you, it's feasting on that bread of life. Yeah. Do you remember what you ate for breakfast three Mondays ago? No, you don't but it sure served a purpose, didn't it? So, it's the same concept.
Corey:The word of god literally does not return void and when we release it into the atmosphere of our home through Bluetooth praise and worship, sermons, reading of the word, it doesn't matter. It's literally permeating the air, and it's setting the literal atmosphere that we're living in. And so darkness just it can't penetrate it. It it just it just can't.
Micaela:That's good. I love that you mentioned the Bible app. That was actually something I tried, at night. And consistently since I played it at night, I haven't had anything. So I think it's interesting that you mentioned that.
Micaela:Yeah. Kinda like you said because I don't remember necessarily what it said. Sometimes I'll hear part of the story Right. Fall asleep.
Corey:But your spirit's just
Micaela:Yeah, dude. It's it's absolutely insane. Like, it's peaceful.
Corey:Yeah. And and also, if you've been having sometimes too, you know, when you really start when you really start setting ways that impact eternity, you're going to get an increase of warfare. So, and again, I would say, it's nothing to be worried about. It's actually a compliment. Mhmm.
Corey:If you're playing basketball, you're not going to guard the guy that's not in a position to score. But if they're scoring, you're going to guard them and you might even double guard them. So, it's a compliment, number one. Also, because god said he'll never give us more than we can handle. So, if he didn't think you could handle the warfare, he wouldn't allow it to happen.
Corey:It has to pass through his sovereign hand first but then number two, we just get to this understanding of it's really simple. Put some gospel into the air. But if we're getting these days in a row that we've been getting attacked in our sleep and just demonic dreams and all kinds of stuff, then before I go to bed, I thank you god for that you've appointed angels to set up residence in this house. I thank you god that you've appointed angels to stand guard around the outside of my property. I thank you lord that this property is covered by the blood of Jesus.
Corey:I thank you lord that the anointed of the most high god dwells in my midst. I thank you lord that you said Isaiah that you're the wall around us and the fire in our midst. I thank you for being the wall tonight when I go to sleep. So, you're just proclaiming the word of god over yourself. Proclaiming the word of god over your over your house.
Micaela:It's amazing.
Corey:And being careful or what my number one job is to guard what comes in. And and it's by the television. I gotta stop evaluating what I'm watching based off of if it's sin or not, or is it permissible or not. I need to start thinking, would the holy spirit enjoy watching this movie? Oh.
Corey:Guess what? Because he is. And if you don't want him to lift, he's like a dove. Right? The the the slightest little and then you might wanna consider if he's gonna enjoy that.
Corey:I gotta guard my house. What am I letting in? What kind of conversations am I allowing to go on in my house? I'm not just letting any any kind of conversation go down to my house. It's not this is my sanctuary.
Corey:No. No. You're coming into this is my dwelling place with god. Like, you're not just gonna no. I I love you, but I love you from a distance real fast and not have lose any sleep over it whatsoever.
Corey:I think we can we can start like taking on loads of other people because we think god's asking us to and we're doing it in the name of Jesus but but we'll actually find out as you get a little bit further on in your journey. Is actually a much smaller amount of people that god's actually asking you to impact for the kingdom. And we can take on all kinds of extra and we do it from a good heart. We're trying to please god. We're trying to serve god.
Corey:But, actually, we've taken on all kinds of stuff that he never asked us to take on. And now as a result, I've got more warfare going on. Now as a result, I've got more mess in my life. Now as a result, I'm not making it to the prayer closet as faithfully as I was last month because I because Sally Jo just won't stop blowing me up. And then her husband, he's going through another episode and like and it just it just never stops.
Corey:Yeah. It never stops. One of the most important things that we will ever do is get before God in our quiet place, and that's gotta be the pre that's gotta be the premier and paramount thing of every day that we live. The most important thing I do today will be spending time with God, period. And then I go spend time with my wife.
Corey:And then I go spend time with my kids. I'm getting God first, though, because I got nothing to give her. And if I don't get God, then I'm just gonna be an empty dry well all day going around.
Micaela:Yeah. Wow. That's good. Where can people find you? If they wanna connect with your content, reach out.
Micaela:Where can they do that?
Corey:Yeah. So, the ministry is Love Note, and, the at handle for pretty much, all of them, and you can probably throw it up on the screen right there. Yeah. It's at gods, g o d s, underscore love note. All one word, no spaces.
Corey:But, yeah, it's gods underscore love note. And that it's all platforms, even Apple Podcast. We release two long fur long form, videos a week, typically between, like, twelve to eighteen minutes and not not too not too egregious because we want smaller doses are better sometimes. But then you're gonna have all kinds of little shorts and stuff in between. And so it's yeah.
Micaela:Awesome. Corey, thank you so much for being Absolutely.
Corey:Thank you for having me.
