Welcome, welcome back to another Jewish story. We’re going to talk about Shabbat candles. In our tradition, men are obligated to wear a tallit, but it’s optional for women. Similarly, men are obligated in candle lighting, but it’s optional for women. But our sages recognized an interesting phenomenon. They realized women are generally home on Friday afternoons.
