What is Connect the Dots with Coach Karyn?

When you know your personal mission statement it helps you identify how God has created you to contribute to the world. Moreover, it provides peace around your purpose and gives you clarity and confidence to make a difference in the right way, and in the right places.

Welcome to episode three of Connect the Dots with Coach Karyn. We are walking through an online training called Connect The Dots with our guest Julie. She is taking specific steps to create her own mission statement. The training provides a matrix that pulls together what you do well, what your passion is, who your heart is inclined to serve, and what your motivation is. These nuts and bolts of a mission statement are arranged in 5 steps. In this episode Julie explores Step Two which reveals her passion and the people God has put on her heart to serve.

To prep you a little for the conversation, we discuss Passion in the context of suffering. Passion means to suffer – just think of the passion of the Christ. If we take that down a quite a few notches you can look at it as what would hurt you not to do? What holy discontent keeps you persevering? What do you feel compelled to change or fix? Conversely, if there isn’t a strong drive in that vein, you can consider what brings you joy in order to discover your passion.

Her story gets unstuck in this episode and continues with the beautiful work of God redeeming her desire for a “something more” life, into an offering of a “something more” life for others.
