Good morning and

welcome to Morning Serial.

Okay good morning and wait for it here.

So early in the morning I

already have great news for you.

Today it's already Wednesday.

Well today's ambitions are sky high

because today is

skyscraper day and that's a salute

to human ambition that

reaches to the clouds literally.

Now here's a story for you.

I actually got engaged on top of a

skyscraper on top of

the Empire State Building.

Now it was a cloudy night and we had the

whole thing to ourselves.

They kept telling us don't go up there

you can't see anything

but it was an incredible

evening.

Now maybe that was a bit off topic but

I'm sure everybody has

their favorite skyscraper

story.

Well happy name your

favorite skyscraper day.

And speaking of sky high gravity defying

inspiration, Sean White, he

said quote, "You take a crash

you get back up and the next time you

succeed and that is a great feeling."

End quote.

Now first off love your name Sean from

another Sean and why Sean

is saying whether you're

literally falling or just facing setbacks

bouncing back is

always worth celebrating.

Alright well today's news facts and

birthdays are for September 3rd.

We're starting back in 1777.

That's when the flag of the United States

well it flew for the

very first time during

a battle at Cooch's Bridge in Delaware

during the American Revolutionary War.

Then on this date in 1944 that's when

Holocaust diarist Anne Frank was sent to

Auschwitz concentration

camp.

And then finally in 1985 the first

partial human heart lung

machine well it came online

and that made complex surgeries that we

know today it made it possible.

Well happy birthday if

today is your birthday.

You share a birthday with

snowboard legend Sean White.

He's 39 enjoy the last year of your 30's

Sean and totally

normal actor Charlie Sheen

he's 60 today.

And now friends the number one song on

this date back in 1994

was I'll Be There For You

by the Rembrandt.

Now I know you know this song it wasn't

your typical sitcom

theme it became a cultural

phenomenon.

Now the track not only helped launch

friends the TV show and to

stardom but it also earned

theme song immortality.

It was catchy was upbeat and it was

instantly recognizable and

it makes us all want to splash

around in a fountain or maybe settle into

the corner of a coffee

shop with our favorite

people.

Proof that sometimes music really does

become part of the family.

Well turning from iconic theme tombs to

the dangers of going at

it alone here's Kobe's

sub chapter negative synergy in his seven

habits of highly effective people.

Now Kobe is defining negative synergy as

the downward spiral when conflict damages

relationships and productivity.

Have you ever been there.

I bet we all have.

Well Kobe says quote when two people

reduce each other's

performance that's negative synergy

negative one plus one

equals less than two in quote.

Now like I said we've

all been there right.

When conversation turns

toxic creativity it dies.

Now Kobe outlines how mistrust and poor

communication fuel this

negative synergy and he says quote

assumptions hidden agendas or unchecked

egos those turn

collaboration into competition

in quote and Kobe warns that without

emotional safety meetings

devolve ideas shrink and respect

starts to fade.

So to counteract Kobe calls for

transparency and resetting intentions

quote one must rebuild

trust before rebuilding synergy in quote.

Now that might mean apologizing.

I know that's hard for a lot of us to do

or maybe it calls for

clarifying the goals or

inviting more feedback.

But when negative energy rains.

Kobe advises step back reframe the

problem and ask quote what

outcome benefits everyone.

Right.

That shifts energy

towards shared purpose.

All right.

Here's your takeaway.

Beware the traps that you rode teamwork

negative synergy diminishes

results but it can be reversed

with trust and clarity and

a focus on mutual benefit.

So today reach higher be it with your

goals or your

relationships or 96 floors straight

up but just don't let

conflict drag you downward.

All right.

Thanks for being here today.

We'll see you here tomorrow with more

rhythm reflection and resolve.
