Uh, and this wa- this was an interesting
finale because a- like, as I put on

my board up here, the gang's all here.

There was, like, and it was
interestingly, like, very, not, no

guest stars really on this episode.

I mean, they didn't have any
more room on the screen, I think.

I mean- Yeah … every- everything
was pretty, it's very dense, very

compact- Mm-hmm … type of episode.

So let's, uh, let's get into it.

And we- Yeah … are resurrecting
the $6 million suit against Alicia-

Yeah … and the adoption case.

Um, which Jason, I am not good at
remembering all of the details, but

do you have, like, can you sum it up?

And this is definitely putting you
on the spot, but, like, I don't know

why I would do that after I was just
asked to be replaced on the podcast.

Oh.

But can you- You were not, you were
not asked to be replaced, okay?

Let's, let's- Can you- No … just,
like, sum it up for everyone

off the top of your head?

So this, this was a suit that I think
came about, like, right as the big schism

was happening, and there was a, there was
a question here of whose fault this is.

Because there was an adoption suit
that was going through that did not go

through because, uh, there was a claim
by the Chippewa Nation- That's right

of this child.

Child's getting taken away, and the, the
mother and father, the adoptive mother

and father, were blaming LG because
they didn't do all they needed to do.

And it came out That LG was trying
to bribe the Chippewa Nation to leave

this kid alone, let the adoptive
parents adopt them Right And then it

was a case of, okay, who did this?

Now, at the time, we found out that
this was all David Lee's doing.

David Lee was trying to
bribe the Chippewa Nation.

Alicia had no idea about this.

She was partially in charge here,
but David Lee was going behind

her back and doing all this.

And we found that out via
the betrayer of Floricagos.

I literally forgot the man's
name, but it was the, uh- Oh, yeah

the Asian gentleman.

Uh, it was the Asian gentleman
that, uh, that ended up, uh, you

know, backstabbing, uh, Floricagos.

He was gonna leave with Floricagos and
then he ended up becoming a partner

at LG- Right … because of this.

Well, he caused a bunch of drama for
Floricagos as they were leaving LG.

He was the one that was, like, going
rogue and trying to, like, copy

information when he shouldn't have been.

Yeah.

He was, he got them caught
on almost several occasions.

And then he went over to Floricagos and
then tried to strike a bargain with LG

to come back as a partner if he was a,
was willing to literally lie on Alicia

and say that Alicia was the one that
tried to bribe Ch- the Chippewa Nation.

It was this moment where they were
at a deposition and, like- Yeah

Alicia's there.

Like, "We're gonna get you in this
deposition. We're gonna make sure

that David Lee gets the blame for
all of this." And then, err, plot

twist, he puts it all on Alicia
because he was promised a partnership

by LG if he switched on Alicia.

Right.

Right, right, right.

Yeah.

So that brings us to here, and we have,
like, a conversation happening between the

client, Floricagos, and Lockhart Gardner.

All of this is happening via
teleconference because- Oh,

yeah … the client and hi- the
lawyer were not in Chicago apparently.

Yeah.

I don't know why.

Like, whatever.

But in- And this is, uh, this is good old
Carter Schmidt here, who we've seen, uh-

Yes … several times now, and we will
see in the future in, on Elsbeth, who,

you know, they're like, "Oh, my God."

Yes.

"The first, uh, crossover to, to the,
to, from Good Wife to, to Elsbeth

is Carter Schmidt." Carter Schmidt.

Yeah.

I mean, he was here.

He was here.

Yeah.

Uh, so they're having this conversation,
going back and forth, back and forth.

Like, they're still trying
to pin it on Alicia.

Alicia's like, "Hey, hey, this wasn't me.

This was David Lee." Like, which
firm was responsible for this?

It was Lockhart Gardner.

Lots of crosstalk.

We figure out that this is a
teleconference at this point,

because there, like, the bandwidth
cannot handle this much crosstalk.

Uh, Carter's basically like,
"Yeah, we're suing you both.

Like, one of you is responsible.

We're suing you both." So
that's what's happening.

Canning is, like, watching
Kalinda having a conversation

with Howard in the background and
is kind of, like, tracking that.

Um, and Carter's like, "Listen, let's
pick this back up when we land in

Chicago in three hours." I'm like, okay.

So they decide Alicia's like, "Now
that that's done, I can go pick up

dinner for Zach's graduation dinner."

Because apparently that's
happening, like, right now.

And this, this bothered me
the entire episode, Jason.

This concept bothered me.

Because Carrie walks up to Alicia
and says, "Well, how are you dealing

with it?" And she's like, "What?"
And he says, "Empty nesting."

And I'm like, where did Grace go?

W- what happened here?

Like, I'm like, I'm like- What?

… wait a minute.

Wait.

How … My, my nest is not empty.

My … I still have at least
one other person in my nest.

Her name is Grace Forck.

Like, what?

Like, and of course, like,
my mom lost it when I left.

And I was like, of course.

Of course that happened.

But, like, this … I … Empty
nesting comes up multiple times, and

I was like, no, there's no empty nest.

There's no empty nest.

And by the end of the episode, Alicia will
kind of fight back on that a little bit

with … when she has a conversation with
Eli later, is like, "Bro, do y'all not

forget I have another child?" Like, hello.

Hello.

Eli … Like, okay, so Alicia's,
like, really trying to walk out.

Carrie's trying to talk to her
while Alicia's walking out.

Eli calls and he's like,
"I have a disaster.

Finn is pulling out of the
race," we hear this information,

"because you wanna know why?

Because Finn is gonna time travel to
the 1920s England- … and he's going

to be living in Downton Abbey land,
so he needs to pull out of the race."

Um, and Eli's like, "Alicia, you
have to convince him not to leave."

And while Eli's having this conversation,
he walks by a portrait of Peter that has

a mustache and a, and a eye patch on it
And I was like, where did this come from?

What, what was this?

Why are people doing this
to Peter's portraits?

I'm for it.

Like, okay.

Of course you are.

So over- overwhelmed Alicia's
like, "Okay, let me call my mom."

This is another thing that bothered
me this entire epis- episode.

Okay, so she calls Veronica and
she's like, "Hey Veronica, can

you pick up the lasagna for dinner
tonight?" And Veronica's like, "Yeah.

Hi, I'm at Bloomingdale's." And
I'm not gonna say that there aren't

Bloomingdale's in Chicago, Illinois.

There is a Bloomingdale's, okay?

There, and a couple of them.

However, any Chicagoan would be
at Marshall Field's, first of all.

And this also will track throughout
the rest of this episode.

They are not in Chicago
this entire episode.

Mm-mm.

Maybe that's why they
were on a teleconference.

They're not in Chicago.

So Veronica's at Bloomingdale's,
which is definitely in New York,

and she's, like, talking, like,
"Why, why is Zach leaving tomorrow?"

And I was like, oh my God,
what is happening with Zach?

Apparently Zach has a job at
Georgetown and needs to leave

right away, right after graduation.

And, uh, Veronica's like, "I'm
not gonna pick up the food.

I think I'll make a, I'll make lasagna.

I can make a lasagna.

I'm good at making lasagna." And Alicia's
like, "Oh my God, this is, this is so

mu- Like, I can't, I can't handle this."

And Veronica's just like, "Yeah, I'm
gonna make the lasagna," and hangs up.

'Cause we've all had this, this situation
where it's like, I just need you… I'm

calling you because I have no other- Just-
… resort … do this I need you one simple

thing and not make it complicated.

And of course Veronica's like, "No,
I wanna make it super complicated.

I want to make it so that you have
to deal with me d- doing this stuff

when I could ju- I literally could
just pick up the food that you

already probably paid for." What?

That was,

that's the thing.

It's like, he, she, this is paid.

It's paid.

Just go pick it up.

I can just make this so much more
complicated for you and probably

make you have to deal with more stuff
than you w- even wanted to before.

It's like, okay, great.

Fantastic.

Like, it's just, oh, you wanna make
a salad to go with the lasagna?

Go for it.

Mm-hmm.

But, like, we have a lasagna.

They're gonna be eating lasagna,
like, for three months at this

house because of all this lasagna.

Yeah.

Ugh.

So Kalinda has found out that Howard
is the only undecided vote between the,

uh, Diane versus Canning LG situation.

Um, so she's like, you just,
like, he's easily persuadable.

Just offer him something.

We see David and Canning talking
to Howard, trying to sway him, and

Howard's like, "Uh, so, like, managing
partner?" They're like, "No, no." He's

like, he's like, "Why don't I do it?

Like, why can't I be managing
partner?" Like, Howard, come on, bro.

Don't be stupid.

Like- Don't be silly … no, like, we're
gonna be managing partners, but, like,

you're gonna be, like, the puppet master.

Like, behind the scenes.

Oh, yeah.

master, probe master.

Cut to, uh, Floro Cago's, uh, offices and
we see Care E, AKA Zepps, uh, like sitting

down with popcorn watching a TV show.

Like- I, and I see Zepps, I'm
like, oh, Zepps is, is here.

Zepps is still working here, I guess.

Have you been in this conference
room the whole time, Zepps?

'Cause like I think this is like
the, the per- the premier of this

conference room and Zepps is just
been hanging out here this whole time.

He's like, oh, yeah.

Where have I been the last eight episodes?

Here in this conference room.

You been looking for me?

I've been here.

The whole time.

The whole, the whole time.

So he's there watching
w- like, what's going on.

He is watching the fact that the Flor- or
the Lockhart Gardner camera is still on,

and he's listening to this conversation
between David and Canning and Howard

like, about like, what's happening.

Meanwhile, Clark, Clark is here.

And Clark is like, "Oh, we can't do this.

Like, this is- … this is
not something we can do.

Like, this is against the rules." Clark-
"We cannot do this." Clark, Clark the

narc is here being the narc that Clark is.

Like, come on, bro.

It's pretty funny though.

It's pretty funny.

And then of course they're
fighting and they mention, "Hey,

BB, we should have some doors."

Which again, from the last episode
with the walls and the doors, like

it's so good And Zeb's just like,
"Listen, listen, it's not our fault

that they left their stuff on.

I am here just passively
watching what's happening.

I, I have no responsibility here to
tell them that their stuff is still on.

They did it by a mistake.

I didn't do anything.

I'm just watching passively." And
Clark like tries to turn it off.

He's like, "No." He's like, he's like
start- He literally starts fighting Clark.

Clark is like, "This doesn't seem very
passive to me, okay?" Um, and then

like they're having this like almost
Draco fight over this teleconference.

Like, while Alicia's like,
"I'm ha- I'm doing something

over here. Do you mind?" Yeah.

And she's like meeting with Eli
and Finn at her desk, and there's

like only just like this fake door
window thing- Yeah … uh, between.

And so you see them fighting in
the background, and Eli's like,

"Well, maybe you should get some
doors on your conference room-

and maybe that would help the
situation." I told you about this

last week, and you still didn't get
any windows or door walls or doors.

Like, come on.

Uh, but the situation here is that
Finn i- ha- they have found that

Finn bribed a prosecutor to drop,
drop drug charges against his sister.

Basically, he cut a deal on a different
case to kind of help his sister out.

Um, meanwhile, like while this very
serious conversation is happening,

like we mentioned, Clark and Zebs
are fighting in the background.

Um, Eli is basically here to deliver
the news that like Peter's dropping out.

Like he is not going to, you know,
he's going to withdraw his endorsement.

And I love Alicia here because she's
like, "Peter has done worse, okay?"

Like, this is not like- No, I think
she says he's, I think she goes,

"He's endorsed worse." Yes, exactly.

But it's like- Yeah, exactly.

He's like in, in the endorsement
department, he's endorsed worse people.

Um, and Eli's just like,
"Nope, it's time to move on.

We advise you to withdraw to avoid
any embarrassment." And Alicia

is like, tracks down Eli and is
like, "Is this about the photo?"

And Eli's like, "This isn't… Like
this, put your politics hat on, young

Padawan. I've been trying to teach you
this entire time. Uh, this whole situation

is not survivable." Yeah, 'cause I
mean, I feel like that's pretty serious.

Um- Yeah … if, if you're gonna apply
to be a state's attorney and you just

like, "I actually bribed someone to
do something for my family member,"

like, I mean, I know this is Chicago
and it's to be expected, but you know,

that's still pretty, that's pretty bad.

Well, yeah, this is, this is over.

Like I- But this is- Is this
the last we see of Finn, or is

it, are we gonna see Finn more?

I feel like we see Finn
more- I don't know.

I don't know.

I think he goes to town Abby.

I don't know.

It does seem very sudden to be like, "We
had this whole storyline going." Yeah.

And then like, like just kidding.

Well, and we have to remember Peter
is running the most ethical g-

uh, governor's mansion he's ever
run in his- Yeah … entire life.

So any speck of dirt is not gonna
be survivable for Finn- Well, it

just seems like for this- … in the
long-term … for this to kinda come out

of nowhere is just like, "Oh, okay." Yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Cool.

I was like, "Oh, okay.

So we're here." Uh, while Eli and Alicia
are having this conversation about

the political survivability of this
situation, they are walking and talking

and Alicia gets a phone call and she
sees that it's Peter's number so she's

like, "Oh my God, this is Peter right
now." Again, I hate Jackie, don't like

Jackie, but she is great comedic relief
sometimes because she answers the phone.

She's like sitting at this
desk like w- power hungry.

Like she's like just fueled with like pr-
like, I don't know, she's like, "Why would

you think it's Peter?" And she goes like-
"Why would you think it's me?" Well, she

goes, "It's Jackie." Like- Like bro, no
one is excited to hear from you, Jackie.

Why do you think we are?

And like, why, why would
you think it's Peter?

I don't know, 'cause he's calling,
you're calling from his office phone.

Like why would I not
think it's Peter, Jackie?

And Jackie's like, "What kind
of cake do you want me to make?"

And Alicia's just like, "What?

What, what do you mean?" And she's
like, "Yeah, Veronica called and said

that you wanted me to make a cake."

She's like, "No, I asked Veronica
to pick up the cake." And meanwhile,

Jackie is getting served this coffee
on the side and she goes, "It's

too hot." Like, "No." It's coffee.

"I can't, I can't have it.

It's too hot." And so, um, it … Yes,
so this whole situ- Jackie's like,

"Don't worry, I'm gonna bake a cake."
And Alicia's just, uh, tells, uh,

Eli, "Okay, I'll talk to Finn later."

And Carrie is like vying for
Alicia's atten- attention.

This is all like all happening
all at once type of thing.

Basically at this moment, Alicia and
Kerry turn in to the parents of this

law firm because the children of Clark
and Kerry and Zepps are still fighting.

They are fighting over what
to do in this situation.

Alicia and Kerry are kind
of brought in to resolve it.

Um, there's a conversation
about, like, what is this?

Like, is this information that,
like, if another lawyer slipped you

information, how would you act against it?

And Zepps is like, "It says zealously
represent your client." And Clark is

like, "You slap the word zealously
on anything just these days.

Like, what's going on with that?" And
Kerry basically says, "The American Bar

Association says that the lawyer must
consult with the client." And it looks

like here the, you know, the client would
be Alicia, so like, "Alicia, what do

you wanna do about it?" And I love that
everybody's, like, whipping out their,

like, BlackBerrys and their phones.

Like, look, to look up the most
current ABA, uh, rules and guidelines.

They're go, "Well, no,
that's the one from 1993.

This one is, is from last year, so
this one says we can do this, that."

Like, they, everybody's like looking
at them for like, "Let me see, let me

see my little pocket ABA, uh, rules
and guidelines" type of a thing.

Well, and I can only imagine
how much that has sped up these

days now, you know what I mean?

I mean, there must be
a new update every day.

Yeah, yeah.

So Alicia's like, "Well- This
isn't about the case, so we really

shouldn't be listening in on it.

Like, let's turn it off
because it's about Diane.

And then she's like, "I should tell them."

So she tries to tell them.

She's like, "Mr. Canning,
David, the camera's still

on." They are still yapping.

Like, they cannot hear her say this.

And Canning then ch- changes the
conversation to talking about

Alicia's case with David Lee.

And basically we hear that Mrs. Gopnik,
the person who was trying to make the

and then we hear someone take charge,

It's like, "Oh, hey." And she's
questioning, she's like, "Okay, but like

if we settle…" They're suing both firms.

"If we settled for $3 million,

Because they heard Canning and David
talking about destroying Flor- Floricagos.

And so she's like, "It's not going
to destroy us. What could it be?"

And then they deduce that maybe they
could be trying to disbar Alicia.

Mm-hmm.

And they're like, "Where would this
come from? Is there anything in the

adoption case that could do that?"

So they decide to go through all of the
discovery that they have on the situation.

Meanwhile, on the, on the LG camera,
there's like two random people making out.

This, this is- … obviously
like a, like an office affair.

It's like, okay, but that's
great, but you do know that even

LG has all like glass windows.

Like, someone could still… Like,
this is not a secret, like room.

Uh, during all of this then, also Veronica

Clark does bring up the point to Kerry
like, "Hey, like we were just like booed

by the NSA and we did not like that.

That w- and we are basically doing the
same situation." And Kerry is like,

"Clark, this is a decision that I made to
protect these 60 employees that work for

us, so drop it basically at this point."

Kerry's like, "Whatever, Clark.

Peter and Eli have a conversation
about Finn dropping out.

He, I do enjoy the, uh, notice
that Peter has that it smells

And this, this like little exchange
between Peter and Eli is so great because

it makes their relationship feel real.

And then there's, they have this like,

And he's like, "It shouldn't
have been, uh, Lady Macbeth, it

should've been Mother Macbeth.

And, and Peter's like, "Can we talk
about replacements?" He's like,

"Replacements for Jackie you mean?

" Like I could come up with a
list of replacements for Jackie.

But yeah, they're like looking for
a replacement for the new, um, t-

endorsement for the state's attorney,
and they're like, "Oh, we need someone

who's experienced, who's vetted.

What about Diane Lockhart?

Set up a meeting." The way my eyes rolled
in my, rolled back in my head when,

when he said that, like why would that
ever be… Like that should be your last

thought. No, but that is how Peter thinks.

So they tell Alicia like, "Hey, you

the deposition." And she's like,
"Why?" They're like, "Well, like

maybe you could start a conversation
in front of this camera about, like,

what they left out of discovery."

And Alicia's like, "That's so slimy."
And they're like, "Well, is it?

Or is it self-defense?" And she's
like… Then we see her go to the

deposition and… Or like speaking of
slimy, here's Louis Canning. He starts

off, he starts everything else off and
they're like, "Any questions everyone?

Any questions?" Uh, Alicia
says hi to everyone except for

David Lee, which was great.

I love this as a running joke where every
time Amy gets in, Amy gets dressed for a

mock trial and David Lee gets left out.

And again he's like, "Do I not
rate?" Like, no David, you don't.

You don't rate.

But I love that, you know, because
Canning starts like, "Uh, Alicia,

thank you so much for being here.

You didn't need to be here, but, uh,
but you know, great that you did." And

she's like, "I just want to make…"
Like she's yelling to make sure she

gets- … like she's pro- Like, "I just
want to make sure that everything's

on the up and up." Like, wow.

Alicia's way of playing it off.

episode had me thinking of Survivor.

is like, "No, keep him in the room.

Keep him in the room." She's like,
"Uh, actually can we, can we have

the conversation here?" And Canning's
like, "Oh, yeah, like I didn't mean

to take Will's office, but like I just
thought it would look bad if no one

was-" And she's like, "Oh, oh, yeah.

Yeah, that's it." Yeah.

Yeah, that's it.

"I feel so distraught about Will I
cannot set foot in his office, so yes."

That's it.

"Exactly.

We have to do it in here 'cause

They're of course like, "What
the frick was that?" Like, "What

And while they're having this
conversation, Carrie notices a woman

on the other side of the glass.

Again, should probably put up some

But- Great… I mean, fantastic
eyes from Carrie, 'cause like- Yeah

I don't know how he did that.

He's like, "Hey, who is, who is
that?" They're like, "Oh, it's

the rest of the episode, we don't really

ever even actually come back to this- No

development at all.

It's like, "Pft, okay." No,
but there is like… Yes.

It's just like the fact that she's
there is unstabilizing, I think.

And it does come into play I
think later with some other

things, but we don't ever see it.

And at this point, Carrie then says,

And I was like, "That's rough."

So they are overhearing conversations
with, um, Diane and Julius and

one other person about possibly
merging with Lock-, uh, Floragogo's

and Lockhart Gardner merging.

And Diane says that Carrie wants
three years of Chumhu- money, and

Julius is like, "We can't do that."

And then we hear Diane go again straight
to Kalinda and says, "Hey, can you talk to

Carrie and see what's going on?" And she
like hesitantly like walks away, but she

does follow through with this, and Diane
says, "Kalinda has a way with Carrie.

We've exploited this before." Ow.

Ouch.

Ah.

Yeah, and you can just- I hurt for Carrie.

Yeah.

Ooh.

Yeah.

And like the way that this was filmed
and the score underneath it was so

good because- So good … it like,
it just like zeroes in on Carrie.

We hear this like high string, like ee.

Um- And, and, and for, and for this to
be happening like the way it's happening

with all of Flo- Fl- I mean, the most
important people at Floragogo's- Yeah

standing there with Carrie as this, as
this thing is being said about Carrie,

like, "Oh, yeah. Basically like we got
Carrie in our thumb. Like we, Kalinda

can make him do anything we want." Yeah.

puppet. We, we got, we got his ass.

Like, Kalinda's is, can use him
whenever we want her to use him."

And, and the w- and like you
said, like, Kalinda goes in

the corner and calls Kerry.

And like the, the tenseness of
the conversation is like, ugh.

he's like, "If you still want to." Like,

Like, all this, like- Yeah … yeah,

for it and Kerry is against. And Alicia's

last name as the governor.

Like, they're gonna put your name up
as, like, a name partner." And Alicia's

like, "Well, let's just ask that
yours get up there too." And Kerry's

like, "No, why would we do this?

Alicia's like, "Kerry, I'm tired.

Like, I'm tired of, like,
struggling to survive."

And she's like… And

with this whole, like, outside fight,
it's just like- Ali- like, I, I hear

Kiri's argument of like, "Alicia, we've
literally just started this firm- Yeah

a few months ago.

Like, obviously it was
not going to be easy.

that's what a new firm does.

For a new firm, we're doing pretty good.

have upped the pressure a little bit

So I wish we could have made that piece

for Alicia's argument because Alicia's

argument now is just like, "I mean, I

You know, they- … uh, coffee cart.

You know, I lo- I, I love that place."
And their version of walls and doors as

opposed to our version of walls- So much
better And, a- and I, you know, we keep

harping on this … I keep harping on
this fact that Alicia's like … Alicia

just once an episode is like, "I'm
so tired from all of this." I'm like,

but we … I just, I don't see it.

Like, as m- u- until she says this in
every episode, I'm like, okay, I guess.

But I feel like we haven't
had a consistent feeling-

Yeah … of dread from Alicia.

Of like, it happens once an episode,
but every other time it feels

like she's doing great at her job.

She's, she's out here moving and shaking.

She's quote-unquote changed.

But then once an episode she's like, "I'm
so tired, Carrie." It's like, "Really?"

Well, and like, and even in when she
talked to Eli last episode, he wa- she was

like, "It's about everything." Like all of
the- Yeah … like, like … And, and we

ha- we saw her mourn for like two seconds.

We didn't necessarily see
any, you know, other thing.

I did like the stuff like right after
Will's death where she was kind of

like spiraling in some sort of way,
but then it was just kind of like,

"Okay, we're done." And I'm not saying
that that doesn't happen for people.

But in this case, I think you're right.

and it fulfills the prophecy of them
being the new Will and Diane because this

is like classic Will and Diane- Mm-hmm

situations.

Will wants to, Will wants to be
aggressive and keep building, and

Diane is like, "I need stability." Yes.

We want like, we wanna
make sure that we're good.

And Will's like, "No, we got, we got
so much more we can do." And I, I

think that's where like the, what,
that's where Carrie and Alicia are.

Alicia wants to go back
to safety and security.

Because let's be honest, the only
reason that Alicia went to Floragogo's

and started Floragogo's was Will.

To get away from Will.

Because she had such- Of

steamy, hot, like tension with Will.

And now that Will's gone, she's just

Yeah, and I think like in a way,

very weird read, but it's like-
cu- like she is very comfortable.

outside the comfort zone of

her life that it was.

She was willing to do it so that she
didn't have to deal with the Will stuff.

But like you said, now that the
Will stuff is no longer part

of the equation, like she's not
comfortable having to build something.

here and say what this is actually about.

Diane does go meet with Peter, and,
uh, Kalinda's introduced to Peter

as a great girl Friday, to which I
wanted to be like, "This is horrible.

I love the weird reveal of Kalinda

in this scene where wa- yeah, you've
got, you've got Eli and Diane in the

foreground, and then they, they, they…

And Peter's like right in front of them,
and they… Like Eli, Eli and Diane part.

They're like, "Oh, there's Kalinda.
Pop goes the weasel." Like, pop goes

the affair, motherf- Like, here I am.

Like, isn't this weird?

We- we're back in person again
and first time in a long time.

And she says, "Okay, I shall consider
it." Mm. And on the way out, Kalinda

and Diane have a conversation.

Basically Kalinda checks in and is
like, "Hey, are you okay?" And she's

like, "What?" "About the fact that
I'm already vetted and not a Supreme

Court Justice, and then just filling
in because Finn's dropping out?

Yeah.

Yeah, I guess I'm okay.

Uh, can you look and see what I'd be up
against if I decided to do this?" And I

love… This is like, I think, a, a meme,
like a Diane Lockhart meme where she's

like, "I don't know, maybe I'll just
quit and go live in New Zealand." Yeah.

That was funny.

Uh, so then the next scene
is supremely uncomfortable.

Uh, Carrie and Kalinda are

And- AKA banging.

And- Kalinda says, "Stop." And Carrie
then takes a dominant position and

that Alicia is up by two in the vote.

And or like she wants to know what's
up, and Carrie doesn't answer.

at my firm that I built." What,

know what that is yet, but yes.

And Kalinda like, Kalinda walks up, she's
like, "Okay, what are you gonna do?" Like

as if Kalinda knows what's, what's up.

Like, "Do you have a bug in my office?
Did you just hear what happened with me

friends now because they talk so much.

situation, uh, situation happening there.

And then Veronica walks in, and

and the conversation stops.

not gonna be here." And Veronica's

And it seems like this is what
happens because Diane calls Eli

running for state's attorney," so.

Poor Eli.

Eli's like, "Why must everything be s-
so difficult?" The man is like sitting at

this empty table at Alicia's apartment.

I guess everybody else is going to go see
Zach graduate, and Eli- I know … just

left there in the apartment by himself.

Oh, Alicia does make it to
Zach's graduation just in time to

watch him walk across the stage.

proud … like literally she got there

right before he walked up on stage.

forced the kids down our throat

more, as much as they used to-
This time … in the early seasons.

kind of just looking at Zach's

room with all the boxes and kind
of like thinking this through.

Uh, she does pour herself a glass of
wine to sit down at the table with Eli,

and she's like, "It's been a weird day."
And Eli says, "It's been a weird year."

Mm. And as Alicia is drinking her wine,
uh, like Eli's looking at her and says,

"Hey, would you wanna run for state's
attorney?" And that's where this ends.

Which, you know, in of
itself is so bizarre.

It's like huh?

I honestly, like I know
I'm very Will-centered.

Mm-hmm.

Like I will say, I completely forgot about
this question, and I have no idea what the

decision about George- It's, I mean, I've,
if I remember correctly, it's gonna be a

plot line for, for a minute next season.

I bet, but I was just like, "Oh, okay.

I guess this is where we're going." But
if I didn't know, didn't know that, I

might think of like, "Eli, very funny."
Like we- Yeah … a weird, a weird way

to end a season but, you know, whatever.

No, I never probably would think they're
actually gonna roll with this plot

line in season six, but I'm pretty
sure they will if I remember correctly.

I mean, like where else is it gonna go?

So like we've got Diane joining
Florrick/Agos, which is like also

in the Diane Lockhart storyline-
Mm-hmm … important because

she's leaving Lockhart/Gardner.

A- a- if, you know, we didn't get
confirmation this is going through.

storylines I remember that I'm

not looking forward to revisiting.

feel, how we feel about it as we,

as we stumble upon these plot lines

I'm open to being surprised, but my
memory is not one of fond memories of the

last, the last two seasons of the show.
