Sam: Last time Zac wanna us
Last time, Zac, wanna us our, our recap?
Zac: Yes.
We all went into the mist,
so that would have been Anya,
Dorian, Reggie, and myself.
The mist tried to prevent
us from going into the town.
We get into the town.
It's a little decrepit
place, but it's very large.
We go to the church, find Isabelle
fighting three undead infected creatures.
I perch up on a roof,
start doing sharp shooting.
Everybody else is doing
close range encounters.
Anya gets her face split in two, dies.
We kill the brutes.
Anya gets revived because Isabelle
had a diamond and revivify.
And then we go into a tavern,
realize that everybody is pretty much
on LSD and thinks everything's
great and it's not.
We got a little bit of
a false hydra situation.
We also realize people are getting
branded if they see what is causing this.
Isabelle has six brands.
Five, six, something like that.
Three.
Kaleb: And I remember
Zac: I'm multiplying it.
Kaleb: So many
Zac: And then we go to the church.
I see it's a church of Tyr.
Homeboy's not worshiping Tyr.
I get mad.
De-escalate said situation.
Nothing happens.
Inner enlightenment.
I end up with a mark.
Damn.
We go to the graveyard.
Graveyard is mass burial.
Mass burial man does not give a shit
that I shoot his shovel out of his hand.
Continues burying.
Decide to look around.
We find homie.
Isabelle goes to grab homie's
tags with her bare hands, and
Kaleb: Bless.
Zac: we say,
Kaleb: Canonical
Zac: this," and she does this
Sky: Yep
Zac: So that's it
Sam: Awesome.
Sky: homie
Sam: RIP.
Rest in peace, homie.
Kaleb: homie.
Sam: Yeah, pour one out.
Perfect, and that's
where we're gonna begin.
Isabelle, you have, reached your hand
out and I'm ... I don't remember if
we made you do a con saving throw yet.
Did we do that?
Zac: I think we
Sky: I don't remember.
Kaleb: We had just ended
Sky: ended it
Zac: Yeah
Sam: Then we're gonna start there.
I need you to roll me a
constitution saving throw as you
kind of grab the, the dog tags.
This, like goo, ichor kind of starts to
kind of like venom kind of around your
fingers and tries to burrow into your skin
Sky: I was supposed to.
16.
Not bad.
Not bad
Sam: so you are able to like, like as
it, as you kind of touch it, it does
burrow under some of your skin, but it,
it, you're able to kind of like, like
kind of stiffen up and overcome like
from it burrowing super deep into it.
But it's still going to affect
you to the, just not to the same
degree, if that makes sense.
Sky: Det er jeg
Sam: As you grab the dog tags and have
this experience, the Grave Digger is
just like, "Ah, I wouldn't do that.
Wouldn't touch that if I were you."
Sky: I, it, it, it's too late.
I had to...
I- it's done
Sam: you just go around touching
things you shouldn't all the time?
Is that how that works?
Sky: my homie, yeah
Sam: Oh, homie.
Okay.
You, you knew the kid?
Sky: The...
Yeah, yeah, I knew homie.
Uh, he was a good guy.
Good guy
Sam: yeah, well, was, yeah.
Sky: Was, yep
Sam: yeah, it was.
He's dead.
Sky: I don't remember him
dying, but I guess he died
Sam: so what, what brings you guys around?
Sky: Then I like look at everybody else
Kaleb: would you believe
us if we said vacation?
Sam: Nah.
People are strange.
People vacation in random places, so
Kaleb: And of open-mindedness, I see.
I, I, I appreciate your candor.
Uh
Sam: It's not like we have
any, like, the nicest places to
stay or coolest things to see.
People try to usually leave from here,
but if you wanna come here for a vacation,
like, you know, it's your business
Kaleb: Well, on the topic of things
to see, uh, if one were to look for
points of interest in this town,
what, uh, what would you suggest?
What would you point us towards?
Sam: Oh.
Well, the church.
It's really pretty.
Has some good, uh, good
stained glass in there.
there's a haunted house
somewhere around here.
I've even heard, I've heard of
it and I haven't seen it, but
Kaleb: And, what direction
might we find that?
Sam: Um, I don't know.
Probably- Kind of looks
around, kind of squints.
And as you kind of, as you guys kind
of like follow his gaze, you just see
like the thick fog like all around
you, and he goes, "Uh, I don't know.
What, what are we talking about?"
Kaleb: The, uh, the haunted house.
You, you gave us, uh, a glowing
re- glowing re- uh, reviews of it.
Said it was a place that many,
many would, like, need to see,
Sam: there's a haunted house?
Where?
Kaleb: I'm gonna turn back
to the group and say, "Well,
we know at least there's a house.
Uh, I don't think he's
gonna be much help to us."
Grace: Indeed
Kaleb: Did we,
Sam: do you guys already, um,
investigate the graveyard?
I couldn't remember if we had
Kaleb: Yes, we found, like claw marks
etched into the back of several,
Sam: Right,
Kaleb: the
Sam: Right.
You guys also noticed, roll me
perception checks real quick
Kaleb: Of course
Zac: 13
Kaleb: It's a nat one, baby
Sam: Ooh,
Grace: Eleven
Sam: Ooh.
Sky: I have a plus nine
Sam: that's really good.
Isabelle, kind of out of the corner
of your eye you see, something kind
of move out from behind the, one of
the gravest- gravestones and, like,
quickly sk- like skitter across
the, the ground behind the church
Sky: Guys.
That, uh, and she just kind
of points in that direction.
Something
just, like, ran back there
Zac: I'm on
it.
And I'm, I'm gonna...
And you, you're just gonna see him
turn into a bat and fly ri- try to
this thing as close as possible.
Sam: Awesome
Zac: I'm
Grace: Yes.
Sam: Mar- Martha?
Zac: Justice.
Sam: It's, it's, all
right, the dumbest movie
Zac: Ah.
Sam: in the best way.
Um, okay.
So you turn into a bat and you kind
of fly over and you round, you round
the cor- round the corner and Van,
what you see is like, like a rat
with like eight, with like eight legs
that's like scurrying across, down
this kind of like, if you can imagine
the, the church is on a hill, right?
And the graveyard's kind of in the back.
It kind of scurries down the hill to
the kind of the, the far right of the
church into a kind of lower part where
there's like this kind of big crypt
Zac: Yeah, fuck that.
And I'm gonna fly back and,
tell the group real quick
Fun fact about Van Draven, he
is extremely arachnophobic.
Sky: å¯ã
Zac: to the group and he's gonna
say, uh, "There's a, there's a,
um, a spider rat, a rat spider.
There's a, there's a
thing and there's a crypt.
The thing went in the crypt."
Kaleb: Pave, and I
Zac: rat
Kaleb: can't help but notice,
um, your usual demeanor seems
to have cracked just a bit.
Zac: I don't know.
I don't, uh, you're,
Kaleb: there's no shame, but-
Zac: Nope.
Nope.
Don't know what you're talking about.
Oh,
Kaleb: all in favor of
chasing after the spider rat?
Grace: As good a lead as any
Kaleb: All right.
Let's
Zac: Lead the way.
I'll stay in the back
Grace: And you know, what is a
crypt but a house for dead people?
So might be what he's talking about.
Kaleb: the best, mo- most
information we've got to go off of.
Let's go.
All right, let's take
off and follow Spider Rat
Sam: Awesome.
You guys, follow where spider wreck
it goes and you see, it kind of
scurries underneath like the, like
this, a grate that ha- like a, like
a portcullis gate that's kind of
barring entrance into this, crypt.
The crypt has a long, like, arch and
over the, over, like, the, the arch
are, is, is a name etched out in Elvish
Zac: Ooh.
Can anyone read Elvish?
Grace: I speak
Sky: can read Elvish
Sam: The name etched across is Elora Thorn
Zac: It's Kithric's long lost daughter.
We're about to fight Myrkul, guys
Grace: like one or like a surname or
is that like a full name of a single
Sam: That's a, it's like a
full name of a, of a person.
Yeah
Zac: And it's what thorn again?
Sam: Elara
Zac: Elera.
The crypt of Elera Thorn
OK
Kaleb: This is a dumb question.
Is the door open?
If we try to open it, does it open?
Uh,
Sam: can touch it
Kaleb: it.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna touch
it, try to open the door.
Sam: Dorian reaches his hand out
to grab the door and then the
portcullis swings open, unlocked
Kaleb: Cool.
I was fully expecting to get my hand bit
off, but we're just gonna roll with it.
Exactly.
A pit opens up and I die.
Sam: It's the ultimate
enemy of D&D players, doors
Kaleb: Doors.
Adam: The spiderwright didn't have
time to, lock the, door behind him, so
Kaleb: rat.
I'm
Zac: Spider rat
Kaleb: Spider rat.
Sam: Ba da ba.
Okay
Kaleb: I mean, I, I look to the group.
Well, I mean, it's not locked,
and I don't think anybody's going
to fight us on exploring this, so
Draven, I'm going to take it you
want to continue staying in the back?
Zac: Yeah.
Yeah, that'll be, uh, preferable
Kaleb: Uh, Reggie, would you like
to either follow behind
me or lead in front of me?
You seems to be, you
know, of a stockier build
Zac: Reggie.
Reggie, stop thinking about baked goods
Adam: Sorry, I was looking
at my character sheet.
Explain, explain that again.
I was thinking of what I
wanted to do, so sorry.
My
Grace: It's time to lock in, Reginald
Kaleb: He's thinking about the tarts
that Mama Cumberbatch makes him.
Adam: My bad.
Kaleb: Uh, no,
Adam: again.
Kaleb: no Dorian looks to Reggie
and says, "Reggie, would you, uh,
you are stockier build than myself,
would, would you mind leading the way?
I'll follow behind"
Adam: S-s-sure.
That, that's fine.
I don't get scared easily, sir
Kaleb: Uh, my sweet, brave boy, you
Adam: So, uh, Reggie will, will,
uh, will walk into the crypt first
Kaleb: All
Sam: All right.
Reg, you, you walk into the
crypt and there is like the
kind of this like stairway.
If you guys have ever been to like,
the, like an old like hou- houses on
the East Coast where you, you walk
in and there's like an up and a down,
but you're like in the middle landing.
That's kind of what you guys see.
So you walk in this middle landing and
you s- these old stairs going up and
like mossy stairs kind of going down.
Both are pretty dark.
There's no like natural
light or lit torches in here.
You just have the light of
the moon and kind of whatever
ambience is kind of coming through
you or coming from behind you.
You guys do smell that it's not, um...
So because, right, it's a,
it was a portcullis, the...
It's not like musty, but you
definitely do smell, uh, death in here.
It does smell awful
Zac: Okay.
Um
Adam: Well, it's kind of dark.
I don't have dark vision, so we're
gonna need to light something
Zac: you.
Sky: I will, I'll cast light on you,
Zac: Oh yeah, I was about
to say I had light too.
That's what I was about to do.
Reggie's gonna get double lighted.
He's
Sky: Double lighted.
Kaleb: Caspar
Adam: I choose the
Sky: flashlight.
Adam: C-can I choose the color?
Kaleb: Please
Zac: know if that's how that works, Reggie
Sam: Reggie, you are glowing.
Sky: So
Adam: See?
See?
Sky: could choose what
color do you want, Reggie?
Adam: I, I would like my lack 'cause it
reminds me of Mama Cumberpatch's d- dress
Zac: God
Sky: I will do lilac for you.
Zac: I think Reggie's
got a Oedipus complex.
I mean
Sky: Apple's
Kaleb: friend, you, you s-
you never cease to amaze me
Zac: Okay, so Reggie's sure glowing
Sam: glowing li- you're glowing lilac.
Like a, like a beautiful sundress
Kaleb: Every part of me was
hoping you would say gold.
Sam: You see?
Yeah.
Kaleb: it would be so good
Sam: Reggie, do you wanna go up
or down?
Adam: I didn't know that
crypts had a split level.
That's cool
Zac: Right, she's gonna die first
Sam: We can only hope so
Sky: I can only help
Sam: Up or down?
Adam: The rest of my scope
Sam: Okay.
You guys, uh, walk up and the
other up- the, the, the upper
room is, is pretty small.
But it looks like a, Give me quick
perception checks as you guys kinda enter.
But at first glance you see this kind of
like, almost like a, like a treasure room.
27, awesome.
Like a treasure room of, like, a
pharaoh style, so a lot of, like,
gold and jewels, and there's a
one single chest kinda in the back
that has, like, a gold lock on it.
But there's still a lot of other treasure
and gold kind of around this, in this room
Adam: That seems pretty cursed to me
Zac: yeah.
I was gonna say, can I do an arcana check?
Grace: It'll almost certainly kill us
Kaleb: This would, yeah,
Adam: I kind of want to touch it though
Zac: big metal
Kaleb: don't trust, don't touch anything,
Zac: Never mind, a four ain't happening
Sam: Van, this is, Treasure
Zac: All right, guys.
Sam: I'll treasure
Kaleb: I had done that with him, 'cause
Adam: I rolled a 19 for
Kaleb: I was gonna say,
I rolled, I rolled a 28.
Zac: Damn
Sam: Nice.
So Van thinks this is treasure.
And Dorian, you guys, kind of instantly
clock the, the, the, the outlines
of like fangs along the outskirts
of the, the tre- the treasure hoard.
And then who rolled the
higher intelligence?
Was it Dorian?
Adam: Yeah, it'll be Dorian
Kaleb: that was
Sam: Dorian, this is a hoard mimic
Kaleb: Of course it is.
are we in the actual room itself?
Are we
Sam: No, you guys, you guys, you guys, I
picture you guys kind of peeked in first.
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Sam: you saw is you, like, walked up
the stairs and peeked your head in
Kaleb: G is going to very calmly just
put his ha- Do- Dorian's gonna put his
hand very calmly on Reggie and just kind
of ever slow- slowly just inch him back.
No one step into the room.
That entire
Adam: a tongue on it
Kaleb: Correct.
D- Reggie saw it.
That entire room is a mimic.
Do, do not walk in there, please.
Zac: it looks like treasure.
What do you mean?
Kaleb: Is there like a rock
or something, a piece of stone
that I can see, like near me?
Like
Sam: Oh yeah, for sure.
For sure.
Mm-hmm.
Kaleb: I'm just gonna pick the rock
up and just toss it into the room
Sam: You kinda like get the rock and
lob it in there and it goes clunk,
clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, and like
sits there for like a couple seconds,
and the gold just kinda like, like
gets around it and like consumes it and
then goes away, and the rock is gone
Zac: Okay
Kaleb: Hey, Ben.
It's not treasure, man.
It's so much worse
Zac: Hmm.
Okay.
Good eye
Kaleb: So down we go.
Zac: Downstairs it
Kaleb: Unless there's something somebody
wants to do in this very dangerous
room, but don't think it's the best idea
Sam: All right.
Kaleb: All right.
Grace: And there was that chest
if you wanna double check if
that's part of the mimic, but
Kaleb: I mean, that is in like
the back of the room, is it not?
Sam: УгÑ
Grace: could throw me
Kaleb: Would he have levitate or fly?
Zac: Okay, I got an idea.
Could I shoot the lock?
On the chest
Sam: you can try
Kaleb: rope bridge moment?
Sky: another rope bridge moment.
Sam: Henry
Zac: That's a 25 to hit?
Sam: 25.
Dorian, you kind of, you draw back
your bow and let loose a, an arrow,
and it strikes true on the, on the,
the lock, but it just pings off
with like a magical, like off a
magical force field around the lock
Zac: Magic lock.
We need whatever's downstairs
Kaleb: Yeah
Zac: Hmm.
Kaleb: I'd say let's, let's make our
way, let's make our way downstairs then
Zac: Yep.
Sam: OK
Zac: was fairish
Adam: Th- this is a beautiful
purple hue working through the grips
Kaleb: Does really, does
really brighten up the place
Sam: it does.
You guys, walked further down and it's
about like a 10-minute descent into the,
kind of the deeper part of, of this crypt.
But it kind of opens up into a, a big
long central room with just a, massive
sarcophagus, in the center of the room
that has the lid slightly kind of cracked
Zac: And we see what's through
the, like in the sarcophagi
Sam: If you get closer to it, but
right now you guys are, if you
guys are on the, like the steps,
it's in the center of the room.
You can just see that the lid's been
kind of cracked open a little bit
Zac: Okay.
I am going to turn into a bat and
hang upside down above it to see
what, if I can see what's in it
Sam: Yeah, yeah.
So Van, you turn into a bat and
you do the thing, and, it's empty.
You don't see anything in it
Zac: All right, I'm gonna
unbat and, back to the group.
I'm not gonna do it right there.
I'm gonna say, "There's nothing in there.
No vampires."
Adam: You thought this was vampires?
Zac: I- I'm just saying it's a crypt.
And, you
Adam: there's a lot of things that crips
Zac: Reggie, think about it, sweetheart.
Kaleb: And we notice there's no
other, like, anything of interest
or defining feature in the room.
It's just the big
Sam: No, just the big sarcophagi
in the middle of the room
Kaleb: Is it just
Zac: what about getting in it?
What about like someone
getting in the sarcophagus?
I'll do it.
I don't care.
Kaleb: David, I'm not gonna
fight you on that one, please.
Zac: fine.
We've gotta find out
what's happening here.
If no one else will do it, I will.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna g-
Grace: quick divine
Zac: in the sarcophagi.
Why not?
Sam: You step in
Kaleb: what you say?
Zac: Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna go in it
Sam: Van, you kinda like step inside the
sarcophagus, and make me a strength saving
throw as, as you step in, there's like
a force that's gonna pull you into the
sarcophagus and close the lid behind you
Zac: Nah, not gonna work.
Five.
Sam: Okay.
So you get pulled into the sarcophagus
and the, and the lid closes shut.
It's a DC 27, unless it helps in that.
Kaleb: No, absolutely not
Sam: you like see a, like the last
bit of light as, as the lid closes,
and for a split second you see
nothing, you hear nothing, and all,
it all goes super dark and silent.
and then three seconds later you
are, you kind of wake up or like you
gain your vision back, and you are on
the fl- on a, like a hardwood floor
looking up at a, at a chandelier
in a place you don't recognize.
the rest of you, as the, as the
thing is closes shut, the, the, the
back of the wall starts to glow and
there's a large, like runic s- arcane
script along the back kind of lining
the wall like in a, in an archway
Kaleb: What does the runic script say?
Or does it in a language that we notice or
Sam: it's in like arcane.
You can make like an
arcana check for it
Sky: I'll give you guidance
Kaleb: Yeah.
what does that give me?
Sky: Adieu voor
Kaleb: Before, mm, I'm gonna
Sam: pat on the
Kaleb: Actually, no.
What is it?
So I'm sitting at 12 with guidance.
Did not roll well
Sam: Dorian, even though you didn't roll
well, you can still decipher what it says.
And it says, "Those who carelessly undo
the works of death must pay the toll."
But you do get something else with the 12.
Like you can kind of make the inference
of there's something, you know,
magical going on with this town and
whoever's behind it is super powerful.
Kaleb: I'm gonna step into the room 'cause
we gotta see if we can
get that sarcophagus open
Sam: Okay.
you step kind of forward into the, into
the, the runic arch and it kind of meshes
and you can walk right through and you're
now standing, in a field facing a house
Zac: I'm so
Kaleb: I turn behind me,
is that archway there?
Or did it fully just teleport me
Sam: it's, it's still there.
And you guys kind of see, like, as
Dorian steps through, it's almost
like he, is being painted in, like,
an oil painting inside the grooves or
inside the arch of this, arcane runes
Grace: It's just
Kaleb: So they see the, the,
the scene in front of me and
then me as like a oil painting.
If I turn around and walk back through
the arch, do I get back to them?
Sam: is that what you wanna do?
Kaleb: yeah, let's go ahead and try
Sam: Okay, sorry.
Yeah, so you, you are able to successfully
come, to and from the painting
Kaleb: That could have been real bad.
I'm gonna look at the group and say,
"I cannot begin to tell you what is
happening, but, that's a, it's a portal.
what you see on the wall is
what you walk through and see.
Grace: I know.
Sam: pulled into the matrix
Grace: Oh, no
Zac: Grace
Kaleb: Grace actually
walked through the portal.
Zac: Yeah,
Grace: don't know what happened
Zac: is going through
that portal right now"
Kaleb: That full derailed
my entire train of thought.
I was like...
I look up, I'm like, "What?"
Grace: sorry.
I was really hoping it
was just on my screen
Sam: give a, a
Zac: her face and
Sam: of this
Zac: like...
Kaleb: Congratulations, everyone
just got a free epilepsy test.
Grace: You
Zac: Excuse me.
I'm so sorry.
Kaleb: Dorian's gonna be like, "Well,
it, what you see in the painting,
that's where that takes us."
And just to confirm, this archway,
like with the painting, that's on
the other side of the sarcophagus.
Like, we walk past that to get to there,
and then I walk straight through it.
Okay, cool.
and, I, un- can we try to, if we
try to open the sarcophagus, I'm
guessing that lid just doesn't budge
Sam: Yeah, it's not gonna budge
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Zac: That's gonna be the ongoing thing
Kaleb: Yep, Zac's character,
all of Zac's characters either
die or get disappeared somehow.
well, seeing as the sarcophagus isn't
going to open, I guess push forward,
unless anyone has any object- objections
Grace: Why not?
Sky: it
Kaleb: Reggie Hopefully he didn't land
in a room full of those rat spiders.
That would be very bad.
Sam: You guys,
Kaleb: I guess let's
Sam: walk through the, the,
this portal painting thing.
and you could see if, like, the
camera pulls back as you guys enter.
it, it's the oil painting of
you guys standing in, in this
field in front of this house.
Van, you come to, on this
very cold hardwood floor.
You look up and see a chandelier.
what are you doing?
Zac: Yeah.
Adam: He's gonna swing from it
Zac: Okay, so what, what's around me?
Like, what's in
Sam: Yeah.
So as you kind of get up and, like,
kind of come to yourself, you look
around and you see, like, you're in,
like, this, a foyer of a, of like
a, this building, like in a foyer
Zac: Okay.
is there anything in
the room specifically?
Sam: So as you kind of stand up, you
notice there's, there's two rooms, one
to your right and one to your left.
The one, on the right
looks like a library.
The other one looks like a study.
Across from you is a kind of
entryway desk table with a mirror,
and behind you is a door with
something hanging kind of above it
Zac: I'm definitely going in the library
Sam: Awesome.
Zac: It's a big-ass sarcophagus
Sam: Van, as you enter, this library,
you kind of notice that the bookshelves
kind of just forever go up into,
this kind of dark abyss above you,
and these endless shelves kind of
rise up into the gloom, thick air.
There's a lone lantern that flickers kind
of on a chain in the center of the room,
casting kind of these weird, shadows.
And underneath that lantern sits
a, pristine pedestal holding
a book that's currently open
Zac: Here we go.
Bat.
I'm gonna turn into a bat and fly
up there to see what that book is.
Sam: you look at the, at the book
and it's written in, in plain common.
and it really has only like two or three
kind of like scribbles inside of it.
one of the lines says, "Oblivion's grasp."
Another line reads, "Memories consumed."
And then last line reads,
"Eater beyond names."
Zac: Eater beyond names?
Sam: MhmmMhmmã Yes,
Zac: can I roll s- maybe like a
history or something to see if I can,
like, figure out what this means?
Sam: Please do
Zac: All right.
Oh, that's not bad.
Sam: 16.
Awesome.
You said this is a history check?
Zac: Mhm
Sam: Perfect.
You, you've heard of, of some, like,
warlocks referring to a particular
being called the Eater Beyond Names,
and it's, from what you can understand,
it's a common patron of some warlocks
Zac: A eater beyond names,
common patron for warlocks.
Okay.
I'm gonna fly back down
Sam: OK
Zac: you said there
was a study too, right?
Sam: is a study.
Zac: I'm gonna go in the study
Sam: Awesome.
As you enter the study, it's a, it's
this kind of really long, warm study
with a hearth that's currently not
lit, with a desk and a chair and
a grandfather clock in the corner.
And all along the, the walls
are like spiral portraits.
Kind of think of like Van Gogh
Starry Night kind of vibe of just
spiral portraits all lining the
entire- entirety of the room.
we're gonna swap back to
the rest of the party.
You guys are now in this field.
No idea where you are,
no idea where Van is
But in front of you does stand
Kaleb: a house, yeah?
Sam: a tall, imposing house
Kaleb: that's just open field
with just the house, correct?
Sam: Mm-hmm.
I mean, there's like a garden
in front of the house with like
some scarecrows, but it's just a
house from where, what you can see
Grace: Heck yeah, let's
go steal some tomatoes
Kaleb: I mean, should we, seeing
as there's a, a disturbing lack
of anything other than this
house, I'd say let's take a look
Yeah.
Dorian's just gonna start
walking up to the house
Sam: Okay
Kaleb: Unless anybody else has
any objections or other ideas
Sky: Nope.
I am just gonna casually
Death Ward myself as we walk.
Sam: All right.
Sky: Just a little, "You got this.
It's okay."
Kaleb: instilling such confidence.
Cool.
So, do we notice anything, like, distinct
about the house other than the fact
that there's a big garden outside?
Sam: So as you kind of walk up, you
know, the things that you see initially
are kind of this, walled garden kind of
lining the whole building with an archway
and a couple scarecrows that are kind of
posted up with, like, pumpkins for heads.
but there's two of them.
They're both wearing, like, this
pristine we- white wedding dress
Kaleb: Both of the scarecrows are?
Sam: mhm
Zac: Oh
Sky: yeah,
Grace: Oh yeah
Zac: Hell yeah
Kaleb: Hell, hell yeah, brother.
Zac: Hell yeah, brother
Kaleb: yeah.
So these, like you said,
they're like pristine.
Like, these look like they're brand new.
Sam: УгÑ
Kaleb: cool.
And you said that there's pumpkins
for heads on the scarecrows?
Sam: Correct
Kaleb: Can I roll something
perception s- it...
are these scarecrows made of people?
Are these just scarecrows?
Zac: Are these people
Sam: yeah, you can look at
Kaleb: are these scarecrow's bodies
or are these actual just scarecrows?
Sam: they look like scarecrows.
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Sam: Like actual, actual legit scarecrows.
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Sam: Not
Kaleb: Got it.
Sam: No.
Grace: poke one with a
stick just to be sure
Kaleb: I, I was gonna say, Sam, forgive me
if I am skeptical of things when I, when
Sam: No, please.
Zac: Forgive me,
Kaleb: Yeah, I guess we can just
continue walking up to the door
unless there's something else
that somebody wants to look at
Oh,
Grace: Yeah, let's do
Kaleb: Cool.
Yep.
Let's walk right up to the door
Sam: you guys walk up to the
door, you pass the scarecrows.
the scarecrows, their heads kinda
turn and watch you as, you walk, but
they don't actually interact with you.
They kinda just, stare.
the pumpkin head just kind of rotates.
the body stays still, right?
you get to the front door,
and it's currently unlocked
Kaleb: Trying to decide if I
should test my luck with two doors
Grace: Look for traps
Kaleb: Yeah, I'm gonna turn to Anya.
and anything weird about
this door that you notice?
Grace: Well, let's find out.
investigation, I'm assuming
we're going for here
That one
Sam: it, it, no, no traps
Grace: Looks fine
Sam: Looks great.
Let's get to work
Zac: Great
Kaleb: All right, well
Are, so are there, is there, like, windows
or anything that we can see into the
Sam: There are windows you can look into
Kaleb: What can we see
through the windows?
Sam: do you want to go right
or the left of the house?
Kaleb: Left
Sam: you go to the left and you peer
through the windows and you see a
study with spiral paintings on the wall
Kaleb: And there's that.
It's just empty.
The room's empty.
Sam: n-
Adam: there, there's a pumpkin.
there's a pumpkin-headed
scarecrow with a st- with a book
Kaleb: gonna scare...
Zac: there's a fucking bat
flying around in there.
What's that all about?
Sam: Yeah, you do see a solitary bat
just kinda like checking everything out
Kaleb: Yeah.
I'm gonna relay that to the group.
Like, doesn't seem to be anybody home,
at least not where I'm saying is...
Do we see anything
through the other window?
Sam: through the other window you
see, like, a giant library through
the other window on the right
Kaleb: I'm assuming also
empty other than, anything?
Sam: a bat
Kaleb: It's a bat.
Zac: What?
Kaleb: Yeah, let's just
open the door then.
Sam: So the door's open and untrapped.
You
Kaleb: in.
Sam: it's untrapped.
Adam: plate
Zac: just remembered the detail
where he was like, "Yeah, there's
something hanging above the door
behind you," and I was like, "Oh.
Oh."
Kaleb: act- it's actually Spider Rat.
It's Spider Rat who's waiting on me
Zac: Oh,
Sam: Weird wedding.
you guys open the door
into this beautiful, foyer.
You see Van kind of like moving
from the library across to the
study that Pierre's peeking his head
Kaleb: bat form
Sam: He's 100% in bat form.
Zac: it's just floating across.
Kaleb: You see
Zac: I can't figure it out.
What the hell does it mean?
Where's Rachel?
Kaleb: Where's Martha?
Sam: you walk into the same room.
if you walk through the front door
directly opposite you is a guest table
with, some books and stuff on it.
Above it is a mirror.
To the right and left of you is a, study
and a library, and then behind you above
the door is a key hanging from a nail
Adam: Reggie's gonna
go sign the guest book
Sam: Yeah.
Kaleb: Reggie, no.
What have you done?
Zac: Have we not put it together?
It's like an Eldritch area.
We're not really supposed
to fuck with things, you
Kaleb: Ja
Grace: that spooky book
say something about names?
What could that be about?
Kaleb: What?
Zac: Let's put our name in it
Adam: But my, Mama Cumberbatch told me
to be a polite guest in people's homes,
you have to follow their rules, and if
they have a guest book, you have to write
your names in it so that way they know
that they appreciate you and yourself
being here as guests of their home
Sam: true.
Reggie, this was written for you.
I had you in mind when
I put this together.
I was like, "He's
gonna freaking do
You get
Kaleb: Your, your lack of
concern for your own wellbeing
Sam: But, but it, but
it makes for great D&D.
Zac: Thus
Sam: Imagine if characters played
it the way it's supposed to be
played, nothing would get done.
Adam: Yeah, man, Draven.
Zac: What are you guys doing here?
Grace: I could ask you the same thing
Kaleb: Ben, better question,
what are you doing here?
Zac: Well, I got in the,
sarcophagi and I teleported here.
How did y'all get here?
Adam: Reroute to the portal
Grace: through another door
Kaleb: We walked through
an oil painting on a wall.
I was going to give you a hard time
for jumping through the c- sarcophagus.
I really don't have a
leg to stand on myself
Adam: we jumped through a painting
like Mario 64, and then we were
transported to another place
Sam: Woo-hoo!
Sky: now
Zac: saying,
Sam: It's a great
Zac: I got here faster, and
I've already found things out.
I don't know what they mean, but
there is an Eater Beyond Names.
I believe that's, that's
what we're dealing with here.
It's a, patron entity of warlocks.
And, yeah, there's other paintings
here, so I'm assuming those are places
Oh shit, I'm still in bat form.
Kaleb: just been talking
Zac: Yeah.
Yeah, he pops out of bat form
Sam: Awesome.
Reggie
Kaleb: voice coming out of a bat
Sam: Reggie, you and
the, the book have, have,
have a date, correct?
All right.
You, you pull up the entry table and you
see the, the, the guest book lying there.
There's a little bottle of
ink sitting right there.
And you kind of flip and look,
and you can see a bunch of,
names that are written down.
I'm actually gonna send these
in the group chat 'cause I don't
wanna read all these to you 'cause
that would take me way too long
presence
Kaleb: what did you say the name of
the van, the, the name van found was?
Zac: The
Sam: the eater beyond names
Kaleb: Here be our
Zac: Patron saint of the warlocks.
Well, it's patron of the warlocks
Sam: All right, so I sent you guys a
list of the entries in the, in the, book.
Reggie, as you go to sign it, I need
you to make me a wisdom saving throw.
Adam: let me pull up my character
Zac: Where'd you put the names at in the
Sam: In chat.
Zac: Oh, I see it right
Sam: should have put them in lower
Zac: Yeah.
Lady of Three Widows, Hellcrar
Kaleb: for drill
Adam: A 19
Sam: 19.
Ooh, awesome.
so that, that succeeds.
You, you, you definitely feel like as you
kind of write your name in this book that
there's some- something was trying to get
at you or get to you, but you were able
to, successfully, stave it off for now
Adam: And Reggie signs it Reginald
Cumberbatch III in perfect cursive.
Just, the most probably immaculate
cursive that anyone has ever seen before
Kaleb: å¦
Sam: as your pen kind of leaves it, it
like solidifies over the, the, the writing
Adam: that way they know Benji's been
here and that we are guests of this home
Sam: OK
Kaleb: So you mentioned
there was a key that was like
across the room from like...
Is that near the book at all?
Sam: And no, it's opposite,
opposite the, the book.
It's hanging actually
over the doorway on a nail
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Ben, you said you found some things.
what else were you able to find?
Zac: That was it.
That was literally it.
The one thing.
I found one thing.
Then you came in the door
Kaleb: a question, question.
H- how much, like, did he, how long was
he in the house before we showed up?
Like, 'cause from our perspective, he went
through the sarcophagus, and then it was a
couple of minutes before we hit the house.
Sam: Yeah, you can roll
me a perception check
Kaleb: That's a nat 20
Zac: I
Sam: hi- his beard is significantly longer
Kaleb: Does he have any extra marks?
Zac: Oh.
Kaleb: It does need cough marks.
Sam: four, Vanna has four extra marks
Zac: Oh, Van's got four now,
and they're all over his...
Yeah, they're going over his face.
Kaleb: got a barcode
going across his face now?
Sky: Bark gun?
Adam: Wow, it's pulling up...
As he scans it, it pulls up a banana.
what does that mean?
Sam: It's winter.
Winter bananas $6 a pound.
Zac: I'm gonna look at, Dorian.
I'm gonna say, what are you looking at?
What are you insinuating?"
Kaleb: And then how long were you here?
Zac: Yeah, I just got here.
Kaleb: is there a mirror
anywhere in this room?
Sam: Yeah.
Kaleb: Dorian's gonna pull Van over
to the mirror and show him the mirror.
it's a mirror.
It just opens up and, and melts both of us
Adam: You've won a Quiddit- Quidditch Cup.
Kaleb: yeah, Dorian's gonna show
Van his reflection and like,
Sam: Awesome
Kaleb: I don't
Zac: There's no reflection
Kaleb: Correct.
Van's a vampire
Sam: is Van a vampire?
Van, yeah, what do you see
when you look in the mirror?
Are you there?
Zac: yeah, no, I, I'm
gonna assume I'm there.
Van's gonna see that he,
exactly what you described.
He's got a longer beard and marks
on his head, and he's gonna be
like, "You've gotta be shitting me"
Are you serious?
Are we serious right now?
Okay, obviously this
is some, time dilation.
And, but I can swear to you I've only been
here a few minutes, in my perspective.
Kaleb: I was gonna say, friend,
it's been quite a bit longer
Zac: Oh, okay
So
The Eater Beyond Names is what we know.
Sam: Keep going
Zac: Velma Thorn is definitely
related to Elora Thorn.
That is not a coincidence.
Ashen Fordrill, don't know who that is.
Nurse of the Hollow Cradle, Devil
Sealed, Always Watching, Never Signed,
Sixth the Guests, and the Redacted.
I'm going to assume that one of
the redacted or not listed guests
is Elora Thorn, if I had to guess.
But what do these names
play into all this?
Adam: Forgot to add Reginald
Cumberpatch to that list
Zac: Oh yeah, Reg,
Grace: Yep.
Kaleb: So
Grace: Did we get the name of the
guy we talked to in the church?
Kaleb: priests
Zac: I would assume he is
Brother Silas if I was...
Or Father Casimir?
I don't know.
I didn't re- was that
Sam: never, you never asked his
Kaleb: We never asked his name.
Zac: shit
Sam: I will, I'll say there were
several things when you guys talked
to the priest and to the barkeep.
You, there were a lot of questions
I had ready, but you guys didn't ask
Zac: All right.
Kaleb: want more
Zac: Well, do you blame it on me?
Y'all could have walked in too.
Kaleb: Wait, didn't the, didn't the
barkeeper give me, give us his name?
Sam: He did.
His name was Gavin
Kaleb: Gavin,
Zac: Gavin
Kaleb: Gavin, okay, cool.
Devil sealed.
Great.
Sky: I'm calling.
Zac: Okay, so we can only assume
that Brother Silas or Father
Kasmeer was one of the two.
Kaleb: Damn
Zac: or was the preacher guy,
so he's definitely one of them
Adam: Sixth guess was probably Homie.
RIP
Sky: Poor homie.
Kaleb: Yeah, rip homie,
Sam: happy humming.
Kaleb: Or not to homie.
Zac: Well, we don't know any context
to what these names have, so let's look
around, you know, investigate the study.
Sam: Yeah.
Yep.
Kaleb: Yeah
Sam: do.
Please do.
Adam: I need Grace to
Zac: Nat 20
Adam: day and just like, "You
see here, I got the evidence
right here in this notepad."
Kaleb: Said I was crazy.
Grace: like this one?
Kaleb: me I
Adam: then every time she writes it
out, it just in my mind it's like
black and white scene with jazz music
plays in a trench coat and a hat.
It's like, "You see here, we're
gonna solve this mystery."
Grace: I love that you
have confidence in me.
Sam: yeah, so on the, on the,
we go through the kind of
the, the recap of the room.
You have all these paintings
kind of hanging on the wall.
These have like spiral,
like Starry Night images.
You have a grandfather clock, kind of
sitting in the corner, and then you have
this kind of desk with all these scattered
notes, about kind of all like ripped up,
ripped up pages and kind of like pages
taken out of books, that kind of thing.
Zac: But nothing that catches
our eye, like right off the bat
Sam: I wouldn't know.
Not, not really, unless you wanna
investigate, like, something in particular
Grace: All right, I need a corkboard,
some thumbtacks, and string
Kaleb: you, you see Anya start
tacking things to the walls.
You're like
Zac: we'll investigate the
grandfather clock, I guess.
Kaleb: Yeah, I'd like to take a
Sky: I give someone guidance,
Zac: Who's, has anybody got
a plus in investigation?
Sky: Got a minus
Grace: nine, but my rolls have
Kaleb: I have a plus nine as well
Zac: Okay.
Adam: Det blir alltid
Sky: to one of you
Kaleb: to, to, to who?
W- who is one of us?
Sky: It doesn't matter.
Kaleb: No, Baz wouldn't get
Grace: Nineteen
Sam: 19.
Kaleb: Yeah, no, I definitely didn't get
Sam: Anya, what you see, we walk
up to the grandfather clock and
you see that the time currently
set is about 10:30 on the clock.
you do notice with the 19, you hear
kind of like what you could best
describe as the shifting of gears,
but they're not quite shifting.
Like they're trying to shift to the next
gear slot, but they seem to be stuck
Kaleb: So it reads 10:30,
Grace: watch it for like a minute or so?
Is it moving at all
Sam: No, it does not move
Grace: Okay.
Zac: ã
Grace: Can I try, this might be stupid,
but try and open it up and see if there's
something like messing with the gears?
Sam: Yeah, totally.
Grace: clocks have like
a panel that, you know
Sam: Yep,
Adam: Spider rat
Sam: Yeah, spider rat comes out.
Roll
Grace: Lord, spider rats.
Adam: It be pictures of Spider-Rat
Sam: Sorry.
Adam: You're the one that said spider red.
you're the one to blame here.
Sam: Anya, yes, you open up the,
the clock and you don't, you
don't see anything in the gears.
You do see them kind of like doing
this kind of, this kind of motion of
like trying to move on, but they do
seem kind of to be stuck, but there's
nothing in the gears themselves that,
that, that's preventing it from moving
Adam: They were doing the
FNAF dance in the gears.
Kaleb: Nope
Grace: The problem does not
appear to be mechanical in nature
Adam: Definitely got Sky on that joke.
Sky: It was.
Kaleb: that hurt.
Sky: hate it.
Kaleb: you said the gears are kinda stuck.
I'm assuming that Anya's relaying,
Anya relaying this to us,
Grace?
Grace: Yes
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Adam: telepathically, obviously.
Kaleb: Exit-
Sky: Obvioument
Adam: The gears seem to be stuck, but
there's no mechanism to have it stuck.
Grace: Yeah, so just
your voiceover narrating
Kaleb: Anya thinks to
Adam: the narrator, the gears are stuck.
Kaleb: it's actually Morgan Freeman
Sam: I
Adam: That girl was stuck
Kaleb: a stack
Zac: while they're looking
at the clock, I'm gonna go...
Van Draven's gonna look at the
other oil paintings, the starry
nights of, nights of the room
Sam: Mm-hmm.
Perfect.
Adam: no portrait in this house?
Sam: Not in this room
Adam: No.
Okay
Sam: Not in this room, no.
yes, Van, you go and look at the,
the kind of starry night, pictures
and you see kind of several things.
Roll me like a, a, what's your
passive perception actually?
Zac: My passive perception is 21
Sam: So what you see is like, is
like a progression of like if you...
Almost like a storyboard, right?
Where you see this character kind of
slowly and gradually appear in the, in
the frame of the, these oil paintings as
you kind of go and look around the room.
And you see that this person
eventually, is approached by this
kind of dark, like, figure, and
it kinda ends with this individual
kneeling in front of this figure
Zac: Can I make out who
the individual is at all?
Sam: Yes.
Yes, you can.
it's, it's a, it's of a kind
of a, a younger, younger woman
With like brown hair.
You, you can't really tell
like a distinct facial features
Zac: Okay.
But all these paintings are
basically a moving storyboard?
Sam: Mm-hmm.
Zac: So like the scene in Van Helsing
where the mural comes to life,
Sam: Yeah, exactly.
Zac: talking about?
Adam: Can you jump into the painting?
Zac: Yeah, I was just about to
say, can I touch the painting?
Sam: You can try to touch the painting
Zac: I'm gonna,
Adam: a new world.
Zac: I'm gonna see, I wanna see
if like I can jump into this and
if it's like a memory captured
in time or some shit like that.
So I'm gonna look at the group and
Venge Raven's gonna go, "Well, I've
already gone in the sarcophagi.
Time for this."
And he's gonna just try
to jump in the painting.
Adam: please tell me he just
Zac: And dude, I know,
Sam: then, and you like jump into it,
and you just hit yourself on the wall.
Take, two points of bludgeoning damage.
Kaleb: Yes.
Sam: you fall over and
you're knocked prone
Zac: Yeah, I was about to say, can he
please just be knocked out for like,
I don't know, 60 seconds or something?
Just knocked unconscious
Sam: you went heads first.
Zac: Yeah, but I wanna, I want it
to like jump into it as bat form,
so I'm like knocked unconscious
as a bat just on the ground.
Sam: You're actually like half in
bat form, half not in bat form.
Zac: Okay,
Sam: you didn't fully make
Zac: a upper part of
a bat with human legs.
it's human legs and the
upper part of a bat.
Adam: They said
Sam: That's almost worse than spider rat.
Yeah.
Kaleb: Exactly.
Adam: half human, half
bat, like what the...
Sam: What is
Kaleb: We got man back here
Adam: It's like that,
Oh, what, what is that?
What is that comic, that old comic
still is like Bat-At-Kid or whatever?
Zac: Man-Bat?
Bat-Mite?
Kaleb: Man-bat
Adam: is it Batman
Zac: Man-Bat's Kirk Langstrom
Adam: something like that.
Kaleb: Oh,
Sam: Okay, so Van is knocked out on the
floor
Adam: I'm looking for murals or picture
portraits in other rooms at this point
Sam: Okay.
so the room options are you can go back
the way you came in the, foyer into
the, the library, or there's another
door at the very end of this study
Adam: It's a long study or
is it just like a, it's like
Sam: like a normal nerve study.
Adam: walk?
Okay.
Sam: Okay.
you open up the door and,
like, immediately, Reggie,
Kaleb: have Hassling and Clasher
Sam: you step into a, vast dining hall
that feels strangely untouched by the
decay surrounding the rest of this house.
Soft golden light spills from, a
grand chandelier in the center.
on this massive table in front of you is
set forth this beautiful feast with every
type of pastry you've, you, you know of
Adam: Hell yeah.
Sam: Just beyond this table, there's
like a little like butler's kitchen.
Adam: ããã
Zac: Also, if anyone
Adam: Chandelier and food
Zac: wants safe, like it's in the chat
Adam: No portraits?
Sky: scared
Kaleb: Oh, no.
I'm so concerned what I'm about to see.
Sam: I hate
Adam: Just silhouette
Sky: I'm saying a prayer
over this demonic body.
Sam: but it's like a
bat-sized bat, so it's like
Zac: Yeah.
it's a tiny little, tiny little
Kaleb: a teeny little bat.
Teeny tiny little bat.
Grace, I don't know about Anya,
but Dorian def- definitely
has one of those like, "Oh no.
Anyway," and like turns back to the clock
Grace: Precisely, yeah.
Kaleb: He's like, "Oh no, this is so sad."
Grace: But
Adam: this all the
Grace: going after
Reggie who just wandered off on his
own in a for sure haunted house.
Sky: For
Kaleb: Oh, yeah.
Sam: Yep.
Adam: I want a
Sky: I'll follow
Adam: a Scooby-Doo, I definitely
want a Scooby-Doo style, like,
chase through the hallways that
make no sense with the monster.
Kaleb: I mean, this means that me
and Reggie are gonna have to go,
go off somewhere since we're...
Oh, no, wait, no, I'm not Shaggy.
I'm Velma.
Never mind.
Adam: So it's just a buffet
of food and a chandelier
Sam: Yes.
We're gonna cut back to, you guys at the
grandfather clock real quick, and we'll,
we're gonna resolve that really quick.
give me, you guys kind of
are doing some investigating.
Give me some arcana checks
Kaleb: 19
Sam: 19.
Nine.
Dorian, you definitely get, some
very strong magic, off, this clock.
It's almost as if the magic is
preventing the clock from moving
Zac: ã ã¼ãã
Kaleb: Could I use my tinkerer's tools
to try to get the gears to start moving?
Sam: Yes, you can.
intelligence plus proficiency, right?
Yeah
Kaleb: That is a dirty
Sam: Awesome.
what does it look like as you,
as you kind of repair the clock?
Kaleb: he kind of has like some of the
tools like stored in his gauntlet, so
he's able to like retract them out just
a little bit and like they're, infusing
them with just a little bit of the like
arcana, like arcanic magic that is, he
puts into his gloves and he's using it
to kind of chip away some of the teeth
to like shorten them to allow them to
like still catch but not to be like stuck
and is basically like forcing them, like
using the gears to like kind of force
them but ever so gently to start turning
to kind of get the mechanisms to work
Sam: Awesome.
So you do that and it's successful,
so the gears go click, and then
hear the clock start ticking again.
And like almost immediately after it
starts ticking, you hear the grandfather
clock go bong, bong, bong, bong.
and, Isabella, I need you to
make me a wisdom saving throw
Sky: A-ayo.
Adam: There's a whole
Sky: what I do, homie?
Zac: I'll
Sky: I'm good though.
Adam: Yeah, it's straight up Akira.
Sam: So you d- you feel the
same, feeling as I believe Van...
Was it Van who had this before?
Of something, or Reggie, of someone,
of this thing kinda like starting
to kinda overtake you and then you
were able to kind of, o- overcome it
Adam: Yeah, Reggie's not frightened
Sky: I'm going to quickly follow
behind Reggie 'cause I don't
wanna be near this anymore
Sam: Perfect
Grace: immediate change in
the room, we'll do the same
Sam: Yeah.
Adam: Can you rewind the clock?
Kaleb: Could,
Sam: Does Reggie
Kaleb: yeah, I mean, that's
Sam: interact with the clock?
Adam: I mean, I thought
you were at the clock.
Kaleb: I'd like to...
Do I notice anything immediate when
the clock starts to, like, tick again?
Do I notice any immediate
change either in the room?
'Cause I'm assuming there's
a window in this room that we
can see outside as well, right?
Sam: Yes.
as you guys fix the clock, you
notice that it has struck midnight
The clock has moved and now that their
both hands are struck at midnight.
Kaleb: Oh, it's stuck again
Sam: no, no.
it, it struck
Kaleb: Oh, the, okay,
Sam: The
Adam: It went from 10:30 when you
started it, it went rrr, it hit
Kaleb: Okay,
Adam: o'clock.
Sam: Mm-hmm.
Adam: We're on the 13th
floor of the Tower of Terror.
It struck midnight.
Lightning struck
Sam: Yeah,
Kaleb: cool,
Zac: elevator?
Adam: This was not in
the painting, Batman.
Zac: Oh, I'm still knocked out.
Kaleb: Yeah.
Okay.
I'm gonna...
now that I've satisfied my I
got the clock fixed, can I turn
around and make sure Van's okay?
Sam: Then you kind of come
to, you're like, "Ugh."
Kaleb: And, friend, I really need
to know what possessed you to
dive headfirst into a painting
Zac: Okay, well, you know, I went
in the sarcophagus, I ended up here.
Wasn't really thinking clearly.
Obviously, I'm trying things.
I'm dying because I'm older now, you
know, so, you know, we're just, we're...
Kaleb: I'm sorry
Zac: don't,
Kaleb: Man, I'm having a real
hard time taking you seriously.
Can you choose bat or man?
I can't have both.
Zac: And I re- I'm literally
just sitting upright as this half
bat, half man character, and I'm
like, you know, three foot tall.
I'm tiny right now.
So I'm gonna, I'm gonna morph, animorph
into a full human, back to van form.
I'm, I'm, I'm sorry.
That it gets lost in the sauce
sometimes of being a bat.
so
Kaleb: Happens to the best of us
Zac: where's Reggie?
Where, where's that little guy?
Kaleb: The clock is working,
so I'd say maybe let's, Well,
it went from 10:30 to midnight.
but noth- nothing else has
changed, as far as I can see
Zac: Well, that's a little anticlimactic.
Kaleb: yeah, let's go
Zac: Yep
Kaleb: Yeah, let's go find everybody else
Zac: Yep
Sam: Reggie, you're standing in front of
this, banquet that's kind of been set out.
and the food smells hot
and smells delicious
Adam: That's, that's
suspicious.
Swiper,
no swiping.
Zac: I'll be right back
Adam: All right.
Can I just walk in?
Sam: Yeah
Adam: Walk in, I'm gonna
sit down and I'm not gonna
do anything.
I'm just gonna sit there
staring at the food
Sam: as you guys kind of enter
the room and Reggie goes to
sit down, you hear like this
kind
of like mechanical sounds as like this,
like Modron rolls out from behind the
butler's cabinet and he goes, "Hello.
How can I serve you?
Greetings, friends."
Adam: ÑемÑ
Sam: I'm sorry
Kaleb: Is, have we all joined
him in the room at this
Sam: Yes, I'd say so unless
someone else wanted to say back
Adam: Mr.
Artificer, this is your expertise.
Kaleb: was, no, that was why I was asking.
Sam: Hello, honored guests
Kaleb: Dorian's gonna walk up,
like literally spark in his eyes.
friend.
could I perchance get your name?"
Sam: My name is Modron, at your service
Kaleb: now seeing as this house
is in a state of disrepair, how
long have you been here, friend?
Sam: Disrepair?
Oh, yes, it has been a while
I'm sorry, what were you saying?
Kaleb: we're simply wanting to
know how long you've been here.
Is the, are you the only
one in this house right now?
Sam: Yes, my mistress said
she would be back soon.
But until then, please enjoy the meal
Kaleb: And your
mistress is who?
Sam: Lama Thorn
Kaleb: Well, tit,
Adam: the way back to the
first entry in the guest book
Kaleb: Yeah
Grace: Makes sense
Kaleb: have you by chance seen, other
than ourselves, anyone here recently?
Sam: Negative.
I was told to keep the food warm
for guests, and you are a guest
Kaleb: You are the first
guest since your mistress left
Sam: That is correct
Kaleb: do I notice, is he like...
Yeah, I was gonna s-
Adam: What does
Kaleb: Now is there a
picture of her anywhere?
Sam: I think it kind of like w- goes
back to like a buffet area or like a, he
grabs like a, like a, like a small little
like paint, like a little picture, and
he presents this to you and it looks like
the, the girl in the, the spiral photos
Zac: Oh
Kaleb: Van tried to headbutt?
Zac: I got a, really good
picture of who that is.
That's the, She was in the oil paintings.
She
Adam: it's imprinted
on your face right here
Zac: Yeah, yeah.
Thank you.
I know
Kaleb: does Mojang, does he
look like older or like, is he,
it's still in like pretty good
Sam: looks, he looked in
pretty good condition.
I mean, definitely like
weathered, but not, like not
brand new, but not broken down
Kaleb: Okay, and is, he seem like
a pretty, like, simple automaton?
Like, do I notice any, like, significant
magic on him, or is he pretty, like,
Sam: No, he's, he's, he's pretty simple
Adam: If it was liberty
Sam: like a mech- mo- like
a mechanical unseen servant
Zac: Liberty Prime, he's
gonna throw a mini nuke at you
Kaleb: About to you just, you
just hear Dorian yell, "And it's
democracy."
Adam: he's a sentry bot
walking
Sam: my mistress is delayed.
I'm sure she'll be here soon
Adam: D-
Kaleb: Did she say where she went?
Adam: 12 other
names
Kaleb: Correct
Sam: would be gone for a bit and
that my job is to maintain the feast
Adam: Did she say where she was going?
Kaleb: Edgy, your voice
sounds really weird
Sam: Yeah.
Adam: Put on my intelligence
hat at this point.
Kaleb: There we go.
Sky: You knew we probably needed it
Kaleb: Yeah.
Sam: she said she had to run
errands for spell components
Grace: How long has she been gone?
Sam: It's been about...
And he kinda like see like
the clock, like, whirls in
his head as he does the math.
Three centuries
Zac: Up
Grace: Okay
Zac: All right, guys.
Kaleb: Dorian's gonna turn to you guys.
gonna be honest, dude, our friend
here has not given me much to work
Adam: What else is in this room?
Sam: just the, the feast of the food
Adam: In a butler's pantry?
Sam: УгÑ
Grace: Roger, does the name
Alurothorn mean anything to you?
Sam: Just Ella?
Yes.
He like, he like does like
a thousand-yard stare.
Very tragic
Grace: ê·¸ë êµ°ì.
Zac: Oh, the three
Grace: What happened
Adam: get the milk.
she left to go get the
milk and never came back
Sam: she has passed on
The flu
Zac: wedding dresses y'all saw outside.
The, thorn is the
something of three widows
Kaleb: å¯
Adam: Velmathor is the
Lady of Three Widows.
every hundred years she sacrifices her
Kaleb: corporeal form
Zac: I mean, honestly, that could work.
Adam: I went to Haunted Mansion and
the ax lady in the in the attic.
Zac: Yep.
Kaleb: हम
Zac: okay
Adam: She is the lady of three widows.
Grace: does that mean she's been widowed
three times or left three widows?
For all we know, it could be
a polyamory sort of situation.
A big house, that's all I'm saying
Zac: Well, I do know that she
definitely made a deal with this Eater
Beyond Names or something similar
Adam: Why don't we just like go
through the list of names and see
if the automaton knows them or not?
Kaleb: Yeah.
Let's do
Zac: to run.
Run
Sam: Yeah.
Awesome.
So the, the automaton, shares
with you, Velma is the, is the
mistress, lady of the house.
Ashenford was a, old, choir director,
in the church who is no longer with us.
With no entry, he, he is not...
His programming does
not allow to speak of.
Brother Silas was a, a, like a page boy,
who is still working at the, chapel.
Helgrid Vance was the old blacksmith.
Gavin Thornrock, he, he kinda stumbles
when he, when he refers to him.
He, like, initially, like, he
gives, like, kind of two vague
descriptions of one of being like this.
He's always...
He's just been Gavin.
He's been the guy who's, like,
ser- who slings up beers.
But then also you can tell that there's
been, like, some revision in his
own memory of who Gavin actually is.
So he tries to, like, kind of think
through exactly what it is, but
kinda can only come out with, like,
"Yeah, he seems like a good guy."
Yeah
Zac: Interesting
Sam: Mr.
Inkwell was the old apothecary.
Father Casimir is the, like the
leader of the Church of Tyr in town
Adam: What about Reginald Cumberbatch III?
Sam: he does not recognize that name
Zac: Goodã
Adam: I've been here before.
What?
What a twist.
Sam: bad of this one-shot
Adam: that.
Kaleb: out of curiosity, has anybody
else gained any more marks since
we've been either in this room or in
the house, other than Van's bark on
Sam: quick, perception checks
Adam: Hmm, great
Kaleb: Let's say 12
Grace: à¤à¤°
Adam: 20
Sky: Oh, Reggie
Sam: Dorian and Anya have
one additional, mark.
Kaleb: my
Adam: is that your first mark?
Kaleb: I was g- I'm pretty sure
that's my first mark, is it not?
Sam: You're first, Mark.
and then Van, you also have another one
Zac: Jesus Christ, I'm
tatted up at this point.
Adam: Instead of a
banana, now it's a tomato.
Sky: Yes
Zac: All
Kaleb: The price total just
keeps going up with each line.
Sam: Yep
Adam: Jesus, that's a lot
of tomatoes, 90 pounds.
Sam: Yes.
So
if you wouldn't mind,
please partake of the food.
Adam: Yeah, and
Sam: My missus shall be here shortly
Adam: Not that hungry
I put on the hat, so, I can
roll some intelligence stuff
Grace: I got poisoned somehow
Kaleb: Ja
Grace: That
Adam: something, y'all, y'all
had something to do with the
grandfather clock, so therefore
y'all got another mark.
Van possibly has another mark
because he hit a painting,
Kaleb: I was gonna say, is
Adam: We're not for sure anymore.
Sam: It was a freshly painted painting
Adam: Any other rooms in this house
Kaleb: Did we really dig in the
Adam: or
Kaleb: all that much?
Zac: Yeah, we
Sam: no, there's, the library's,
it's on the other half the house
Kaleb: Yeah, I'd say let's
go look in the library
Adam: To the library
Sam: So you guys, go to the library and
I'll go ahead and just describe it again.
It's the, there's the, the bookshelves
kind of seem to rise all the way
up into like s- like darkness above
you guys with a single chandelier
with that book on a pedestal.
And then there's a door on the other si-
on the far end of the, of the library
Adam: Open up that door
Grace: Mm-hmm.
Zac: Just quick question.
You said that the shelves basically
are like going up into an unseen chasm?
Sam: Yeah
Zac: Okay, you know what'd be funny?
If you heard like our first group
arguing and then Henry falling.
Kaleb: help me
Sam: Wait, hold on
Zac: "Oh shit.
I've got it."
And like you just hear him way up
there and you're like, "What was that?"
Adam: It's
Kaleb: brain moment, it all connects.
Portals,
Zac: meta gaming.
Sam,
Sam: Anya, how can you
be here and up there?
Grace: Wait,
Zac: Time
Grace: I remember this
Kaleb: Wibbly wobbly timey wimey nonsense
Adam: what I'm saying, like if the modron
knew that I was here before and he's like,
"I recognize that name," I'm like, "Whoa."
Kaleb: That's
Adam: the man of the house.
Kaleb: Reggie turns around
and Reggie's actually the BBEG
Sam: Ja
Adam: goal, Reggie BBG.
You don't wanna fight Reggie.
He loves his mama too much to die.
Kaleb: Instead of
Adam: that mom
Kaleb: Too angry to die.
Loves his mama too much to die
Adam: draven, why don't you fire
a fire arrow up into the chasm
above you so a thousand spider
rats come falling down from above?
Zac: You know what?
That's not funny.
That's not funny at all
Kaleb: It is though
Adam: Everyone else laughed.
Kaleb: do I have anything that I can do?
In all seriousness, part of me
had kind of half thought about
shooting something up to light.
Zac: mean
Adam: I have lilac casting.
I, I could point my lilac
finger north like E.T.,
phone home, shine into the darkness.
Zac: So I will say this, Van Draven does
Grace: 60 feet?
Zac: Daylight he could cast
Kaleb: I mean, I also could just
shoot a firebolt up into the
chasm and see if it hits anything
Adam: Hell yeah, there's spiders up there.
Grace: a fire bolt
Kaleb: honestly, like I kinda wanna
just say let's dance and let's do this.
Adam: All right.
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Yeah, Dorian's absolutely gonna launch
a fireball just up into the chasm
Sam: Dorian, as you cast your fireball
and you see it, enter the darkness and it
gets eaten up by the darkness and three
seconds pass and you hear and see nothing
Adam: This isn't your regular darkness.
This is advanced darkness.
Kaleb: Oh.
so it was
Adam: someone cast true sight
on themselves and, and look up.
Kaleb: Does anybody have true sight?
Zac: I do have daylight.
It's a legacy spell where I could,
could basically just shoot it up.
Adam: a, summon a sun up above us.
Zac: Yeah
Adam: All right, Metamorphis.
Zac: third level spell.
I don't know if I wanna use it
Kaleb: I mean
Only other
Adam: you do it, punk rocker
Kaleb: Correct
Zac: All right, I'm gonna do it.
I'm gonna shoot
Adam: Magic versus magic
Zac: Yeah.
Boom.
There we go
Kaleb: Yeah.
Sam: to kind of push away the darkness.
And what you see, as it goes up,
it probably goes up like 700 feet.
At the very top, you see a ledge.
It's like you see this kind of doorway,
entryway at the very top of the darkness
Adam: is it like books all the way up to
that ledge or does it stop at some point?
Sam: there it goes all
the way up to the top
Zac: Now did the little baby
son clear a pathway or is it...
Sam: It did.
Zac: Okay
Sam: I'm kind of picturing the sun,
the, baby sun is kind of sitting
at the, at the top of it, and it's
kind of shining the light down
Adam: He glows right on that book,
book, open book on the, on the pedestal
Yeah, there's an open
book on the pedestal.
I'm going to assume one of us
needs to read the incantation
on the book
Grace: Didn't Fan already
check out the book?
Zac: Yeah.
Adam: Oh.
Wasn't there incantations on the book?
Zac: it just said Oblivion
something or another, and then
the patron saint of the warlocks.
Adam: Did you flip through the book
further than just what was on the
Zac: I didn't touch the book
Adam: Oh,
Kaleb: Probably gonna
need to open the book
Adam: Yeah.
Sam: sure you have a stick on you
Adam: I mean, Reggie picks up some
good sticks, you know, around.
Zac: genuine
Kaleb: of quality, quality stick
Adam: has a whole collection of sticks.
"This one looks like a wand, guys.
This one looks like an AK."
Sky: So look
Zac: You
Adam: I have no clue, Zac, until I
actually get the audio from you if I hear
you eating McFlurry or these pretzels.
Zac: I'm having snacks, man.
Leave me alone
Kaleb: it's snack time.
Don't hate on the snacks
Zac: Exact
Adam: hear it through Discord, so
I think we're okay 'cause I think
it only records Discord's audio.
So if you see your little green thing
pick up, that means it's recorded that
Zac: No, I'm just saying that
would piss me off if I heard
someone eating and smacking.
Adam: editing this, or
I'll make you edit it.
If I hear you smacking while
I'm editing, you're editing
Kaleb: That's a threat.
You have to edit all the sound.
Adam: Yeah.
so yeah, Reggie pulls out
his, book turning page stick.
It's perfectly cataloged.
It's like the third one from the right out
of his like roll, roll top of, of sticks
Sits there,
Kaleb: got a, he's got
a bedroll of just sticks
Adam: and flips the next page
Sam: You flip the next page
and you see, this, writing
in this kind of dark red ink.
and it's in, a language that
you don't think you recognize
Adam: Is it Draconic?
Sam: Unless, and anyone
else can read infernal
Adam: Oh, wait, hang on.
Did I do infernal or draconic?
No, I did draconic, close.
Close.
Sam: Close
Adam: comprehend languages, anybody?
Kaleb: negative
Adam: Okay.
Zac: hold up.
Kaleb: What does Batman have
Sky: Ù ÙÙ
Zac: ã¼
Adam: bat, what you got?
Zac: Nah, shit.
Don't worry about it
Adam: Do you just want me to g- b- best
Zac: Keep,
keep flipping till we get a language we,
Kaleb: Would there be, because I can read
and understand celestial, is there, am
I able to pick anything up out of this?
Or is it just all gibberish to me?
Adam: we're doing language
franca of like the word trees.
Kaleb: Correct.
Grace: Like
Kaleb: Dorian got a lot going for him.
He's, big old brain's one of them
Adam: Dr- celestial, Draconic, Infernal.
Kaleb: argue my way into
something, if I can do it, I'm
Adam: They're all s- different.
Sam: Oh, that's amazing.
Kaleb: You can say no,
but I just wanted to
ask
Sam: no, I ki- I like that.
But Dorian, I'll, I'll, I'll let
you, like, make an intelligence check
Adam: I'll do an
Sam: with disadvantage
Adam: with my Draconic as
well, and we will, me and him
both will put this together.
Kaleb: our powers combined.
Sam: Go for
Kaleb: Oh, that
Adam: I can tell that this word is
a derivative for a word in Draconic.
Kaleb: got,
Sam: They share common conjugations and
Adam: Yeah.
Infernal has three types:
male, female, and neu- neutral.
Kaleb: Getting nerdy up in here, y'all
Sam: Wow
Adam: I can conjugate verbs.
We're good.
Kaleb: you said intelligent.
What did you
Sam: Yeah,
Kaleb: Oh,
Adam: All right, I rolled a 17 the
first time, a 10 the next time.
My strength is a nine, so it flips to a
nine in intelligence, and that will be a
Zac: this math
Adam: that would be a 19
Kaleb: a, I got a 10
Sam: a 19.
Adam: It's more similar to
Draconic than it is Celestial.
Sam: both, both, both Reggie and
Dorian kind of, can kind of like
parse this out, but yeah, there's
Adam: It was the guidance
Sam: there's like trace roots
of Draconic in Infernal.
'Cause if you know, you know Bahamut
and Tiamat, they're like the creators of
all dragons and like the world, right?
So all languages stem from Draconic.
Adam: No one's asking why Reggie
knows Draconic, but you know,
no one's questioning that one.
Kaleb: is 100% gonna look over
and be like, we're going to unpack
this later how you know Draconic.
I'm not asking about it now,
but we're gonna have to talk.
So many questions"
Adam: Do not worry about that, young man.
Kaleb: that ship has sailed.
The concern is there
Adam: All right, so what
am I able to make out?
Grace: probably up in Dragonborn
Sam: it's a magical incantation that you
are, allowed to speak if you wish to do so
Zac: Do it
Adam: Now he's gonna take out his,
his fourth book stick,
'cause that one's cursed now.
He lays that one down next to it.
He picks up his fourth book
stick and flips to the next page.
Kaleb: He whispered, "Sweet tight,
sleep tight my sweet prince."
Adam: I'll have to find
another book stick later.
Sam: you flip to the next, the next
page and it's a, a Martha Stewart recipe
Zac: Now we're
Adam: Is it, is it a pastry?
Sam: yes.
Yes
Adam: Okay.
All right.
I rolled a, 21.
I don't need guidance on that one.
I know my pastries.
Is it a crap recipe from Martha Stewart?
Sam: It's, it, it's,
Kaleb: Betty Crocker cookies
Sam: actually, it's just that.
Adam: It's a stol- stolen
recipe from Betty Car- Crocker
morphed into Martha Stewart.
Sam: Signed Martha Stewart at the bottom
Adam: These billionaires and
millionaires, they just sit
around just copying each other.
What the hell?
Grace: It's
Adam: Can no one create anything anymore?
Grace: and James put her name on it
Adam: okay, and then he's gonna take
that book stick and then flip it.
He's gonna close the book.
The book is gonna be closed to the front,
and he's gonna flip over to the forward.
Kaleb: gonna read the magical
Grace: Always
Adam: Always a forward in a book.
Who was this book dedicated to?
Sam: it was dedicated to Bobby Flay
Sky: But before
Adam: Oh, I got it.
My intelligence is peaking here.
Moldrook needs to come in here, read
this and, and we all just, we walk
out of the room as he's reading this.
Kaleb: Big brain.
Zac: could read it
All right, I'm gonna
Kaleb: I think we need to
have, have the, the robot.
Zac: All
Kaleb: on board for this
Sam: Ryuji.
Hello.
Adam: My intelligence is peaking, guys.
When you gave me this
hat, my intelligence is...
Zac: we need you to read
something real quick.
You know, Infernal by chance, right?
Sam: Yes, I am well-versed in three
forms, 300 forms of communication
Zac: Okay, perfect.
Great.
Follow me
Kaleb: Killing C-3PO right now
Zac: That's fine.
We gotta see what happens here, guys.
Adam: We all leave the room.
he takes his fifth book stick, opens
up, finds that page, and he lays
it down and goes, "I need you...
I'm gonna need you to
read this in 10 seconds.
Can you count down for me when I say go?"
Sam: Certainly
Adam: else exit the room.
Exit the room.
Zac: Ja.
Kaleb: On
Adam: go
Sam: One Mississippi, two Mississippi,
Adam: I'm gonna trip and not make it.
I'm gonna inst- I want to fail
this r- roll myself by tripping.
Zac: Why would you wanna do that?
Sam: I'm so confused
Adam: Don't worry about it.
I got a plan.
Zac: Fine, whatever.
Sam: All
Zac: Do it.
Sam: How far...
Zac: do this
Sam: Okay, Reggie, how far
are you from the Modron?
Adam: I'm basically at the door,
but I just don't make it in time.
I trip,
Sam: Okay, that's fine.
Adam: at the
Sam: So as, as the...
Adam: incantation
Sam: Yeah, Modron says the incantation
and just kinda nothing happens, and
before he finishes his sentence, like,
a staircase just comes and crushes him
Kaleb: Oh no.
Adam: And the thing is, they
don't know what happened.
Kaleb: No.
Oh
Adam: So they, so, so
it- the door is l- shut.
I'm trying to get there.
Grace: And a crunch, I imagined
Kaleb: Correct
Adam: lots of crunches
Zac: beats the hell out of throwing
yourself into a painting, am I right?
So, I think Van's gonna
open the door just to see.
Sam: You open the door in
Zac: And Reggie's there
Sam: Just lying on the ground
Zac: Damn
Adam: My God, what a way
to make an entrance here.
Am I right?
Zac: this staircase that landed,
is it going up to that doorway up
Sam: It is.
Yes, it
Adam: else would it go?
Zac: I mean, I, I don't know.
Kaleb: spider rat lair
Adam: Draven, what,
Grace: obviously
Zac: Okay.
I'm gonna scream, "Bat," and fly
up to the st- fly up to the door.
Kaleb: that's now the power word?
Zac: Yeah, no, it's like what
we do in the shadows is, "Bat."
Sky: My favorite
Zac: way out of character voice too,
Adam: I'm gonna suggest to Dorian that he
pick up what it remains of, of the butler
Kaleb: there any like memory core
or anything that like I would
Adam: I can rebuild him
Kaleb: his personality?
Sam: You, there's like a, like a
smashed, like part of like the,
the main motherboard, the main,
like the main like CPU chip.
That's, it's fully like destroyed,
but you can get, gather mo- like
the majority, like 75% of it
Kaleb: Okay,
Adam: This is gonna start Dorian's quest.
He's secretly a, a Jedi,
and now he's gonna go to the
Sam: You can sling them on your back.
Yeah.
you can sling the, the parts
and, yeah, on your back
Kaleb: Yep.
I'm absolutely doing that
Adam: Like I said, many of
you will die, and that's a
sacrifice I was willing to make.
Next time it's Vendraven.
Kaleb: Guys, Dorian's created a monster
Sam: Oh my gosh.
let's take a five-minute break.
I'm gonna run to the restroom and
refill my drink, and we'll be right back
Adam: Reggie's intelligence is so
high, he now knows, like, the weakest
link in the party, and it's Vandreen.
Zac: So you think
Adam: Zac, what kind of pants
are you wearing right now?
Zac: Christmas vacation pajama
Adam: okay.
Zac: I'm hanging out,
chilling out in the PJs
Adam: Chilling with my homie
Zac: Homie's dead
Sky: Homie is dead.
RIP
Adam: homie.
Sky: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Zac: is, this is the, the
stereotypical D&D session for sure.
Lotta, lotta goofs.
Adam: Well, while we're
trying to solve the mystery
Grace: Yeah, this will be like a darker,
like more horror-oriented kinda show,"
Adam: Oh, that's why I made Reggie.
He's the light at the end of
the tunnel of the darkness.
Zac: He's gonna die.
Grace: I say that having fully made
a joke character for the next arc.
Adam: Oh, great.
Zac: Oh, dude.
Yeah, the next one's gonna be great.
If you've got a joke character,
I've got a joke character
Grace: Now
Adam: on like a
Grace: Gonna be played
completely straight, all right?
The concept is a joke, but gonna
be, like, on it, you understand?
Like, the purdiest of, like...
Adam: be good
Grace: yeah,
Zac: Oh, I get it.
I got a character that is my
absolutely favorite that I created
on a whim and dime, and he's a
joke character, but he's great.
Adam: I'm planning on,
Zac: making an appearance
Adam: a tasteful...
Like, Kaylie like read the whole
thing, and she goes, "You should, you
should totally do, like, the Phantom."
I was like, "No, that's too obvious.
I'm not gonna do the Phantom."
I was like, "But what I will do
is Gerard Butler in another movie.
Zac: Gamer.
Adam: It'll be Gerard Butler in a
different movie style and not Phantom.
Zac: has fallen.
Adam: this is like an elite op.
Kaleb: Yes
Adam: I've got to protect him.
The bodyguard.
Straight up just the bodyguard
for, for, the Duke Armand Vaethal.
Kaleb: Oh, you guys are
talking about my campaign.
Got it
Adam: Yeah, I thought it would be funny to
do a Gerard Butler, like, but not Phantom
Gerard Butler since it's masquerade,
but be a different Gerard Butler.
Kaleb: law-abiding citizen Gerard Butler.
Adam: Yeah.
Zac: good one
Adam: Yeah, I thought that
would be really funny to do.
And then, I was thinking of that, and then
I was like, also, I was like, I could do
a Hugh Jackman, and we could all just...
I've been seeing him pop up,
that guy that does impersonations
of Hugh Jackman on TikTok.
So much vibrato happens in there.
Sam: I'll be Russell Crowe Javert
Kaleb: Oh my
Adam: We're all,
Zac: I'm Jabair.
Adam: Oh, please.
Please just be random
Sam: oh, one.
Adam: be so good
Sam: Search in the
Kaleb: done
Sam: That
Adam: God, that'd be so funny.
granted, the
Zac: have a lame Iz.
That's all it
Kaleb: you guys hate truth time,
my entire campaign is just Les Mis
Zac: Oh, yes
Sam: I'm down for that
Kaleb: Meanwhile, I'm deleting all of
my campaign notes and just furiously
typing "entire campaign lame as."
Zac: It's just the whole
Adam: Two weeks.
Okay.
Let's go.
Kaleb: The, the next time you guys
see me, my eye's twitching a little
bit and I'm just s- just mouthing,
"Do you hear the people sing?"
Adam: Oh, that's
Sam: That's when we actually all
showed up with the entire cast
of Phantom and we switched it up.
Kaleb: Yes
Adam: Nah, no, we go
full Chicago on that one.
just totally random.
Different time period and everything.
Kaleb: Yes.
I'm here for it
Sam: I was thinking of The Little,
Little Shop of Horrors actually
Adam: Oh, no, no, no.
We need to, we need to do- we, we
need to be the Book of Mormon a-
and just straight up Book of Mormon.
Sam: Hello
Zac: idowe
Kaleb: with a whole religion
for this world and then you guys
are just a bunch of door-to-door
Adam: Hello, my name is Elder Jean.
Kaleb: you guys come up to the door,
the doors of the masquerade and
just get pulled in because you're
trying to s- spread the gospel.
Adam: Let me tell you
about this special book.
Sam: That is like top
five favorite musicals.
It's so funny
Zac: It's, it is a good one
Adam: Ugh.
God, so good.
Sam: anyway, we're
Zac: All right, moving on.
Sam: I probably got to
like 3:15-ish, like an hour
Zac: Okay
Sam: Okay.
So Van, you fly up to the, to the top and
it's just, there's no doorway, but you
can kind of see into like the next room.
Zac: ããã
Sam: unless
Adam: where you will
walk like normal people
Sam: Yeah.
like a non-flying person
Adam: It's a lot of stairs
Kaleb: Correct
Sam: so you guys get to the top and
you look in and what you would kind
of assume to be is like the attic or
like the upper chamber of this house.
and it, at first glance, it looks
like it serves two purposes, part
like bedroom and part laboratory.
You see like on one side, there's
like a, in the corner, there's like
a big bed, and like things that you
would normally have in a bedroom,
like dressers, all that kind of stuff.
But on the far left, you see like
a big chalkboard with like arcane
writ sigils and runes written on it.
You actually see in other spots, you have
like big flasks that have been spilt over
and you actually have some like flasks and
beakers that are kind of like suspended
in air, kind of in the laboratory area.
Part of them have like, are suspended
with like half spilt out like
stuff that's also like suspended.
Kaleb: Does it look like
anybody's been here for a while?
Does it all look like it's been
kind of just left to collect dust?
Sam: Yeah, it all looks fairly old.
Kaleb: OK
Sam: Like no one's been here for a while
Adam: And they're just levitating
Sam: УгÑ
Grace: A rock
Kaleb: Honestly
Zac: say you threw a rock?
Kaleb: Iraq
Adam: Reggie hands Anya just a
special throwing rock out of the bag.
Like, it's like, "This one I won
the state championship of rock
skipping with 36 rock skips.
You shouldn't miss.
It's got the perfect aerodynamics for it."
Grace: Great.
And she'll just chuck it as hard
as she can and try to get it
to ricochet as much as possible
Sam: As you throw the rock, And you
throw, like, into the laboratory
area or, like, the bed chamber?
Like, kind of where are you throwing it?
Grace: The laboratory area
Sam: Yeah.
As you throw it, and the rock enters
the space, it, like, just stops
Adam: Ooh.
It levitates too, guys.
That's cool.
Grace: 'Cause it's my special
Zac: All right, so
Adam: It's a time stop inside that labo-
Kaleb: do I notice anything that might
be, like, the cause of that effect?
Like, is there any specific, like, object
or anything that would stand out that
we might see, like, be causing that?
Sam: Yeah, you can roll me
like an investigation or arcana
Sky: I'll give you guidance
Adam: That's the guidance that we needed
Kaleb: there we go.
We'll do guidance.
I'm about it.
Sky: I was dumbfounded by
what you guys were doing.
Kaleb: Let's, I try,
Adam: I'm dumbfounded
half the time anyways
Kaleb: right number.
that's gonna be a 27.
Sam: 27.
Awesome.
You can definitely identify
that this part of the room is
currently affected by a time stop.
and you can kind of gather that
you don't really see like a, focus
that's channeling it, It just
feels like it's all about the room.
You can look on the chalkboard and you
can kind of see Like the equivalent of
like a wizard's calculus equations on the
chalkboard trying to derive like if I can
take magic from like, the transmutation
school and I do this or I swap this
thing with it, I can get to like this
Kaleb: to build a new spell.
Sam: Yeah.
Kaleb: Okay, so they're trying to do
Sam: Like the workings of a mad science.
Kaleb: This is some mad chronomancy.
Sam: No, not
that you can tell
Adam: Now can, can you tell
like the chalk is hovering
next to the like being written?
Sam: no, the chalk is like just
sitting on like the bottom of the
chalkboard, but like based off of
Adam: like an invisibility
person and he time stopped himself.
Kaleb: That's why I was
looking for a focus.
So it's been cast on the room, that
area of the room itself, not necessarily
something that's channeling it.
Got it
Adam: Now how fast does
that time stop happen?
And like is it slow-mo?
Is the
rock moving at all?
Kaleb: Or is it,
Sam: the rock has stopped.
Adam: Okay.
Sam: The rock enters a couple feet into
it and slows momentum down and then stops
Adam: To the bedroom
Grace: Yeah, check out the bedroom
Adam: Now throw a rock in the bedroom
Sam: the rock just hits the floor
Adam: You gotta make sure
deviant DMs out here.
Kaleb: Do we have a
treasure mimic already?
Sam: True
Adam: You look at Reggie.
"I'm the Mimic."
Kaleb: My body just
Sam: that'd
Adam: Whole Ditto.
Reggie's been a Ditto
the whole time
Kaleb: off
Sam: Right now you guys kind of
like what you see is the, the bed.
There's the, like a, like a lockbox
sitting at the foot of the bed.
There's a dresser and then a mirror
Grace: At 15?
Sky: I'll give you guidance,
Zac: Like a three
Kaleb: You said investigation?
Adam: You're
gonna like this then.
Hang on.
Sky: Mm-hmm.
Adam: Right, That was 20, 28
Kaleb: 28
Adam: What are you thinking?
Sam: Reggie, you notice
a trapdoor under the bed
Adam: It seems to me that this
room goes down as we went up.
Sam: Hey, you wanted a Scooby-Doo
house that made no sense
Kaleb: That's fair.
Adam: down.
Kaleb: do we know...
do we know anything that would
show us whose room this was?
Sam: yeah.
Yeah, I think there,
there, there's def- Mm-hmm
Grace: Is there a diary on the
Sam: there is a Diawe
Kaleb: details,
Adam: Was this like a hidden room?
An annex of some sort?
Kaleb: It
Sam: is like an attic.
Adam: see, it's annex, attic.
Like we got Diary of
Anne Frank right here.
Sam: Yeah.
Zac: Christ
Adam: She asked for a diary.
I asked if it was an annex.
He said yes.
You put two and two together.
Sky: Wow!
Kaleb: Two plus two
equals potato over there
Sam: there's definitely a diary, in like
the, the top of the dresser, drawer.
You open it and it says, it's
signed Velma, what was her name?
Thorn, Thorne, right?
Zac: It's so funny it's Velma, though.
Kaleb: Yeah, no, I was
like, "Of course it's
Zac: in the house and it's Velma
Adam: It's Velma.
Velma Thorn
Sam: Yep
Zac: What's the book say?
Sam: It talks about how, the passing
of her, of her partner, Elara, and
how it, she thought it was unfair
and tried to undo it with magic, but
couldn't quite find the missing pieces
needed to make it completely happen.
it talks about how she met this
individual who promised that they
could provide the missing ingredients.
And you kind of just see it, it kind
of begins to get less and less coherent
as you guys flip through the pages
until it's just like total gibberish
Zac: Yeah.
Grace: Classic
Zac: ããã
Kaleb: I wanna investigate the lab
so bad, but I know the moment I
walk over there I'm gonna get stuck
Grace: Mm-hmm.
Adam: Is it worth the sacrifice story?
Kaleb: Dorian needs to
know.
it's bothering him, but he knows he can't.
Adam: We got a trapdoor.
Kaleb: gonna cast fireball
and be done with it.
No, yeah, there's nothing
else that I can think of,
Zac: Wish we had like dispel or something,
Kaleb: That's what I was looking.
I couldn't remember if I did, but I don't
Zac: I don't have dispel
magic, I don't think
Adam: Could be too high of a level anyways
Kaleb: Correct.
If they're, they're dealing with
necromancy, I ain't down with that
Zac: magic that's
Adam: I look on the second
drawer of the nightstand, and
there's a scroll of dispel magic.
Sky: case of emergencies
Adam: Using case of
Zac: break glass in case of emergencies,
Adam: Rip scroll.
Zac: magic.
Adam: Wax seal on, break scroll, wax seal.
Zac: All right, so trap
door?
Adam: Trap door.
Oh, see, see, this is where Sam,
his spider rap comes in, 'cause
it's gonna be a trap door spider rap
Zac: Now
Kaleb: Spider
Sam: You're not, you're not far off.
Kaleb: spider rat.
This is the spider rat lair.
Adam: See?
Kaleb: Spider rat lair.
This is it
Zac: Oh my God.
Kaleb: The false hydra
Adam: lair of the spider rat.
Zac: and you said it's
under the bed, right?
Sam: Yeah
Zac: Is it, like, that big or is it
Kaleb: the bed
Sam: no.
it's like a normal person sized trapdoor.
Yeah.
Zac: Okay
Sam: Or you can like crawl
under the bed or move the bed,
but you can go through the-
Kaleb: Would you say it's spider rat
Adam: It's
Grace: You don't wanna crawl under?
Sam: I was so
Adam: move the bed.
Reggie, move this bed.
Zac: Reggie, I'm gonna need
you to stand right here.
Kaleb: Dorian can move it.
Adam: Reggie takes off the hat and he's
like, "Okay, I'll move the, the bed."
Like, one, one arm lifts
the, the bed, moves it over
Sam: So you can move the bed and
then you can access the trapdoor,
which is not trapped or locked.
It is just a normal door
you can walk through.
Kaleb: I'm here
Grace: it.
Zac: Full
Kaleb: door.
Whoop
Adam: I feel that Grace on like
Kaleb: Wrong lever!
Adam: being a trapdoor.
Sam: you enter kind of this like long...
You kinda sc- like scurry down a, a
set of, like a ladder to the bottom.
And the room you, you enter in
is pretty dark, but smells almost
as, as bad as the crypt did.
But it's pitch, it's pitch black right now
Zac: Is Reggie still glowing or no?
Sam: Yeah, I think red just so glow.
Oh yeah, if your red is glowing then...
How long does that spell last?
Adam: Just like an hour, I think
Sam: I got an R
Sky: is an hour.
Adam: You can cast it
Sky: But I could do it again
Sam: Yeah, that's fine.
Zac: again as
Adam: I can
Sam: we'll just say you have
Adam: as possible.
Sky: Smirky with lights
Sam: Every hour just back at him
Adam: D- disco
Grace: It actually took five hours
to translate that incantation, so,
Sam: It's true.
So Reggie, Reggie's lit up.
Reggie's lit.
Adam: Good help yourself there, huh?
Sam: Reggie, as you guys, you get, you
get to the bottom you see, this room is,
is fairly empty outside of like a couple
like column pillars that kind of line the
kind of center of the, this, this room.
At the far end you see like this
little like faintly glowing like orb
and then you hear kind of like, like
scurrying footsteps a- a- above you
Adam: wait.
So, so I hear footsteps above me.
Sam: Like
Adam: tall is this?
how tall is this?
Sam: Oh, like 12, 15 feet.
Grace: Spider rat
Zac: Yeah, what's up st- oh, I gotta know.
What's, what's up there?
Adam: Reggie is intentionally
not gonna look up and just...
Grace: It doesn't look up.
Zac: okay.
here's what Dr- Vandraven's gonna do.
While Reggie's doing his thing,
Vandraven's gonna, touch one of
his arrows with light, which is an
at-will, and I'm going to launch
it into the ceiling just to see
Sam: You, cast light in your arrow, you
launch it at the ceiling, and what you
see is, this, rather large spider rat,
Adam: How large are we talking?
Kaleb: we talking like a bus, a dog?
Like how big is this thing?
Adam: A dog?
A spider rat dog?
Sam: the size of a bear.
The size of like a Kodiak bear.
except where...
So it has, it has its eight legs, its
spider legs, or like spider rat legs.
And then outside of where its neck usually
is, there are 12 necks spewing out of it
with these massive like grotesque heads as
it like kind of looks at you guys and like
snarls as the light dissipates off, as
the arrow kind of clinks the, the ceiling.
Kaleb: I was right.
The spider rats, the false hydra
Grace: As someone actually in real life
allergic to rats, that's horrifying.
Adam: Oh, it's so sad that
you're allergic to rats though.
They're such a cool pet
Sam: Yeah
Grace: friend that owns six of them
Adam: I owned hamsters as a
child, and those were fun.
But I always wanted a rat, but
mom, mom and rat was not...
Grace: the same
Kaleb: Oh, no.
Does the spider rat do
anything when Draven
Sam: yeah.
Yes,
Grace: Sorry,
Sam: Got lost in
Adam: Please tell me he
just focuses on Van Draven.
Sam: He's the one that shot him.
Kaleb: It's the one that shot it.
Sam: as the arrow,
Zac: I didn't hit him, did I?
Did I hit him?
Sam: You kinda just, like,
launched it out into the...
So it, it, it hits the ceiling,
like, kinda like a, like the,
the ceiling, and you see all
of its eyes kinda just, like...
'Cause it, it's a spider rat, so it
has, like, multiple eyes per, per head.
They all kinda fixate on Van,
and all these 12 heads go...
Adam: So 12 heads, do they have
eight eyes each or two eyes?
Sam: Yes.
Eight eyes, eight eyes each per head.
And the thing looks at you, Van, and
like opens its mouth to like roar and
its jaw like unhinges like this and it
comes like fully like vertical jaw and
you see like 12 rows of like sharp teeth
per head as it like roars at you guys.
roll initiative
Kaleb: Oh, you s- I hate
Adam: Now, see, Reggie didn't look
at it, so he doesn't know it's there
Kaleb: Reggie, yeah.
Reggie actually, it has a
surprise round on Reggie
Adam: Reggie's just casually
still walking towards the orb
like, "What's going on, guys?"
Kaleb: a, I got a 13.
Grace: Ooh,
Sky: Dirty 20
Adam: dang, that's a good initiative.
Sam: Perfect.
Adam: Let me roll my advantage
Zac: I am terrified.
This thing is fucking terrifying.
Adam: Oh.
Yeah, this is a,
Zac: That's a good home
brew monster for sure.
Kaleb: Yeah,
Adam: 12 plus seven,
Sam: what's your initiative?
Reggie 19.
Adam: Now someone can
elect for me to go first.
If anybody doesn't want to go first
against the spiderette, I can go first
Grace: Here's the thing, do you
have ranged attacks or do you need
to wait for it to get down to us?
Adam: Hmm, good question
Zac: Great question
Sam: So then initiative is gonna
be Grace, then Sky, then Reggie,
then the monster, then Caleb
Adam: I could throw my trident.
Zac: I'm last?
Sam: What, what, what'd you roll?
Grace: I didn't
Adam: spear ahead, Grace.
Zac: OKãOKãOKãOK
Adam: You're like, "What's that gonna do?"
It'll do 1D8 plus four damage, I mean.
Yeah, that's okay.
Go ahead, Grace.
Ha- handle this.
Kaleb: Yeah, please
Zac: Do, do that 95 damage you do.
Kaleb: Correct.
Please
Zac: Please kill it before it gets to me
Kaleb: Oh
Grace: I'm gonna do my insightful
fighting, so it needs to roll deception
against my insight, and that'll
give me automatic sneak attack.
Sam: OK
Grace: to beat a 25
Sam: 25.
it rolls a four
Grace: So first attack is 22
Sam: Let me pull up, 22 hits
Grace: Really?
Sam: that also hits
Adam: Thank God.
Zac: I have a question.
Adam: We're not having to roll over 20
Sam: It is still currently on the ceiling
Zac: Okay
Grace: Yeah, this is with my short bow.
Zac: Okay, cool, cool,
Kaleb: just rejected that
Grace: yeah, so the first
one with sneak attack is...
Is 31, and then the second attack is...
Make that
34.
Yes, 34.
And the second one is a mere
five points of piercing damage
Sam: Perfect
Bam, bam, bam, bam.
Adam: We need something to make it fall
Grace: Ja
Kaleb: Oof.
Yeah.
Adam: Or Reggie's gonna have to
jump and grapple it to take it down.
Grace: it will, I can't imagine this
thing has ranged attacks, right?
It's gotta come down to us
Adam: not,
Sky: Jo då
Zac: Otters have
Adam: more
Zac: mind you
Kaleb: great.
Adam: I gotta grapple this thing
before it grapples Mandrake.
Kaleb: It's just gonna start chasing him
Sam: All right, Sky, you're up
Sky: Amazing.
All right, I am, gonna Guiding
Bolt this sucker at fourth level.
I don't like the look of this thing.
Kaleb: You done with it?
Sky: 18 plus nine.
Big numbers.
Sam: go, as you go to, cast Guiding Bolt,
one of its mouths open up, it's gonna
use its reaction and open up and, like,
swallow, try to swallow your, Guiding
Bolt, and it's gonna cast Counterspell
Zac: Oh my God
Grace: It has spells
Kaleb: Yeah.
Sam: yeah,
Sky: Tells me what I have
to do next turn
Sam: Yes.
Yeah, perfect.
Sky: then I am going to use my
movement to back the fuck away,
as far away from this thing
as I can
Zac: Smart.
Very
Sky: I'm gonna say, "Good luck, gang.
I'll have your back from back here."
Sam: Awesome.
Reggie, you're up
Adam: I try to grapple it,
Kaleb: Is it up on the
Sam: It's on the ceiling
Adam: I have jump, right?
Sam: You can jump
Adam: I mean, it's what?
12-foot high ceilings
Sam: Yeah
Kaleb: I mean, I was gonna get out, I have
something to pull it down to the ground.
but Reggie, I don't know if you
have anything else you can do
Adam: At the beginning of my turn,
I was gonna throw a trident, so
Kaleb: you do what you do,
'cause I can get it on the ground
I can attempt to get it on the ground
Adam: I'm gonna enter
rage as a bonus action.
Just go ahead and count that.
but no, that doesn't count when throwing
Okay.
Yeah, I guess I'll just grapple it
Sam: Okay.
You're gonna jump up in,
it's a contested strength
Adam: Yes, it is.
It's plus eight plus my proficiency
bonus plus my strength
Sam: It got a 24 in its strength
Adam: Okay.
That, my strength is nineteen
plus eight, twenty five
Sam: 25.
Awesome.
Adam: Or actually that's
not, that's not math, right?
Sam: either way you're able
to, to grapple the stick.
And so it'll have,
disadvantage on, attacks
Zac: Nice
Adam: And it takes five
da- yeah, no, we're good.
We're good there.
Yeah.
Sam: Does it take damage?
No?
Yes?
Adam: it doesn't
Sam: Great.
Perfect.
Awesome.
Adam: I'm just riding it like a
horse, I guess, at this point.
Sam: OK
Kaleb: The world's most disturbing
Sam: it's the monster's term and
it's gonna try to, like attack
you and kinda like use its legs to
kind of pry, like, you off of him.
but it's just gonna
make a, an attack roll.
I think I only get one attack.
I'm just verifying
Adam: You try not to ungrapple yourself?
Sam: no, because this
thing's not that smart.
it just has you grappled and
wants to just get you off of it.
So it's gonna roll with
disadvantage against you.
Adam: Bring
Sam: that's a nat one and a 15.
So it's gonna miss unless
the nat one hits you somehow.
Adam: Nah.
Zac: I don't think that's happening
Sam: One of the heads is
gonna just snap back and wail.
And from each of the four corners
of the room, one, like little
shadow just like fff, fff, kind of
appear and morph out of the corner.
So there's four shadows, in each
corner of the room, and they're
gonna roll their own initiative
Kaleb: Well, I hate that
Sam: Four,
Kaleb: are they also
shaped like spider rats?
Sam: Yes, they're smaller spider ants
Kaleb: Oké,
Zac: That's
Adam: Mama spider rat
and its baby spider rats.
Zac: Okay
Kaleb: mother spiderette
The most dangerous creature on the planet
Zac: The
Sam: All right.
And that is gonna be its turn
Zac: Okay.
Then
Adam: Wait, do I get an op attack
on that since he tried to attack me
Zac: No,
Adam: he's still grappled?
Sam: so.
Adam: I don't know how that
works, why you didn't...
Hmm
Kaleb: Just to confirm, they're
grappled up on the ceiling
Sam: Yes, correct.
Adam: Yeah, I gotta kick off.
My next turn is shoving him if
you don't take him down now.
Kaleb: That's the,
Zac: Question, are those four
shadows together or separate?
Sam: Separate, and each in the corner,
each of the four corners of the room
Zac: Okay.
I gots an idea.
It's a good one.
Adam: the frightened condition,
Kaleb: No, he absolutely should
Zac: Hey, Adam, shut up.
Sam: roll me eight.
Adam: He said he was scared of spiders
and that it was his core thing.
Kaleb: I believe the
word was arachnophobic
Adam: Yeah.
Zac: Arachnophobic.
Guys, you know, you're
supposed to be helping me here.
Adam: I wanna make this a fair fight.
Sam: you're right, Adam.
Zac, Zac,
Kaleb: He's got 12 heads
Sam: me a charisma
saving throw to save face
Adam: Yeah.
Sam: Then
Kaleb: f- I, what
Zac: But I've got a D6 of
inspiration for doing the thing
Sam: true.
Kaleb: I can also Flash of
Sam: I'm gonna ask, Zac, what
DC would you set for yourself?
Like, how scared is Van of spiders?
Zac: I'd say genuinely
he's probably like a 15
Sam: OK
Kaleb: I could get you to
that with my Flash of Genius
Adam: The Slim Roll is inspiration
Kaleb: if you want to roll the
inspiration, I just don't know
what you want to try to save it
Adam: I'll give you my
inspiration from last time
Zac: All right, let's just say
Adam: Give you a handout.
Zac: only a two 'cause I
rolled a 1d6, so that's a 12.
Adam: Guidance.
Sky: I, I, shit.
Adam: Oyoshi.
Grace: for yourself, my friends
Zac: okay,
Adam: now.
Zac: So hear me out.
I have something, it's
called tactical mind.
When I fail an ability check, I can expend
a use of second wind and roll a 1d10
to add the result to the ability check
Adam: Gotta roll more than a three, folks.
More than a three.
Sky: Russell.
Kaleb: What are you, what are you missing?
Oh, there we go.
Good
Sam: Nice.
There you go
Zac: Okay, so there we go.
That's what we're gonna do.
And I have two more second
winds, so if it comes back
around to me I can do this again.
Kaleb: so
Adam: minor illusion to
make it a balloon animal.
Zac: I think Vant Raven's gonna
see this and he's gonna be,
like, scared shitless at first.
He's, he's gonna kinda snap
out of it 'cause he's gonna
realize, like, there's more.
And he's...
Like, he saw that this thing called
the other one, so he's gonna be going
for, he's gonna go for the mama or
the daddy or whatever this thing is.
so his first attack is just gonna
be a normal short bow attack
Sam: OK
Zac: That is a 16
Sam: That does not hit
Zac: Okay, that's fine.
I got another attack.
I remember I get two attacks.
That's cool.
So he's gonna shoot one.
He's gonna go for an, a second
attack, which is also...
Has this thing taken
any damage, by the way?
Sam: Yes.
Mm-hmm.
Zac: Second attack is
also gonna be a short bow.
Sam: OK
Zac: Let's see.
Bonus action, what can I do?
So I think for my bonus action, I'm just
gonna m- mark it with Hunter's Mark Yeah.
I'm gonna, I'm, I'm throw
Hunter's Mark on that bad boy.
And, Hunter's Mark, if
anybody needs to know
Until the spell ends, I'll deal an
extra 1d6 force damage to the target
whenever it's hit with an attack roll
Kaleb: And that's just you, correct?
That's not everybody?
Zac: Yeah, I don't think that applies
Kaleb: Cool
Zac: But with Hunter's Mark, since
I am, a ranger, I get hunter's lore.
When it's marked by Hunter's
Mark, I know whether it has an
immunity, resistant vulnerability,
or, like, weakness basically
Sam: Perfect.
it only has condition immunities against
charmed, exhaustion, and frightened
Kaleb: I'm really glad you did that
Zac: Okay, good.
Kaleb: I'm assuming it's my turn next
Sam: it is, but it's gonna
use a legendary action.
and it's going to...
one of the other heads is gonna
snap back and cast Hex on Van
Zac: What's my saving throw?
Sam: I don't think there's
a saving throw for Hex.
Grace: X just
Zac: that not?
Sam: Hex just
Grace: Yeah
Sam: unless you have counter
Zac: no.
No
Grace: The beauty of
Kaleb: Sit down, Mr.
Sky: So the question
is, what is it hexing?
Sam: it is concentration.
let's find out.
Mineralogy six.
that's gonna be wisdom
Adam: It has a mark on it, Zac?
Zac: Mm-hmm.
Adam: Did you find out any info about him?
Zac: No, it just has
a, condition immunities
what do I have to do, Sam?
Sam: it just casts Hex on you,
and it's gonna hex, wisdom
Zac: That's fine
Adam: X
Sam: That is its lesson reaction
Adam: This thing's got legendary axe?
Sam: Dorian,
Grace: spells and minions.
Yes, it has legendary actions.
Adam: kind of BS is that?
Kaleb: I was gonna cast shatter on the
portion of the s- the ceiling that it's on
Sky: ããï¼
Kaleb: to bring it down to
Sam: Oh, interesting.
Interesting
Zac: is grappling this, remind you
Kaleb: No, I know.
that's why I was trying to dissuade
Reggie from doing that, but
Zac: He's in it for the long run
Sam: you can
Adam: He's riding a bull right now.
Sam: but both the monster and Reggie
will take damage or have to succeed on
a save or whatever verbiage Shadow has
Adam: Is it, what is it?
Dex?
Kaleb: it is a dex.
Adam: I have advantage on dex save, so.
Kaleb: Oh, no, sorry, constitution
Adam: Damn.
I have a high con anyway, so
Sam: barbarian
Kaleb: Correct.
So
Sam: Is that what you wanna do?
Kaleb: if you're, if you're, I mean, yeah
Adam: Yeah, my constitution's plus nine.
Kaleb: I'm gonna absolutely
cast shatter, on the...
So it's not actually on the s- spider rat.
It's on the portion of the ceiling.
It is a 10-foot radius, like, sphere,
so, like, if I can catch part of
the spider rat on it, that would be
Sam: It roll, it r- it did roll a
20 on its, con save, so 20 plus four
Kaleb: Well, yeah, no, they got it
Sam: But I think, I think it's,
it's still gonna drop, drop
Kaleb: half, it's
Sam: Yeah, it's still gonna
drop them from the ceiling
Kaleb: Give me one second and I
can tell you what he's gonna take.
That is five, six, that is
11, that's 16, that's 17.
So we're rounding down, right?
Sam: УгÑ
Adam: I
Kaleb: on the damage
Adam: I rolled an 18.
Is
Kaleb: You rolled an 18?
yeah, you beat it.
Yeah, so you, you take half a half.
Am I okay, Papa?
Sam: eight, minus eight
Adam: Am I
Kaleb: Yeah, so it's 17, 17 damage.
So you take...
my goal was to try to bring that
portion of the ceiling down so
that the rat's on the ground, the
spider rat's on the ground with us
Sam: So as you, as you launch it, the,
the rat and Reggie, fall to the ground
Adam: Cool.
Kaleb: He's on the ground now.
He's still writing them down.
and then only other thing I have
as a bonus action is I am going
to engage my defensive field
and give myself some temp HP.
Sam: All right
Kaleb: got 12, 12 temp
HP, and then I am done
Sam: Wonderful
Oh, it's the shadow's turn.
Kaleb: And then
Sam: So all these four shadows are gonna,
Sky: back as I can be.
Zac: Yeah.
Sky: a wall.
Kaleb: Where, I was gonna
say where in rela- where was
the spider rat in relation to
Sky: the ladder, mid-climb.
Kaleb: Yeah, 'cause I don't think
I, I know I haven't moved from
when we would've like dropped down
Sam: Yeah.
So actually, so I think what's
Adam: everyone's crowded
around the ladder.
And then there's me just riding.
Sam: so the four of you
are back by the ladder.
Reggie and the spider rat are
in the center of the room.
And so I'm thinking the four corners
are where these shadows are, so
only the two closest to you guys
are gonna get, attacks on you.
And I'm literally just gonna
roll a D4 and see who it attacks
Adam: Is there still a lilac
room at this point too?
Sky: rave in here,
Kaleb: the spider is a lilac color now.
Sam: So that's gonna...
Ooh, so they're actually b- both
gonna hit Dorian, unfortunately.
Or go, try, try, try to attack you anyway.
so we're gonna see if
they, if these two hit.
Adam: Are these spiders or are these rats?
Zac: Like rats
Kaleb: Rats.
Sky: Both
Adam: They're both?
Zac: Both
Adam: Dang, I really wanna know,
Sam: I rolled an 18 on one of them,
and I rolled a 20 on the other one
Zac: Oh,
Kaleb: hit.
Sam: they both hit.
Zac: crit, one's a fucking
Sam: so that's gonna be, 15 total
necrotic damage to you, Dorian.
Kaleb: Mhm
Sam: Your strength score
is reduced by seven
Zac: Oh my
Sam: I rolled a four
and a three on the d4s
Adam: He made this to counter me.
Grace: Hello
Kaleb: Wait, so I, my
total strength score drops
Sam: down by seven, by four
and then by another three
Kaleb: So I take
Zac: Is that because
of the necrotic damage?
Sam: It's 'cause it's the
draining swipe on the shadows.
Zac: Oh my
Sam: the shadows that block.
They are
undead, but they're shadows.
So when they hit, they reduce
your strength score by 1D4.
Adam: Sam is a menace
Sky: My cleric is tingling right now.
Kaleb: my strength score is a five
Zac: You're, my rat
spidey senses are tingling
Kaleb: My strength score
is a five, so let's do this
Grace: Who
Adam: Anybody need to take a picture
of this guy for a strange report?
Sam: Yeah.
Kaleb: that
Sam: don't underestimate the,
the CR one-half creatures, guys.
These guys, these things are nasty
Kaleb: 'Cause what's my
modifier for that now?
Zac: Like negative five in strength
Kaleb: I was gonna say, yeah, if
it's a five, I don't know what the
negative would be, but it's rough.
Sam: Yeah, it's bad.
And then we go to the top of initiative
Grace: Me gripped
Sam: Yes
Zac: Yes
Grace: Okay.
Well, since our big bad here
is on the ground now, can I
get to a position of flanking?
Sam: Yes, you can
Grace: Excellent.
Okay, I'm gonna switch out for my, short
sword, and that's, 22 for the first attack
Sam: Oh, that hits for sure
Grace: And exactly the same,
another 22 for the second.
Sam: Wonderful
Grace: So, and with my D6,
sneak attack on the first one.
So,
it's only 11 points of piercing damage.
But then I can do a little
divine smite on the second
Sam: Ooh.
Grace: we'll just do a first level.
So that's just one point of piercing
and eight points of radiance
Sam: Awesome.
So nine total
Grace: Yes, I still have my bonus action,
so I'll bonus action disengage, right?
disengage, and, skedaddle on
back to, closer to where we
were at the base of the, ladder
Sam: Okay.
Wonderful
Grace: Sorry, buddy.
The last time I tried to stay
put to give someone flanking,
they ran away and I almost died.
Kaleb: You, yeah, you didn't
Zac: die
Grace: I did die.
Adam: did
Kaleb: You super died
Adam: You're super dead.
Zac: got split in
Kaleb: You are super dead
Grace: I
Adam: You earned a mark for it though.
Grace: anyways, that's all
Zac: What is next?
Sam: All right.
Adam: cool tattoo out of it.
Sky: I'm gonna...
How far, so like how far are
the other shadows from me?
Not the two that were already
Sam: by their next turn they'll have
movement to get to where you're at.
They're kind of standing in
Sky: But they're within 30 feet of me?
Sam: Yes.
Sky: Cool.
I'm gonna use my action to turn
undead, DC 17 wisdom saving throws
Sam: he's 17 with some saves for...
So that's all four of them?
Sky: anything undead within 30 feet of me
Sam: That would probably
be all four of them.
Good thing I have four sets of dice.
that is a 16, a five, a 10, and a 12.
They
Sky: So they all fail?
Sam: They all
Sky: they are frightened and incapacitated
conditions for one minute, and they
have to run as far as they can from me.
Sam: Awesome
Sky: and because they failed,
they take my seer undead, so
they will take 5d8 radiant.
Sam: Awesome.
And they're vulnerable.
and so double it 'cause
they're vulnerable.
Sky: So
Sam: 44.
this guy, as, as you use your seer
undead, these things just, like,
explode in light and they're all four
of them are, like, instantly destroyed
Grace: Wow, nice.
Sky: pop my knuckles,
Zac: Yes,
Adam: Then he summons eight more.
Sam: Cleric
Sky: so,
Zac: It's like a hydra just-
Sky: bonus action, I will go ahead
and do my, celestial revelation.
So I go, a searing light, comes off of me.
Sam: Awesome
Sky: be my turn
Sam: All right.
Reggie, you're up
Zac: Swing, baby boy.
Adam: What?
Sam: Magi
Zac: Swing
Adam: Swing?
Yeah, all right, I'll swing
Sam: Yeah, I could figure out if
you're not grappling him to swing
Adam: I get two actions, so I
could swing and then grapple again
Sam: Yeah
Adam: Yeah, I may do that.
Y'all are doing fine.
I'm afraid if I don't,
he will get disadvantage.
Like, d- I think disadvantage will be
helpful more than him being able to attack
Grace: Yeah
Adam: That's an eight, 18
Sam: 18 hits.
His AC
Adam: 18 hits?
Okay.
Okay, cool.
I'm just gonna roll it here
'cause that's just easier.
16 damage
Sam: That's 16 damage.
Adam: Sixteen.
And
Make sure I have that.
Make sure I did everything right there.
Okay.
Yeah, and then, beat my 27 for grapple
Sam: Oh,
Adam: Beat it
Sam: there's no way.
he only has a plus four in his strength,
so there's no way he's gonna be at 27.
But for posterity, that's a 15.
Two
Adam: and then bonus action.
Nope.
Okay, I'm good.
Sam: All right.
It's gonna try to attack you with
disadvantage with its many legs.
which is, that's a four and a five.
That's not happening.
but it's gonna use the same, bonus
action and the head will reach,
reel back, and then it'll actually
populate some more shadows.
And I'm gonna roll for this one.
three shadows, two in the back and then
one in the, kind of closer right corner.
And their initiative
Adam: Over the
Sam: 15
Zac: right
Sam: So these chats
actually go before you, Van
They rolled a 15 on their initiative.
Kaleb: yeah
Sam: one of them is going to, I'm gonna
roll again to see who they attack.
That's going to be, 'cause Van,
yeah, you still, you haven't moved.
So it's gonna, one in the
corner's gonna try to attack you.
A six doesn't hit, right?
Zac: No
Sam: Okay, great.
and that is gonna be its turn.
Now it's your turn
Zac: All right.
Van's gonna try and
shoot it with a bow again.
Sam: Beautiful
Zac: I'm gonna hit it.
The first attack is going to do one 10
Adam: Yeah
Zac: attack's gonna do 13
Sam: Okay
Zac: the second attack, I'm gonna go again
With a short bow.
And that is a 21 again to hit
That is, ooh, nice
The second attack does 15 damage.
Sam: Amazing
Zac: And I'm also going to cast my
action surge as a bonus, which means I
can take one more shot at this bad boy
Or take one more action
Sam: you can take two O2 attacks with that
Zac: Oh, I can go two attacks again
Sam: With an action surge.
Adam: it's a whole
Sam: get your full
Zac: Oh, it pulls,
Adam: It's a whole nother turn basically
Zac: Awesome.
Sam: haste is the spell that
only allows for one attack.
Zac: Understood.
Yep, you're right.
Sam: But yeah, you get two attacks.
Zac: I'm gonna do a bow once
Sam: Ah bah
Zac: That is a 27
Sam: That's awesome
Zac: so that is going to do
Let's see.
A nine plus a
six.
That's 14 damage
Sam: Awesome
Zac: And The last one I'm gonna
do an Ensnaring Strike spell
Sam: OK
Zac: you have to make a strength of 15
Sam: It rolls a one
Zac: Oh, yeah.
Yeah, well, you are restrained
Sam: Perfect.
Adam: You're restrained and grappled
Sam: Yes
Zac: well now you don't
have to grapple it.
That's why I'm saying
it will be restrained.
You can actually do other
Adam: Just, it's fine.
I'll do my two attacks, but my one
worry will be is my AC or DC is much
higher that he can't even un-grapple
himself totally versus a 15 on that.
So I will do it, but I can re-grapple
at any time if this goes south, so
Zac: To give you some attacks here.
Adam: Yeah, it gives me an extra attack,
Sam: Did, did, that do any damage?
Zac: one.
Sam: one damage.
Minus one.
Sky: Oh
Kaleb: All right.
Zac: Keep doing some
Adam: itself.
Kaleb: my, it's my turn, right?
Zac: That's his legendary action.
Kaleb: Ok, cool, cool.
Adam: Legendary reaction is revive.
Kaleb: Yeah, no, I was gonna do lightning
bolt, but that'll end up hitting
Reggie, and I don't wanna do that.
Adam: No, it's fine.
I can take it.
Do it.
Sam: Hit me, I can take it.
Adam: Just do it.
Take
Kaleb: I mean,
Sam: you can't
Adam: Do it.
I got enough.
I can take it
Kaleb: Okay, cool.
Adam: he looks at you and he
like gives you a big old thumbs
up and like, "Just do it!"
Kaleb: Yeah, I'm definitely
gonna cast lightning.
I just gotta make sure that it's...
I don't have any, lightning bolt.
There we go.
Adam: Big old thumbs up.
Kaleb: d- oh, it's a
dexterity saving throw.
Cool.
Adam: I got advantage on
Kaleb: that.
and, yeah, he, the spider rat
just has to make a dexterity
saving throw or it takes eight D6,
Zac: Ooh
Sam: Oof.
that's gonna be an, a 19 on its dex save
Kaleb: I don't know.
Adam: It's half
Kaleb: Now that makes it...
It still takes half, but,
yeah, give me one second.
Adam: Well, the 20, 20...
That was in 19,
Kaleb: Yeah.
yeah, that's 16
Sam: 16?
Awesome
Kaleb: Yeah.
Adam: so half of 16 or 16
Kaleb: yeah, six, so take...
Yeah, six.
No, it's 16 total, so
take, yeah, 16 is half.
Adam: Oh, so eight.
Kaleb: Yep.
Sam: Yep
Kaleb: Yeah.
and then h- out of curiosity, how
close are we to the spider rat?
Sam: Oh, like within 30 feet
Kaleb: No, I can do more damage
with my spells at the moment.
Adam: And we need a druid for a moonbeam.
Kaleb: Yeah, no, I'm gonna, I'm gonna hang
out here and then, I'm gonna bonus action.
I'm gonna reengage my, defensive field
so that I can get some t- temp HP.
Sam: Perfect
Kaleb: Cool.
Adam: play a druid next.
Sam: we go top of initiative,
Grace: Cool.
gonna do the exact same thing again.
Just gonna go up, hit it,
and then try to run away.
First attack is a lot, 24.
Second attack is,
Sam: I suppose it
Grace: 26 on the first attack.
Sam: 26
Grace: And then,
Sam: Awesome
Grace: piercing.
And the second one, gonna do
another first level divine smite.
Oh, my God, that was a spell slot
And that's, 11 radiant damage
and five piercing damage
Sam: Wonderful
Grace: And then disengage,
run away, and that's my turn
Sam: That's a fair amount of damage
Adam: I tell you, Anya's character is
Sky: Wild
Kaleb: I'm loving
Zac: yeah
Kaleb: Love
Sam: just
Grace: I can hit hard,
cannot take a hard hit.
So bit of a glass
cannon over here.
Sam: HP
Adam: I love it.
It's awesome.
Kaleb: I'm here for it
Sam: a, I love a glass cannon
Love
Adam: disengage is so helpful when
it comes to those kind of builds
Sam: Yeah.
That's why I wrote, like, two
levels of rogue can get you so much.
Grace: now I got seven of them
Kaleb: Nice guy.
Adam: The rest of it's paladin, right?
Grace: Mm-hmm.
Adam: You have seven in
pala- or five in paladin?
Grace: So the seven in rogue
gets me up to, like both uncanny
dodge and evasion, 'cause it's...
I get it at seven level, and then the
five in paladin get me up to a second
attack, so we're sitting pretty over here.
Anyway, continue.
Adam: Good job.
Grace: I'm raxed
Sam: All right.
Peace, my man
Sky: I'm gonna do a sacred flame,
so Big Mama needs to do a dex 17
Sam: Text 17, that is not gonna do it
Sky: Okay, then it will
take, 14 radiant damage
Sam: 14 radiant
Sky: And then I am going to run
up to it and get on the, So I'm
imagining Reggie's on one side and
Anya keeps coming to the other side.
Adam: Yeah.
Sam: Mhm,
Adam: Basically,
Sky: wanna,
Adam: I'm holding onto the, to the
big spider on one side, and then
you can come over to the other
and you get advantage basically.
Sky: yeah, I know you backed up.
I wanna get to the back of it if I can
Sam: Yep,
Sky: The thorax.
And so then I'm gonna end my turn
there, and it will take four radiant
damage from my Inner Radiance
Sam: Perfect.
Minus four.
Grace: right.
Your inner sparkle
Sam: I
Adam: I just know Zac is gonna
reuse this monster when it gets
to his turn to wrap everything up.
Like, Zac's gonna summon
this sucker for Malakar,
Kaleb: army of spider rats
Adam: "Well, I remember it."
Zac: Y'all don't even
know what's gonna happen
Sam: I'll, I'll send you the step block
Kaleb: I'm in
Sky: Absolut.
Sam: there actually is a more
powerful version of this that I
Adam: image.
Z- Zac's like, "Send that one to me."
Sam: Reggie, you're
up, I think.
Kaleb: Yes
Sam: We got 35 HP left in this sucker
Adam: All right, I'm disengaging
my grapple and I'm just
gonna go for the kill.
Sam: it
Adam: All right.
Advantage.
Nat 20 on the first one
Sam: Oh my
Sky: Damn right
Kaleb: Let's go
Sam: let's
Adam: I- technically it was my second
roll with that advantage that I got,
but no, it's nat 20 on the second roll.
It was a three the first time.
so that will be max of
17 damage on that one.
Sam: Okay
Adam: folks.
Sky: This ready
Zac: Oh, Reginald
Adam: 13 plus 9 is 21.
Sam: that does it.
Adam: Or 22, I cannot do math
Sam: Yeah.
No, that's fine
Adam: And
Kaleb: 17
Sam: 35 minus 17 is 18
Adam: Ah, yeah, no.
I rolled a seven
Sam: Nah, close.
We have 11, 11 HP left
Zac: It killed him.
Sam: All right, it's
now the monster's turn.
Adam: Yeah, and it's gotta get out
Sam: so it's gonna make its, attack
against Reggie again, 'cause it's the
thing that's closest and it can't move, so
Adam: hope this works you, Zac.
Sam: A, that's a three
Zac: Hey,
Sam: on the lowest.
Zac: guy kills the big spider ass.
Kaleb: do it
Sam: and then I, I, I, yeah, it's just
gonna, it's gonna end this turn there.
Van, it's your turn.
Adam: Do it, Suresh.
Sam: wait.
there's still two, there's
still shadows to do.
There's still shadows to
Kaleb: the-- hey, but
what if there wasn't?
Just hear me out.
What if
Sam: so I'm gonna go left to
right, one, two, three, four,
and that's not including Reggie.
So one, two, three, four.
This first one is gonna go after, Van.
One, one's gonna go after you, and
that's not gonna hit, that's a five.
The second one's gonna go after, Isabelle.
That's a 12, 12 to hit.
No, that hits you, right?
Great.
And then the third one is gonna
go after Dorian with a 19.
With a nine- with a nine- 19 to
Adam: hit you.
Sam: I,
Kaleb: that hits
Sam: I kid you not.
Adam: Negative strength.
Negative two.
Sam: that's five, necrotic damage and,
the trance core is reduced by another two
Adam: Sorry, you weakling.
Grace: No
Sam: Now it's Vance
Kaleb: my own hands
Adam: Can you even like stand up or
are you just like prone at that point?
Kaleb: I'm not immobile yet.
I'm not paralyzed yet,
but I'm pretty close
Sky: I'm getting there.
Adam: My bones are weak.
Zac: with the short bow.
That is a 23 to
Kaleb: in a wheelchair
Sam: That hits.
Good make 11, 11 damage.
Do 11 damage
Adam: He's in a wheelchair.
Zac: did 10
damage and then adding Colossus Slayer
I did another eight, so 18 damage
Sam: Awesome.
how do you kill a spider rat?
Zac: I think
Vandraven's gonna sit there.
He's gonna knock an arrow back, and
he's actually gonna say a prayer to Tyr.
He's gonna say, "Tyr, guide my bow."
And he's accidentally, I think
he's gonna hit light on the arrow
itself, and, he's gonna release it.
Yeah, I'm gonna choose, like, a blue.
Adam: Choose your color.
Zac: And so I think it's gonna,
you know, be a glowing arrow, and
this rat thing's gonna go back to,
like, call more reinforcements.
It's gonna rear its head back, and
almost like the scene from Lord of
the Rings where they shoot the cave
troll in the mouth, it's gonna go,
I mean, straight in the back of its
throat and just, I mean, hit it,
just nail it, stop it from screaming.
And that thing's gonna drop.
Adam: troll noise?
Zac: Yeah.
it makes the cave troll noise from Lord
of the Rings, and it's gonna fall down.
You're gonna kind of feel bad for it
in a, in a, in a way, in a weird way.
Kaleb: Spider rat.
I don't feel bad for it
Zac: Carterrat's dead.
Sam: Spider rat's dead
with all of its heads dead.
Adam: You only hit one head,
Sam: awesome.
Zac: The main
Sam: there's still like
12 more heads, guys.
Two more heads take its place.
roll initiative again.
No, I'm kidding.
We'll be here for hours.
Awesome.
So you have this dead spider rat, and
as you kill it, the shadows dissipate.
Zac: ãã
Sam: this dead spider rat in
front of you and this glowing
orb in the back of the room
Zac: then Draven's...
Grace: check all that over
Zac: Yeah, we're going towards the orb
Kaleb: Grab the orb.
Adam: So put on some gloves beforehand.
Kaleb: Doran wants to get out of
Adam: out.
Kaleb: here
Zac: Yep.
We're grabbing the orb.
Grab the orb, boys and girls
Adam: Oh, he just, he just,
no regard, just grabbing it
Zac: Yeah, he already faced his fear
Kaleb: I have my gauntlets on.
I can grab it
Zac: Yeah, there you go
Kaleb: I'm gonna grab the orb.
Sam: Dorian, you pick up the
order and, I actually need you

check as you guys had a look at it
Kaleb: Okay.
dead
Adam: Explosion.
Zac: Eight
Kaleb: And history?
Sam: Yeah
Kaleb: 26
Sky: Wow
Sam: Dorian, what does a
fragment of a cipher look like?
Kaleb: To Dorian.
Dorian picks it up and it
immediately takes the shape
of, like, a fractured gear.
Like, when he picks it up, that's just
what he sees, is it's like a, a cracked
piece of, like a, like a mechanical gear
Zac: ã ã¼ãã
Sam: that this was the thing that
you were sent here to recover.
this is part of the, the cipher that
will, hopefully bring back the divine
and put an end to Malachar's reign.
as you guys grab it, the whole room
starts to be filled with light and
like things start to fly out of it.
Like several...
You could, you could call like
magic missiles kind of swirling
around you guys, and it teleports
you to like the middle of town.
the town is now,
Adam: chest.
Sam: yes.
Do, do, do, do.
Adam: One of the chest
in the crypt upstairs.
Zac: that's secondary
Grace: the key.
Sam: you guys gain a, a
heart gainer and a container.
Adam: Heck yeah.
Sam: And, yeah, you guys
look around the town.
The, the curse has been lifted,
and everyone is back to normal life
Adam: But the Whos all come out
across the Christmas tree and learn
Sam: ahu door is.
Kaleb: Christmas
Adam: You're welcome
Sam: that's perfect.
That's all I had.
That's where we're gonna end.
You guys win
