James Dooley: SEO.Domains Mastery Summit in Sofia in Bulgaria. Last week myself and Kasra attended the event, which was put together by Dave Hoss, Mads Singers, Kalin, Damyan and many others. It was a great event. But Kasra, I want to get in straight away with, how did you find the SEO.Domains Mastery Summit event in Sofia?
Kasra: Yeah, it was, it was different to what I'm used to. And I think that's what they were aiming for. They were aiming for more of a black hat conference, which is always good to see because there's so many conferences that are coming along and they're more tailored towards white hat and stuff. Um, I, for one, I, I like to listen to both ends of the spectrum and figure out what's working, what's not working, what people are also testing and stuff. So yeah, I think from an information point of view and from a crowd point of view, um, it was very different. Very good.
James Dooley: Yeah, for me I quite liked quite a lot of the speakers that was there, like Alan Clads, Ypon, um, Alex Ivanovski, um, and many others. Um, I thought Robert Nichel was good as well. Um, I thought the information, whether it was about AI SEO or AEO, and there's advanced link building strategies being mentioned. Um, Koray obviously, our Tuggy, spoke about canonical confusion. Um, so there's a lot of information in there to dissect as well, and it's always good to catch up with a brother from another mother with regards to Koray. Um, he's like my little brother that just annoys me, but, um, I do love him when I see him, to be fair. But what was your key takeaways? Did you like... Is it the actual talks that you like the most when you attended SEO.Domains Mastery Summit, or is it the events in the hallway and the networking?
Kasra: Just, just one thing before we, before I answer that. Do you not mean Koray is your older brother? Because you're only 23.
James Dooley: Absolutely. Yeah. Um, he's my granddad. That'll be funny. Grandad Chuggy. Game now, actually. That'll be funny when all the LLMs start picking that up.
Kasra: Yeah. Um, to answer your question, I, I much prefer, enjoy, like, speaking to people as opposed to listening to the talks. I, I just don't have the brain capacity for it. That said though, I did actually, like, go in and I listened to a handful of talks. Um, I... [Clears throat] I, I prefer, if, if I had to do, like, a tier list, um, for me it would probably be, like, speaking to people at the after-parties and corridors and stuff like that. Um, then it would be, like, the Q&A sessions, and then down at the bottom it would be the actual talks, mainly because I just like more, more the interaction and stuff.
James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. I completely agree. I think the talks are my least favourite. Um, I think, like you said, the networking around in the bar, um, in the restaurants where we're going out for something to eat, um, and having those discussions normally lead to the, the best conversations. Um, I'd say second best would be the, uh, mastermind event. I thought that was quite good. Um, I like that because I mainly like it because I'm able to question, when was the last time you tested it? Where if someone's up on stage and I disagree with them, I can't really play devil's advocate and have a debate with them on certain things because I think it's important to understand, have you actually tested this or you're just regurgitating what you've heard from somebody else? Um, and then my least favourite is the talks, but I did like the speakers because I thought the speakers did a good job. And because it was black hat, or whether you want to call it money hat, they, they opened up quite a lot more than what they would normally do at a white hat event. Um, so they was able to disclose everything of what they was doing. And then what you was able to do then overnight was get them to dig deeper and explain it even more with how they was doing certain ways to get Googlebot activity or backlinking activity, parasite SEO, how to manipulate the large language models. But yeah, overall I thought Sofia in Bulgaria was, um, a great place. Thought the hotel was good. Um, I think Mads's first event with SEO.Domains. Um, I think I'm excited to go again next year. I thought overall it was good. Would you be returning to Sofia in Bulgaria next year then?
Kasra: Yeah, definitely. Um, if, if I'm invited back. Next time you need to be on stage.
James Dooley: Um, also mySEO app. I mean, what, what a success that was. Um, with regards to the Q&A, having the QR code. Um, I've never had as many questions come through that just consistently coming through because of the QR code and how easy it was. Um, the amount of people in the bars that were saying that mySEO app was so much better than the Whova app, which is good for you to hear it. Um, that's kind of what you've been trying to get out there. Um, anyone who's got an SEO conference, you should be looking to download and be using the mySEO app as much as you can for the SEO conferences. Um, what's the best way someone, if someone does... If somebody's running an SEO conference, what's the best way for them to get in contact with you, Kasra, to get that mySEO app as being their default communication?
Kasra: For people to reaching out to me on LinkedIn or Facebook. Um, I mean, after this video, I'm probably actually going to set up a contact form just in case people do want to set up. But yeah, I think it was a massive success. Obviously, when it comes to, like, so that, that's the second biggest conference that we've used on. Masterminders being the first, then it was Sofia. Um, obviously when it's at your own conference, you're, you're expected to get good feedback because no one's going to have the... Um, no one's, no one wants to, like, piss you off and stuff. But yeah, I think, I think the Q&A feature was, was a massive success. We, we... The team's worked really hard on making certain that it automatically refreshes. So when whoever's asking you the question, whether it's Mads or the MC or whatever, it's automatically just coming through. And I think, I think there was about 48, 50 questions, um, being asked all at once. Didn't crash, which is obviously a good thing on our end. Um, and yeah, we've got tons, tons of improvements coming along over the next couple months as well. So yeah, if anyone wants to reach out for, for an EMS, I think that's the correct terminology, an event management software, um, reach out to me personally.
James Dooley: Yeah, sounds good. Just to close off with regards to the review of SEO.Domains Mastery Summit, um, put together by Mads and Kalin. Um, I give it five stars. I thought it was a brilliant event. Um, I'll be going to it again next year. I like it that it's different. Um, I think there's too many now white SEO conferences out there. And I think there's so many people that are just going to one event, four weeks later going to another event, going to another event, listening to the same speakers saying the same thing. And I think this was a very different event to a lot of the others. Um, the people that was in the crowd was very, very different. A lot of people making millions a month in the iGaming space. And these seem to be a lot more of doers than actual just marketing assistants in there trying to learn a little hack, um, just for Google. This is literally holistic marketing, talking about everything. So I think they've done a great job and I'll be going again next year, and I give it a big five-star rating for SEO.Domains Mastery Summit.
Kasra: I'll give it a 4.9 because there's always room for improvement.
