Hi friends! I’m so happy you’re here. On Story Bitez we go on adventures, meet new friends, and learn something special every time. All you need to do is get comfy, open your ears, and let your imagination take you… ANYWHERE.

Today’s story is all about Melly and Mandy — the best friends ever — and what happens when Melly has to move far, far away. Will their friendship survive? Let’s find out. Are you ready? Let’s goooo!

The Story: Melly Moves Away

Mandy and Melly were the best of friends.
The best-best-best kind of friends.
They played every day, told each other stories, and even shared dolls. And Mandy never shared her dolls with anyone else!

Every morning, Melly would knock on Mandy’s door before school.
“C’mon Mandy! Hurry up! The bus won’t wait!” she’d shout.
If it weren’t for Melly, Mandy would probably still be brushing her hair when the bus left.

At lunch, Mandy always split her sandwich in half.
“Half for you, half for me.”
Because Melly’s grandma was forgetful, and sometimes… she forgot to pack Melly’s lunch.

At recess, the girls made up the silliest stories.
“Run! Run! The abominable snowman is after us!” Mandy yelled.
“Quick, hide behind the swings!” Melly laughed.
Of course, there was no snowman. Just two giggly girls and their very BIG imaginations.

In summer, they swam at the pool, wandered around the mall like queens, and had epic sleepovers.
Their friendship was like sunshine—warm, bright, and full of sparkle.

The Big News

But one day… things changed.

Melly came running to Mandy’s house.
Knock knock knock! She banged on the door.
When Mandy opened it, Melly stormed inside, tears rolling down her cheeks.

“What’s wrong?!” Mandy asked, handing her a cup of grape juice (her favorite).

Through big sobs, Melly finally blurted out:
“I’m MOVING!”

“To a new neighborhood?” Mandy asked hopefully.
“No…” Melly sniffled. “To a new country. ATLANTAAA!”

“ATLANTAAA?!” Mandy gasped.
“Yup. My mom got a new job. New house. New life. But I don’t want Atlanta! My best friend isn’t in Atlanta. My best friend is RIGHT HERE!”

The girls hugged and cried. Their tears fell so hard, even Mandy’s mom came into the room.

“What is going on in here?!” Mom asked.
“They’re moving me away to Atlantaaa!” Melly wailed.

A Poem for Friendship

Mona, Mandy’s mom, sat down beside them. She thought for a moment, then said softly:

“Sometimes friends are far apart,
But they are close inside the heart.
Even if the miles are long,
Friendship stays forever strong.”

The girls stopped crying for just a second.
“Does that mean… we’ll still be best friends?” Mandy asked.
“Of course,” said Mom. “It just means your adventures will look a little different.”

A Bright Side Appears

Mona explained:
“Sure, you won’t see each other every single day. But you can FaceTime every day after school.
And think about it—two schools, in two different places. That means double the stories, double the jokes, double the giggles!

And when school is out? You’ll get to visit each other. Sleepovers for a whole week instead of just one night! New malls, new restaurants, new adventures. And did you know Atlanta has an aquarium bigger than a castle?!”

The girls’ tears started to dry.
“Wait… new malls? And Latto, my favorite rapper, is from Atlanta?” Mandy said, suddenly excited.
“And they have a place where you can make your own toy!” Melly shouted.
They looked at each other and grinned.
“Okay… maybe Atlanta isn’t so bad after all.”

Friendship Forever

Two weeks later, Melly moved away. But just like they promised, Mandy and Melly FaceTimed every day. They told stories, made silly faces, and laughed until their cheeks hurt.

They both made new friends, but their bestie bond never faded. Because they knew the secret:

Friendship isn’t about how close you live. It’s about how much you care, and the love you keep alive.

Life Lesson (spoken gently):
So remember kids, if you have a best friend, treasure them! Even if one of you moves far away, love and laughter can travel any distance. Quality time is even more important than quantity of time. Real love and real friendship last forever.
