Hey, this is Chantal Gerardy from the Meaningful Marketing Podcast. And in this episode today, I would like to chat to you about how your negative energy and beliefs could be preventing you from getting marketing results. So often I have clients or potential clients who come to me And they're super excited about marketing and they're super excited about, you know, getting more clients and systemizing everything and having their content marketing plans and, and having everything working.
And then there's a, a large demographic of, of potential clients who will come to me and they want a result, but they don't believe that it's actually possible that it's going to work. They may have previously been burnt before, Previously, maybe it's never worked for them before, or they've made some bad decisions along the way.
Because we all know there's, you know, there's failures along the way and all of those failures are learnings. However, if you have a negative belief or attitude towards your marketing. Whoever is managing that marketing, whether it's the business owner or the marketing manager, it is going to impact the result of your marketing.
So it's important for us to at least have a look at it or be aware of how we are thinking about the results, about getting results for our marketing. So the person managing the content marketing could have the best attitude and personality and skills in the world. They could be motivated, happy, and positive. And therefore get a positive result. However, if they have a poor attitude, don't truly believe that this is going to work, it is going to rub off in their content. It is going to rub off in their marketing outcomes. So let me share with you how that's going to happen because unwittingly you are going to repel.
Any results from your marketing. So let's have a look at that. So a person with bad attitude towards their marketing or negative beliefs is unknowingly going to project negative energy, which is going to make them less attractive to others, right? Have you ever been around a person who's like, Oh, this doesn't work or, Oh, this sucks or, Oh, this isn't really going to work.
It's not the most attractive thing, right? And that negative. Energy will manifest itself through your content and through your marketing and through the results that you get. And it's not going to be, it's not going to make them very appealing to be around. They're complaining, their pessimism and their overall lack of enthusiasm is going to seep through into their content marketing and it's not going to give your marketing the best result. So secondly, having negative beliefs, your lack of confidence is going to shine through. If you have a lack of confidence and you're lacking in your overall abilities, you're going to not be very self assured and it's going to be sensed by others. If you are hesitant to make decisions or hesitant to post content or hesitant to try new things, That lack of confidence is going to stop you from getting the marketing results you can, you could possibly get. Now let's talk about networking for number three. If you are, have a negative attitude towards your business, getting results or you selling products online or your marketing working, it's going to.
Prevent you from attending networking events or social gatherings where potential opportunities could arise. You might be that person who's in a room, whole bunch of people there. Everybody's networking and you really don't want to be there. You really don't believe in the product that you're selling.
You don't really believe it's going to work and it is going to hinder your ability to connect with like minded individuals or potential business partners and future clients. So number four, having these negative beliefs around your marketing working will Give you a fear of taking risks. It will deter you from trying new things, taking advantage of new opportunities or pursuing new ventures. People are drawn to people who've got a positive attitude and a willingness to take calculated risks. However, if you're not confident in what you're selling and you're fearful of trying new things, it's going to hinder your success. So number five is the financial aspect of believing in whether or not it's going to work or not.
If you have negative beliefs around your product selling online or your marketing working, you're going to be less inclined to spend money responsibly on future marketing.
So number six is having a limited vision or ambition. If you have a negative attitude around your marketing working, it is going to discourage other people from working with you. If your ambition is hindered, it's going to stop you from advancing or scaling. And if you've got limited vision, your opportunity to reach a wider audience and to grow online is going to be Prevented from growing. So number seven is if you have a bad attitude about your marketing, getting results, you're going to lack in personal accountability. Therefore, when you make mistakes, you're going to pass that blame onto others, or you're going to avoid doing things and procrastinate. So number eight is around having a bad. Attitude towards money. If you have a bad attitude towards money, then when money related issues come up, like pricing or spending money on your marketing, it's going to make you feel icky and will not want you to take calculated risks. Now, number nine, the last one is around attracting similar mindsets. So what we know is like minded people tend to attract other like minded people. So if you have a negative belief and you don't believe that your marketing is going to work and everything that you do is pointless and, you, you're unable to grow online and online marketing doesn't work and putting that content out, isn't going to get clients.
And you're never going to get website traffic and technology's too hard to learn. And your website just doesn't convert and your email marketing just sucks. So there's no point in sending out another email. If you have that attitude, you're more than likely going to attract. Other people around you with the same attitude, and it is going to seep or sniff through into your online marketing.
And what I mean is, is that when you read other people's content, you can genuinely tell straight away, and I encourage you to go and do this. You can tell whether or not that person genuinely cares about the product that they're selling and have a positive attitude about what they are doing. And then there are some posts that if you read those posts, you can straight away sense that that person does not care about the product, does not care about the audience, does not care whether or not this works or doesn't work and , their passion does not sign through. So it's absolutely essential for business owners and their marketing managers to make sure that they address any negative mindsets or beliefs that they have around their marketing working. It would be important for you to improve your mindset and your beliefs to attract more positive people and more opportunities.
Also so that your passion can sign. Can shine through in your content marketing online by adopting a growth mindset and seeking self improvement and being open to new perspectives. Individuals can break free from the limitations of a negative money mindset or negative belief, and they can attract more prosperity and a more supportive network.
So if you're a business owner and you feel that you and your team are lacking in confidence, lacking in clarity, and lacking in self belief, however, you know you have a good product and you know that you can get better results from your marketing if you just work a little bit harder at, If you just work a little bit harder with your team development, this is often a good opportunity for you to get someone like a marketing strategist to support you, to help you to set up your marketing and help you manage it and put a little bit of positive inspiration back into your marketing.
