Speaker 4:You know?
Speaker 3:I agree. You should always be solution driven. So
Speaker 4:that's like your lawmakers can make all kinds of laws, and then they wonder why they're in such a conundrum. I said, you're in a conundrum because you can't make the old laws walk first. You can't make the old laws work. You know?

Speaker 3:October 21.
Speaker 5:So But the first snowfall that sticks is not gonna be until November 11.

Speaker 2:Yeah. Right?
Speaker 3:But you
Speaker 5:asked for the first snowfall.
Speaker 3:So we're gonna have some flakes.
Speaker 5:By the first time it's gonna snow and the snow is gonna fall, My guess is the October 21.

Speaker 5:fall. Yeah. The, you know, snowfall. So first.
Speaker 3:And and we'll we'll have some more
Speaker 5:the sheet sticks to, you know, to the ground with us, like, November 11.
Speaker 3:Perfect. Well, thank you, ma'am, for the call.
Speaker 5:Thank you, sir. Love the program. Thank you for all
Speaker 3:you do. Well, thank you for listening. Appreciate it.
Speaker 2:Thank you.
Speaker 5:Alright. Yes, sir. Have a good
Speaker 6:day. Bye
Speaker 3:bye. Alright. So we gotta come up with some some rules here now that you threw this out here, Jess. So is it gonna be this first snowfall that sticks or is it the first snowfall? I mean, it was 41 degrees or 38 in the back loop this morning.

Speaker 3:You want DVDs or do you want Blu rays?
Speaker 6:DVDs, not Blu rays. Okay.

Speaker 6:Yep. You too.
Speaker 3:Alright. Bye bye. We'll be right back to the phone lines.
Speaker 2:Alright. It's blowing up this Tuesday. Great.
Speaker 3:Good morning. You're on problem Corner, and you are live and on the air.
Speaker 5:Hi. Thank you for taking my call. I'm the woman who called yesterday about the New York Yankees where the squirrel made the home run. Well, that squirrel has his own card now. And I just I just bought this card last week from Cooper.
Speaker 5:And so it's a nice card.
Speaker 2:So it's a
Speaker 5:the first time in history where a squirrel or any animal like that has his own card.
Speaker 2:Oh, wow. So Well, Kenny's Kenny's the baseball guy.
Speaker 3:Can you tell me about this? A squirrel hit a home run?
Speaker 5:Yeah. The squirrel. When he came out there and he missed the home run, my sister said, well, he was showing him how to do it. So I'm looking at his card now. I have it in my hand, the New York Yankees.
Speaker 5:And so when I went to Cooper and and told him about it, he said a squirrel has his own card? He says, why? I said, well, it's the first time in baseball history. I said, you know, I mean, I'm, like, 30 years old, and I never heard of a a squirrel or any animal really having their own baseball card.
Speaker 3:Well, I I'm gonna have to do some research on this. I I can believe that an animal could do it, but I wanna know about how how a squirrel could hit a home run. So maybe maybe the squirrel was on the field when somebody hit a home run?
Speaker 5:I Well, according to what they said, he ran out on the field, and then he and then they show on the back of this card, they show him at the base because you can see that the baseball player, you could see his his tennis shoes that he has on, sneakers or whatever you might call them.
Speaker 3:So in August, a squirrel ran onto the field during the Yankees Red Sox game causing a brief delay. Was a famous there was a famous rally squirrel that ran across home plate during the 02/2011. I remember this, NLDS National League Divisional Series between the Cardinals and the Phillies.
Speaker 5:Right. But did that Sparrow have his own card?
Speaker 3:Well, I just I I I don't know. I gotta I gotta look at it. I'd I'd love to see it.
Speaker 2:But you're you're this car is not in your possession. Correct? Or you do have it? We do have it.
Speaker 5:Yes. I'm holding it in my hand as we speak.
Speaker 2:Oh, wow. Wow.
Speaker 3:Can you take a picture of
Speaker 5:at Cooper over there at the Mitten Hall Mall.
Speaker 2:Oh, nice.
Speaker 3:Can can you take a picture of that and send it to us?
Speaker 5:Take a picture? With your phone? Well, you know, I have a old Mexican phone.
Speaker 2:Oh, me and Kenny will find an image of his Yeah.
Speaker 3:We'll look for it.
Speaker 5:Like I said, if you go over there to Cooper, he can tell you about it.
Speaker 2:Okay. Maybe I gotta swing by Coop's collectibles and check out what he what he's got to
Speaker 5:say. And then ask about it.
Speaker 2:Definitely.
Speaker 3:Are are you a baseball fan, ma'am?
Speaker 5:Well, yeah, my dad used to love baseball. You know? And I like baseball. You know? I've been, you know, going to the baseball games, you know, as a kid because my dad really loved baseball.
Speaker 5:However, I just figured because of the squirrel, So the New York Yankees be my team because of the squirrel. Well,
Speaker 3:I I I did find some stuff. There was a Topps card from the New York Yankees, a black foil squirrel from 2025. So today, Justin, I don't I don't know if you know this, but I think today, and I've been telling this, should be a holiday because today is the first day of the baseball playoffs. And it is a wild card round and there's gonna be four games and it started at 09:00 this morning. It's gonna go on with the Dodgers will play, which is my team, tonight at 05:00.
Speaker 3:So baseball all day long. If you get a chance, I think all the games are gonna be in ESPN or ABC. So get a chance to watch some baseball. It's great. The first game started off with the Guardians, which is the old Cleveland Indians and one of the Cleveland Guardians against Detroit Tigers.
Speaker 3:And when I when I came up here, was two to one. Detroit just had scored, so it's it's gonna be a close game. And then the Cubs are also playing right now too. I didn't check the score of that before we got on the air. Okay.
Speaker 2:So Right on.
Speaker 3:Ma'am, thank you for your call.
Speaker 5:Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Have a wonderful day.
Speaker 3:You too.
Speaker 5:Bye bye.
Speaker 2:It's cool that you called in and shared us shared with us that pretty cool find. We did get an email at hi there, problem corner. I have a solution. Can you name this show the Good Vibe Show since you don't wanna hear the negative problems? Well, I know me and Kenny always like to have a lighter attitude with this program, but we're not trying to, like, cut off negative comments or anything that might be a little daunting or tough to talk about.
Speaker 2:So yeah, whatever it may be, guys are always welcome to call us, 586-1800 with whatever's on your mind, and it could be positive, kind of negative, whatever. I hate to use the word negative.
Speaker 3:I think, know, Justin and I have over and over said that this is the people's show, know, Juno's show, and I've been listening to this show forever and you get to call and voice your opinion on anything that you want to on Problem Corner. Right. So sometimes we were I know Friday we were being kind of upbeat and kind of had a more of a fun show. But you know, there's a lot of important stuff going on in the news right now out there. So remember, it's your call.
Speaker 3:It's your show and it's for you to call in.
Speaker 2:Alright. And we do got a call. Hi. Welcome to Problem Corner. You're live and on the air.
Speaker 6:Hi. I wanted to just mention about the Seahawks game this last Thursday.
Speaker 2:Yeah. Yeah. It it
Speaker 6:came in good the first half. And then after halftime, it just busted into KNY again, beating together.
Speaker 2:Oh, okay.
Speaker 3:It did do that.
Speaker 2:It did do that. Okay.
Speaker 6:And I noticed when it happened last Sunday and this last Thursday that both incidents happened after they had the national weather system alert for weather.
Speaker 5:Mhmm.
Speaker 6:Because that's when it started.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 6:I don't know if that would have anything to do with their cutting into the station to broadcast.
Speaker 2:It's possible. So I I have a couple of solutions to maybe look into that. So after the program today, I'll get with my engineer and we'll diagnose that as well as cause we got Seahawks going on and then we're also gonna be kicking on cracking hockey here soon. Yes, I wanna make sure all of our stuff is working efficiently. So I greatly appreciate you calling in with that issue and I will dive a little deeper and make sure that our broadcast for those games are a little tighter.
Speaker 3:And it's a called in because Justin's a guy to to you know, Justin will get to the bottom of this.
Speaker 6:Yeah. I just happened to notice that it happened right after the weather service got in.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 3:Great. Thank you for the call, sir.
Speaker 6:Alright. Bye.
Speaker 2:Bye. Alright. Thank you. And we do got another call.
Speaker 3:Alright. Good morning. You're on problem corner. You are live and on the air.
Speaker 5:Wow. I got through twice.
Speaker 3:Awesome.
Speaker 5:Anyways, I was listening to the email that you just read. Yep. You know, but there's always one person's negative is also another person's positive.
Speaker 3:Mhmm. Exactly.
Speaker 5:Right? And, you know, like, some people's garbage is other people's treasures. Yeah. You know, we're not all gonna see eye to eye. So whoever sent that email, you know, it is what they agree on, what they think is the most important through whatever the year, the day, or their month.
Speaker 5:Right?
Speaker 3:And I know Justin
Speaker 5:fairly important to everybody.
Speaker 3:And I know Justin and I encourage anybody to call with any topic. So thank you for
Speaker 5:your Sure. And I do you know, if you have a complaint, you know, please feel free to call to complain about something. But remember, not everybody agrees with you.
Speaker 3:Exactly.
Speaker 5:You know what I mean? Because, actually, you guys are all doing a great job. You know? Everybody isn't entitled to rough days, bad days, or maybe they didn't have enough coffee or whatever. There's not enough pep in the step.
Speaker 5:Right?
Speaker 2:Mhmm. Exactly.
Speaker 5:The whole thing is, you know, we're human. We're not perfect.
Speaker 3:That's true. Well, thank you, ma'am, for your call. I appreciate it.
Speaker 5:Oh, thank you so much. You for accepting.
Speaker 3:Of course. That's great. So that's great. You know, she makes a really great point there, and and I think it's great when you say solutions or, you know, a really good analogy, you know, one man's trash could be another man's treasure.
Speaker 2:Yeah. It's a it's perspective. Exactly. So we do got another call. Let's get him on.
Speaker 2:Good
Speaker 3:morning. You're on problem corner. You are live and on the air.
Speaker 5:Oh, I'm live?
Speaker 3:You are. You're on the air with Justin and Kenny.
Speaker 5:Oh my gosh. Okay. I've got a phone that I found on Glacier Highway by Pavet Health and Fitness Uh-huh. Yesterday about 05:45. If they somebody lost their phone, they can call me at (907) 635-0429.
Speaker 3:Alright. What kind of phone is it? Do you know?
Speaker 5:The battery went dead. Uh-oh. Somebody's texting it.
Speaker 2:So repeat your number real quick for me. I think I had messed up the last four numbers.
Speaker 3:907635.
Speaker 5:350429.
Speaker 2:Okay. I did get it correctly. Perfect. Is there a case on the phone? Like No.
Speaker 2:No case. Okay.
Speaker 5:Just the phone by itself, and on the back of the phone, it has love.
Speaker 2:Love. Love. Like a sticker that says love on it. Yep. Okay.
Speaker 3:That's great. Well, thank you for calling, sir. It's we appreciate that. You know, I I I can't express my gratitude for anybody that calls in that has some kind of lost and found out there. Thanks again, sir.
Speaker 3:Hopefully, we'll get someone to get their phone. We got another call, Justin. We'll go right to the phones.
Speaker 6:Alright.
Speaker 2:Hi. Welcome to problem corner. You're live and on the air.
Speaker 5:My god. I can't believe you guys answered.
Speaker 3:Well, thanks for calling.
Speaker 5:Phone calls this morning.
Speaker 3:Yeah. We it's it's been a good morning.
Speaker 5:Yeah. It has. But I have a question.
Speaker 2:Oh.
Speaker 5:I'm the fried bread gal.
Speaker 3:Oh, hi, Rhonda.
Speaker 5:Hi, Rhonda. Hi. I didn't recognize you. I'm not in a very good mood. I actually really wanna rage out.
Speaker 5:But I have several different questions. One is I confronted corporate, and I also contacted Brad down at IGA. He said we're not gonna be doing fried bread no more. But he stood there in front of me like he was horrified. And I was I told him about the harassment and he said he would take care of it.
Speaker 5:So hopefully that will be squashed.
Speaker 2:Oh, good.
Speaker 5:The other thing that I have is I got an email this morning from the state because I'm trying to renew my professional license as a hairdresser. I already had paid, and it went to some wrong office. I have no idea what office it went to, but they asked for a military document from me. I did go through, I don't know what you call it, the hierarchy of the state, and I filed my appeal. I said I need my reimbursement or you need to you need to renew my professional license.
Speaker 5:And they're not doing it.
Speaker 3:Is is there any reason? Are they giving you any kind of reason or something? I mean
Speaker 5:It was nonrefundable and non that's all I got from that email. I I can send it. I can make it public.
Speaker 3:Is there is there a reason why they're they're not renewing your your, your professional license?
Speaker 5:It was under they thought I was part of the military. I'm not part of the military.
Speaker 3:But you have you've gone to school and everything for for cosmetology.
Speaker 5:To school for cosmetology. I did over three thousand hours. I'm a Paul Mitchell cosmetologist. I never had to go through this before, and I've done this for over twenty years.
Speaker 3:I I don't know.
Speaker 2:That is definitely a tough one. Yeah. I I Like, honestly, being a cosmetologist or
Speaker 5:No. You you know, the message that you get from the state is we answer phone calls and return on Mondays and Wednesdays. It's faster if you reach us through email. So I emailed them, but I also left them a voice mail. They're shorthanded.
Speaker 5:We're shorthanded
Speaker 7:Right.
Speaker 5:In our city, state, and government, and nothing can be done about it. You you can stand in front of somebody blue in your face and not get no results, and it's just very frustrating. They're taking food out of my table, and I've got three fur babies to take care of.
Speaker 2:So a little earlier, you said it got something got sent to a wrong address?
Speaker 5:A wrong. Oh, I don't even know. I tried to do this through my phone. It's a new phone. I it went to the wrong department where it required military documents.
Speaker 5:And I'm like, how's I've never had to go through this before. You try to navigate through the statewide system
Speaker 3:Mhmm.
Speaker 5:And it's just hard.
Speaker 2:Have you thought about talking with other beauty salons here in town as far as the processes that they had to go through to get their license renewed as far as in the state of Alaska?
Speaker 3:No. Rhonda, have you have you let your license lapse? Was that was that part of the problem?
Speaker 5:It was just a lapse. It was only by a few days.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 5:And I went up there and I paid it. I paid over a $100 to get my license reinstated. I did it in person, and now they're not saying they're refunding my money or not, and they're not reinstating my professional license.
Speaker 3:I I I I'm just I right now, I mean, I just don't know what to say. I don't know too much about that. I know a little bit about medical licenses and and nursing licenses, but I don't know anything about that particular field. Know, I can you go to the state office, to the actual permitting place and and talk to somebody, talk to a supervisor, something and figure
Speaker 5:out what the solution
Speaker 3:there is. I mean, there's got I've already
Speaker 5:went there in person, and I tried to talk to the cosmetologist. She's the board of directors there, and she gave me an email saying, I'm not entitled to a reimbursement, and they won't apply that $100 that I paid to recertify. I've never had this problem before. They they're not gonna reapply that $100 towards my professional license, and that keeps food on my table.
Speaker 3:So, Justin, why don't you why don't you give us your phone number, and we're gonna, put your phone number out there, and we're gonna see if some of the listeners out here could have a solution for you, Rhonda, because I Justin and I are both kinda looking at each other going, I I I don't know what to say. I mean, I'm kind of stumped by this. I I
Speaker 5:I'm stumped by it too. That's why somebody's gotta know something about that because and also just to let you all know, we're all shorthanded, city, state, and federal. They're all I got my hand in all of that, and they're all shorthanded. They don't have answers for us right away.
Speaker 3:We do know that. We do know that. Alright, Rhonda. Well, give us your phone number.
Speaker 5:(907) 209-0034.
Speaker 3:Alright. We'll get that on the ear. Rhonda, thank you for your call, we'll talk to you soon. I hope everything gets better for you.
Speaker 5:Thanks. Thanks. Bye.
Speaker 2:Bye bye.
Speaker 3:So I guess if anybody has any kind of solutions that could help Rhonda, give
Speaker 5:her
Speaker 3:a shout. I I don't really know where to go from there. Do you know Justin?
Speaker 2:I do not, but I know of some other salons and people that work with hair and beauty salons here in town. So maybe I could send some feelers out there and maybe we could figure out some sort of If someone's got a solution, feel free to shoot us an email over KINY Radio dot com, and we'll forward that off to Rhonda to give her some answers. So you don't have give us a call. You could shoot us an email so we have it
Speaker 3:all there in
Speaker 2:text, and we could pass it on. We do have to hit our commercial break real quick. So I do see we have a couple calls. Either hang on or call us back here in a few minutes, and we'll be back with more problem corner on KINY. You're listening

Speaker 2:And welcome back to problem corner here on KINY. It is Tuesday with me, Justin Miller.
Speaker 3:And Kenny Solomon Gross.
Speaker 2:And we've had quite the quite the amount of calls this morning.
Speaker 3:The show's flying by this morning.
Speaker 2:It is flying by, and you know what that means. It's definitely full show, and it seems like we're just bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
Speaker 3:Diverse subjects and stuff like that. We got a phone with
Speaker 6:We do.
Speaker 3:We got a couple calls. We'll go right to the phones, and then we'll recap what we talked about already. Alright. Good morning. You're on problem corner.
Speaker 3:You are live and on the air.
Speaker 4:Hello from Utah, Carlos.
Speaker 2:How's it going?
Speaker 5:Hey. I was a broadcaster for Seahawks game. When is the overlap or something else? Wasn't that called a double track back in the day?
Speaker 2:Yes. It would be back in the day, but that that issue is a an equipment thing where certain channels get flipped on, but then the equipment does not shut off the other channels, so then we get that bleed going on from the station. So, yeah, that is something on my list to get squared away and fixed and make sure those signals do not overlap during those games anymore.
Speaker 5:Awesome. Thanks for all that you do, guys. We appreciate your program, and go Denver Broncos, baby.
Speaker 15:Okay. Thank you. Bye bye.
Speaker 2:Alright. Have a good one, mister.
Speaker 3:I'm a diehard sea sea hawks fan, so that kinda hurts a little bit when someone says go Denver Broncos.
Speaker 2:Oh, okay.
Speaker 3:It it really hurt when Russell Wilson went there too, so I'm glad he's gone.
Speaker 2:Yeah. We do got another call. Hi. Welcome to Problem Corner. You're live and on the air.
Speaker 5:Hello. I mean, what is this? Three times I'm getting through now?
Speaker 2:I guess so. Yeah.
Speaker 5:But for the lady who was talking about her certification and then what was it? The cosmetology? Yes. So Alaska Legal Services helps with so many things. It's just unbelievable.
Speaker 5:And and pretty much most of the stuff they do, it's free service.
Speaker 2:Oh, wow.
Speaker 3:That's that's a great solution, ma'am. That's a great solution. So
Speaker 5:And there was just something I was thinking of off the top of my head, but also Department of Labor. Mhmm. You can ask Department of Labor about any kinds of questions. So she put in that many hours, right, to get her notification and whatever. And it's a hold up through the state or whatever for her to get her license, Department of Labor, because they should have that stuff on some kind of record.
Speaker 2:Okay. So, Rhonda, if you're still listening, I to suggestions,
Speaker 5:and I don't know if any of those are correct, but those were just the few things that were at the top
Speaker 6:of my head.
Speaker 3:I think they're great. Thank you very much for your call, ma'am, for for calling us back and listening to our show.
Speaker 5:Oh, well, thank you for the show.
Speaker 3:Thank you. And like Justin was about to say, Rhonda, if you have if you're listening, call was
Speaker 2:was Alaska Legal Services or checking with Department of Labor, but I know she was having some issues trying to get ahold of folks Yeah. In certain city buildings.
Speaker 3:But but I do I do think the Alaska Legal Services, it's a great great call. So thank you, man, for your call.
Speaker 4:Alright.
Speaker 2:And we do got another call.
Speaker 3:Good morning. You're on problem corner. You are live and on the air.
Speaker 7:Well, thank you. Hey. Good morning. I just like first of all, start the call with the fact that I really appreciate it with the city assembly and the members that are serving on the assembly, and they have a thankless job seems like and spend a lot of hours for the community. And I just wanna start off by saying I appreciate that.
Speaker 7:Last evening, I walked via Zoom call the committee of whole, of which Gold Bell did a presentation on Anska land on West Juneau development deep seaport for the they were thinking dreaming big as Catherine said, Eldamar, Eric Persson. And they're to proceed, they let the cat out the bag last night, roll it up through development of the deep sea port on West Douglas, and tourism related. And they just thought that they did a very good presentation, and McHugh, Catherine, both. And I'm proud to say that I'm a Gold Belt shareholder, and I appreciate their presentation last night in the stage one, two, three developments of West Douglas and just calling to say I support that and thankful that I had the same interaction relative to the tram. I got to speak in front of the assembly.
Speaker 7:I was asked by the CEO, Joe Beetle, at the time to make a presentation in favor of development of the tram many years ago. And I think that this is right up to that level again of the big dreams that Gold Belt has and just throwing that out there that that is Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act in 1971, ANCSA WAN, twelve district regions for profit, Alaska Native Region Corps. And so charge on with your rights as far as Alaska indigenous people to for profit develop your land and go for it. Thank you.
Speaker 3:Thank you for your call. So that's great. I I didn't have a chance to watch the assembly of the whole committee of whole last night, but, you know, it's great that I'll I'll probably go back and watch that tomorrow. Mhmm. I I watch it on YouTube and be able to watch McKee's presentation and all of Goldbelt's presentation.
Speaker 3:I know that they've been putting a lot of time in putting the deep water port down and trying to get a couple of cruise ships over there. You and I chatted a little bit about this subject before we came on the air today, really trying to help out maybe to bottleneck downtown, maybe not eliminating as many passengers downtown, but still being able to cut it down. And I know that there's going to have to be some other concessions that are going have to be done. We're going to have to have a second crossing if we're going be able to do something like that. So a lot on the horizon for Juno.
Speaker 2:Oh, for sure. And yeah, that project is just it's not just beginning, but it happening It's So and we do got a couple calls. Wow. It's been blowing up today. It's been a month.
Speaker 3:Good morning. You're on problem corner. You're live and on the air.
Speaker 4:Hey. Would you were one of the listeners that I know that you're not an emergency for the police? I was looking for lost and found actually. I Somebody turned into a wallet or something like that.
Speaker 3:I do have JPT's phone number if you'd like that.
Speaker 4:Okay. That'd be cool.
Speaker 3:It is (907) 586-0600.
Speaker 4:0600. Okay. Thank you very much.
Speaker 3:Thank you. Thanks for the
Speaker 5:call. Okay.
Speaker 3:Go right back to the phones.
Speaker 2:Hi. Welcome to Problem Corner. You're live and on the air.
Speaker 6:Yeah. Hello. I still have that Hanger nine Cub. It's electric. It's designed for a fifteen fifteen cc gas motor, but it's electric.
Speaker 2:Oh, okay. That's a little, like, motorbike? I'm not familiar with it. No.
Speaker 6:It's a air radio control plane.
Speaker 2:Oh, right.
Speaker 3:Yeah. RC RC plane.
Speaker 6:Yeah. It's an RC plane electric 15 cc. It's about 86 inch wingspan.
Speaker 3:Oh, wow. Nice size. How much are you asking for that?
Speaker 6:I am willing to trade or sell it. I'll sell it for about $3.50. And if somebody has a, like, a helicopter
Speaker 3:Okay.
Speaker 6:Or a larger drone than a helicopter, that'd be great. My number is area code (907) 723-8860.
Speaker 3:8860. Perfect. Thank you, sir, for the call. We'll try to get this on the air for you.
Speaker 5:Okay. Thank you.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
Speaker 2:Of course.
Speaker 6:Have a good one.
Speaker 3:So he's got
Speaker 2:Hanger nine cup Cup. RC plane, 15 cc, 86 inch wingspan. That's a good size RC plane. Asking $3.50 or willing to trade for a drone or a helicopter. So if you're a hobbyist just like him or you got anything like that laying around, give him a call at (907) 723-8860.
Speaker 2:And we do got a call. Let's get him on.
Speaker 3:Good morning. You're live in on the air on problem corner.
Speaker 5:Good morning.
Speaker 3:Good morning.
Speaker 5:Well, I love the fact that so many people are calling in and people who are reaching out when, you know, they have questions, you know, to figure out answers.
Speaker 4:Mhmm.
Speaker 5:But my question is, did anybody else hear your guys' first question about the first snowfall?
Speaker 3:Yes. We did have we
Speaker 9:had one person.
Speaker 5:Only one who's gonna make the guest today.
Speaker 3:You so far, you're the only one you are. We've had Alright.
Speaker 5:Well, I thought I'd sure to do that. Back out there. You know? Maybe some people tuned in and raised, or they don't wanna put out the guest, but thank you for your show.
Speaker 2:Of course. You. Thanks for calling.
Speaker 3:I'll be back out here with you on Friday, Justin.
Speaker 2:So we'll keep that going on Friday. So now I believe that was Eleanor with that first guess of this first snowfall happening. She her her prediction was the first dusting down here in the valley would be October 21, but the actual first snowfall that will be stuck and like hanging out November 11. So if you're with those dates, we could add you on to that. Or if you got different dates, we could add you on.
Speaker 2:I'll start compiling a list after today's program and see.
Speaker 3:And they can also email us too. Right?
Speaker 2:They can email us. Just go to kinyradio.com and submit that. No new emails so far, except for one email, which I had some trouble trying to decipher. Maybe a listener can do it for me, but they wanna keep the good vibes going. I am known as Golden Arches and I challenge the old guy to a thumb wrestling match down by the whale.
Speaker 2:I might have missed an episode of who the old guy is.
Speaker 3:I'm trying to wonder, I mean, I'm a couple years older than you here.
Speaker 2:I don't think you're the old guy That's good, that's good.
Speaker 3:I just was wondering if that So let's go to this phone call and then we'll do a recap on like, we talked about what we've got. Alright.
Speaker 2:Sounds good. Hi. Welcome to Problem Corner. You're live and on the air.
Speaker 5:Okay. So I have to get in on this on this first snowfall. Okay. Okay. The question I have to ask you guys is if you're walking outside and you see yellow and black caterpillars
Speaker 2:Oh, yeah. The woolly bear or the woolly bear whatever
Speaker 5:I know. They scare the heck out of me. Yeah. I I literally I literally tried to jump into my husband's arms because I was there were so many of them. You know that that's gonna be a cold winter.
Speaker 2:Mhmm.
Speaker 5:And it's gonna be a hard, fast winter. I haven't seen any of those. So I believe that our first snowfall is going to happen before making bets. And you guys better ante up to the pot because we got three bets now. It's gonna be before October, before Halloween.
Speaker 2:Anytime before Halloween.
Speaker 3:Well, I that's my guess too. It's always gonna snow.
Speaker 5:And we already had our snow dusting up in the mountains here in Alaska, and it happens out in the valley, and then it comes towards town into Douglas. We already had our first dusting. Yep. Winter's coming. Be prepared.
Speaker 5:Alright.
Speaker 3:Well, thank you for your call, and we'll get you down there. We got your we got your your Right.
Speaker 5:It's $20. I'm holding you guys to it. Actually, we're giving Otherwise, you're not gonna get your pie bread.
Speaker 3:We figured that.
Speaker 5:You, Rhonda. Alright. Alright. Bye.
Speaker 2:Alright. Bye bye.
Speaker 3:So you gotta give us a date, Rhonda. You gotta call us back with the date tomorrow Friday.
Speaker 2:Or Or tomorrow. I'll be on the program tomorrow, so you could call in with that date tomorrow.
Speaker 3:With a date tomorrow. So yeah, gotta give us a date. So we got we're gonna go over a quick recap on what we got calls today. Got a lot of some lost and found stuff.
Speaker 2:We had lots of calls today. So our first call, of course, was our good friend, the movie guy, with his DVDs, VHSs, and a bunch of other items. It's stuff. I know he's got a bike and some car accessories mixed in there. The number to call for him is (907) 957-1673.
Speaker 2:And then we had that other call with the gentleman looking for DVDs of the complete Walking Dead series and Yellowstone series. I know Yellowstone is very popular. I kinda slid off the Walking Dead theme. But if you have the Walking Dead's complete series or Yellowstone in DVD, give them a call at (907) 419-2312. And then we had a gentleman looking for some oars for a 16 or a six foot rowboat.
Speaker 2:If you got some oars sitting around that would possibly work for him, give him a call at (907) 723-4332. And then we had the lost phone over by Pavits yesterday evening. It's got a sticker that says love on the back. So if you know that phone and you lost your phone around that area, give them a call at (907) 635-0429. And then, also, we had the Hanger nine Cub RC plane 15 cc's with 86 inch wings.
Speaker 2:Ask him three fifty for that or he's willing to trade for a hexcopter or possibly a drone. If you got any of if you're willing to buy or trade, give him a call at (907) 723-8860, and I will find some more ants. I believe I got some messages about the possible Rhonda situation, so I'll compile that up after the program today because I it's too much multitasking for me right now to try to look through my phone and get the answers for that. But if folks in the community have answers, feel free to shoot us an email or anything like that. Of course, Rhonda, we had a caller call in with maybe reaching out to AK Legal Services or reaching out to the Department of Labor.
Speaker 2:We do got one more call. Should we try squeaking in before the end the program?
Speaker 3:Let's squeak it in real quickly.
Speaker 2:Alright.
Speaker 3:Good morning. You're on Proppant Corner. You are live and on the air.
Speaker 5:Knock knock.
Speaker 4:What's that?
Speaker 15:Knock knock.
Speaker 2:Knock knock. Who's there?
Speaker 3:Who's there?
Speaker 4:Ice cream.
Speaker 5:Ice
Speaker 3:cream who?
Speaker 4:Ice cream when too many
Speaker 15:people call with boring stuff. No. Hey. A little while back, you guys had this guy that called in looking for broken or just stuff to repair electronics or something like that. You guys had this guy a little while back.
Speaker 15:He usually called problem corner.
Speaker 3:Not today. Not today. Right?
Speaker 2:No. I haven't heard Today.
Speaker 5:Yeah. Well, I'm looking
Speaker 15:for this guy. I have a Ryobi lawnmower this guy gave to me. He bought it, and it was working. But he was gonna sell it to me, but he tried starting it, and we couldn't figure it out. So I'm gonna give it away if that guy is listening.
Speaker 15:If anybody wants to, you know, figure it out and mow their snow or something like that or you know, I'm just trying to get
Speaker 4:rid of stuff.
Speaker 2:Stuff. Well, you know, Juno, there's a bunch of people that are, like, wrenching on things here in town and, like, put fixing and putting things back together, so I'm sure someone will take that off your hands.
Speaker 3:A mower.
Speaker 15:I it's not that old. It's a Ryobi. It's it's pretty cold. You know, I just can't figure it out, and I haven't even tried to figure it out. But, anyway, my number is (907) 209-1840.
Speaker 2:209. +1 840. Thank
Speaker 3:you.
Speaker 2:Alright. Always good to hear from you, mister. So he's got Ryobi lawn mower that has some issues. It won't kick over. It won't start.
Speaker 2:So if you're willing to either help him get started or take it off his hands, give him a call at (907) 209-1840.
Speaker 3:That's great. Well, Justin, another successful show,
Speaker 2:It's been a full show today, that's for sure. Lots of different calls. Yeah. I'll try to echo off some of this stuff tomorrow during the program. And
Speaker 3:So I just wanna wish everybody out there a great Tuesday and go watch some baseball. The Tigers did win the first game against the Guardians, so they won two to one, and the Cubs are playing right now.
Speaker 2:Speaking of sports announcements, I thanks for the reminder. The Crimson Bears football team is on the road this weekend, but we will sadly not be able to broadcast it. We're trying to get some announcers to announce it for us, but everyone seemed to be unavailable for this weekend to be doing that. So sadly, KNY would not be carrying the football game this coming weekend.
Speaker 3:But too bad.
Speaker 2:I know there's always other avenues, so check out high school football. I know NFHS, which is a big organization within high school sports, usually you could hop on there and get a livestream on it. So maybe you could but you do have to pay for that. I've known I have tried to do that before. You have to pay for the livestream, so you could subscribe for a season or whatnot, and you could, like, tune in whenever you want.
Speaker 2:So if you guys wanna check out the semifinals for high school football, that's happening this weekend.
Speaker 3:Yeah. Juno Douglas had played their last home game. Correct?
Speaker 2:Yep. That was the list last weekend. And I don't have the score in front of me. So I don't know. I can't remember if they won or not, but cheer on our Crimson Bears this weekend.
Speaker 2:And as we're gearing gearing closer to basketball season, I'm looking forward to the Capital City Classic kicking off September or December and all that awesome sport times.
Speaker 3:Yeah. And Mayor said she's gonna play basketball with me.
Speaker 2:Oh, good.
Speaker 3:Just just saying.
Speaker 2:I might even show up with my phone and film it.
Speaker 3:Well, thank you everybody. We'll see you on Friday on Problem Corner. Me, Kenny Solomon Gross.
Speaker 2:And me, Justin Miller. You guys have a great rest of your Tuesday, and me and Kenny are out of here.
