Shalom to all and welcome. Today, we delve into the wisdom of the Torah, specifically, the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 16, Verse 9: "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."
In the hustle and bustle of life, we often find ourselves striving to control every aspect of our journey. We make plans, set goals, and chart our course. However, the wisdom of Solomon reminds us that while we may set our intentions, it is ultimately the Divine that guides our steps.
What does this mean for us in our daily lives? It's an invitation to open ourselves to the unexpected, to embrace the uncertain. We're encouraged to make our plans, indeed, but also to remain flexible, to allow the Divine to guide our steps. It is an acceptance of the fact that, despite our best efforts, some things are simply beyond our control.
This isn't a suggestion to abandon our plans or to relinquish our responsibility. Rather, it is an encouragement to balance our effort with faith, our planning with trust. It's about creating space within our lives for the Divine to work, to guide us, to open doors we never even knew existed.
So, as we navigate through our day, let's remember: We plan, we strive, but ultimately, it is the Lord who guides our steps.
Thank you for joining me today. May your day be filled with wisdom, understanding, and peace. Shalom.
