Full show transcript:

There was a teenager in Kansas City. She went on a roller coaster at an amusement park last month. Her seatbelt came undone mid-ride.

That's a scary situation. A couple in the next row up heard her scream and then they both tried to see. It says they were in the... You okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. Since they were in the next row up, but that they held her down until the ride ended. Oh, wow. They didn't know how they did that if they were in the row up from her.

Yeah, I don't know. They say that she was close to being thrown out every time they went over a hill or going around a big turn. They got one of those fun photo parks at the end of the ride and it did not look like a fun experience. Yeah, I bet not.

I want to see if there's a picture. The park said they checked everything out and made sure the coaster was safe before a resuming ride later that day. Would you ride that ride if you knew that there was a faulty seatbelt? Um... Hmm. It's a little bit terrifying.

Okay, I just looked at the picture that they took. The couple in front of her are desperately reaching over their seats to try and hold her down and the girl next to her is also trying to hold her down. It looks a little bit terrifying.

She looks incredibly frightened. Yeah. Yeah. I wonder if that's one of those rides. It's a good thing it's not one of those rides that goes upside down. Yeah, that would be problematic. And it might be.

I don't know. I mean, what a scary thing. I know it looks intense. I mean, yeah, I would be leaving the park. I would have a hard time...

Staying. I would have a hard time getting on other rides. I'd have a hard time going back. It would be a long time between roller coaster experiences for me. I feel like there's just a lot of roller coaster mishaps in the last couple of years.

Like maybe protocol isn't being followed as closely as it used to. It just seems like a lot of mistakes are being had. It's scary.

Yeah, that's a scary situation. The roller coaster is called Mamba and then it says, World's of Fun. Oh yeah.

She looked like she was having World's of Fun. Scary. All right. Should we start the show? Yeah, let's do. Hey. Hey. What do you know? What I know is that sometimes, you know how I like to take a bite of food before I'm about to talk to you?

Did that happen? No, but I feel like every time we're about to talk on the radio here, I always feel like I have to do something else. What were you getting ready to do? I knew that we were coming up to talk. We had like 10 seconds and I turned around in my chair and I was like, oh, I'll do this thing over here. Yeah.

Yeah, no. And then I went, what are you doing? You can turn around and face the mic. Yeah, right now we're doing this part. Correct. Yeah. What were you just going to start getting your mirror out and all that stuff? Yep. Yeah.

Well, it's not the time for that. I thought it was. Yeah. I know there's times where you'll multitask.

As you called it yesterday, making the most of your time. Where, you know, I think what happens is, look, we've been together a long time and we're comfortable talking to one another. We chat often. Yeah. And so I think what there is here is like a comfort level where it's, you're like, I'm just a home. Yeah, we're just hanging out. We're just hanging out, having a conversation.

So I can walk down the hall while you're still talking to me. Right. But you forget that what we're doing here is a show. Correct.

And that we have to have microphones between us to pick up the conversation. Yep. And that's an important part. Right. I know that now.

Yeah. That's where the headphones help. And I know you don't wear them all the time, but I think that helps put you in the right mind frame.

I agree it does. I'm like, oh, I'm doing a thing. Sometimes I can't, it hurts my head to have them talking in my brain. Interesting.

I don't have that, but I've been wearing headphones every day for 25,000 years. It feels like. So that's extreme. It is extreme.

It's a, what's the word? Exaggeration. It's an exaggeration. It's early.

That's what it is. But anyway, no, I'm glad that we get to just kind of hang out and have our conversation. I think that's nice. Same. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like it has value.

I think the time spent together is important. Time out. Here's what else I know because I wore a sweater this morning and I'm currently rolling up the sleeves because. You're hot. I'm overheating everywhere I go. Yeah.

Hot flashes. It has to be. It has to be. I feel like I'm so hot everywhere. I turned down the heat this morning.

It was 74 degrees in here. In here. Yes.

Okay. I can't handle. It's too hot. That's hot. I don't know why it's 74 in here.

I know. That's way too hot. I don't know why. What was the thermostat said at? 74.

It was set at 74 for heat? Yes. No way. Yes.

Who did that? I don't know. Some lizard?

I guess. We got a lizard in here? Probably some petite little 30 year old girl woman who's, it's cold.

And a pair of menopause over here is like. It's Victor. It was Victor, wasn't it? I don't know.

Is he the 30 year old petite woman? I can't handle. It's too hot.

Yeah. I don't understand how it got 74. There's no way. There's two numbers on there. There's a heat and a cool. Okay.

And as you turn the heat down. Yes. I noticed that.

The cool adjusts as well. Yeah. So the top one said 67. The bottom one said 74.

I don't know which one's which one. And then when I turned down to 74. The top one went down too. And then I went, oh no. Is that going to make something else cold?

I think it's going to make this room like 50 is what's going to happen. Fine. All right. Well, we'll get the thermostat sorted out so that you can be comfortable. How about you?

Hot flashes. How about some good news? What do you say? Let's hear it.

All right. Two years ago, Larissa Gonzalez was working at an intensive care unit. She was a nurse in an ICU when she was hospitalized herself for the premature birth of her son Caleb. The birth was bumpy and Larissa spent 31 quote grueling days in the NICU, the neonatal intensive care unit. Before the ordeal, she insisted that she couldn't work with babies. Her attitude at the time was they're too small.

There's no way. And the time she spent in the NICU with Caleb changed all of that. Nurses, doctors, and other staff in the NICU helped support her as Caleb got stronger and healthier. And as Larissa explained, every, that's funny. Larissa explained it all.

Oh, nice. Like Carissa. Yeah, that's Larissa. Yeah, this is Larissa. Anyway, as Larissa explained, every single day that I went, you could just tell the people who were there wanted me and my baby to have the best experience possible.

Of course they do. That care and that experience inspired her to move down the hall from her old department and join the neonatal group full time. Earlier in the year, she started attending graduate school to become a neonatal nurse practitioner, juggling her classes while chasing two year old Caleb around nonstop. She said, I want to be the one helping these families and helping these babies get their next step.

Just give them the start that they need. And that's awesome. Oh, sweet.

Yeah. And she completely changed her perspective, which is really special. So now she's getting ready to join the NICU, which is so cool. Good luck on your journey. I know.

It's good news. Tom Brady, you know him. The goat. Is he? That's his nickname. I know that's his nickname, but.

Okay. Is he? Look, I would argue that in order to be the greatest of all time and I. You had to cheat? No.

Because he cheated. Listen to me. I'm not getting into all that. Okay.

Sorry. What I'm saying is you've got to be the greatest on the field and off the field. And I don't think the greatest of all time should be given out lightly. Right. I agree with that.

I think based on his performance on field, one of the greatest quarterbacks off field, I'd question that determination. Really? Yeah. What makes you say that? I just don't feel like he's got goat behavior off the field.

Interesting. It takes a lot of integrity to be the goat. And I just don't think that, I don't think that there's off field ethics. I agree with that to give him the title. I agree with you. You know what I'm saying? Right. Too much scandal.

And something about him just bugs me. Okay. I don't know. All right.

I don't know. So look at like Michael Jordan, right? Greatest of all time in basketball. Great on court.

More than the Bron James. Great on court. Yeah. Great off court. Right.

Where's the scandal? Right. Right. I would say the same about Shaq. Shaq is so amazing. Right? He has so many good things. Right. I love Shaq. He's the best.

Every day there's like a new good story about Shaq. That's what I'm saying. Okay. I think you got, you got better candidates for goat out there. Agreed.

That's all I'm saying. Here's a story about Tom Brady that kind of rubbed me the wrong way this morning. Okay. Here we go. He had a dog that died in 2023 named Lua.

Named what? Lua. Okay. Lua. I think you said a Lua. He has a new dog, Junie.

Okay. They share the same DNA, but not because Junie is Lua's child. She's her clone. He cloned his dog. That's right. He worked with a company called Colossal Biosync.

There's a lot of S's. Colossal Biosync? Colossal Biosciences. Uh-huh. And he had Lua cloned. Really? He's not just a client. He's an investor.

Oh. We'll clone your dog so that you can talk about how great our dog cloning is. They cloned his dog. They cloned his dog. He said, I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family.

A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their noninvasive cloning technology. Whatever that means. Right. They threw a simple blood draw of our family's elderly dog before she passed.

I'm excited how this technology can help both families losing their beloved pets while helping save endangered species. All right. And I went, now I just dislike you even more. That's weird. And doesn't help the shelter populations at all. Just go rescue a new dog.

Right. Why are you going to clone? I went Tom Brady.

Now, come on. That's a weird thing. That's a weird money rich people thing.

Agreed. That's strange. Look, I get it.

Like we had a dog before Luna. Listen, I've seen multi-plicity. I know how this works. Okay, sure.

Okay, I guess I'm good. It's Pepsi, Steve. All that stuff. I know. So, we had Stella before now when we have Luna.

Yeah. And it would be nice to have Stella. But it's strange.

It's not going to be her, is it? Well, no, because the memories aren't there. The training isn't there. And what I know from cloning movies, it's just going to be a little bit off. Right. And I go, this isn't the same. Yeah.

And also, that dog died. So, maybe find a new one. Yeah. That's really a rich people weird thing.

That's a weird rich people thing. Cloning, look, I like the technology for endangered species for sure. I'm not big on the clone your pet thing. I'm not, I don't like it either. It kind of, it freaks me out a little bit. Yeah. I'm not into that.

Tom Brady. Yeah. Okay.

But endangered species like to keep stuff alive. Yeah. But I don't know about that.

But here's the thing. They're going to bring back the woolly mammoth and all that. I'm not extinct, endangered. So, if you have one white rhino, for example, and you can produce, you know, a handful of additional rhino that are from different lines or whatever, then you could potentially repopulate that species. That could be beneficial, I would think.

But bringing back your own domesticated pet feels luxury and icky. Josh, they made the world to him and his family. I get it. I understand. I've lost a pet. You've lost a pet.

We've lost a pet. I understand. I get it. It's weird.

It's hard, but that's not the solution to that. We are Tom Brady. That's a strange thing. Quit it. Quit it with your Tom Brady-ness. Quit it. You know how when we were young adults and we would go to the grocery store and we would see somebody pull out their checkbook to pay.

Okay. And we would be like, I'm so old. I gotta wait for somebody to write a check. That's an old person thing to do. Okay. Checkbooks were for old people when you and I were in our 20s. Sure.

Now, the old person thing to do is to use cash. According to who? Gen Z. Okay, well, get over yourselves. Paying with cash, they say, makes you seem cringe or out of touch.

It's cringe to pay with cash. No way. I think that's baller. You pull out a money clip and you're like, I got this. And you start licking your bills? Yeah. You know. Do I? No, I don't. But I've never done that. Yeah, that's a thing.

What I know is that the few times that I have paid with cash, the last time it happened, the young person behind the counter sat for a while while he was trying to count change and said, it's fine. Take your time. I'll wait. Not a big deal. And then handed me, just handed me the wad of cash and said, I think that's right. Oh, no.

It wasn't. Well, we're going to work it out together now, my guy. And that's fine. Look, a lot of stuff is tapped to pay now. And I know it's convenient and it's fast and it's easy and not everybody's carrying cash. I paid cash yesterday. I felt good about it.

You felt baller, as you said. Because we got the dog a haircut and I went and paid and she's like, it's $35. And I planned on leaving a tip and everything. And I had two twenties and I went, there you go. I'm out.

I'm done. Like this is, it was easy. It's easy to use your card too.

But, but I literally handed it and then I was like, have a great day. I didn't have to wait for a machine to process anything. I didn't have to put in a pin. I didn't have to type anything.

I didn't have to select the tip amount. I literally went and then walked out. That was awesome. And I felt big. I felt big cash boss.

Oh, did you? Big cash boss. With your two twenties. Laying down, laying down two twenties. You're two Andrew Jackson's. You're like, ooh.

That's right. And then you did like a peace sign when you were leaving. Yeah, I was like, I'm out.

Slammed your Andrew Jackson's down and you were like, peace. I'm taking my dog. We out. Yeah. Whoa. I know. Big deal. Go to lunch with somebody that you work with and they go to pay and you're like, no, no. I got this. And you throw down twenties. Watch out.

They're going to be like, whoa. It's a status thing. Having cash is big boss moves. I don't know if it is. Yeah, it is. Writing a check is not it. If I go like, I got it and I pull out my checkbook and flip it open, make sure I got the little thing in between the two carbon copies. They start writing it.

Like not the same attitude. Is it not even kind of, and then you have to wait. So you can put it in your little ledger. Like rip, rip, rip, rip, rip. And I go, there you go. And then, yeah, then I put it on my balance sheet. And I go, all right.

And I fold it and put it back in my pocket. That's pretty. Right. That's pretty popular. Right. That's a move.

No, that's not it. I don't know if cash is either. I don't. I feel like I got this. Isn't it the black amix? Isn't that the high roller? I don't know.

I don't either because I don't high roll. But again, that's that that probably was the move when cash when credit cards were new and they were for restaurants and stuff. Like that was probably the move to be like, I'll put it on my check and you hand them that and then they go, okay.

And they bring out the cart with the little metal thing and they put your card on there and they go, because it's all raised numbers that they have to just read to put into a some sort of system later on that night. What I will say is I had somebody pay in cash yesterday at my other job. Yeah. So he had, he paid $3 in change. Okay.

He was just trying to offload change and he didn't want to have to pay the coin star fee. I get it. I go out to eat a lot. This is the change I get and I go, it's fine.

I know how to count money. It's fine. I can handle it. But then I went change. Yeah.

And then it gets loose. So here's the thing. I went to lunch earlier this week, Monday, I think, and I and I paid for lunch with with a 10 and a five.

And it was like 14, 15 or something. And I got like 70 something weird odd cents back and they have that little tip jar and I went, I'm not carrying around change. Big boss moves, man.

You can't do that with a card. It was actually, here's the thing. It sort of relieved my tip fatigue. I didn't feel the pressure when I paid in cash. I don't feel the pressure to take if I pay everybody that goes, you want to leave a tip on just a couple of questions and they spin the thing around. If you pay in cash, they don't ask you. It goes away.

Interesting. Because you pay in cash. They go, oh, here's your change.

And then he's wrote in your tip jar like, if you want, you're real high, high roller, big boss moves. I'm telling you, bro, I get it. So I disagree. Cash is not old. Fuddy duddy. Card is lazy. Check remains old.

Fuddy. Nobody with a checkbook is cool. It's just not a cool. All right. A check for it.

Hope that clears. No, that's the thing. Let me check my bank account.

No way. Doing it with cash leaves an impression. Strong boss moves. I heard keep saying it. You were cooking dinner last night and you looked over.

I was sitting at the table and you looked over and you go, what are you doing? Add a little lip brush. Yeah. What is that thing? It's called a lip refresher. You said it's exfoliating my lip.

Yeah. And I went, what? It looked like when I looked over, it looked like you'd never had a lollipop before. So you were like, I don't do I just rub it on my face? Like I don't know what to do with that's what I thought was going on. I was like, is that a chupa chup? What do you have going on?

This was little ones. Like I have that. No, chupa chup. It's a different one. I don't know what that is.

Oh, it's a different kind of lollipop. Anyway, I had one on the nightstand that I brought home. I haven't eaten yet. It's a, it's a like a apple, like a fall cinnamony apple one. Okay. Anyway, but it's got a little spice to it like a little hot tamale type cinnamon.

Oh, yeah. And I just haven't tried it yet. And I thought maybe that's what you had. But then it was like a weird like baby pink color, like a, like a Easter egg pink. And I was like, what, what is going on?

I was very confused. So a few months ago, I bought this thing at TJ max and it's, it was just a little lip. Like it's a double side. It's like a little brush, but there's got like little silicone nubs on it or something. On one side, it's like little, a bunch of little bristles.

And then on the other side, it's got like little rings, like a fingerprint. Kind of. Yeah. And I bought it.

Yeah. And I've been using it because they say it's for your lips. What is it supposed to do? It's supposed to exfoliate your lips and make them soft.

Uh-huh. And so I've been using that, but Emery is like, you got to have like a scrub or something for that. And you don't just use the brush. I go, I just bought the brush. And she goes, but you'd like it's supposed to have a scrub. And I went, cool. That makes sense.

Okay. So did you find some scrub? I was able to find the scrub. Oh, how fancy.

You find a little, I found a little lip scrub and then I found like a little, so the lip scrub exfoliates. Yeah. Cause it's probably pumice.

That makes sense. Pumice sounds a little bit rough. No, but the varying levels, but it has little, like pumice stuff in it. Yeah.

Yeah. And then not like that hand cleaner, that orange hand cleaner soap, not like that pumice, you're not trying to get oil off, but it's, it's exfoliating because it's scraping the surface. That's what it does. And so then you rub your lips with the exfoliator scrub. And then you get like a little gel mask that you put over your lips with the other side.

Okay. And it makes your lips so refreshed and soft. But why?

Because I want soft lips. Okay. That's all.

All right. I bite my lips when I'm bored, when I'm nervous. And it's a means for me to stop biting them. Is that right?

Yep. How do you think they look after one treatment? Zero difference. What am I supposed to see? It looks like your face still.

But look at the lips. Yeah. I don't like that face you're making. I don't know what that is.

Maybe you would notice if you gave me a kiss. Oh, is that right? Yeah. Okay. I'm just saying.

I'm just saying. Really? You know that sign that people have above their bed? Sometimes it says.

Always kiss me goodnight. That one? Yeah. Uh-huh. I've seen that one. That, that ends around a year.

What does? Kiss you goodnight? Always. I kissed your forehead last night. You did?

Yes. You were asleep. And I went, well, goodnight.

Kiss your forehead like real nice. That is nice, John. That sign lives in my heart. Get out.

Get out. It's fully aided my heart. It's soft.

One treatment I don't think it's going to do much, but. What are you expecting to have happen? Soft lips. How soft?

Super soft. What? It's weird, isn't it? No. Shouldn't there be some firmness there?

I mean. I don't know what you're going for. I'm confused about, this just feels like a money grab. I don't feel like this is a necessary thing. Never in the history of people, people have exfoliated their lips until now. Oh yeah. No. Cave people out there rubbing them on sand. No, they weren't. Got to get these soft lips.

Whatever a caveman voice sounded like. I just mostly because there's a lot of dead skin. I'm just exfoliating. Okay. Just don't mind me exfoliating. Maybe not at the dining room table. I don't know.

Cause it was strange. It's not like any flakes are falling off or anything. Yeah, you're right. It's not like that foot sander they make. I'm not doing that at the kitchen table.

See soft feet I understand, but your lips aren't the same as feet. You know what I'm saying? I get what you're saying, but why can't I have both? I'm not saying you can't. I just don't understand. It wasn't like they were calloused and hard.

My lips? Yeah. I get it. Okay. All right. Good investment.

A couple of weeks ago, I saw on either Instagram or TikTok, I was slightly influenced. I didn't buy it because you said it was a dumb idea. I said, Hey, I need to clean the inside of my windshield.

And I saw this thing that's a telescoping pole with a microfiber cloth and you can use it to clean. We might have even talked about it on the radio. I think we did. I said, you can use it to clean the inside of your windshield. And you said, what'd you say to me? Well, I just felt like you could just do it with a cloth. Yes. You said you can do that with a cloth. We have any kind of cloth inside.

Just do it with a cloth. And I go, no, but this one has a pole. And you said, get a pole. Put a cloth on a stick. Yeah.

Bottling. Done. Job done.

And I said, fine. I guess I won't buy that. Do you know how much it costs?

And then I, no, I do not. Probably like 20 bucks, right? I don't know. I think that I bet not. And then I went out one day and said, I got to clean my windshield and I can't, Josh won't let me buy that cloth.

Won't let you. So I. Like I have any, no, you will not spend money on that.

That's not a thing. So I got the Windex and I got a paper towel and I went in there and cleaned the inside of my windshield. And you said it looked great. You were really happy about it. No, you said it looked great even. You said, hey, do you want to do that to mine now because yours looks so good.

That's right. We're at the store last night. You're holding something, but you're kind of hiding it a little bit. Oh no, I wasn't hiding it. Yeah, initially you were. No, I knew it was going to be spotted.

I was, I was ready for the wrath that was going to come with putting that in the cart. I found for six whole dollars, six dollars. I'm a sucker for a deal. If you would have said, I got this thing for six bucks. I would have been like, what a great deal you got. No, but I guarantee that thing online was at least 20.

No, but if I had bought it for six, you would have been like, you didn't need that. Well, you could have just used to stick in a cloth. So this, this is a, this is a stick and four cloths.

So you can have one color be yours and one color be somebody else's or whatever. I don't want any part of it. It also comes with a little spray bottle to put your window cleaner in so you can keep it in the vehicle. I don't want any part of your windshield cleaner. None of it.

That's yours. I will not be using that. I'm going to buy my own telescoping pole with the microfiber cloth and you're not allowed to touch it. I'm not excited to touch the microfiber cloths. I don't like how they feel.

So I would appreciate if you would do it. No, I'm not. So angry. You're bouncing up and down about it. You can't sit still. You're really angry about this, this silly little thing.

It is silly. I'm not that angry, but come on. When I saw that in your hand last night and see how much yours would have cost. I don't know if I could even look it up. It was just an ad that had played through. How do I even search?

I don't even know. Windshield cleaner? That just is going to get you the foams and stuff.

Windshield cleaning tool, I think that's what it was. How about this? This says it's $464.

No way. The one that I'm looking at, the one that I initially liked is $17.99. But it has four reusable cloths. So does this one? It has an extendable handle.

I don't know if this one has an extendable handle or not. And it has the moisture spray bottle. Okay, so it's like the same kit I got for $6.

So I got it for less money, which is a good deal. Okay, but that's fine. But you said you don't need that. You just use a spray bottle and a paper towel.

Yeah, but here's what I found out. It's going to hurt my arm. How's your arm feel after you washed it with the paper towel? Fine. It wasn't a big deal. Fine.

Fine. Would have been better with the tool, but fine. So I haven't used it yet.

It's still in the package. Okay. Use it. I plan on it. Win.

Maybe today. Okay, great. I get crazy. Fine. I mean, look, it can be done with like window cleaner and a paper towel.

Yeah, I did it. I know, but I also, my truck has a bigger windshield. I needed the tool to do it. Great.

Have a good time. I might do yours with it just to see if there's a better, I'll do just one side. I'll just do the passenger side with it. I already did it. No, I know, but just to see if you missed any spots. I did it.

But then you'll know for sure if you did. No, I don't want any part of your windshield cleaning tool device. Don't even get it near my car. Why?

Because we want no part of that. Okay. That's your $6 tool.

You only use that. And if you have a problem with the microfiber towel, so sorry, bud. They're so gross feeling.

Too bad. Why do they have to feel like that? Like they grab your fingerprints. Like, why is that a thing?

Those fibers stick to my fingertips. I hate it. They do. They really do.

It gets a little bit like, whoa. Why is it grabbing my individual fingerprint lines? It's holding onto them.

It wants a hug. I don't like it. There is a new show coming called The Nation's Dummas. The Nation's Dummas?

Yes. It is a celebrity game show, but it comes with a twist because the losers are the winners. Celebrities will compete to get kicked off as quickly as possible so they aren't crowned The Nation's Dummas.

Interesting. The goal is to win. It's to get eliminated. So they want the contestants to include a mix of all types of celebrities. So they want influencers, comedians, politicians if possible.

They will be put to the test with both physical and mental challenges. About things everyone should already know. It's really popular in Scandinavia. That's what I was going to say. This is a hit in Norway. It launched last year. It's now in its second season. It is the country's most watched show in Norway. Right. Sweden has a version.

I'm looking where else there's. BBC owns the format of the show and they have sold it to France and Germany and Finland as well. So there are many versions of this show across the world.

I would say the same thing happened with The Voice. Huge as a thing in South Korea. Monster, monster show. And then they brought it to America and then America watched it and ratings were doing different things. So then they made modifications to make it more exciting for America.

And so now the American version is not the same version you have in other places. Oh, also, what's the Mask Singer? That's another one.

Hugely popular all over the different parts of the world. Anyway, go on now. Oh, I think I said everything I needed to say.

Okay. Fox is the one adapting this. So when it does get into aerodate beyond Fox, they don't know who is going to be competing yet or when it's going to come out. But I think it's kind of fun. Although you don't want to be crowned the nation's dumbest, but you do want to stay there for a long time too, right? Because it's part of your, if you're a celebrity, it'd be part of your marketing plan. Yeah, I suppose. Like you'd want to get your name and your face out there so you wouldn't want to be eliminated quickly, but you also don't want to stay quickly.

Yeah, you probably don't want to be the first to go, but you also don't want to be the smartest. I don't know. Of that group anyway. Yeah, I don't know. This is a weird concept. I know. There have been other Holland shows that have been redone.

The Floor, I assume is like The Floor is Lava. There's a show from Belgium called 99 to Beat that has been redone for America. I don't know which one that is, but Britain's master chef, the 1% club, Lego masters and Farmer Wants a Wife have all been turned into shows for America and audiences. Oh, I mentioned the Korea, the Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice.

Those are the two that came from South Korea. Okay, go back. Farmer Wants a Wife. I feel like that's just- Farmer Wants a Wife. It's like a bachelor program, right? Except he's a farmer.

Farmer Wants a Wife is now the American version as well based on the British show of the same name in which a bachelor farmer chooses a potential romantic partner among a group of 10 single city women. Oh, come on. That's never going to work. Yeah, see, lifestyle clash.

Farmer Wants a Wife. There's just that. There's got to be a better name. I told him saying.

Oh, that's great. What is 99 to Beat? 99 to Beat is a game show franchise. The U.S. version premiered on Fox in September of this year.

So it's new. Ken Jong and Aaron Andrews host. 100 contestants compete in a series of games to win a million dollar prize. One person is eliminated after each round until one winner remains.

I kind of just want to know, I was trying to see if I could find any, like what are the, for this nation's dumbest, I want to see what are the challenges. Oh, okay. Good question. And what, what constitutes something, I don't know. It says something that everyone should know, right? Mental, both physical and mental challenges about things everyone should already know. I want to know what some of the challenges are.

I'm trying to look it up as quick as I can. Okay. Well, the pictures that I see don't give a lot of information.

I know, I was looking at pictures too, but. I mean, they're like, there's someone dressed up out in the audience with like a feather thing and some gloves on. I don't know what that is. There's something with like, this, this looks like you're blindfolded and you have to like accomplish a task. You can't see what you're doing. This is a picture of someone in a harness suspended from the ceiling, like on like a flight thing that they use for like Peter Pan, crashing into a wall of cardboard boxes.

I really have no idea. Like I'm making all of this up just based on the pictures that I see. Like if you're just crashing through a wall of cardboard boxes, how does that determine whether or not you're intelligent?

I don't think it does. I think it's the object here is to not win the game. And so whatever the competition is, you're going into it like, okay, whoever knocks over the most boxes is going to be eliminated. And it's going to be a puzzle that you have to try to figure out how to knock over the fewest in order to not win that competition.

It's that kind of, it's a backwards engineered game, I think. Okay. Interesting. Yeah. From what I can tell from still photos. Interesting. It seems kind of interesting.

Okay, I was just looking at a video. They took a test. They gave all these, this is the BBC version.

They gave all the contestants a test. And the first question is, what is ketchup mostly made of? Oh, sugar. Not tomatoes. No, tomatoes. The second ingredient. Somebody answered ketchup. It's mostly made out of ketchup.

100% made of ketchup. That is the correct answer. See, I could see how, and it's probably like a rapid fire thing or something. Or is this a written test? It was a written one. And then they had to, and then this other one is they've got a couple of different vessels, like plastic buckets.

Okay. And then they have to see how much, what is the accurate four liter amount? Like, how much would four liters fit in this bucket? What math are you doing? I'm trying to keep up. I know where everybody is.

Okay. He's got a bucket full of four liters of liquid. And then he's got three other sized buckets.

And he's got to pour the liquid into these other buckets, but it has to be an accurate. You should go on this show. I should. You should go on this show. You would win by losing, if that's the case, I think. I think this is a show for you.

I think so too. Because you're going to overthink every single one of these things. And then you're going to run out of time. And then they're going to be like, no, you didn't win. And you're like, but did I win? I think I did. But I think I won. This is your show.

I sent you a thing yesterday and you said that. Is that real? Or did I just say AI? What was it? Oh, no, not the not the kid holding the bat at the doorbell. That was for sure. And you said, okay, fine, it's AI. What's the thing you sent me? And I said, is, oh, I remember it's, it's, I can't remember the company that's making it. Is it Tillamuck? Tillamuck, who you would know for their cheese is, is kind of making a spread for grilled cheese sandwiches. Yes. That is not butter and is not Mayo, but is butter nays?

Yep, it's both. Is it butter nays? Butter nays.

Yep. It's a butter Mayo spread. Made from Tillamuck butter and Cupid Mayo. Who Mayo? Cupid.

Okay. Two packs of Tillamuck slices and one spreader. This is their idea. Oh, they have like a kit.

A perfect cheese, a grilled cheese sandwich. This comes out tomorrow. Okay. It is a limited time. They're offering it for just a limited time.

It's a limited edition. They're saying that it is the only thing you need for a great grilled cheese sandwich. Well, I would say, I would argue you also need some great bread. They didn't include that. They didn't include the bread.

You're right. If you don't have the bread, you don't have a sandwich. And I think if you have bad bread, you're going to have a bad time.

No matter what your spread or cheese is, you've got to have the good stuff. I kind of want to try it. Do you want to try it?

I'm not opposed to trying it. I am a mayonnaise on the grilled cheese guy. I'm a butter. And you're a butter lady.

Thanks. You called me a lady. Butter lady. No. Let's be real about what I called you. I'll accept it. You're a butter lady. It's fine. And I'm a Mayo guy. So, yeah, that's that.

Okay. This is available for purchase on November 6th. I don't know if you can buy it. You can buy it online at shop.tillamook .com.

It's expected to sell out. It is $15 for eight ounces. That's quite a lot.

And it's pretty expensive. But listen. Butter Mayo spread. Here's the thing. You're not using that for other stuff. No, you're only using that for grilled cheese. Right.

Unless, what else could you use it for? I'm going to think. I'm waiting. I got nothing else. Yeah.

You're not going to. No. It's a grilled cheese only.

So, if you're buying it and it's going to have a pretty good refrigerated life. Right. Unsure. Okay. I don't know. Okay.

Well, it's $15 and you do get the eight ounce butter Mayo spread and you do get two packs of Tillamook cheese. Yeah. Okay. And you get a spreader. Yeah.

So, there's more to it than just the spread. That's fine. I'm curious to try it. Get us on the list. Does it cost $25 to ship it? I don't know. It says that you get two slices of cheese, but here's what I think. Yeah. You get two packs of cheese. So, this is actually a pretty okay deal. Yeah. It's not bad. You get a sharp cheddar pack and you get a white cheddar pack. Hey, this isn't bad.

I'm going to, I probably might do this. I know. Do you have to order it online though? Yes. Okay.

Yep. Well, get us in the list. Well, it doesn't start until nine o'clock tomorrow in Pacific Standard Time. So, that's 10 o'clock art time. All right. I'll put it in the calendar.

Put it on the calendar. This is not the Oreo Thanksgiving thing. No.

Okay. Great grilled cheese greatness. Okay, but then what's your bread? We got to get a delicious bread. Oh, I'll handle finding us a nice bread.

I want something with a good crust that's also got a good surface area, but isn't too thick. I'll find the right bread. Okay. Okay. Perfect.

It's in the calendar. All right. Well, good luck. Hopefully we are able to secure that. We're going to get this butter mayonnaise and then we're going to try it. And this is going to be the best grilled cheese ever. Can we make some tomato soup to go with it? Sure. Go crazy.

I will. You showed me something yesterday that was pretty cool. I'm blown away by costuming and puppetry and the advancements that technology has made in these spaces. And in London, what do they call their Broadway? The West End.

The West End. They have a Paddington. I don't know if it's a musical. It's Paddington musical.

Okay. At the West End. And if you have not seen the Paddington that is on stage in Paddington, the musical, it is astounding. It is pretty cool.

It's incredible. It has a human actor inside. And then there is a puppetry of the face and emotion and stuff. But it's incredible. And when I see people, like reporters and stuff are talking to Paddington, and Paddington walks out on stage and it's real. It's mind boggling. Paddington was such an established childhood character for a lot of people that seeing Paddington in real life is like a weird surreal kind of experience for these grown adults.

Are you sure there's people inside of it though? There is a person. Because I thought it was just a full puppet.

There is a person in the thing. Okay. That's crazy.

I know. There's an actor in there. Are they tiny people? No, it's like a kid.

Oh, it is a kid? Yeah. Really? Okay. Interesting. That's fascinating.

Yeah. They are keeping, what I just read is that they are keeping some of their technical puppeteering wizardry a secret. They have to.

They don't want to get that out. Hold on. Paddington Bear is played by James, who's an offstage performer. Okay. And a remote puppeteer. Interesting. I don't think there's anyone inside. No way.

There's no way that thing is fully animatronic. Oh, it's time out. And then an onstage performer as well. Yeah.

There's someone in there. Okay. Okay.

Okay. There's somebody in there probably using like hand actions. And then the offstage performer is probably the voice actor.

Okay. So there's three people. There's three people.

And then there is a remote puppeteer. It's really cool. It's pretty fascinating. Yeah. Yeah. There's two. There's an alternate performer too. Like they've got some, a couple of other people to perform inside the bear. Yeah.

If something goes to rye. Right. And that's the really crazy part is that you get all of this very lifelike movement because it's, there's an actor in there. So you're getting all of the like real life motion that an animatronic tries and gets really close to now these days, right?

But this is a human. So there's fluid movement. And then all of the facial stuff is, is done through a puppeteer. And then you also have an offstage voice. So there are, the voice is not the person inside. Correct. Just the person inside is the actor. And then you have all the animatronics and then the voice. That's crazy.

It takes three people to run that thing. I want to meet Paddington in real life. Isn't that amazing? Absolutely incredible. I loved Paddington when I loved reading his books. When I was a kid.

So cool. And he loved Marmalade. Yes, I've heard.

So I've heard. So you remember like a week or so ago, there was an accident on I-15 in the southbound lane with the damage, the pillar. Yeah. The Riverton Bridge. Yes. Well, the bridge is still closed to all traffic and will remain that way. The overpass or the underpass where the freeway goes, I suppose, under the bridge has been stabilized.

I just sent you a link to the solution. And I'm curious about it because it's interesting. Here's what they say. The Idaho Transportation Department has shifted lanes to offer travelers one southbound lane and two northbound lanes separated by a medium I-15 between Blackfoot, Eights at 89 and 93. So that southbound lane at that Riverton Road bridge will be one lane until next spring, which is what I had said before. They're not going to fix it. They're just going to wait until that double lane project gets to that part, which is next spring. So all through the winter, that Riverton Bridge is going to be one lane. Yikes.

So just be aware, if you're southbound on I-15, between now and next spring, that will be one lane right there. And do you see the solution? I do. Isn't that interesting?

That's very interesting. They stacked up some rocks. I mean, they're big. They're like big cement. Yeah, it looks like cement.

And then they've used railroad ties at the top of that to provide adequate support so that the bridge will not collapse on the traffic below. Thank you. So much appreciated. Yeah, for sure. That's nice. Yeah, big deal there. But the bridge will remain closed to all traffic over the top so you can't drive over Riverton Road.

And then that is going to be one lane on that southbound until the spring. Okay, so what I know to be true is remember to be kind. Yes. You're all going through that freeway together.

I know, yeah. You're all trying to get to a destination. You're all trying to be on time to your destination.

Yep. So be kind to one another. And remember, winter isn't always easy to drive. I know.

Especially on the freeway. Yeah. So. Yeah. Okay. Just know that that's there. Give yourself some extra time.

Yeah. Like any traveling you're going to be doing, if you're heading southbound on I-15, you have to go through Blackfoot. You're going to have to go past that temporary support structure that will be in place until they replace that whole overpass. Yeah. Which will not be until they get to that widening project in the spring. That's that. That's going to be a rough winter on that part of the freeway.

Yeah. We're going to have congestion at that point because it's got to go to single lane for a long time. So learn how to properly zipper. If everybody could zipper, it would be great.

One car, one car, one car, one car. Just like the teeth of a zipper. It makes everything flow real smooth. And I know, like I'm one of the guys who I go, I looked ahead. I know I have to be in this lane. I'm in this lane now. All these other people should have paid as much attention as me.

I do that. That's not the proper zipper. To proper zipper, both lanes need to meet and one car, one car, one car, one car. That's how it is very efficient, but it's frustrating. Yeah. It is.

And I've been that person who's like, why are you just not in the lane already? Anyway. Right.

You should have paid attention. That's what I always say to you. But okay, we're all in this together. That's right. Right.

Okay. I don't know if you saw the news because you were so busy worrying about what was going on with Jonathan Bailey, but David Beckham is now a knight. What? Yes. What did he do to deserve knighthood? Great question. King Charles III tapped his shoulders with the blade of the sword and he is now Sir David Beckham.

Okay. David Beckham said, this is without a doubt my proudest moment. I've been very obviously lucky in my career and to have won what I've won and done what I've done. But to receive an honor like this of a knight is beyond anything that I ever thought I would receive. Okay.

And here's what they're saying. Apparently it marks the pinnacle of his effort to rehabilitate his image following events that at times alienated him from fans. He's also had a very public persona as a fashion model, husband to Victoria, posh Beckham of the Spice Girls. It says for his services to sport and charity, recognizing his significant career as a footballer and his ongoing philanthropic work. Okay.

So he has partnered with UNICEF, the UN's Children's Fund and two decades for two decades and campaigned with a charity working to eradicate malaria. Yeah. I was just reading that. Those are noble things. And he's an ambassador for the Kings Foundation and he played a key role in London being awarded the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. All right. And yeah, it was announced as part of the Kings birthday honors.

Well, there you go. Honors with a U. Honours. British spelling. Congratulations to Sir Beckham. Sir Beckham.

Yeah, not mad about David Beckham. No. Have you seen his face lately? Look him up. Go look him up. I think David Beckham's been in a doctor's office. David Beckham.

What are you doing, buddy? Would you agree? Well, yes, I would agree. He certainly does not look like he used to. No, he does not. But he's a knight now. He is a sir to you. That's right.

Sir David Beckham. Would you rather this or that? Would you rather have perfect fall weather every day or one magical snowy early day? One snow day or perfect weather all days? Perfect weather all days. Perfect fall weather every day.

Yeah. Or you get a magical snowy day. I appreciate a magical snowy day, but I would prefer just to have all the fall weather all the time. Right. Like those mild temps. I know.

They're perfect, aren't they? I would like it to be 60. Oh, no. I like low 70s.

That's perfection. I'm saying in the 60s, not 60 on the nose. I'm saying I like 60 degree weather with overnight lows in like the upper 40s, low 50s. So real like 10 degree swing.

So you're comfortable the whole time in like a jacket. Yeah. That's what I'd like.

Sounds nice. With no wind. Yeah, exactly. Because the wind ruins everything. I'm just looking outside going like today could be a perfect fall day. I think today's a perfect fall day.

Looks nice out there. What's the temp right now? Do you know the temp right this moment?

37. It was warmer this morning at 5 a.m. But guess what it is today? It's 66.

It's supposed to be 64, mine says. No, you're using the wrong one. Okay. Because mine's right and it says 66, so I win. Okay. Yeah. Anyway, perfect fall day is the answer, right?

Let's take a perfect fall walk. That's it. That's it.

Strollin' through the leaves. Would you rather this or that? Okay, this is interesting to me. They're doing the Audible books for Harry Potter for the whole series. Oh, yeah. And they have started to announce some of the cast who will be voicing Hogwarts characters, which I think is interesting. Now, they're still more than a year away from the HBO Harry Potter series. That will be released soon.

But this Audible version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone will be released on November 4th. Is that yesterday? Oh. And each subsequent book will be released a month apart, culminating with Deathly Hollows on May 12th. Interesting. So apparently the first one's out.

Okay. I was, there was a woman on Instagram the other day who was talking about, because she likes to listen to our books. And she said, I've been getting some complaints from people that say that listening to your book is not necessarily considered reading a book. And then there was a teacher that chimed in and said, I think it counts because a lot of people, that is the only way they can retain that information because we all learn a little differently.

But she said, there is something about having somebody read an Audible book to you because it takes away your imagination for what a character might sound like in a book. I can understand that. I know, right? Yeah. But with the case of this, you've already been exposed to so much. That's true.

That's true. That you've already formulated and used to and what's what based on what you've seen. So let's run through a couple of these. So Harry Potter is being voiced by Frankie Treadway and or Treadaway. And Frankie has been in Matilda the Musical, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Elf, Mrs. Doubtfire, which is really cool. So he is playing the young Harry Potter in books one through three. Max Lester will be the voice of Ron Weasley in books one through three because they do get older, right? But he was an actor in Fantastic Four.

He has been on stage in Les Mis and several other things, which is pretty cool. Hermione Granger, young Hermione in books one through three is voiced by Ara Bella Stanton, who is in Matilda. She was Matilda in Matilda the Musical and went on to perform Starlight Express.

Now, not the Netflix one on stage, on stage, on stage, West End, I assume. And then older Harry Potter is played by this guy, Jackson Knopf, who has been in Big Fish, the Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was in the film Moishi. OK. And he's also been he's an animated voice actor.

What a good gig, which is cool. Who else do you want to know? You want to know who's going to be Albus Dumbledore? Hugh Laurie.

Oh, he's he plays house. Yeah, he'll be bringing Dumbledore to life. Matthew McFadden is Lord Voldemort in the books.

Riz Ahmed is Severus Snape. Who else? I don't know anybody else. People. Yeah.

Yeah, you would. Mark Addie is Hagrid. Mark Addie is I'm trying to see. He was in Game of Thrones.

He was Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones. Oh, yeah. Interesting, right? Yeah. Yeah. OK. Well, anyway, the first books out now and apparently you're going to get books up through May.

So go listen to Sorcerer's Stone on the audible version, I guess. There you go. Sounds cool. OK, let's wrap up the show. Let's do it. Have a fantastic Wednesday. We'll be back tomorrow. Get the podcast everywhere.

Podcasts are available and we'll see you tomorrow. That's all I have to say. Same. OK, we'll see you.

Bye.
