Right on Rangers LIVE!

Texas answered Friday's 10-2 disaster with a 6-2 win over Minnesota that keeps the AL West race alive for Game 162. The Rangers fell behind first, then scored four in the second and kept adding as Danny Jansen, Evan Carter and Alejandro Osuna helped the bottom of the order drive a 13-hit afternoon.

Austin gets into why that distributed production mattered, whether Osuna has earned more at-bats with the season on the line, and why Nathan Eovaldi's 4.1 innings were exactly enough. The show also digs into Robert Garcia's inherited-runner escape, MacKenzie Gore getting the ball for Game 162, and the strange appreciation that comes with meaningful baseball surviving all the way to the final day.

What is Right on Rangers LIVE!?

Right on Rangers is where Rangers fans ride the season in real time.

The LIVE shows are the heartbeat. Big wins, ugly losses, bullpen chaos, breakout heaters, trade rumors, roster debates, and the takes that come with actually caring about this team.

Sometimes those takes get hot. That’s part of watching 162 with people who are invested. But the reaction still has receipts. We use stats, film, history, roster context, and what’s happening on the field to figure out what the game actually revealed.

Between LIVE shows, we go deeper on the players, decisions, stories, and moments shaping Texas baseball.

Rangers first, always. When the calendar turns, the Cowboys, Longhorns, Mavericks, and the biggest Texas sports stories get their run too.

If you want sterile box-score recaps, this probably isn’t your show. If you want passionate Rangers talk with actual baseball underneath it, welcome in.

Hi and welcome to another edition of Right

on Rangers Live coming at you in the

bottom of the eighth inning.

Rangers lead this one 6-1.

Bats came to play today.

You have a number of positive things to

talk about from the offensive side.

You have Ezequiel Duran multi-hit, Danny Jansen

multi-hit, Alejandro Osuna multi-hit, Jake Burger

with a bomb against a righty.

A lot going well for Texas on that

side of the ball and pitching wise only

one earned run allowed.

Tyler Alexander getting into a little bit of

trouble here.

One out with a runner on third base

from Minnesota.

He is going to pump strike 193 right

at the knees to Clemens who is one

for three on the night.

Hope you're having a good Saturday.

We did a Rangers, excuse me, a Longhorns

Live earlier today.

We are back for round two, game 161.

Crazy that we started man back in honestly

February going through spring training games and here

we are late September.

Two games, less than two games left in

the season.

That has been quite the journey and it's

fun to see the Rangers in a spot

where no they don't control their own destiny

but at very least you have a shot.

You're playing meaningful baseball in September.

That has not been the case the last

two years.

I'm appreciative of the journey.

It hasn't always been what I would like

it to have been.

Could have done with a little less sweat,

a little less worry and anxiety, a little

bit more easy breezy.

That has not been the Rangers in 2026

but if they win today and Houston loses

tonight, the Rangers could be in first place

going into Sunday.

That is a crazy concept when you consider

some of the lows that this team has

had over the past two months.

Tyler Alexander two outs now.

He retires Cody Clemens.

Josh Bell stands in the way.

Strike one on the outside corner.

Appreciate all you guys hanging out.

Cosmic, I do like the Stars but just

very casual with the hockey.

I like watching hockey.

I enjoy hockey but just not a sport

I grew up with and so in terms

of deep analysis X's and O's, I'm probably

not the best guy for hockey.

I try.

I'm definitely trying to learn more and get

into it but I would say very casual

hockey fan at this point.

Love playoff hockey.

Man, the all-star, what was it, the

new all-star format they came out with

with the countries, that was fire and then

honestly you know anytime you got the countries

facing off whether it's the Olympics, whatever the

case may be, I think it's legendary.

So hockey fan but not on any kind

of expert level at this point.

Let's see, what do we got?

TikTok.

Doug Deuce, what's good?

Yeah, we were talking about the Cowboys playing

in Rio tomorrow and that field does not

look good.

Looks like they have got like the 24

-hour fertilizer out there just trying to make

something happen at this point.

Kind of crazy and it is good to

be hanging out with all you guys whether

you're watching on X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok.

Thank you for the support of the show.

We are sure hoping the Rangers can finish

this one out.

Laser to center, Evan Carter can't quite make

the play.

Oh, it was in the glove it looked

like.

It's gonna go down as a single for

Josh Bell.

The twins do make it a 6-2

ball game.

Man, Evan Carter almost made an outstanding play.

Looked like he had it in the glove.

He kind of hesitated.

Did he stumble?

It was like a weird stumble hesitation.

I really thought he was gonna be able

to make this play.

Look, it was going to be a great

play.

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like

Evan missed out on something routine here.

That would have been a phenomenal play if

Evan would have been able to glove that.

Looked like a stumble, a hesitation.

Not sure exactly what it was but the

twins will add a run.

Now Jenkins comes up for a lefty on

lefty matchup.

Beautiful pitch by Tyler.

Yeah, let's get a little challenge DJ.

DJ with the assertiveness behind the plate with

the challenges today.

I know Evo challenged one earlier but that's

Evo.

DJ has actually been on it with challenges

and he wins another one.

For all the crap Danny Jansen gets with

his ABS yeses and no's behind the plate,

he is doing his thing.

A YouTube comment here says congratulations Texas.

Today, it's a good win today.

Thank you so much for the comment.

It's definitely congratulations for at least a few

hours.

Let's see how Houston does.

Man, would it be special if the A's

could just do us a solid and win

tonight?

Oh, I'm not gonna get ahead of myself.

We still gotta win this ball game here

in the top of the ninth, bottom of

the ninth but and I'm already starting to

dream.

I'm not gonna lie to you guys.

I'm already starting.

I know dumping.

I know.

I'm trying to hold myself back right now.

I'm trying.

Go A's indeed Carlos.

We keep going.

Matt, appreciate you man.

Can we get by without using Latz and

save him for three innings tomorrow?

Very ideal Matt.

Great minds think alike.

I had the same thought.

That's why I was a little bit disappointed

Evan wasn't able to get to that one.

Not because it was a routine play.

Just because and if you do make that

catch and you go to the ninth inning

up 6-1, I do think you feel

a lot better about the wiggle room not

using Latz.

Maybe in that case going Jordan Montgomery.

They might still go Jordan Montgomery anyways.

I wouldn't hate the move.

I do think a four run lead there's

going to be a lot more scrutiny if

it doesn't go well.

If you don't pitch Latz here.

Ah, yep.

I think it's going to be an interesting

call.

That's for sure.

Fresh Latz for tomorrow would be ideal.

Very ideal.

Ethan, what's good man?

Yeah, look, you know I'm going to be

talking about my boy Alejandro Osuna.

You know it.

A multi-hit performance from him tonight.

Almost had a home run.

Almost hit home run number two of the

season.

They realize they could have had that guy

in the lineup all year long, right?

They get that.

Just want to make sure we're all clear

here.

This guy could have been hitting for you

all season long, but I digress.

Alejandro Osuna with a 262 average.

Man, where is that on the leaderboard for

the Rangers right now?

Foscue is hitting 272.

You got Zeke Duran at 262.

Feels like he's top three right now.

Nimmo's at 260.

Now I know Osuna doesn't qualify, but man,

you might just think, you might have a

crazy thought that a guy with the top,

I would say top three batting average right

now on the team, you might think that

that type of player would be a little

bit more useful at the major league level.

For whatever reason, the Rangers don't see it

that way.

What do we know?

What do we know?

Look, Evan Carter having a great day today.

God bless him.

He needs it.

Two for four.

Had a bloop hit.

Had a laser that went into the gap

early on in this one.

That really got the party started.

Man, the doubles parade in that first inning.

That was very good to see.

Extremely good to see.

He actually had that, excuse me, in the

second frame.

That was the top of the second four

spot to go up four one after the

twins made it one nothing.

And we all know how the Rangers do

when they don't score first.

It's not an ideal scenario as Wyatt Langford

pops up here.

Wyatt had a nice base hit earlier and

then quickly took a step backwards with getting

thrown out at third base.

He kind of hesitated on the base paths

on a ball that was errantly thrown, that

caromed back all too nicely to Minnesota.

Still, Wyatt hesitates a little bit.

Makes the third out at third base.

Cardinal sin in baseball, of course.

Wyatt is having a tough time catching breaks

right now, that's for sure.

In his other ABs, he does have a

couple of strikeouts, a couple left on base.

Payton Gray throwing right now.

Okay.

He, I don't know.

And I love Payton Gray.

I don't know that I am interested in

Payton Gray throwing in this ball game.

Peyton, I love you.

No, nothing personal.

I don't know that I am wanting Peyton

Gray to come into this six to two

game at this point.

I'm okay with, with a lot of different

scenarios.

I don't know a Payton Gray coming in

is my favorite, but you know what?

He'll probably do just fine if he does

come in.

I'm probably just being irrational.

That is what late season baseball does to

you.

But I would have thought Montgomery or Lats

are kind of the two guys.

I'm not sure Gray coming off of the

IL.

I know he's been around for a few

days.

He's been activated.

Seager looks like he's going to go down

on strikes here.

Two down.

Not, not my favorite.

Not my favorite.

Let's see.

Comment from YouTube here.

I love Osuna.

It's so tough because Nicky feels like a

higher upside version of him.

I think we need some Osuna bats if

we want a chance at a series in

the postseason.

Like my biggest thing, and I don't want

to get on a crazy Osuna soapbox.

I mean, let's see how the game unfolds.

Let's see where the wind takes me here.

But I'll say this Chris Young went on

105.3.

And you know, he does that from time

to time.

Right.

And he said that the hot hand was

going to play essentially.

You're playing a lot of guys that aren't

hot.

I mean, look, if we're going to go

that direction, Wyatt Langford shouldn't be playing.

If you're playing the hot hand and you

could bench Wyatt and put in Alejandro right

now, it's not going to make a big

difference.

It's not.

If you play Wyatt Langford off the bench

tomorrow, you can still get them in the

game.

I don't think it's going to make a

huge difference with how poorly he's playing.

Looks like it's going to be Latzy coming

into the game.

Yup.

Latzy you'll be in.

Okay.

There's our answer.

Look in all seriousness, Latzy is going to

be available tomorrow.

Anyways, it would have to get really bad

today.

You know, you're hanging on by a thread

winning a six five game.

I'm not trying to speak this into existence

by the way, but you would just hope

that this is a fairly quick inning.

And I do think that you're going to

see him pitch tomorrow anyways.

So I don't think him pitching today means

he's unavailable.

Yeah.

I'm with you on this.

As long as we don't see a 25

pitch plus inning, we'll knock on wood.

I even hate to speak it out loud,

but at the same time, I do think

the analysis here is correct.

If you can avoid a 20, 25 pitch

inning, something like that, I think you're going

to be okay.

Hey, what's good, brother?

How are you?

Wyatt been bad comment from Facebook here.

Why it's been bad.

And him with Corey at the top of

the lineup, just terrible.

Like I said, I think you could bench

Wyatt Langford tomorrow and play Osuna and it

really wouldn't make a big difference.

Now that takes guts.

That takes a little bit of an uncomfortable

decision, but Wyatt Langford is not hitting right

now.

And he's not really playing amazing baseball either.

A lot of strikeouts, some questionable decisions out

there.

The mental side of it.

I don't think a lot of Rangers fans

would complain if you did it either.

I know there's some people that have gone

back and forth with me about Osuna nearly

all season.

I don't even know if they would be

complaining if we benched Wyatt Langford in the

last game of the season.

Not to say you can't bring them on

to pinch hit.

You can't bring them on later like the

Rangers do with literally every bench player anyways,

but that would be me, Ethan.

I would love to see it.

Comment from YouTube says a Langford banger incoming.

Sure.

Hope so.

Look, I have been so clear and some

people, you know, the, the casuals, the right

on Rangers casuals just don't get it.

If Wyatt Langford goes off, if he needs,

if he needs right on Rangers, harping on

him a little bit to go off, I

am more than happy to eat crow.

You guys don't even understand.

And a lot of the casuals don't understand

either.

I would gladly eat crow.

I don't shy away from any take.

We're not deleting bad takes.

You're not going to get them right.

A hundred percent of the time.

You definitely not.

But I will say this right now, why

it, and the numbers that he has given

you, you're not going to get a whole

lot worse play in Osuna than Wyatt Langford.

If at all, we keep rolling.

Appreciate all you guys hanging Latzy quickly.

Oh two on Martin here, Martin two 32

average.

And on the day, first day be here,

pinch hitting for road in the left fielder.

Lats.

He has asked, been asked a lot over

the last month of the season.

And with all the injuries mounting up, it

is definitely understandable.

Latzy going to get a big strike three

call here through a pitch middle in and

froze Martin.

That was a pretty good pitch to swing

at Martin, not ready for it.

Probably looking off speed pitch change up there.

Maybe instead he gets the heater Latz off

to a good start here.

We keep going.

Appreciate all you guys.

Hey, patience.

What's good.

Comment from X let's go.

Indeed.

Thanks for hanging out, man.

Appreciate all the support, all the comments, brother.

Thank you so much.

Seriously.

Every player is absolutely available tomorrow.

Comment from YouTube there.

Ethan totally agree.

It's all hands on deck.

You got to make it now tomorrow just

to all be on the same page here.

The Astros game tomorrow is at two Oh

five in the Rangers play at two 10.

So I love that you have them playing

side by side.

You don't have the Astros, you know, able

to really take any time off.

I love that.

You know, you, you don't have a case

where the Rangers play earlier than this and

then the Stroh's can kind of rest easy.

If the Rangers lose, I love that each

team has to play simultaneously.

Astros actually start a little bit before Texas

does.

That is an ideal setup for the Rangers.

I don't think that's an ideal beneficial setup

for the Astros.

I think it definitely benefits Texas that you're

playing at the same time and you're forcing

the Astros to actually have to win a

game there.

Absolutely.

Keep on going, man.

Drop a comment, drop a question.

We're finishing out the bottom of the ninth

inning here.

Two, two pitch from Latz is fouled off

by Royce Lewis.

By the way, all y'all know the

drill already.

We've been going for a little bit, but

here at Ride on Rangers, we cover everything

Texas sports, big emphasis on the Rangers during

the MLB season.

And we thank you for choosing Ride on

Rangers for all your Texas Rangers content.

Drop a comment, drop a question.

We're hanging out, talking ball, hopefully talking about

a Rangers win.

Latzy going to set and fire here.

Nice pitch by Jacob.

Pulled the string there.

Lewis able to go down and get it.

He fouls it off 99 off the bat.

Got a little beat on it.

Here we go.

Lats over his last several outings.

You know, it's definitely been a little bit

up and down for him lately.

Again, maybe the usage playing into that a

little bit, but not tonight as Latz gets

his second strike out of the inning.

He gets a foul tip.

Royce Lewis, nice change up pitch on the

outer edge and Lewis tips it right into

the glove.

That'll work.

Danny Jansen squeezes it and we are down

to the twins final out here.

Pitch one Latz quickly.

Oh one.

Hey, what's good Instagram.

Thanks for hanging out.

I see a bunch of y'all.

Let me get to the comments here.

He Latz is definitely CW.

Appreciate you.

Lats has definitely been a little over pitch.

He's pitching well tonight.

J40.

Who do I think gets the start tomorrow?

I think it is a Gore.

Isn't Gore lined up for tomorrow?

Maybe they haven't announced it.

I think they pulled back, but I thought

that I had heard rumblings.

It was going to be Gore, but in

all seriousness, it's all hands on deck tomorrow.

Like it could be Gore, but that doesn't

mean he's going to be lasting for very

long.

I mean, I think he is.

Anybody that pitches tomorrow is going to have

an extremely short leash, extremely short.

Lats one and two count Minnesota down to

their final strike.

Lats at 14 pitches so far, and he

is going to try and send Texas back

to the hotel happy tonight and an all

important ultimate game one 62 lined up for

tomorrow.

Man, it would be sweet if you could

get a little bit of help from the

A's tonight and then tomorrow you control everything,

everything.

There's a pitch, another foul, and we'll do

it again.

Yes, soldier.

I'm with you on this comment here from

YouTube.

I don't like not controlling your own destiny.

That's why it was just so painful.

What happened to them when they did take

advantage and they had the division lead towards

the beginning of the week?

I don't know how Caratini laid off that

man.

That was a very nice pitch by Latz,

a nice change up at the bottom below

the zone, just beneath the zone.

No fishing from Victor Caratini twins catcher Latz.

That's strike three fire up the I like

Texas music.

Hello, win column.

The Rangers pull ahead in the AL West

by a half game.

And we will now turn our attention to

the Houston a series to the A's game

later tonight, but for at least a few

hours we are in first place and the

Rangers hope to last through the night into

tomorrow with that first place lead going into

game one 62 tomorrow, the Rangers with a

massive response after an embarrassing loss on Friday

night, Texas gets the six to victory.

Jacob Latz slams the door and we have,

we're going to have a great post game

show for you guys, man.

We got so much good stuff to talk

about.

Always more fun to be hanging out with

y'all after a win like this.

No doubt, Garrett.

Yes, you do have to be happy about

this win.

Comment from X there.

Yes, you do.

Look, I definitely understand.

There are some mixed emotions about this team.

There's some mixed emotions about this team.

Y'all.

I totally get it.

I know that some of you guys have

been hurt way too many times by this

ball club in 2026.

I hear you, but look, we, we have

an opportunity here.

Everything in front of the Rangers.

You need a little bit of help.

You need a little help, but you win

today.

You seal it with the win tomorrow and

we're in business.

You never know what can happen when you

get into the dance Rangers one game away

from getting back to October for the first

time since 2023.

Can we please get an A's win tonight?

Please.

My goodness.

The A's terrorized us all season long.

Do us a little bit of a solid

tonight, please.

Please.

I can't even believe the Rangers are in

this spot.

I did tell you guys a couple of

weeks ago, a couple of people cornered me

a little bit on the show.

Are we making the playoffs or not Austin?

And I said, yes, I have no cutting

edge analysis, no cutting edge analysis to give

you this season has just been so incredibly

weird and nonsensical.

The Rangers are going to find a way

to make it in.

And so far so good.

We don't control our destiny, but the Rangers

doing their part, at least for one day,

who knows what could happen tomorrow, but at

least for one day, the Rangers do their

part.

We got to enjoy it.

Have to enjoy this one.

I will say this, some Astros fans that

stop by the show every now and then,

like, like I said to you guys about

a week ago, some fans that I, I

respect that can't be said of all Astros

fans, but I had a few Astros fans

stop by and tell me in so many

words, man, you guys have a shot.

We do not play well against the A's

and I, to which I said, we do

not play well on the road.

So it is not a foregone conclusion that

the Rangers are going to go up to

Minnesota and crush it either.

Hopefully those sentiments will come true tonight and

or tomorrow.

You don't know what this team is capable

of.

If they can just get it in.

I see a lot of people, a ton

of fans thinking they already know what's going

to happen when you get into October.

I dealt with it a bunch today.

Oh man.

Even if they make it, they don't have

a shot, the pitching, their injuries, blah, blah,

blah, blah, blah.

Oh, did you not pay attention in 2023?

Did you not pay attention that this team

going into the 2023 playoffs?

Most Rangers fans said they were dead in

the water.

And if you didn't, you're not being honest

when this team lost three out of four

in Seattle, limping into the playoffs, got on

a cross country flight to play a really

good Tampa Bay team.

You did not have a lot of Rangers

fans inside.

I don't care what they were saying outwardly.

You didn't have a lot of fans expressing

a ton of confidence in the club, myself

included.

I was not sitting around in 2023.

After we dropped that game on Sunday and

you watch the Astros pop the champagne, celebrating

an AL West division title.

I was not feeling great about the chances

that the Rangers had to run it all

the way to the world series and win

it.

So everybody that thinks they've got it figured

out, Oh dude, it's not even worth it.

Why do you even, what are you even

going to do in October?

You don't have it.

You don't have any pitching, the injuries, Jung

is out.

What have you learned from 2023?

Apparently nothing.

Because if the Rangers find a way into

the playoffs, you don't know what is going

to happen.

Is it likely they win it all?

Probably not.

Can it happen?

Yes, absolutely.

Anything can happen.

I would love to see Texas just get

a shot and then don't let them get

hot.

Remember 2023, do not let this Texas team

get hot in October.

It doesn't make sense.

I'm not saying that it does, but do

not let this team go on a run

like they did in 2023.

We keep rolling Alex.

Yes, sir.

TikTok comment.

Oh, soon.

We love Alejandro Osuna on the show.

And you know, it's just a complete shock

that he gets a chance to hit in

the lineup today and coast two for three,

completely bewildering that a guy who has the

top three batting average on the team would

come in and be productive when given the

opportunity.

Absolute shocker.

Like I said, to open up the show,

they realized that they could have played this

guy in the lineup more than the 40,

50 games, whatever it is that they gave

him, right?

Yeah, absolutely.

Could have for whatever reason they would rather

give it to guys that have been slumping

for the past month, month and a half.

And, you know, God bless Wyatt Langford.

God bless Evan Carter and all these, all

the other guys that are playing currently.

And it feels like Osuna probably could have

gotten a few more ABs with the amount

of struggles that we've seen out of certain

players down the stretch.

Brian, what's good, my guy.

Thanks for hanging out.

It's coming down to one 62.

Nothing like it.

Nothing like it.

I missed this.

I got to be honest with you guys.

The last two years, 24 and 25, just

painful.

I mean, some of you guys were hanging

out with me when I was doing my

lives and we did our live shows to

the bitter end in 2024 the whole month

of September.

We were talking about a for next year,

for next year, all September long in 2024.

Then in 2025, we actually had the little

rascals run and it felt like there was

a shot.

And then we got our hearts ripped out

in Houston with Merrill Kelly deGrom and company,

soiling the bed down at the trough.

Now maybe it was Daikin at that time.

Who cares?

You definitely did not have the season coming

down to game one 62, the last two

seasons.

And for that, I am thankful.

We might get our hearts ripped out tomorrow,

but that is why we love this game.

I'd rather get my heart ripped out in

game one 62, then watch a whole month

of basically meaningless baseball.

And I hope you can agree, or at

least appreciate the sentiment.

I'd much rather watch games where you actually

have a shot at something, then try and

figure out different angles of how we can

make a month of baseball.

That really doesn't matter for the purposes of

the post season.

More interesting.

Rangers giving themselves an opportunity.

A minute made.

Yes, sir.

Daniel, appreciate the correction on that.

Y'all always keep me sharp.

You keep me honest.

I know some of y'all translated.

I appreciate those that did.

Who pitches tomorrow?

I'm waiting for the notification.

I've got notice on.

So if one of the beats will drop

that news within the next 2030 minutes, that

would be much appreciated.

I think it's going to be all hands

on deck.

Zach, good to see you, by the way,

man.

TikTok comment there asking who pitches tomorrow.

I think it's going to be Gore.

And I would imagine Montgomery is going to

be in the mix.

I think even of all the they might

throw of all the tomorrow.

I think it's all hands on deck.

I really do.

Yeah, I don't think anybody is off the

table tomorrow.

Even Evo.

I don't think they want to have to

throw Evo, but I think they would throw

Evo if they had to.

You got to be careful there.

Clearly, if he's dealing with some kind of

issue and it's going to create more of

an issue, don't do it.

But I would say even the guys that

threw today, even of all the probably available.

Rob, appreciate that comment.

Comment here from YouTube.

I won't be heartbroken.

Regardless, I've just enjoyed ball of late for

the most part.

They've had some stinkers.

Don't don't get it twisted.

The Rangers have had some embarrassing games.

Look no further than 24 hours ago, an

embarrassing 10 to 2 loss.

But you definitely have noticed a little bit

of a shift over the last two or

three weeks.

Do they you know, does does the team

that we watched really kick it around rear

its ugly head from time to time?

Yeah, last night again, a great prototype of

that, but it feels like the vibes have

shifted a little bit.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend

and be disingenuous like it's some 180 degree

turnaround, but it definitely feels like the vibes

are a little bit different with the club.

They still have not taken the bull by

the horns quite enough for my liking.

But they're here.

They've got an opportunity.

We keep rolling.

Yeah, keep a keep Texas.

Yeah, we need the Astros to lose tonight.

Preferably if we can get the Stroh's winning

the Stroh's losing tonight, the Rangers would be

in first place.

And then you really want to win the

game tomorrow.

But if you both lose tomorrow, the Rangers

would still go.

Houston would need a win tomorrow if they

lose tonight in order to have a shot.

We keep rolling.

Thank you so much for all the comments

so far.

You guys already know I've got plenty of

ammo to unload here in our conversation over

the next 30 minutes or so.

Look, this game to me was an actual

response.

Yesterday, Texas got embarrassed, punched in the mouth,

never responded.

They scored those two runs early on and

then just went home with their tail between

their legs for the final eight frames.

Texas answered immediately tonight after Minnesota went up

one, nothing.

And it was a beautiful thing to see

the bottom of the order, the bottom of

the freaking order with the one with three

or four doubles in a row, whatever it

was like that.

That is the weird stuff that you need

in these crazy late season runs.

You need weird stuff like that.

The bottom of the order gets hot tonight.

You look at the box score.

The Rangers got six hits from the bottom

of the order.

Seven, if you include Nicky Lopez, who was

sitting in the six hole, when you get

seven hits from six through nine, you're not

going to lose a lot of ball games.

Seven, eight, nine, though, tonight were a combined

six for 11, six for 11 with four

RBI.

Is that good?

It's asking for a friend here.

Six for 11 with four RBI from the

bottom of the order.

Danny Jansen, Evan Carter, Alejandro Osuna doing a

job.

Osuna almost had his second homer.

They're showing the replay right now.

Man, he almost got that one.

I thought he did.

I thought that ball was gone and it

almost was good stuff from the bottom, man.

And now if we could just get the

top half doing their thing, imagine you could

just get Corey Seager and Wyatt Langford and

all these guys tearing the cover off the

ball again.

And you know what?

The thing I like as well about this

game, they didn't call it a day after

that four run second inning, right?

How many times have we seen them score

in the first or second frame and then

literally never score again?

It happened last night.

It's happened multiple games over the past two

weeks.

You had Texas tack on in the fourth.

They tacked on in the fifth.

That to me is the thing that I

like.

One of the things I like the most

about this win, I'll say that.

You had them continue to add and that

has been missing at times this season.

Look, I don't think we can go too

much further without showing some love to big

game Nate.

We talked about Nitro last night.

We needed at least four or five innings.

I said five.

I think I was getting a little greedy

talking about six innings from Evo, but we

got four innings of one run ball from

Eovaldi and that was huge.

We needed that length and four hits, two

walks, not as cleanest, not as sharpest performance,

but nevertheless, he gave us the length that

we needed in this one to get it

to the bullpen.

I think he might be available tomorrow.

I know he threw a number of pitches

today.

I think he'll be available tomorrow if needed.

I don't see them shelving him.

If you need Nathan Eovaldi to go in

and win you a game tomorrow, you do

it.

You absolutely do it.

Swoled your comment here right on cue with

the Evo discussion.

I saw some people complaining that Evo didn't

go longer.

Totally agree with you here.

Comment goes on to say, you have to

remember this is his first time starting.

Thank you.

Who's complaining that Evo didn't go longer, dude?

I mean, read the room here.

I don't even think he's supposed to be

starting.

I mean, I hear you.

Would we all have loved for Evo to

go six or seven frames today?

Yes, but the dude was going to be

in the relief, middle relief.

That was the plan.

I feel like this start today is probably

not what they wanted to do, but they've

got no choice with the season on the

line.

I think Eovaldi gave you exactly what you

needed.

You needed somebody to get at least four

innings, maybe five if possible, and that's what

you got from Evo.

I think we have to talk about Robert

Garcia though.

This is a guy that has absolutely been

criticized left and right, myself included at times.

I'm not going to sit here and I've

been Robert Garcia's hype man for his two

years as a ranger, but I have been

a very big time Robert Garcia truther in

that if you just put him in good

situations, he is going to flourish and succeed.

Now tonight, he actually got some right handers

out.

He had a huge double play ball.

Four pitches, he came into the game, first

batter, got a double play to end the

inning.

He's done that a number of times this

year.

That was against a righty.

Big time credit to Robert Garcia.

One thing I want to say about Garcia,

totally unrelated to his success on the field.

Man, do I love that that guy plays

with passion.

He is probably the most passionate player that

we have on the team.

Every time he records an out, it looks

like he's made one of the biggest outs

of his life in the middle of October.

For as much crap as we give this

Rangers team for being robotic, emotionless, lacking fire,

lacking passion.

And I've seen a lot of that over

the last two weeks.

Shoot, I've seen a lot of that over

the past 161 games.

Nobody needs to be questioning Robert Garcia's passion

for the game, man.

Dude cares.

Dude is pitching like his life depends upon

it every time.

I have a newfound respect for him in

that department.

I don't know why it took me this

long to realize it because I've seen this

from Robert.

We've all seen it from Robert, but you

know what?

The results really weren't there.

And so you said to yourself, yeah, I

like the passion, but man, I'd really like

for the guy to get outs.

Now he's getting the outs.

And now the passion becomes more evident as

a result of that.

Can't question that guy's fire for the game.

Love seeing that from Robert Garcia today.

And honestly, a lot of Rangers fans would

appreciate seeing more of that from a number

of different players.

Maybe October is going to fish it out

of them.

I hope so.

Game 162 surely should.

But I just can't appreciate enough seeing that

energy from Robert today as he walked off

the mound after that inning ending double play.

Good stuff.

Colby, yes, I will be up for the

game.

Not going to hop on a live.

A couple of people asked, will I go

live for the Astros A's game?

No, I'm not going to go live for

that.

I've already done two live shows today, Longhorns

and Rangers.

I will be posting.

So you want to hit me up.

I'll definitely be doing a little posting throughout.

I hope Jonah Heim hits like a walk

-off grand slam.

No, I don't want to see walk-off.

I hope he hits a grand slam like

in the second or third inning, just rip

the heart out of Houston right away.

That is what I would like to manifest

right now, please.

I will be staying up for the game,

though.

I'm sure I'll be posting about it.

So if you want to come hang out,

talk shop during the A's Astros, let's do

it.

If you don't follow me over on X,

I'm on Facebook.

I'm on threads.

I'm on pretty much everything.

So if you want a little bit of

that in-game right on Rangers analysis, it's

a little reactive, but we've talked about this,

man.

I tweet like I'm watching the game with

you.

We're out at a bar, getting a cold

one and enjoying ourselves.

I'm not sitting around mild mannered.

How can I give you the most politically

correct take here?

I'm tweeting like I am your best friend

cheering on the team that you love and

reacting in every moment like it matters more

than anything else.

That's how I tweet.

If you like that, then you'll probably enjoy

heading over to X Facebook threads and giving

a follow.

But that's pretty much how I support this

team.

I absolutely have my moments where I step

back and I try to give as measured

of a take as I possibly can.

But I've said so many times that I

don't mean to sound arrogant.

I feel like even the hot takes, even

the passion it takes most of the time,

end up working out.

Okay.

I'm not going to pretend like I'm batting

a thousand, but man, it's not as fun

if you do it any other way.

That's what makes this game special.

The passion for the game, the passion that

the fans have for it.

Who wants to sit around and make sure

that we just have the most objective, unemotional

conclusions given online about the Rangers?

Who wants that, man?

Nobody.

Nobody.

All right.

I digress.

Soldier, comment from YouTube here.

You think if Gore pitches great and gets

us to the playoffs, I'll change my mind

on the trade?

This is a great question.

This is an outstanding question about McKenzie Gore.

I have been a big time advocate.

If McKenzie Gore would just be locked down

for the last, however many starts of his

career, I think I started saying this in

August.

I'm like, McKenzie, if you can just give

us two solid months of baseball.

Look, I'll say it now.

McKenzie, if you could just give us two

weeks of really good baseball, look, maybe a

little longer than that, please.

Preferably you can give us four weeks of

really good baseball.

Everything that happened this year, negative surrounding McKenzie

Gore.

It all goes away.

And yes, I will say trade worth it.

That's the beauty of McKenzie Gore season.

He hasn't been very good.

He has not been very consistent, but he

has an opportunity to really change the narrative

in one month, five months of inconsistent black.

It's totally turned around.

If McKenzie Gore can figure it out for

his next four or five starts, I absolutely

think he changes the narrative on the trade.

If he can find a way to be

that lockdown arm that the Rangers thought they

were getting when they traded five prospects in

the off season to obtain his services to

grow.

Look, I surely hope he gets another opportunity

to show the Rangers fans, to show the

Rangers faithful, what he's got.

I don't want to see him go out

in 2026 on that note with the fans.

I know some fans are probably sitting around

Colby.

You might be one of them, but no,

I don't want to see to grow them

in a playoff game.

It's going to happen if the Rangers are

blessed to make it to October.

And I hope we get some redemption from

the Grom.

I really do truly.

Absolutely.

Skip talking right now.

Let me know if you got the RSN

broadcast in the background.

Let me know if Skip's got anything of

substance, anything of value for us.

We keep going.

Look, impressive response.

I think losing Josh Jung last night.

I feel like it would have been really

easy for the team as a whole to

kind of throw in the towel, get down,

feel sorry for themselves.

You lose your best hitter and then you

come out and your response is 12 hits

through the first seven innings.

Ultimately, the Rangers ended up with what, 13

hits on the night.

Great response losing Josh Jung.

It hurts.

I'm not sitting here pretending like it's going

to be a cakewalk without him.

I do think the Rangers can find a

way, but it's not going to be great.

You never want to go into battle, into

October battle, especially without your best bat.

And that is what is going to happen

sadly for the Rangers and Josh Jung.

But what a response from the offense and

from the team today really could have potentially

been a day where you saw Texas come

out deflated.

You saw Texas come out with a little

bit of their head hanging.

And instead you saw Texas really take control

of this game quickly, right away after giving

up the one run in the bottom half.

Great to see.

Love the response.

Yeah.

And now comes like the weirdest scoreboard watch

of the year, right?

You've got, you've got Houston and the A's

facing off at 840 Texas time tonight.

That game starts at about, in about 15

minutes or so.

If Houston wins tonight, it becomes a matter

of one game.

Texas has to win.

Houston has to lose, but you sure would

love to see Houston drop the game tonight.

And then you wake up tomorrow morning, game

162 with total control of your destiny, total

control.

Duran is definitely tick-tock common here.

Duran is definitely in a good place right

now.

The bat's been a little cold though.

That's the only thing I'll say about Duran.

I know.

I think he had a hit or two

tonight, right?

He had a couple of hits tonight, but

Duran has not been as hot as he's

been throughout the season.

You look at Duran's numbers, he's batting one

67 in his last 15 games.

Like Duran has not been crushing it, but

I think we've all come to the same

conclusion that Duran's been carrying this team at

a number of different points throughout 2026.

It's not ideal that he's doing this right

now, sliding slumping a little bit, but I

think we got to give Duran some grace.

He has been just about everything for this

team, literally playing almost every position.

Good to see him getting a couple of

hits tonight, and Duran is three for his

last seven.

That'll work.

Take that into game 162, baby.

Who cares about the last 15?

Last seven ABs for Ezequiel Duran, three for

seven with a walk.

Been on base 50% of the time.

Pretty good.

You hope Duran will find that swing once

again, and the Rangers will be able to

ride that to October and on a pretty

deep October run.

That would be the plan.

We're sticking to it.

Eric, what's good?

Appreciate you, man.

Thank you for at least beating up on

the Astros a little bit when you guys

were playing them, and hopefully the A's can

do the same tonight.

Comment from Facebook here, got to applaud Evo

too.

Really needed him to do well, and he

shut them down.

Hey, Garcia, appreciate you, man.

As always, man, all the comments, all the

support.

I just want to say thank you genuinely,

my guy.

Good stuff here.

We talked about Evo.

No slander on the amount of outs that

he got tonight.

Somebody was telling me earlier in the show,

man, people were getting on Evo because he

only went four and a third.

The dude's coming off the aisle.

I'm going to take whatever I can get

from him.

I'm glad that he nearly got us through

five frames.

You got to do what you have to

do at this time, and I just think

at this point, four and a third, one

run ball from Evo.

When you really thought that he was just

going to be in middle relief most of

the rest of the season, I'll take it.

I don't think there's any way anyone should

be turning Evo's start today into a negative.

It was huge.

Probably one of the bigger reasons that we

won the game, if we're being honest.

Yes, the offense, big reason for sure, but

the fact that you had a Eovaldi big

game Nate doing his thing, doesn't matter if

it was only for 13 outs.

I'll take all 13 of those outs, man.

That's almost half the game taken care of

right there.

You think about things a little bit differently

when it comes to this kind of year.

It's survive and advance.

You got to take what you can get

from certain players, and Eovaldi coming off an

injury, I'm taking what I can get, and

I'm appreciating, man.

We don't know how many more years we

got left of Nate.

Maybe he signs another contract.

It's possible that we're riding into the last

season here.

Got to appreciate every time Evo takes the

mound.

Special player, big game Nate showed up today,

and the Rangers win.

A lot of that has to do with

the 13 outs that he gave you.

All right, we're continuing to roll here.

You guys keep me posted.

You see anything in the post game?

You hear anything in the post game?

Like I said, I got the notifications on,

so I'm hoping if one of the beats

tweets something out, I'll be able to read

that to you live on the air, but

let's go ahead and let's talk about tomorrow's

game, game 162.

Minnesota is currently listing Dean Kremer, who you

remember the Rangers faced in the Baltimore Orioles

ALDS and roughed up a little bit, so

497 ERA for Kremer.

Texas starter is still to be determined, and

we got to win.

I mean, you can, I guess, get a

Houston loss tonight, maybe lose tomorrow, but man,

we don't want to even talk about that.

Win both games.

Win today, win tomorrow.

Houston, a loss tonight, I'll say it doesn't

take a lot of pressure off of you,

but at least you can do a little

bit of scoreboard watching, and you know, you

see Houston get down big early.

Sure, it can change how you play the

game a little bit, but you got to

win tomorrow.

All hands on deck, pedal to the metal.

Can't count on Houston.

You have to take care of your business.

Let's land this thing.

We are right at about the 50 minute

mark on the show.

This is great, and then I'll finish with

comments and questions before we sign off and

go watch some college football, go grab a

bite to eat with the fam, and hopefully

have a good eight watch of the Astros

lose into the A's.

We're manifesting that right now.

Today told me Friday and the disaster that

was Friday didn't carry over into Saturday, didn't

carry over into today.

The response from Texas that you got was

the kind of complete game that this situation

demanded.

You had great pitching.

You had great offense.

The mental mistakes were limited.

The defensive miscues were limited.

In fact, you had a couple of really

nice defensive plays.

Brandon Nimmo might have saved the season with

that diving catch, by the way.

I don't think we've talked about that yet

on the show.

I'm being so dead serious.

It was four to one.

If Nimmo doesn't catch that ball, it's four

to three, and the whole complexion of the

game changes.

Entire complexion of the game flips.

I'm still unsure about the offense without Josh

Young.

I'm not going to lie to you guys.

I like what we got today, but I

just am hoping and praying this offense can

get a couple more guys hot.

Seager and Langford would be huge.

I'd love to see Osuna get a few

more at-bats here and there.

I definitely think at this point it's just

about who's hot, who's not, and the guys

that are hot need to be up more

in the lineup.

The guys that are not, you either need

to be moving them down or thinking about

giving them a day.

I don't think anything is out of the

question.

It's all hands on deck.

It's whatever is going to help the team

win.

Throw the feelings out the window.

Whatever's going to help the team win.

That's what we need to do right now.

Then the next thing up, who's going to

be starting?

We'll see if we get an announcement on

that or not from Skip.

You are going to have a great day

of baseball in store tomorrow.

Game 162, always a special day.

Always a special day.

Zach, I agree.

Comment here, wonder what their record is with

Osuna starting.

They should probably start him either way tomorrow.

Somebody put it so well, so eloquently in

the comment section of one of my Osuna

posts.

It's like, he's doing too well.

We need to bench him tomorrow.

He's doing too well.

He went two for three today.

Bench him.

Can't be having all that good hitting and

success up in this lineup.

What are we doing here?

I mean, look, in all seriousness, I'm not

going to lie to you guys.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to

me why Osuna didn't get more playing time

this year.

It feels like every time he got a

consistent runway, was he going four for four

every night?

No, but nobody in this lineup is.

Osuna has one of the highest averages on

the team, one of the highest on base

percentages on the team.

Remember, he can't hit homers, so we can't

put him in the lineup.

Yeah, I mean, come on now.

Who doesn't hit enough extra base hits?

Newsflash, we don't have our big sluggers hitting

extra base hits right now.

Take whatever we can get.

Give me the guys that just get on

base.

Zach announcing, and now all of the notifications

are streaming in.

MacKenzie Gore is starting game 162.

Man, he has a chance.

This is going to be crazy for Gore.

Steve, appreciate you updating as well.

This is going to be wild for Gore.

Now, Swoljer YouTube comment asked me, Austin, does

your opinion of Gore change if he goes

out and shoves tomorrow?

I know I'm ad-libbing a little bit

there, Swoljer, if he's still hanging out, but

it was a great question.

Now, let's go to the flip side.

If MacKenzie soils the bed tomorrow, man, that

is just going to be the cherry on

top of a stinker, of a stinker of

a 2026, and a stinker of a trade.

If he goes out and really melts down

tomorrow, you are going to see Twitter on

fire related to MacKenzie Gore.

I definitely don't want to see that for

him.

Clearly, I don't root for anybody to not

do well, but I can guarantee you the

comment section, my comment section is going to

be on fire tomorrow if MacKenzie Gore gives

up a two or three spot immediately.

It's going to happen.

CY and Fenstermaker, all those guys that executed

the trade, you're going to be seeing them

get a lot of criticism as well.

I'm sure the Beats will talk about it

as they come to their exit conclusions of

the season.

I'll be harping on it.

You got to have a good outing from

MacKenzie.

What's a good outing?

I don't know if he's going to be

able to go five or six innings, two

earned runs or less.

That's what I would say, two earned runs

or less.

Steve, comment from X here.

Nicky Lopez said he probably hyperextended his ankle,

said it's sore, but he'll be ready to

play tomorrow.

Good stuff.

You can do stuff with a hyperextended knee.

You can do some STEM treatments.

You can obviously ice it, do the heat

treatments as well.

There's a lot that you can do, I

think, with something like that.

There's other injuries, the ankle and that kind

of thing where it's a little more dicey,

but the injury and what it looked like

he suffered, I did think to myself, I

wonder if they're going to take him out

of this game, but we'll see how he

responds tomorrow.

That will be, I think, curious to see,

did they put him in the starting lineup?

Is he going to be available off the

bench?

I'll be looking for that for sure.

Hey, Brayden.

Yes, sir.

Texas Rangers baseball, nothing like it.

Game 162.

Here we go.

Oh, man.

All right, y'all.

We are going to sign off for the

night.

I am going to go hang out with

the fam, have a good rest of the

Saturday.

Hope you do the same, whether you're hanging

with friends, family, or just chilling at home,

doing your thing, and I hope it's a

good one.

Tomorrow we will be back.

It will be during the probably seventh or

eighth inning.

I might hop on a little earlier tomorrow

for game 162.

If it's the last game of the season,

we got to make it count.

I hope it's not, but I'll probably try

and hop on seventh inning, eighth inning at

the latest, so we can at least get

two innings, if not three innings in, watching

the game together live, and then post-game

we'll do, no doubt.

We'll be keeping our eye on the Astros

game.

I'll probably have the split screen going, and

look, tonight, yes, Andrew, if we are keeping

our eye on that A's game, which most

Rangers fans should be, definitely come and hang

out.

I'll be posting about the A's game as

it goes along, probably not with the same

frequency that I post about the Rangers, but

man, I would love a Jonah Heim multi-home

run game.

Wouldn't that be legendary?

Former Ranger Jonah Heim with a multi-home run

game.

Is he even in the starting lineup?

Watch, he's on the bench.

I'm manifesting all this, and Heim isn't even

playing.

He might not be, man.

He really might not be.

We'll check out the box score right now

and see what's going on.

Wes Nesky pitching for the Astros, and on

the other side for the A's, you've got

Perkins going.

Heim is hitting in the nine spot.

There we go.

Heim time in the nine hole, baby.

Let's go.

If he hits two bombs, man, you're not

going to be seeing enough posts from me

if he goes off in this game and

helps the Rangers out.

That'd be awesome.

Be awesome.

We'll see what happens.

This is fun.

Need a little help, but the Rangers, nevertheless,

cannot be eliminated today.

They could be tomorrow, but they cannot be

eliminated today.

They live to fight another day.

They win this game against the Twins 6

-2.

Thank you for hanging out.

We will be back tomorrow, and hope you'll

join us.

If you haven't hit that follow button, you

haven't hit that subscribe button yet, what are

you waiting for?

This is what we do literally every Rangers

game.

I'll also be live for the Cowboys tomorrow

as well.

We're pretty much going to go Rangers live,

15-minute break, Cowboys live.

If you're a Cowboys fan or NFL fan,

tomorrow right after the Rangers live, hopefully we'll

be celebrating a playoff berth, but right after

the Rangers live, we will get into Cowboys

football pretty soon after.

I'll be doing a little bit of a

hybrid, more Rangers pod, and then straight up

Cowboys pod after that.

Come hang out, man.

We'd love to have you along.

I cover pretty much every major sport.

Hockey is the one exception.

I like hockey.

I'm a fan of the game, not an

expert though of the game.

I really don't do a whole lot with

the Stars, although happy to talk about them,

like following them, just not going to be

doing some deep groundbreaking analysis on Dallas Stars

hockey.

You definitely have some better accounts out there

for that, but we do Longhorns for college

football and basketball.

We do the Mavericks as well in the

NBA, the Cowboys, and we do the Rangers

of course too.

If you like all that, hit that follow

button, hit that subscribe button.

Have a great rest of your Saturday night.

Go A's.

And as I always say to end every

show, God bless and go Rangers.
