Twenty

This podcast episode will explore how I started thinking about who I am and what defines me and my platform

Show Notes

One of the most significant barriers to becoming a successful thought leader is defining who we are and facing our fears. We might be afraid that we won't be able to live up to expectations or that our work won't be good enough for others to take us seriously. But these fears can seriously impact our ability to produce quality content consistently. It's important to recognize these fears and develop strategies for overcoming them to become more confident in our identities as thought leaders.

As technology continues to evolve, so too does communication. Today, we rely heavily on digital communication platforms such as social media, video conferencing, and email marketing to keep in touch with customers and colleagues. Investing in digital communication strategies and technologies will pay off in the long run when it comes time for you to establish yourself as a thought leader. Not only will these platforms help facilitate connections between people, but they can also build bridges between different communities and groups by providing opportunities for dialogue and exchanging ideas across geographic boundaries. By utilizing these tools effectively, you'll expand your reach far beyond what traditional methods allow - giving you an advantage when it comes time to make your voice heard in today's competitive landscape.

Thought leadership is an invaluable asset for anyone looking to make their mark online today - whether they're an entrepreneur or just trying to raise awareness about a cause they care deeply about - but it isn't always a straightforward process. From facing our fears of not being good enough or having something valuable enough to say to invest in digital communications strategies that are essential for making meaningful connections with people around the world, becoming a successful thought leader requires hard work and dedication if any progress is going to be made at all.. However, with determination and perseverance, anyone can become a respected leader within their field - all they need are the right tools! By understanding what it takes - mentally and technologically - anyone can become a successful thought leader today!

Edwin: In this journey.

Of discovering.

Who.

Or what my thought leadership is.

Maybe it's a fear of.

Labeling myself or not allowing
myself to be at all right.

So as I go into 2023, I think about.

Okay to do this podcast pitch competition.

This is a.

This is a level up.

Of what I created in 2022 from
live cohorts to summer nights.

To 5-day bootcamps.

To coaching one to one-on-one.

There's a quote from
the movie, the samurai.

With Tom cruise.

Whereas counterpart says you believe.

Man.

Changes destiny.

I think a man does what he can.

Until his destiny is revealed to him.

Welcome to Twenty.

Two.

Podcasts mini series that I had launched.

At the end of 2020.

To document.

A hundred X life.

It started off where I declared that
I would a hundred X my business.

In a hundred days.

Now I'm in my third installment.

Um, my 10 year.

Mission to document.

My life, how I manifest
the things that I create.

And the things that I learned.

And in 22.

I'm going to go over the five things.

That I'd learned.

In 20.

20.

Two.

Who am I.

As I started on this journey
o f The 100X Life, the multi

passionate business leader.

Entrepreneur and creator.

It's continually going, like, what is.

My topic.

Who am I?

What is my thought leadership?

I am passionate about many things
on passionate about communications.

When it comes to the podcast.

platform passionate about.

Communications and telecommunications,
which is voice activated business sense.

I'm passionate.

About.

Just listening.

And learning.

And being in communication.

With my family, with my
friends, my colleagues.

With strangers.

And.

As I think about my thought leadership,
I'm like, ah, Who am I like?

What is the one thing people
think about when they.

Have me in mind when they
come into my ecosystem.

I think about communications a lot.

I think about.

The love of communications.

But it's so cool.

Using because I have so many different.

Outlets.

So many different
opportunities, so many things.

And then.

I have this hundred day.

Process.

These hundred days, epics.

That allow me to be in flow
to always create and to move

forward to these audacious goals.

Am I a communicator.

Am I a process driven person.

Am I an entrepreneur.

What is my topic?

I did a talk.

But a month and a half ago.

Where I talked about 100.

X-ing your business through focus.

I pitched.

Uh, talk to a conference, a
tech conference, a SaaS tech

conference, where I was.

Thinking about why podcasts.

go wrong.

Um, And what makes it successful?

In this journey.

Of discovering.

Who.

Or what my thought leadership is.

Maybe it's a fear of.

Labeling myself or not allowing
myself to be at all right.

So as I go into 2023, I think about.

Okay to do this podcast pitch competition.

This is a.

This is a level up.

Of what I created in 2022 from
live cohorts to summer nights.

To 5-day bootcamps.

To coaching one to one-on-one.

And, um,

Who am I.

That.

Industry in that platform.

And I think about.

Executive producer role.

Um, someone who could
bring things together.

Around communications.

How could I win this platform?

And continually to.

Bring people through a communications.

So communications is a very big thing.

And I'm still redefining it.

Um, okay.

With not knowing it and I'm okay.

Going to 2023, still continually to.

Launch new things.

And play with my thought leadership.

There's no rush to this.

Right.

The one night I was thinking about like,
how come, I don't know that you got it.

And be an expert you can
be known for one thing.

You got to write a book, you know,
as I think about friends of mine,

colleagues of mine, I'm writing a
book and this is their stamp to life.

But I feel like, and I'm
in belief and I trust that.

It will come.

I'll know it..

And

There's a quote from
the movie, the samurai.

With Tom cruise.

Whereas counterpart says you believe.

Man.

Changes destiny.

I think a man does what he can.

Until his destiny is revealed to him.

That was a profound quote.

And allowed me to realize that.

I'm still in the journey.

Doing the best thing.

Can.

And I'm creating.

And I'm not forcing the what or
the who or the thought leadership

that I believe should be.

Because it's the best ROI or why not?

I'm just letting it happen.

And when it reveals to myself,

I'll definitely take the challenge.

I'll do my best.

Other things that came into redefinition
was really how I thought about.

My circle, my network, the people.

In my life.

Whether they're friends, colleagues,
guests, people in my masterminds.

And.

Releasing myself when it comes to.

Expecting them because everyone at the
end of the day is doing their best.

The best that they know
the best that they can.

Just unfair for me to put on the
expectations that I have on myself.

Onto them.

Right.

Just because people.

Our friendly.

It doesn't mean your friend, like
that was a quote I heard earlier

this year and I'm like, oh, You
know, I was naive in the past.

Where, when I met friendly
people, as I networked.

I mistaken them to be friends.

And that was a hard lesson
that I took home this year.

Because in the past where I was like, oh,
they're friendly, but they're not friends

because I am someone who is friendly
and believe that it was friendship.

So redefining what.

Your network means.

When people become friends or
how did your friendship become.

together, right.

It's really understanding
that, Redefining.

Expectations on myself, What am I goals?

Are they realistic?

And.

Continually to pivot.

And redefined.

My goals, my roles.

And when I'm doing
until, you know, destiny,

Comes.

And lastly redefining how family is
created this year is big, big year.

The family as.

We've head

into 2023.

From.

Defining how many meets
this year was huge.

2022.

And planning and trying.

And praying.

To have another child
going through fertility.

Processes having failed IVs.

And continuing to have faith.

Trust in what we were doing.

And excited for 2023.

To allow us to grow.

The family.

On the final episode of 22.

I'm going to share.

Some of the things that I've been doing.

That is sharpening.

And the new.

Tools processes.

And beliefs that I gained.

In 2022.
