Hey, I'm Sidney, and this is Agriculture in a Minute with the Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassadors. Today, we'll talk about some basic tips to get your livestock project ready for the fair. The four basic tips: connection, care, Showmanship, and Practice. All of these tips have set me up for success in the show ring. Connection is the most important tip.
Speaker 1:You want a strong connection or bond with your animal so you're able to trust and respect one another. Caring for your animal is needed so they feel comfortable. This may include fresh bedding, giving them a bath, feeding them a balanced ration, or just spending time with them. Showmanship is a key component to be successful. Showmanship is what sets you apart from other showmen and gives you the chance to show off your hard work.
Speaker 1:Last but not least is practicing every day with your animal can help grow your connection, improve your skills in showmanship, and show your animal the love you have for them. That's all it takes. Connection, care, showmanship, and lots of practice to get ready for the county fair. Thanks for listening to Agriculture in a Minute. This is Sidney with the Minnesota 4-H Agriculture Ambassador.
