Zaki:
Blessings? What even are blessings? Are they things we can see like a shiny pebble or a juicy worm? Or are they the things we can't see like the breeze under my wings or the way the sun keeps coming back every day? Maybe a blessing is something that feels small but makes a big difference.
Zaki:
Like like a single drop of rain that turns into a mighty river or a tiny seed that grows into a great big tree. Or wait. What if blessings are actually invisible? What if they're everywhere all the time, but we just don't notice them? And if that's true, how do we even know we're blessed?
Zaki:
What if we miss them? What if oh, no. What if blessings expire like old fruit? Do I have a blessing I forgot to use? If a blessing falls in the forest, but no one is there to see it...
Zaki:
Okay. Okay, Zaki. Don't spiral. Maybe blessings aren't about worms or seeds or expiration dates. Maybe it's about being grateful.
Zaki:
Or or maybe it's about sharing them. Or this is too much for one little bird who even knows what a blessing is really. I better go find prophet Ishaq. He's probably got this whole blessing thing figured out.

Zaki:
Episode 10, Prophet Ishaq and the Blessings.
Zaki:
My amazing friends. It's me, Zaki, your favorite storytelling bird, back with another wonderful tale. Oh, I've been flapping my wings all day just to tell you this story. It's one of my absolute favorites. Today, we're talking about a man whose name means laughter.
Zaki:
Yep. A name that sounds like happiness itself. This story is full of joy, patience, and the kind of blessings that only Allah can give. So settle in, grab a snack, and get ready to laugh, and maybe even cry a little as we dive into the story of prophetess Haq, peace be upon him. Let's go back way back in time to a beautiful desert where the sun shone bright, and the nights were filled with twinkling stars.
Zaki:
There lived a man named Ibrahim, who you might remember from our earlier stories. He was wise, brave, and loved a lot more than anything else. He and his wife, Sarah, had everything they needed, except one thing. They had no children. And, oh, how they longed to hear the laughter of a child in their home.
Zaki:
Imagine waiting for something you really, really want, like like a new toy or maybe your favorite dessert. But what if you had to wait not for days or months, but years? That's how long Ibrahim and Sarah waited, years years. And even though they grew old, they never stopped believing that Allah had a plan for them. One day, when Sarah was well past the age when anyone thought she could have a baby, a group of visitors came to their home.
Zaki:
These weren't just any visitors, they were angels. They came with news that would change everything. You will have a son, they told Sarah. And she laughed in surprise. She couldn't believe it.
Zaki:
"Me? At this age?"
Zaki:
She asked. But the angels reassured her,
Zaki:
"yes, by Allah's will, nothing is impossible."
Zaki:
And just like that, their wait was over. They named their son Ishaq, which means laughter because his birth brought so much joy. If an angel came to your house with big news, what would you do? I'd probably faint then wake up and ask, can you repeat that please?
Zaki:
Now, Ishaq didn't stay a baby forever. He grew up into a curious, kindhearted boy. Ibrahim and Sarah taught him everything they knew about Allah and how to live a good life. Ishaq loved learning, and he always asked questions, lots of questions. Kids, do you ever ask your parents a million questions like, why is the sky blue? Or why can't I have ice cream for breakfast? Well, Ishaq was just like that.
Zaki:
He asked his parents about the stars, the sun, the moon, and how Allah created everything. And you know what? Ibrahim loved answering his questions. He told Ishaq stories about his own adventures, like when he stood up to a king and broke the idols, or when Allah saved him from a fire. As Ishaq grew older, he learned not just from his parents, but from the world around him.
Zaki:
He noticed how the birds flew high in the sky. Hey, like me. How the rivers flowed, and how the sun rose every morning without fail. All of these things made him love Allah even more. And the more he learned, the more he wanted to share his knowledge with others.
Zaki:
Isn't it amazing how curious kids are? They remind us to see the world with fresh eyes. And let's be honest, they also ask the hard questions like, why is bedtime so early? Or why can't I have candy for dinner? But life wasn't always easy for Ishaq.
Zaki:
Just like his father, he faced challenges too. One day, Allah gave him a special mission to guide his people and remind them to worship the one true god. But not everyone wanted to listen. Some people laughed at him. Others ignored him.
Zaki:
And some even tried to stop him. But Ishaq never gave up. He remembered how his parents had waited patiently for him and how Allah's blessings always come to those who trust him. Can you imagine being in Ishaq's shoes? You're trying to help people, but they won't listen.
Zaki:
It's like trying to get your siblings to share the last piece of cake. Tough. But Ishaq stayed strong because he knew Allah was with him. And then the blessings grew even bigger. Ishaq had a son named Yaqub, who became a prophet too.
Zaki:
Yaqub's family was like a treasure chest of blessings with prophet Yusuf as one of his sons. Do you know about Yusuf? His story is full of dreams, challenges, and even a colorful coat. We'll talk about him another day, but for now, let's just say that Haq's family tree was bursting with goodness. Oh, you won't believe how incredible this family tree is?
Zaki:
Starting with prophet Ishaq, then his son prophet Yaqub followed by his son prophet Yusuf. After that, there is prophet Ayyub, known for his immense patience. After them come the mighty prophet Musa and his brother prophet Harun. Then there's prophet Dawud, the fearless giant slayer, and his wise son, prophet Suleiman. Later, we have prophet Zakaria and his son, the brave prophet Yahya.
Zaki:
And finally, this blessed line brings us to the compassionate and miraculous prophet, Isa. We haven't met him yet, but don't worry, we will. These are just the ones we know about. There might be even more prophets from this amazing lineage. Wow.
Zaki:
Talk about a legacy. One blessing led to another. And soon, the world was full of prophets who guided people back to Allah. It's like planting one little seed and growing an entire forest of goodness. So my friends, what can we learn from prophet Esauk's story?
Zaki:
First patience. Ibrahim and Sarah waited years for a blessing, but they never gave up hope. 2nd, kindness. Ishaq showed us that being gentle and loving makes us better people. And third, faith.
Zaki:
No matter how hard things get, Allah's plan is always the best plan. You know, this story reminds me of something my grandpa, Hoopoe, used to say. The strongest trees grow where the wind blows the hardest. It's true, isn't it? Challenges make us stronger just like they made Ishaq and his family stronger.
Zaki:
So the next time you face something tough, just remember, Allah is always with you. Well, my amazing friends, that's it for today's story. But don't fly away just yet. Next time, we're meeting Ishaq's brother, prophet Ismael. And, oh, boy, do I have a story for you.
Zaki:
It's about faith, courage, and a test so big it changed history forever. You don't wanna miss it. So until then, stay kind, stay curious, and keep smiling just like Ishaq's name reminds us to. Salam and see you next time.
