What is ...But God?

A weekday morning devotional series written by Aaron Marcarelli and hosted by Chad McBeam

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39 NASB2020
These powerful verses came at the end of a great song that I heard recently. Yesterday, God said share this song with your students. I did, God then said share your Testimony. I did. I am so blessed to work at a place where I can do that. Hopefully 🙏 God touched some kids lives.
The song is sung by Leanna Crawford it’s called “Simple”. I have the link to the song in the description. After reading the devo, please listen.
The song is so appropriate.
Some in the church have made the Gospel way too complicated. For some reason some pastors have moved away from scripture and wanted to be about “the experience” of church. I have heard it said they stay away from the Bible because scripture is “way to complicated” and has “so many interpretations.” They don’t want to offend anybody. So they tell stories, they quote sports heroes or historical figures instead of God’s Holy word. And we wonder why there is no revival here in the USA.
I say hooey to that. I rebuke that in Jesus most Holy Name. For “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
His words are true. The gospel is simple. Jesus died for our sins, He rose again and conquered death giving us eternal life with Him. No sin is too great for Him to forgive, no wound is too big for Him to heal. Without Him we are nothing. This is the true gift of Grace. An undeserved gift, it’s there for us as a simple message. Let’s tell the story of Christ’s atoning love through the wonder working power of forgiveness which gives us eternal salvation with The Creator of the Universe!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.”
John 3:16-17

Lord we thank you for the atoning sacrifice of Christ who gives us eternal life with you. We ask that you help us to not be ashamed or afraid of the gospel. Help us to seek to share your perfect, pleasing word, that is true, yesterday, today and forever. We thank you that we are not “too far gone.”We pray all these things in Jesus Name Amen…
Shalom blessings and Press In and Press On!
