Announcer:

Welcome to Spoke and Sole, a community built around two things that keep us moving, cycling and running. Whether you're chasing miles, hitting new routes, or just out there for the love of it, you have found your crew. We're here to share stories, tips, and anything that keeps us motivated. So lace up, clip in, and let's get moving with your hosts.

Terrance:

Welcome to the very first episode of the Spoke and Sole podcast. I'm Terrance, your host, and I'll be your group leader for today's session. So lace up, clip in, and let's get moving. Now for all you running and cycling enthusiasts, this is the home you've been looking for. We built this community for athletes just like you.

Terrance:

For those who power through the steep climbs on your bike and those who pound the pavement on those long runs, this community is the space where those two worlds come together. So how did we get here? What sparked the birth of Spoke and Sole? Well, Spoke and Sole was born out of a need to bridge the gap between two passions we love, running and cycling. We wanted to create a brand and a podcast that actually recognized that passion.

Terrance:

Also, we wanted a place to discuss and have discussions with a community that is made up of these incredible people riding the road and running the streets. The ones displaying the grit it takes to balance life with the discipline of endurance sports. We're here to celebrate those enthusiasts who managed to do it all. In the episodes to follow, we're diving deep. We'll talk gear, including our shield and recognition series, which is part of the essential athlete.

Terrance:

We'll get into that at a much later time. Training strategies for multiple sports and stories from athletes out there doing the work. We'll be reviewing local races and group rides, discussing the atmosphere and the culture surrounding them. We will also preview and review some of the major events in the world of running and cycling. This is about building a culture that respects the miles no matter how you clock them.

Terrance:

With that being said, I'm honored to have had you here for the first mile of this journey. Make sure you follow us and join the conversation. Until next time, ride the road, run the street.
