Welcome to WORDTheatre Weekly! I’m Cedering Fox, WordTheatre’s Founder and Artistic Director.
Today we're spotlighting Vincent Piazza, who is currently in Tulsa King and you've seen him shine many times in The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, and Jersey Boys. Vincent has been bringing short stories to life at WORDTheatre for years and today he'll bring you stories about struggle, time, and love.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WORDTHEATRE HOLDS THE COPYRIGHT TO THESE RECORDINGS. OTHERS OWN UNDERLYING RIGHTS SO NO PORTION OF ANYTHING YOU HEAR CAN BE USED WITHOUT PERMISSION. ALSO, NO TRANSCRIPT OF THE STORIES FEATURED IN THIS PODCAST MAY BE PRINTED OR SHARED.

Now, you’ll hear Vincent Piazza read Peter Orner’s moving story, Uncle Norm Reads Spinoza as His Cookie Business Collapses Due to the Rise in Sugar Prices in the Dominican Republic. This story is truly unforgettable: After sugar prices quadruple, cookie business owner Uncle Norm struggles to remain steadfast in both his commercial pursuits and his marriage with his wife Ida.

A man grapples with his crumbling marriage as he suspects his wife is involved in an affair. This next story is none other than The Mighty Shannon by David Means. Piazza, take it away!

We hope you enjoyed these two stories today. If you are anywhere near Manhattan on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, you can experience Vincent along with other great actors live at The Players stepping into Brad Watson’s stories. WORDTheatre's Author/Actors series at the Players is sponsored by Randy & Jane Sinisi and Phipen Studios | Post Production with a state-of-the-art post-production facility in New Jersey.
