0:00:00 - (Colin Johnson): Hey, friends, welcome to the Johnson City Living podcast where we learn about the people, places, events and flavors that make Johnson City a lovely place to live. I'm your host, Collin Johnson with the Colin and Carly Group and Keller Williams Realty. This is the first time we've ever been on location.
0:00:14 - (Eva Bachetti): I was super excited.
0:00:15 - (Cory Bachetti): This is so cool.
0:00:16 - (Colin Johnson): I'm here with Corey and Ava Bacchatic with Spa of Beaton. Welcome to the podcast, guys.
0:00:22 - (Eva Bachetti): Thanks for having us. Thanks for coming here.
0:00:24 - (Colin Johnson): Thanks for having me. This is the coolest. Mitch and I and Maddie are back here. She's helping out him with him today. And we're at spa, guys. And it's really super cool. We're sitting in a salt room doing the podcast. This is the first for the Johnson City Living team. We're excited. So first thing, city living, what do you love most about Johnson City? What the lady go first.
0:00:46 - (Eva Bachetti): I mean, it's my home.
0:00:47 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:00:48 - (Eva Bachetti): I've grown up two miles down the road and upstayed two miles down the road.
0:00:52 - (Colin Johnson): There you go.
0:00:55 - (Eva Bachetti): It's beautiful. And it's my home. You can't replace that. Yeah, you know.
0:00:58 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, it is. It's home for me too. We've been here for a long time. How about you, Corey?
0:01:03 - (Cory Bachetti): Um, that's the same thing. I met wildlife there. Yeah, it's been, I mean, a lot of important stuff happened in just the city for me.
0:01:09 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:01:09 - (Cory Bachetti): I'm originally from Connecticut, but I've been here long enough to call it home and. Yeah, so that's probably my favorite part about it. You know where the family is.
0:01:16 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, yeah. So how did you make it from Connecticut to East Tennessee?
0:01:19 - (Cory Bachetti): My parents moved when I was about 10 or so. They just needed a change of scenery. They were ready to, I guess, get out of the northeast and try some like home setting type stuff down here, you know what I mean? About 10 acres of woods and cleared up, built the house, did that whole nine.
0:01:31 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha. So you've been here since you were 10, you're here since you were 10 days old and yeah, I think the area just continues to grow. So you guys have watched it continue to grow?
0:01:41 - (Cory Bachetti): Absolutely, yeah.
0:01:41 - (Colin Johnson): And you're like, hey, it seems like it's missing something, right? I mean, and this is that where the idea for the spa came from? Where the idea for the spa come from.
0:01:51 - (Eva Bachetti): I have always had like a pull to the beauty industry, like since middle school probably. But where I've stood in that industry has shifted a lot over the years. So I've always wanted my own space Never really made that a concrete goal until probably. Yeah. Meeting you, I guess. So I've done wedding makeup. I've done aesthetics at other spas.
0:02:24 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:02:25 - (Eva Bachetti): Um, I have really high standards.
0:02:28 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha.
0:02:29 - (Eva Bachetti): And I know what I like, and I wanted my own space for it.
0:02:34 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:02:35 - (Eva Bachetti): Um, I want to have the purest skincare. I want to have a space where, like, our family comes, our community comes and can heal, like, on a real level, instead of just here's some chemicals or here's something to make you feel like you've done something. Because I don't want to tell somebody they look like crap and you need to come to me. You know what I mean? Right. I want them to age beautifully, confidently.
0:03:02 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:03:04 - (Eva Bachetti): And feel good as they do. So.
0:03:07 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. Yeah. We've got a lot of stress on us, a lot of hard things. You get injured, you get. You know, you just need recovery.
0:03:13 - (Eva Bachetti): Yes, you do.
0:03:14 - (Cory Bachetti): You need to rest, you need to rinse.
0:03:16 - (Eva Bachetti): So that's where Spa of Eden was born.
0:03:20 - (Colin Johnson): That's super cool.
0:03:21 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:03:21 - (Colin Johnson): How long do you think you've had this idea in your heart.
0:03:26 - (Eva Bachetti): Specifically Spa of eden? Probably about 20.
0:03:29 - (Colin Johnson): 20. Okay. Yeah. That's what.
0:03:31 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. I mean, it's been a long time coming. We found a location, decided to change to this location.
0:03:39 - (Cory Bachetti): This location was much bigger.
0:03:41 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. So we had to figure out, well.
0:03:43 - (Colin Johnson): What are we going to do? Yeah, it's.
0:03:45 - (Eva Bachetti): I just knew I wanted the building.
0:03:46 - (Colin Johnson): I got a tour of it. It's a huge building. I was like, is this an old bank or something? Yeah. It's huge.
0:03:52 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah, it is.
0:03:53 - (Colin Johnson): It is really cool.
0:03:55 - (Eva Bachetti): So we, like, tripled the space, therefore had to figure out what all to put in it. And. Yeah, it's just been a fun evolution.
0:04:03 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. Yeah.
0:04:04 - (Cory Bachetti): You know, we really wanted something. We believed in things that we would go do.
0:04:09 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:04:09 - (Cory Bachetti): That was the biggest part, offering the services that we offered. I mean, we met when I was doing my yoga teacher training. Cause Eva was working down there. Um, she was manager and teaching at the time. And, you know, we both kind of believed in being able to do things holistically, being able to help without necessarily needing to go just take medicine for everything. You know, there's stuff that you can do naturally that helps out that really works.
0:04:32 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. My wife Carly is very holistic. And like, whatever we can do to not take medicine, we gotta do. Right.
0:04:38 - (Eva Bachetti): Medicine has its place.
0:04:39 - (Cory Bachetti): Absolutely.
0:04:40 - (Colin Johnson): There's some stuff that is just like, wow, I can't even believe you can fix that with that.
0:04:43 - (Eva Bachetti): There's a lot you can do to help Yourself before you have to get to that point.
0:04:47 - (Colin Johnson): Right. And hopefully you don't have. Yeah, I think you're right. Before you get to that point. So if you take care of yourself ahead of time, you can.
0:04:53 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:04:53 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. That's pretty cool. So tell me about Spavi. Let's. I mean, I just got a tour, and I was just blown away. 1. That's beautiful. You guys look, like, touched every square inch of it and, like, painting it, putting new flooring, renew flooring new. I mean, it's just awesome. So let's start the top floor. What do we got up at the very top floor?
0:05:15 - (Cory Bachetti): So the very top floor's got three treatment rooms. One's a couple treatment rooms. That's for massage or aesthetics. You know, people want to come in for their anniversary or, like, run their wedding or any kind of special event like that.
0:05:25 - (Eva Bachetti): Moms and daughters or friends, whatever.
0:05:27 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, they are. Yeah.
0:05:29 - (Cory Bachetti): Um, Eva's treatment room is up there as well.
0:05:31 - (Eva Bachetti): Well, I'll share it, but, yeah, it's. It's special.
0:05:34 - (Colin Johnson): It's my special spot. You know, you can see her lighting up by now.
0:05:37 - (Eva Bachetti): It's beautiful.
0:05:38 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. Yeah.
0:05:40 - (Cory Bachetti): We've got another treatment there. We have one room that's vacant while we're still trying to figure out exactly what we're going to do with that. And then the staff break room is up there as well.
0:05:46 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha. Okay. And then main floor, when I came in, I came in through these two beautiful doors, and you just kind of feel welcomed into the space. It's just cool.
0:05:54 - (Cory Bachetti): So we've got the men and women's respective locker rooms with our retail space. There's another treatment room on that floor. Another room that's kind of catch. All right, now we're still trying to figure out exactly what that's going to bring.
0:06:05 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. We live two rooms for growth.
0:06:07 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha. You know, I like it and a.
0:06:10 - (Cory Bachetti): Lot of potential here.
0:06:10 - (Eva Bachetti): And that one treatment room on the main level in case someone wants facials or massage but can't go up the.
0:06:16 - (Colin Johnson): Up the stairs.
0:06:17 - (Eva Bachetti): Huge flight stairs.
0:06:18 - (Colin Johnson): Right. Some of us are getting older. It's harder to go up as. I just came from PT with my foot. Okay. And then we came downstairs, and I got a tour, and I was like, what is going on down here? How about that one? Take a look.
0:06:31 - (Eva Bachetti): So we're in the salt room.
0:06:32 - (Colin Johnson): We're in a salt room sitting on a ton of salt. Tell me about the salt. Is it. It looks just like. I mean, like, you think you can eat it.
0:06:41 - (Eva Bachetti): Don't. But you Could.
0:06:43 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, it's just. I was going to say it looks like a straight out of the grinder. Like somebody ground a ton of salt in here.
0:06:48 - (Eva Bachetti): So this is great for its main event is going to be respiratory health.
0:06:53 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:06:53 - (Eva Bachetti): And so.
0:06:55 - (Colin Johnson): So breathe deep while we're in here.
0:06:56 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. So when it's actually in treatment, there's a halogen generator over there on that wall that spits out just itty bitty pieces of salt. And this fan sort of sections it so that it comes across the room and it gets really, like, hazy and foggy in here with all the salt. And you're breathing that in, your skin's taking it in. Um, and so that helps with skin health, respiratory health, and then obviously just feeling relaxed in here.
0:07:26 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:07:26 - (Eva Bachetti): I always tell people this is like your giant sensory bin. You know, those are really popular for kids now.
0:07:31 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. You see, we have like a little rake and like.
0:07:33 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, that's what we've got. The little fish broom.
0:07:36 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:07:37 - (Cory Bachetti): No, this room has been very popular so far. This one's been a very big hit.
0:07:40 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:07:41 - (Cory Bachetti): Which is great. I mean, it's like a salt cave.
0:07:43 - (Colin Johnson): That you kind of made. Right? I mean, it's super cool.
0:07:46 - (Cory Bachetti): We just tried dim the lights a little bit. That fan sound alight. It's a warmer color than the can lights that we've got going. Um, we didn't want to have that turned on while we were recording. Yeah. We didn't know what would go on for the cameras and all that for sure.
0:07:59 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, yeah. Plus, I can see you guys, so. Yeah. This is an awesome morning.
0:08:04 - (Eva Bachetti): So we've got this room, the infrared saunas. We have two of those and we have the whole body electric cryotherapy, which were the first ones in the area to have that. So we're proud of that.
0:08:18 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, he told me. I said, how cold is it in there? And you said, how cold?
0:08:21 - (Eva Bachetti): Core.
0:08:21 - (Cory Bachetti): It gets down to negative 99.
0:08:23 - (Colin Johnson): Negative 99 degrees. And you want to get in there. So.
0:08:28 - (Eva Bachetti): So this particularly convincing. I didn't want it.
0:08:30 - (Colin Johnson): I hate the cold.
0:08:31 - (Eva Bachetti): I was telling them.
0:08:32 - (Colin Johnson): I'm like, right.
0:08:33 - (Eva Bachetti): I don't want to go any further north.
0:08:35 - (Colin Johnson): It's starting to get cold now. And I'm like, hey, let's go to Florida. Yes, but we're not old enough yet.
0:08:41 - (Eva Bachetti): But from a moth's perspective, when you hit, like, that midday slump, like, it makes a big difference. Okay, rush.
0:08:49 - (Cory Bachetti): It really wakes you up.
0:08:50 - (Colin Johnson): So how long are you going in there for?
0:08:52 - (Eva Bachetti): Um, my first time was 32nd.
0:08:56 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, I mean, it's different every time. You know, it really depends on your mental state, what you've got going on, if you're hurting, if you're not hurting. Um, you know, sometimes I'm there for a minute and a half. Sometimes I'm there for three minutes. We usually say like no more than three minutes or so.
0:09:09 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha.
0:09:10 - (Cory Bachetti): Think about like a cold plunge when people do that, like ice bath. But the water stings, it hurts. And it's kind of like.
0:09:15 - (Colin Johnson): It's shocking.
0:09:16 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, it's shocking to get out. This is refreshing. This is almost like when it's 95 physically.
0:09:22 - (Colin Johnson): Right, right.
0:09:23 - (Cory Bachetti): Like walk into a. Walk in freezer in a restaurant or, you know, if you walk into. If it's 95 out, walk inside and it's 60 degrees in the supermarket. It just feels great.
0:09:32 - (Colin Johnson): It does feel good.
0:09:33 - (Cory Bachetti): So.
0:09:33 - (Colin Johnson): But you have to put on gloves and like, I mean, you're gonna get. You can get frostbite. Right, right.
0:09:38 - (Eva Bachetti): So we've got sight in there long enough. Yeah, for sure.
0:09:41 - (Colin Johnson): But in two or three minutes, probably. Gotcha. That's cool. All right.
0:09:46 - (Eva Bachetti): The float room.
0:09:47 - (Cory Bachetti): The float room that's just behind us. So that's so much like a sensory deprivation tank is kind of what we were going for. We did an open air style float as opposed to one of the clamshells. Just kind of help with. People feel claustrophobic.
0:09:58 - (Colin Johnson): I haven't done that yet, but it does look quite fun. I could see it being very relaxing. Turn the lights out in there. Just kind of just chill.
0:10:05 - (Eva Bachetti): So nice.
0:10:05 - (Colin Johnson): And you've got salt in that thing too, right?
0:10:07 - (Cory Bachetti): Yes, that's. I think it was about 11, 1200 pounds of salt in there as well. So it mimics the Dead Sea to where you just float effortlessly. And it's Epsom salt. It's not like the salt that's in here. So it also kind of helps with muscle aches, you know, joints rejuvenating the skin, stuff like that. Yeah, right.
0:10:21 - (Colin Johnson): That's super cool. We've had a lot of people go.
0:10:23 - (Cory Bachetti): In there who've already maybe say, like, I've hurt their backs enough, they've.
0:10:28 - (Eva Bachetti): I can't have slipped disc, I think.
0:10:30 - (Cory Bachetti): So. Something like that.
0:10:32 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:10:32 - (Cory Bachetti): A couple people who've got a lot of anxiety have gone in and they said it really. It works wonders. Just, it really helps.
0:10:39 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:10:40 - (Cory Bachetti): So that's also big enough for two people. We got an XL float tank.
0:10:42 - (Colin Johnson): So. Yeah, I saw it. It's neat. I mean, it's just everything I wish we could show. And I think Mitch is going to do a little tour and show the listeners. But it is super cool.
0:10:52 - (Eva Bachetti): Thank you.
0:10:52 - (Cory Bachetti): Appreciate that.
0:10:53 - (Colin Johnson): You have some saunas too, I think.
0:10:56 - (Cory Bachetti): Yes. Two infrared saunas, four person saunas. So you can bring friends, you know, have a whole party in there. And they've also got red light therapy as well.
0:11:03 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:11:04 - (Colin Johnson): So, yeah, talk to me a little bit. I mean, Carly and I have studied a little bit about red light therapy, but tell the listeners kind of what are the benefits of red light therapy, dude?
0:11:13 - (Cory Bachetti): I mean, the big takeaway that everybody really wants to hear is the anti aging.
0:11:17 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:11:17 - (Cory Bachetti): You know what I mean?
0:11:18 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. Helped boost collagen, I think, and kind of takes away the.
0:11:23 - (Cory Bachetti): So there's near mid and far INF waves. Um, it just. That kind of depends on the wavelength. It describes the wavelength and how deep it's penetrating into the cells.
0:11:32 - (Colin Johnson): Yep.
0:11:33 - (Cory Bachetti): So it's really going into. And if I remember to understand correctly is it's kind of hitting the mitochondria in the cells. And I think that's what's doing is boosting that and really trying to keep everything, you know, where we want it to be.
0:11:46 - (Colin Johnson): Right. Well, those are the. Yeah, the power cells, the parts of our cells. And once you get those guys activated and they're taken off, they're going to feel more energetic. You're going to have everything. Your system's going to work better.
0:11:56 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. So the saunas have like tablets inside and you can choose which program you want and that is going to determine, like, which red light you're getting.
0:12:06 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:12:06 - (Eva Bachetti): And it tells you which one you're getting and what benefits you're getting from that. I always do detox. I think he likes to do cardio. There's pain relief.
0:12:14 - (Colin Johnson): You can just sit in there and do cardio X, one of the settings.
0:12:19 - (Eva Bachetti): That's my kind of cardio.
0:12:20 - (Colin Johnson): Sort of like that.
0:12:20 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:12:21 - (Cory Bachetti): I don't run.
0:12:22 - (Eva Bachetti): He's a runner.
0:12:22 - (Colin Johnson): I was on my bike.
0:12:23 - (Eva Bachetti): I don't do that.
0:12:24 - (Colin Johnson): Pedaling away this morning. Okay.
0:12:29 - (Cory Bachetti): They say if you're in there for about four to five times a week, 30 minutes or so.
0:12:33 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:12:33 - (Cory Bachetti): I mean, it's getting the same amount of cardio as if you were actually going out and running, jogging, biking, doing anything like that. It's. It works out part in the same manner.
0:12:41 - (Colin Johnson): Isn't that crazy?
0:12:42 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, I was gonna say. Which is pretty crazy.
0:12:43 - (Colin Johnson): It is super crazy.
0:12:44 - (Eva Bachetti): Love that.
0:12:45 - (Cory Bachetti): I wouldn't wish rather sitting there and relax a little bit.
0:12:47 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. For real. Read a book.
0:12:49 - (Cory Bachetti): Right. Get caught up on emails. Do something.
0:12:53 - (Colin Johnson): That'S super cool. That's super cool. All right, so tell us about, like, if somebody wants to come and get involved in their spa, how do they connect with you guys? Where do we find you? I actually said, carly goes, where are you doing my podcast on today? I said, it's Bobby. No, you know, I'm excited about it. I don't even know anything about it.
0:13:11 - (Eva Bachetti): Well, we have a really beautiful website.
0:13:13 - (Colin Johnson): She said she had seen a lot about Instagram. Yeah.
0:13:17 - (Eva Bachetti): And we also tried to make it really user friendly. So there's different versions for the web.
0:13:22 - (Cory Bachetti): The web, like laptops, like the web.
0:13:25 - (Eva Bachetti): Website browser versus your phone.
0:13:28 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. You got to make a mobile website.
0:13:30 - (Eva Bachetti): You can book online. You can find everything that we offer on that website as well.
0:13:33 - (Colin Johnson): Okay, what's the website?
0:13:34 - (Eva Bachetti): Spa of Eaten Co. Co. There's no M. There you go.
0:13:39 - (Colin Johnson): You owe me the M. Yeah, more efficient.
0:13:43 - (Cory Bachetti): There's also a link, like a little Google Maps link, too, to help people get here directly instead of, like, scrolling, trying to find the address and then switching out to Google Maps and all that stuff.
0:13:52 - (Colin Johnson): So, yeah. Okay. Say somebody wants to come out here. How many days in advance, like, do they need to be planning this. This excursion?
0:13:59 - (Cory Bachetti): You know, we ask that people book at least two hours in advance. Just that way on the back end, we have, you know, ample time to get everything opened up and make sure everything's ready and running accordingly. Also helps with scheduling just to make sure, you know, if someone's in here right now and someone walks in is like, hey, I want to get in the salt room. It's like, I mean, microphone as you can.
0:14:17 - (Colin Johnson): Right?
0:14:18 - (Cory Bachetti): Say, hey, it's going to be about 45 minutes. Or someone else, you know, you got to wait just a little while. So just for. For it to be cohesive and smoothly running. We try to do that.
0:14:28 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha. That's cool. Yeah, I'm. I'm excited to bring Carly over here. We're going to come check it out.
0:14:33 - (Cory Bachetti): I'm excited to have you guys.
0:14:34 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, it'll be fun. What are some. Anything else you want to tell our listeners about the spa that we didn't cover, maybe, or.
0:14:44 - (Cory Bachetti): Look no further? What we tried to say. Yeah, you know, I mean, that was really part of what we tried to do here with all the. Every single detail was people were telling us, yeah, we drive an hour and a half, two hours, go to Knoxville, go to Asheville to get a massage or something like that. Because there's. I mean, I can't tell you how many times I heard there are no good spas around here, which I don't.
0:15:01 - (Eva Bachetti): Think that's necessarily true around here. That's why I write this.
0:15:04 - (Colin Johnson): Right, right. She's like, I'm gonna make my mom's. Yeah.
0:15:07 - (Cory Bachetti): So people are.
0:15:09 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:15:10 - (Cory Bachetti): I mean, why don't drive 15, 20 minutes? Come from Kingsport, Johnson City. Yeah, we're right here.
0:15:14 - (Colin Johnson): I mean, we used to go to the Biltmore. Smile down there is so much fun, and it's just awesome. But I hear it's under renovation and it won't be open for a year or two, so maybe some of those people come over here.
0:15:25 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. The lady that wants to interview for massage on Friday is from North Carolina. Oh, okay.
0:15:30 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah.
0:15:31 - (Eva Bachetti): Did she say she worked at the Omni?
0:15:33 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, that's where I think. So it is. The Omni is the manager of. Yeah. And you guys are looking for massage therapists. Right. So if one of our listeners right now, if you are a massage therapist or know somebody, you can connect them.
0:15:45 - (Cory Bachetti): Please give us a shout.
0:15:46 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, yeah. Will you offer, like, memberships? Like, if you wanted to become like a salt room member, you could.
0:15:52 - (Eva Bachetti): So that's our goal. Yes. We're currently only open Friday and Saturday.
0:15:57 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:15:57 - (Eva Bachetti): We're going at it slow. We're going to add more days as time passes, and then once we're open, full swing, we'll have, like, memberships. Right now we just have passes.
0:16:08 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha.
0:16:08 - (Eva Bachetti): Because we're only open those few days.
0:16:10 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:16:11 - (Eva Bachetti): So you could buy like three salt room sessions for the price of. Or six for the price of three.
0:16:18 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah.
0:16:18 - (Colin Johnson): So that's cool.
0:16:20 - (Eva Bachetti): So, yeah, we have things like that right now.
0:16:22 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah. Because those roll over. I mean, you know, even if we did do, like an unlimited membership, and if someone did come in and use it every single day that we were open, it still feel kind of maybe unfair. It's like, okay, you're only open a pretty limited amount throughout the month.
0:16:35 - (Colin Johnson): Right.
0:16:36 - (Cory Bachetti): And I'm paying so much versus if you buy the pass, then, you know, you could still come every week. And I mean, you're still getting a deal. You're getting three for free.
0:16:42 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. So that's pretty cool. Yeah, I like it. Where some of the. What are some things you guys like to do for fun when you're not building a spa?
0:16:53 - (Eva Bachetti): I love good food.
0:16:55 - (Colin Johnson): Oh, yeah. Okay.
0:16:56 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah.
0:16:57 - (Eva Bachetti): Just dinner dates are always really fun or like cooking together.
0:17:00 - (Colin Johnson): What's. Where's your dinner restaurant you like to go to for date night? Timber.
0:17:06 - (Eva Bachetti): For a long time, Timber was our go to.
0:17:09 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. Yeah.
0:17:11 - (Eva Bachetti): We love the People there, too. It's just super co.
0:17:14 - (Colin Johnson): I think he's going to be back on the podcast soon because he's got something else got happening. Tell us about it. Yeah. I'm excited.
0:17:19 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. I've loved Nathan, literally, since he had the orchard Mason inside of Dos Gatos.
0:17:23 - (Colin Johnson): Oh, yeah.
0:17:24 - (Eva Bachetti): Oh, that was so good. I still miss the food he made there.
0:17:28 - (Colin Johnson): Nathan Brandon, he's a talent for sure. We're lucky to have him.
0:17:32 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah, for sure.
0:17:33 - (Colin Johnson): So I'm getting to see the backside of the spa. Like, it's all done, but I'm sure it wasn't, like, an easy process. Besides moving a ton of salt.
0:17:43 - (Eva Bachetti): Oh, gosh.
0:17:44 - (Colin Johnson): What have been some of the struggles.
0:17:45 - (Eva Bachetti): So what we're sitting in used to be a garage.
0:17:48 - (Cory Bachetti): This is all.
0:17:50 - (Colin Johnson): You wouldn't know it now. It's beautiful.
0:17:53 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, it was.
0:17:54 - (Eva Bachetti): I think the hardest part was finding the people to do the work.
0:17:58 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:17:59 - (Eva Bachetti): Um. Just because, like I said, I was a little picky. I knew what I wanted.
0:18:03 - (Colin Johnson): Right.
0:18:03 - (Eva Bachetti): Um. And some people were unsure. Like, I wanted the rounded edges on the walls and I wanted the arches.
0:18:12 - (Colin Johnson): And soften it a little bit.
0:18:14 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:18:15 - (Cory Bachetti): Um, try to make it feel a little more.
0:18:16 - (Eva Bachetti): When we found the right crew, it went so great.
0:18:19 - (Colin Johnson): Okay, cool.
0:18:20 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah. Yeah.
0:18:21 - (Cory Bachetti): I mean, bullnose for everything, you know, as you'll see, we do the tour, probably, and I'm sure you probably noticed the round.
0:18:27 - (Colin Johnson): The wall of record upstairs, which is a Sheetrock. Probably night hair.
0:18:31 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, probably.
0:18:33 - (Colin Johnson): That wasn't a Sheetrock about it. They left.
0:18:36 - (Cory Bachetti): Everybody did it, and they did a fantastic job.
0:18:38 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, it was beautiful.
0:18:39 - (Cory Bachetti): You know what I mean? It was. Yeah. I don't think we can rest with other people for that. It was a lot of fun.
0:18:43 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah.
0:18:44 - (Cory Bachetti): I think everybody should do that. Everyone should build something once or twice. It teaches you a lot of patience.
0:18:50 - (Colin Johnson): And, yeah, contractors yourself, just everything and like, the. When you get good craftsmen, you really can tell a difference. And it's just super. Yeah, that's neat. How the Lord made different people to be. Do different things. And just when you get. When you find your sweet spot, it's not. I mean. And they love it. They're like, yeah, this is pro. This would be fun. As opposed to the straight walls we're doing all day. We're gonna do these great cars.
0:19:13 - (Eva Bachetti): He just kept saying, yeah, whatever you want. We can make it happen. And I was like, wow.
0:19:16 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. Richard Tucker, he built houses around here. And they. Tucker drywall's been around for a long time. And he's like, yeah, if I can Design it. My dad's will. They'll just shoot. Rock it, and they're per. And then they do a great job of it. Yeah. And anything y'all are studying that you're thinking about adding to the spa in the future, or is it just going to kind of continue to evolve?
0:19:36 - (Eva Bachetti): Um, I'm. Of course, I'm an esthetician, so I'm looking forward most to being able to do more education with our esthetician Lindsay, right now.
0:19:45 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:19:46 - (Eva Bachetti): Um, there are holistic courses that you can do that really focus on the lymphatic drainage and manipulating that.
0:19:55 - (Colin Johnson): I was going to ask. There's maybe some other guys listening. And when you say esthetician, I'm going, yeah, that's. That's.
0:20:02 - (Eva Bachetti): So that means you're focusing on skin health.
0:20:06 - (Colin Johnson): Okay.
0:20:07 - (Eva Bachetti): Particularly the face. You're getting facials and things like that.
0:20:11 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha.
0:20:12 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah, gotcha. They do waxing and other services, but we're focusing on facials right now.
0:20:17 - (Colin Johnson): Gotcha. Okay. That's why you look so young. Cool, like, so very. Yeah. So you can make us more handsome is what you say. Guys shouldn't shy away from that. It's not just for ladies.
0:20:28 - (Eva Bachetti): For sure.
0:20:29 - (Colin Johnson): Guys should come in and get.
0:20:30 - (Cory Bachetti): Yeah, yeah. Everything here was to be, you know, all inclusive. It's definitely everybody.
0:20:36 - (Eva Bachetti): We've had people bring their kids in here when they're getting, like, a stuffy nose.
0:20:39 - (Colin Johnson): Oh, yeah.
0:20:41 - (Eva Bachetti): The kids love this room.
0:20:42 - (Colin Johnson): Oh, that's cool. Yeah, that's a good thought.
0:20:45 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah, it's for the whole. Well, most of the things are for the whole family. You know what I mean?
0:20:50 - (Colin Johnson): Right.
0:20:50 - (Eva Bachetti): Um, our big things. If your family is healthy and feeling good, then you're gonna be happy together a hundred percent, you know?
0:20:57 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, yeah, yeah.
0:20:58 - (Cory Bachetti): That was really. You know, we were about to have our little kiddo, and that definitely impacted, like, how we did this, you know, what we wanted, because we were taking that into consideration. We're like, okay, is she gonna be here with us? You know, we don't want her to always have to have a babysitter or, you know, we want it to be a family business at the end of the day.
0:21:18 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah. That's awesome. And again, are you on the Instagrams or what are you on?
0:21:23 - (Eva Bachetti): We're on Instagram.
0:21:24 - (Colin Johnson): And what's your. What's your.
0:21:26 - (Cory Bachetti): Your name on Instagram at Spa of Eden? E, D, E, N. Gotcha.
0:21:31 - (Colin Johnson): Cool. I mean, you want to throw out the phone number for people or how do people book? Just online.
0:21:36 - (Eva Bachetti): Yeah, you can book online on our website. And there's a link. How old are you as well?
0:21:45 - (Colin Johnson): Yeah, get on the rotary. Call them up.
0:21:48 - (Eva Bachetti): Okay.
0:21:49 - (Colin Johnson): Well, anything I should have asked you that I forgot to. That you would like to share? Just think that.
0:21:55 - (Eva Bachetti): How did I do? Was I too awkward?
0:21:56 - (Colin Johnson): You did great. You did great now. So. Yeah, a hundred percent. Yeah. So. Well, thank you guys so much for being on the podcast. I really enjoyed it. To connect with you and see my friend.
0:22:08 - (Cory Bachetti): Thanks, Colin. It was good to see you again.
0:22:09 - (Colin Johnson): So good to see you. And I'm like, just blown away by this thing. So I hope our listeners will come check it out. You're going to come out feeling better, guaranteed. You're going to feel better, your body's going to work better, you're going to just. It's going to make life a whole lot better. So you got to take care of yourself, right? Yeah, you do. So until next time, I'm Colin Jocelyn with the Colin Carter Group. If you want to move here and get spa treatments all the time, we love to help you do that, and I hope you have a great day.
