of 4% and a median pay of $78,000.

Here are the top 10 cities that beat
those numbers according to Forbes Advisor.

The top cities share high
demand for accountants,

abundant accounting businesses.

Affordable housing and
competitive salaries.

Now let's count down the top
10 cities for accountants.

Oklahoma city takes the number 10
spot with over 300 CPA offices and

a median income of around $63,000.

Albuquerque New Mexico
comes in at number nine.

Accountant salaries are
58,000 there on average.

At number eight is Denver offering
nearly 800 CPA firms and median

salaries approaching $89,000.

Up next at number seven is
Springfield, Massachusetts.

You'll get a small city New England feel
along with solid career opportunities.

You'll take home over $92,000 as
a median salary in sunny Honolulu.

Number six on our list.

Oklahoma makes the list again with Tulsa
at number five, projected to see 12%

growth in accounting roles through 2030.

Little rock Arkansas also expects 12%
accounting job growth, helping it rank.

Number four.

It also is the cheapest housing market on
the list at an average price of 207,000.

Tucson Arizona rounds out the top
three with its accounting field set

to expand by 22% in the decade ahead.

At number two is Miami with over
2000 CPA firms and a 23% projected

job growth for accountants.

Median salaries are around $63,000.

And the number one, Metro for
accountants is salt lake city.

With 33% expected growth by 2030
and median earnings above $82,000.

And that salary will go far in
a city where the median home

price is just under $300,000.

So keep location on your radar as
you plan your accounting career path.
